Luck Of The Draw

CHAPTER TWO - THE COURSE OF TRUE ROMANCE, NEVER DID RUN SMOOTH

** Some sexual reference, but not quite rated "M" or "R"

"Good morning, Tony", moaned Angela, while opening her eyes, as she reached her arm up, so that her hand was in position to gently caress Tony's cheek.

"Good morning, Angela," Tony whispered as he stroked Angela's arm and hand before he leaned in, gently to brush a kiss upon her lips. "Uhmm, Darling," said Tony, savoring her kiss, "did you sleep well", he asked?

"Sleep! Who could sleep? I actually thought I would've nodded off at some point, but I'm just still in a state of shellshock. I still can't believe your home, and for good. I never thought I'd say this, but I missed your snoring Sweetheart. It's become music to my ears," laughed Angela. "I'm just grateful to be waking up with you this morning. I didn't think we'd ever be together again", Angela said as she pulled Tony's hand that he was resting across her chest up to her mouth to kiss. Angela didn't just give the back of Tony's hand a kiss. She wanted Tony to know how much she meant what she just said, so Angela rolled over to face him and crashed her lips on his, slowly sending her tongue inside his mouth, which Tony welcomed. They lasted in a deep and intense French kiss barely coming up for air for a few minutes. Finally, Angela released Tony only after gently biting and sucking his bottom lip.

"Oh Angela," panted Tony, searching for his thoughts, "my darling, you must be showing me one of the benefits of me returning back to Fairfield", Tony teased while pulling Angela in close, and reciprocating a passionate kiss. "By now, you must know that Tony Micelli never lets the love of his life go without a fight," assured Tony.

"Lucky for me you're more of a lover than a fighter", Angela joked. "But I am glad Tony. I guess I overreacted with Dr. Graham came in with that three-year contract. I had spoken to Mother and she got me to admit how miserable I was. She couldn't stand to see me in what appeared to her as a K-Mart special, popping beer back, and cooking. She just looked at me as my mom and knew that I was struggling terribly. But I was willing to be at a bit of a loss and be miserable for you, for us, Tony. I panicked. I shouldn't have left the way I did. I just didn't know what to do, so I ran," admitted Angela.

"When you left, you were so miserable. Angela, I had to let you go. I knew you needed to return home. It was like you said before, so we could come back to each other. I just needed time to figure out if I could make my job work, or else you would never let me live with my decision. I never wanted to explore the job in Iowa because I knew it would interfere with our relationship, but you insisted', explained Tony.

"Are you saying that it's my fault our relationship failed," Angela asked in a quivering voice of disappointment?

"My goodness, no my Darling. You had done all you could do. You've been so selfless. You over extended yourself so I could make it. You encouraged me, you sacrificed so much, you wanted us to wait to get married, you relocated to Iowa. When you left, the ball was in my court if we were going to work. I know what you said about us "having tried everything", and what you said about "us living the life we were meant to live". But my heart wouldn't accept that our happiness was possible being separate from each other. I spent day and night trying to find a plan that would make us work. Then at that banquet, which they honored me to cheer me up, and help me stay on board at the college, it all became so real, and so simple. It was like a light came on right as I was giving my acceptance speech. Before I knew it, the speech I prepared was changing as I spoke. I basically said thank you and then goodbye. For me only one of the two women I love the most was there to share in the moment with me. My awareness really settled in that you were missing and that left me broken. I hadn't felt that broken, if not more, since I lost Marie. And this was probably worst because unlike Marie, you were still alive, just not with me," confessed Tony.

"Angela, you are the reason I connected with Wells College, and you weren't there to share the glory with me. Honestly, it scared the shit out of me! It was the first time in 8 years that something major occurred in my life, and you were not with me. I said this can never happen again. Instantly it was all so simple that nothing made sense because you weren't there with me. I needed you and I felt like you needed me too. That was the same feeling I had when we first moved in here with you and Jonathan. From there the only logical thing was to quit and come home. There was no other reasonable solution. I can be a history professor and/or a baseball coach somewhere in the Tri-State area, but you can't be the President and the greatest female advertising executive in Branford, Iowa. I never want to exist anywhere again without you," Tony declared.

