The rest of the week dragged on, but finally it was Friday after classes. The twins were planning what we were all going to do after practice, but I couldn't wait to just relax. I was tired from all the homework, and practice this week. And let me tell you, it's hard work avoiding Oliver.

I notice a small first year standing near our group looking nervous. I look at him and smile, and he takes a small step forward. The other four see him then as well and all turn on him. His eyes dart to the twins and then back to me. He takes another tentative step forward, and then opens his mouth as if to speak. Nothing is said and he gets a frantic look on his face and looks behind me in shock.

"Do you need something? Are you lost?" I ask kindly.

The little first year just pointed behind me, "He told me to come get you."

I glance behind me at the entrance to the common room and stop in surprise. Before I've moved Kevin is already next to me and tosses me over his shoulder. "HEY OLLIE! I have to talk to my baby sister, but I'll make sure she's on time for practice."

"PUT ME DOWN THIS INSTANT KEVIN!" I yell as we walk out the door and he walks quickly to an empty classroom.

He sets me down carefully and pulls me into a hug, "I've missed you baby Kate."

I smile into his chest and hug him back, "Please tell me Professor McGonagall knows you're here."

He sighs, "Yeah, Minnie let me come to see you. She loves me. I'm here because I have some important news, and then I'm going to watch your practice."

I look at his face to try and decide if something is wrong. Why else would be he here?

He smiles nervously, "Don't look worried. I have good news." I look at him expectantly and wait silently as he takes a deep breath and looks out the window. "You know all of those letters I was writing over break?"

I raise my eyebrow and nod. Where could this conversation possibly be heading?

He cleared his throat and looked at me, "Well actually, all those jokes you were making about them being to my girlfriend.. You were right."

I cross my arms, "You came all the way to Hogwarts to tell me that?"

He closed his eyes, "You see, I've asked her to marry me. I wanted to tell you in person before it's in the papers."

My heart stopped and I took a step back as I gasped in shock. Kevin? My brother? Get MARRIED!? My mouth was still wide open when he looked at me with a guilty expression, "I know this seems fast and you wanted to meet her, but.."

He notices the tears running down my face, and takes a step towards me with open arms. I take another step back and glare at him. "Are you even going to tell me her name or invite me to the wedding?" And then my first hiccup escaped and Kevin winces. He hates to cause me pain, and he knows when my sobs sound like hiccups that I'm very upset.

He sighs and takes another step towards me, "Her name is Prunella Fontaine, but goes by Ella. She's French, and has 4 brothers. Of course you're invited to the wedding. You're in the wedding party... Katie, I love her. I really do."

I look away, because his eyes are begging me to be understanding, "Then how come I haven't met her?" I ask in a small voice.

He hurries towards me and hugs me close, "Things are just moving faster than we planned. You were going to meet her soon. I promise."

"Why are things moving faster?" I mumbled.

He coughed, "We're actually expecting a baby."

I look at him in shock. I sit down at a desk behind me and put my head down. This is too much information. None of which I expected to hear from him for at LEAST 5 years.

"You okay Baby Kate?" Kevin asked quietly.

"You really love her?" I ask quietly.

He smiled at me, "Yes, she's the one."

I nod and stand up, "Well congratulations. I'm happy that you're happy, but I need to get to practice. With that I sprinted from the room, taking all of the short cuts until I made it to the locker room. The only reason I beat my brother to the field is because he's out of practice navigating around the school. I didn't look at anyone as we walked out onto the field, but I could hear Alicia whispering to George in a concerned voice.

As we mount our brooms, I'm trying to think of the best way to break the news to Grandmum. She will never agree to Kevin A. marrying a foreigner or B. having(well making) a baby before they were married. Kevin will probably expect me to tell her too. Over spring break or something. He will avoid it at all costs like usual. We begin a practice scrimmage, and run through the new plays Oliver has made for this week.

"KATES! WATCH OUT!"

The last thing I saw before everything faded to black, was my brother sitting in the stands watching practice.

...

"I know, I just can't get used to it. You would think I would since I've known him for forever, but every time I walk in here and he's here too. I get so nervous. I'm almost glad he's not here right now."

I open my eyes and smile at my best friends, "Will you please stop talking about him like I can't hear you!" I wince as Alicia shrieks and launches herself at me, and realize that my head and whole body are sore. "What happened?"

I didn't miss Angelina and Alicia's nervous glance at each other before Alicia started talking about how excited she was about Kevin's wedding.. Oh yeah, I forgot I saw my brother before practice. As the events returned, I couldn't help but notice how nervous they both seemed.

"How long have I been out?" I asked looking out the window and noticing it was light out. I must have slept all night.

"Uh, it's been over 2 days since you ... fell." Angelina looked worried.

"TWO DAYS?!" I asked in shock.

"Yeah, Madam Pomphrey has assured your brother that the brain takes it time to heal properly. The bludger hit you pretty hard. We've all been so worried though." Alicia smiled at me.

I nod, "So how mad is Oliver. Has Madam Pomphrey said when I can practice again?" Alicia and Angelina won't look at me. "Okay, what's up? Tell me or I'll never forgive you. I know it's something big."

"Uhhhh, we have practice tonight actually.." Angelina closed her eyes and whispered, "It's actually a try out for another chaser. Oliver has decided-"

"WHAAAAT?!" I throw back the blanket and stand up. I sway slightly and look back at my best friends. "WHERE. IS. HE?"

Alicia gulps and whispers the library. I turn and storm out of the hospital wing at the fastest pace my weak legs can take me. I don't even notice the weird looks I'm getting from the pale blue night dress with short sleeve I'm wearing. It's basically a hospital gown with a back. At least my butt isn't showing.

