Foosha Village Days pt 1
The sounds of screeching nails against a blackboard reverberated throughout the halls, causing one of the weavers of fate to pull too hard on the string and thus a little boy from the East Blue fate was changed. Elsewhere the Time Keeper cackled.
Luffy ran through the dirt roads of the village going towards the harbor. Everyone was talking about how a pirate ship was sighted. How cool was that, thought Luffy. There were rarely sightings of pirates in the Windmill Village because it was well-known that the Marine Hero, Garp the Fist hailed from there. He was known to visit his home frequently and gush about his grandson.
Lu came to a stop as he took in the sight of the biggest ship he's ever seen. His mouth dropped open and stood there amazed as Mayor Woopslap, slapped the back of his head, "Luffy go back home, you shouldn't be here, pirates are dangerous, they only bring trouble, so run along, you know Garp won't like you hanging around here," he said as Luffy heard nothing of what he said and instead ran forward and intercepted who seemed to be the Captain of the ship. He was the only man with bright red tomato hair, the same color on the sails, Lu thought.
Luffy stood in a fighting stance, "Oi, who the hell are you? Why are you here?", he was cut off as Mayor Woopslap violently yanked his shirt back and pulled him behind the mayor.
"Ah, ah, I'm so sorry, my deepest apologies for his rudeness, he's just a child, please forgive him" the Mayor said bowing repeatedly.
"Dhahaha, what funny people live in the East, we just came to drink and drink and drink until the very last tap, is tapped out, dhahahaha," laughed Shanks.
Mayor Woopslap trembled and nearly bowled over before Makino and Luffy caught him. Makino laughed nervously and said, "well mister-," "Please call me Shanks," the pirate interrupted, " eh, I own the only tavern in town, it's called Partys Bar. If you'll follow me I can get you and your crew situated. '' Perfect, thank you milady, like I said, my name is Shanks, Captain of the Red-Hair Pirates, at your service, day n' night," he said winking.
Luffy kicked him in the knee and the Captain went down pathetically. "OW,ow, ow, what's your problem, kid, that freakin' hurt," Shanks exclaimed. Luffy scoffed and responded, "You had time to dodge, you must be pretty weak if a kick from me hurt, shishsishi," Lu laughed. Once again, Mayor Woopslap nearly keeled over right there and then, bowing repeatedly and apologizing to Shanks profusely, " please spare his life, we will pay you, name your price but please don't kill the boy he doesn't know any better," the Mayor went on, though Shanks was busy berating and teasing Luffy completely ignoring the Mayor.
Thank enel, I bought extra cases of alcohol last week, Makino thought as she held onto the Mayor and could hear Luffy chattering away with the pirate Captain. Someone who could tolerate Luffy's chatter that long without being mean must be a decent person, Makino said to herself.
Later that night a party was in full swing, not a single pirate was sober in the bar and sitting at the front was Luffy and Shanks. Shanks was narrating one of his many adventures to a captivated Luffy that had stars in his eyes.
"...the most beautiful angels are living there," finished Shanks dreamily.
"Is there really a sky island and a god called Gandalf and real angels ?!" exclaimed Luffy
"Dhahaha, his name is Gan Fall and yes they call him God and all the people have small wings on their backs," answered Shanks.
"So cool! I wanna go to a sky island one day, can I join your pirate crew?" shouted Luffy excitedly.
"Dhahahaha, you're a 100 years too early to join me, no way a shrimp like you can survive," Shanks laughed jovially.
"Meanie! Yes, I can, I'm strong, my kick is powerful, I took you down with it, didn't I ?" Luffy smirked.
"Hmph, that was a lucky shot," the captain retorted. "Shishishi, yeah okay, " laughed Lu.
Shanks stuck his tongue out in retort and turned to pout with his head down on the bar.
Luffy laughed even harder as did Makino, who was chuckling as she handed Lu a warm cup of milk. Shanks was seen blushing by his first mate, Benn Beckman, who then went to shake his Captain out of his stupor.
"C'mon, you can't seriously be that embarrassed, unless it really did hurt, eh, Captain?" laughed Benn deeply.
"Not you too, Beckman," whined Shanks, choosing to walk over to Yassop.
"C'mon let's go Cap' you can barely stand," Benn responded
As Shanks turned back around he spotted a sleeping Luffy and pointed, "Hah, one cup of milk and he's out quicker than Buggy from a sticky situation, dhahaha," he laughed.