With tears in her eyes, Angela muttered, "Oh Tony, that's the most selfless and endearing thing you've ever done for me, for us. I did those things because I believe in you, because I love you! I'm so glad you didn't give up on our love. I was lost without you. I just couldn't see how to make it work for you and me with our careers. I couldn't take your dreams away from you, you deserved to have a flourishing career and in these challenging times, Wells College was the only institution giving you an opportunity. Awh… I missed your acceptance speech. Trust me, I wanted to come. I actually thought about surprising you and showing up, then I chickened out. So, tell me, what did I miss, Associate Professor? Oh, and Sweetie, I'm gonna show you the benefits of moving back home," Angela said as she ran her fingers through Tony's hair with one hand and stroked his chest with the other hand. "I promise to show you even more tonight! I'm booking us at a Bed & Breakfast for the rest of the weekend. We need to be alone, away from the house, and without the family," Angela whispered in Tony's ear, while nibbling on his ear lobe.

Tony's sweet spot was definitely his ear lobes, rakish as they may be. He just laid back in the bed and enjoyed all the nuzzling he and Angela were doing. Then he flipped Angela on top of him to her surprise. Angela lets out a soft squeak as Tony quickly places his hand over her mouth as he smirks. Tony loves being physical with Angela, especially when she least expects it. Now with their bare bodies pressed together again, Tony purred in Angela's ear, "I'll give my acceptance speech after my welcome home celebration this weekend", as he tenderly, but passionately kissed her.

Tony feels such a release from all his confessions, Angela's responses, and their playing, that he forgot they agreed to keep things intimate, and not sexual tonight. Before he knew it, things got kinky, as Tony began to caress Angela's breast playfully, followed by kissing and sucking her nipples. Overcome with arousal, Angela wrestled herself away from Tony's passionate grip as she whispered in her lower octave," Ohhh, not yet Coach!"

"So, I take it you accept my invitation Professor? If so, the only rules I have are no relatives, friends, work, and any other type of interruptions. Plus, we need to prepare not to come out the room for at least 48 hours, if you get my drift," Angela implied as she stared him down like when she trained him to contend in the Parents Association fundraising boxing match, then tenderly kissing his lips. She then got out of the bed and wrapped herself in the duvet on her bed to try to deflect Tony from firing them both up in a passionate trans of making love. It wasn't that she didn't want to, she just wanted to get some things clear between them verbally and not startle the family this early in the morning with bedroom babblings and passionate make-up sex. Believe it or not, she was still embarrassed from all those years ago, when she admitted she loved Tony in her sleep around the time of her birthday.

"Ohhh, I accept your invitation, Madame President, but I gotta warn ya, I'm so ready to be uncorked Angela," Tony declared as he got out the bed, staring back deep in her eyes, and standing in his Roman god sculpting pose, allowing the glory of his manhood to be on display.

"Anthony Morton Micelli, now you're fighting dirty! We agreed not here right now, but later tonight. Besides, being here together all night and naked was bad enough, but I needed you next to me and I needed to be next to you even if I couldn't be with you. I can't believe you are trying to seduce me. You should be ashamed of yourself Tony. It's 6:30 am and you know Jonathan and Mother are just footsteps away and I've already proven this room isn't soundproof! Please don't make me out to be a bad mother and naughty daughter, even though Mother would approve," Angela pleaded.

"Okay, okay, we'll stick to the plan. I'll go take a cold shower and try to contain myself", said Tony. As Tony spoke, he heard the floor crack from someone walking in the hallway. He ran to the bathroom, where he left his clothes from the bath that he and Angela took last night before bed, and quietly closed the bathroom door. Then came a knock on the bedroom door.

Author's Notes: The playful yet, sexual interaction and intimacy between Tony and Angela was a sweet release for them after being apart. They are still basically sneaking around, but more out of respect for everyone else and not making too much noise though the night. But what will come once they finally dance the horizonal mambo!