I go down one flight of stairs and rush into the library. I glance around and see him in the far corner with Olivia. Typical. They seem to be having a serious conversation, but I have no problem going over there to interrupt.

I start to stomp towards them when I notice Cedric come into my path, "Katie! I'm surprised to see you out of the hospital wing! I was just there to visit you 2 hours ago and you seemed out of it." He falters as he sees where I'm looking with a deadly glare.

I notice Oliver looking up and look at Cedric, "Can you help me get back to the hospital wing after I have a quick chat with my captain."

He looks nervous, but nods as he wraps his arm around me to support me. Apparently he's worried about me falling over. Oliver is up and walking towards us. He looks so concerned, I forget for a second how mad I am at him. As he meets us he reaches out to take me out of Cedric's arms, but I take a step back and hiss at him, "How dare you try to take away qudditich from me. We both know I'm the best you're going to find at those try outs today."

Cedric stiffens besides me, and I can tell I've surprised him. Oliver frowns, "Kates, why don't I take you back to the hospital wing. We can talk about this there. In private."

Of course, all things related to the team are considered top secret, "No, actually we should talk about this here and now because I'm never talking to you again! You know how much qudditich means to me and you're going to take it away without talking to me about it. I've never felt so betrayed then I did waking up and finding out you're trying to replace me!"

He extends his arms reaching for me, "Kates, you're safety come first. No matter what, that's what's most important."

I glare at him and take another step back, so that I am flush against Cedric, "Everyone on the team gets hurt. That's part of qudditich Oliver! You know that! You sound like Kevin!"

Oliver looks guilty and looks away. I gasp, "THAT'S IT! ISNT IT?! KEVIN PUT YOU UP TO THIS!" I hiccup and turn to put my face in Cedric's chest. I can't let Oliver see my tears. "Take me back Please." I whisper to Cedric. He picks me up quickly and hurries out of the library.

I can hear Oliver hurrying behind us, "KATES! WAIT! Please just listen.."

Cedric looks down at me with concern as I start to hiccup uncontrollably. He takes two steps at a time while holding me securely in his arms, "Nod if you're getting enough oxygen Katie. I'm worried you're about to pass out due to hyperventilation."

I roll my eyes and nod when he suddenly comes to a halt. He looks terrified. I follow his gaze and find my brother standing in the entrance to the hospital wing. I try to get my hiccups under control, "Thanks for bringing me back Ced. I don't think I could have gotten here without you. Just put me down here."

He sets me on my feet, but doesn't let go till I'm steady, "Are you sure you're fine?" I nod, and he finally lets go. "I'll stop by later to help you with homework."

I smile weakly as I start walking slowly towards my brother. He's never looked more serious. His arms are crossed and he is scowling at me. "Katherine Lillian, you march your butt right back in here and do not leave your bed again until Madam Pomphrey allows it."

I walk slowly towards him and mumble, "She technically never told me I couldn't leave."

Kevin looks at me with such seriousness I almost don't recognize him. As I get near him I reach out to him and start to hiccup again, "Don't hate me. I can't lose qudditich."

His hardness melts and he reaches out and picks me up. He kisses my forehead and carries me back inside, "I'll never forgive myself for telling you that before practice and distracting you. This is my fault Baby Kate."

He sets me gently on my bed, and hugs me. "I love you Kevin." I say with a sad smile as he pulls back.

"I love you too," he says with a smile and kisses my fore head again. "You mean everything to me, and never want to see you hurt again." Suddenly he stiffens and looks behind him. His face becomes more angry than I had ever seen it. "What are you doing here Wood?"

I look in confusion at the end of my bed to see Oliver. Kevin NEVER calls him Wood? Oliver is like his little brother?

Oliver is looking back at me with concern on his face, "She came and found me when she found out what you decided about her playing. I just wanted to make sure she got back here safely."

Kevin stood in front of me, blocking me from Oliver just as Madam Pomphrey came rushing towards my bed. She began assessing me and lecturing me about leaving my bed as Kevin walked towards Oliver. "How could you have let this happen Wood? There's no way I will let her back on the team with you as the captain. How could you be so careless? That's my baby sister Wood! I thought we had an understanding and you would keep an eye on her?"

Oliver didn't take his eyes off me, and I could only stare at them in confusion. I had never heard Kevin this angry before. "I know Kevin. I've replayed it in my mind constantly since it happened. I will never forgive myself."

Kevin took another step towards him, "You need to leave Wood."

"Both of you need to stop. All this fighting is not helping the girl heal. She will be 100 percent in a week, and will have a note of returning to practice for you Mr. Wood. Until then, I do not want her on a broom." Madam Pomphrey said as she gave me a drink of a horribly tasting liquid.

"A WEEK?! I highly doubt that's long enough." My brother came back to my side and took my hand.

Madam Pomphrey looked offended, "Are you doubting my abilities as a healer, Mr. Bell? I'll have you know that this has been my job for quite some time now."

He looks down at me and frowned, "She was unconscious for so long..."

"I am aware of her condition, but with the correct potion and time she will ..." Madam Pomphrey began.

Oliver stepped forward as Kevin looked ready to get angry again, "What if she was checked out at St. Mungo's next weekend. Just to get a second opinion. Kates has to leave school anyways with you. It would be perfect. I know she won't be happy if she can't play qudditich. If we make sure she is healthy first, then she can play."

Madam Pomphrey shrugged and left, while Kevin looked down at me. I smiled at Oliver and then gave my brother my best puppy dog eyes. "Pleaaase."
