It's been 5 years since I've joined the Athena Familia. While I have reached Level 2 in 3 years, I can still push myself to become stronger, especially since I haven't learned any magic yet.

Surprisingly, I got along with my Familia the first time I arrived at their city and main mansion. Although some elves gave me strange looks, and I had no idea why. When I first met the Amazoness sisters, they were surprised when they found out I was the adopted son of Konor, the Weretiger. However, Havu was more surprised than her sister. She immediately declared me as her rival in place of my old man, which I didn't mind since it was enough reason for me to get motivated to be stronger.

Havu and her sister Aya are both Level 4s and some of the strongest members of our familia.

"Hey, Colin, are you up for a little sparring match? I promise I'll hold back compared to last time, hehe." Havu has a bad habit of knocking me out during our sparring sessions. She doesn't know how to hold back. I just thought maybe it was because of all the pent-up frustration over pops leaving the familia.

Both Havu and Aya dress like most Amazoness would, a revealing outfit, a curvaceous yet muscular body. Even though I got used to them being affectionate around me, I would still get flustered.

Havu's equipment consisted of a shield with a head of a snake emblem embedded onto the shield.

Aya has a spear as her primary weapon of choice, but Aya also had a talent for making crafts and items. Her secondary weapon was not what you would expect. It was thin yet strong weaves of string. Whenever she used them, it gave her an impression of a spider capturing her prey. Which, in a way, was a little seductive.

I learned about this when I heard that Havu and Aya were forced to join the familia after the two lost to challenges by Athena. Aya challenged our goddess to a weaving match. Although Aya had a talent for weaving, Goddess's skills were far beyond than where she was, so Aya ended up losing.

Havu, on the other hand, lost to a dual against my pops, Konor. She challenged Konor and my goddess to a duel for Goddess's precious materials as well as her money. Havu put up a good fight. However, my pops prevailed and defeated Havu with ease. Their skills were also significantly far apart that eventually, it was around the time when Havu declared my old man as her rival. At least until now...

With time, the sisters got along with Athena and accepted their defeat. All the sisters cared about now is having our goddess recognize their talents as equal to hers or even greater.

Our Familia mainly slew monsters that invaded certain areas that included small cities and countries.

Although Havu and Aya, including our other high-level members, also had traveled to Dragon Valley.

The Amazoness sisters together could take down a powerful dragon or even an Alpha which led them to level up.

That area was mainly where most members went to increase their stats and level up by defeating strong dragons and wyverns. I've also joined them from time to time to help improve my stats, even if it's just a little.

"Hey! Everyone! We've spotted the Rakian Army from a distance!" Said our alerted member.

"Again?" I complained.

That was also another reason why most of us were high level, the constant Rakian Army invasions led by the Ares Familia. I honestly didn't like their God for trying to invade our city constantly.

"Y'know what that means, right, Colin?" Asked Aya with a grin.

"Yes!" I responded as I prepared to fend off the Rakian Army as usual. Even though I'm a level 2, my equipment was more or less mediocre. Not that I complained it was better than nothing, it's just that I also would love upgraded equipment so I can better help out in most battles.

My equipment consisted of a bare blade, light chest plate armor, black trousers, and light armored boots.

"Hey, Colin~ If you fend off most of the Rakian soldiers, I'll let you have a free lap pillow, hehe~" teased Aya.

"...P-please don't tease me..." I said with an apparent flustered look on my face.

As we arrived at the city's front gates, we spotted the Rakian Army in the distance, getting closer while letting out war cries.

"Ares just doesn't know when to quit, does he?" I groaned.

"Everyone! Even if we've always defeated the Rakian Army before, be sure that our Goddess is protected and watched over at all times!" Announced our familia member and captain, Argus Erichthonius, a half-dwarf and a high level 4.

He has a slim yet slightly muscular build. Although he doesn't seem like he's strong, he's the only familia member capable of wielding a great sword, one of the bigger and heavier blades.

"Yeah!" All of us responded eagerly.

I was pumped at repelling the army once again. It allowed me to test out my strength and skills.

The mages began chanting their spells to give us some support from the rear. Most of the high-level members, including the Amazoness sisters, were also in the back in case they get closer to the gates.

As the rest of us charged, I dashed towards the front where the main force of their army was going.

As our blades clashed, it was fairly easy to draw their forces back as their army wasn't exactly powerful.

I was surrounded by Rakian soldiers in an attempt to take me down altogether.

I took a moment to remember all the things my old man had taught me.

"HEY, OLD MAN! Surrounding me with your other friends is playing dirty!" I complained.

"Haha, well, you do know how to state the obvious, Hahaha! Listen, kid, during times of battle, and you never know when your opponent is going to honorable or lowly scum that has to rely on their buddies to help win a fight." Explained my old man.

I frowned until pops explained to me what I should do.

"If for whatever reason you're surrounded by goons, be sure to wreak some havoc to throw them off balance!"

When I took a moment to analyze my opponents, I got into a stance, lifted my leg, and with all my strength, I kicked the ground with all my maximum force, causing a rupture.

The Rakian soldiers surrounding me were thrown off balance, and I immediately took the opportunity to defeat them right then and there.

"AHH! What's with this elf?!"

As they were in the middle of falling, I positioned myself into a fighting stance, and then in one fell swoop, one by one in a chain, I defeated the soldiers with the combat techniques my old man had taught me.

I looked back to be sure how everyone was doing, and sure enough, everyone had no trouble keeping them at bay.

They were pushed even further back when the mages unleashed their powerful spells at the Rakian Army.

The battle went on for the majority of the day. After a while, almost all of the Rakian soldiers were defeated or exhausted.

"Looks like today's battle wasn't that different from the previous ones," I said to Havu.

"Yeah. I don't understand why they are so persistent in taking over our city."

After the Rakian soldiers were preparing to retreat, Goddess Athena came out of the front gate.

"Goddess? Are you sure it's a good idea to come out now? It still isn't safe." Said, Argus.

"Thank you for your concern, but I'm okay. Nice job today." She smiled at Argus.

She walked up to the front of the battlefield.

"Hey! If any of you are still conscious, be sure to tell that idiotic god of yours to stop these pointless raids! It's a waste of our time!" She yelled at the Rakian army.

Frightened, they picked up all their equipment and disappeared home.

Goddess can be pretty terrifying when she's angry.

After a while, we went back to the mansion, where goddess had a small announcement.

"Everyone, thank you for keeping the city safe from Ares as usual. Our materials and ingredients for our items have been running low recently, so tomorrow, be sure to find some around the area where we usually go looking."

"Yes! Goddess Athena!"

She smiled at everyone as we all headed into our rooms.

As I headed into the room, I opened the door to find Aya in her night outfit sitting on my bed. She startled me.

"Heres the lap pillow I promised, hehe~," she said in a flirty way while patting her thighs.

"N-no, thank you!" My face was beet red.

"Aw. Come on; you should be a little more honest with yourself." She says as she proceeded to hug me near her chest again.

"A-Aya, I can barely breathe-" I said while still flustered.

"Aya! You shouldn't keep Colin up all night; he won't be able to scavenge for items tomorrow." Havu said as she walked in on us, hearing the commotion.

"Hehe, okay!" She let go of me as she walked out of my room with her sister Havu. She winked at me as she walked out the door.

"I don't understand that Amazoness-" I said while I got on my bed and drifted to sleep.
