"Were here," Copo said as the elevator hit the final floor of the dilapidated hospital. As the doors opened Xero noticed the groups of people, all carrying visible MPC badges, none of them quite human, but some humanoid in form.

A harry, gray-haired, sasquatch like figure carrying an ominous hood and badge like Copo had rushed up to them. "I can't believe you talked me into helping you. Now the chief is unhappy," he said through a gruff commanding voice.

Copo ignored her partner's comments she asked, "where is he now?"

"In the main doctor's private office. We left it on a couch."

"And the doctor?"

"Already has preformed a diagnostics. It doesn't look good."

"But he can be saved?"

"Technically yes… but,"

Xero and Copo both stopped in their tracks as they looked at the sasquatch, unsure what "but" meant.

"Saving... it… can violate several laws. Just bringing it down here is a clear violation."

"But what seems to be the problem," Copo asked as she frustratingly pinched the bridge of her brow.

"The city council wants to hold a debate before proceeding. The doctor has been instructed to avoid any procedure they had planned."

Xero could feel her anger rising, not just for the bad news, but from the sasquatch's comments, constantly referring to her partner as "it." "So you are just going to let him die?" Xero asked angrily.

The sasquatch finally turned to Xero, then to his partner. "Copo, not again."

"The 1st one doesn't count," she reminded him.

"Let's just take her to it and we can talk business privately," he said as he turned away from the duo. "I'm getting too old for this," he said as he started to lead Xero towards the doctor's office. Towards Zero.

Katz and Susan sat at the mouth of the cave, the inflatable boat off to the side. Katz continued to look at the fire, contemplating their next possible move.

Susan sat across from him, pressing down on Mole's "M" emblem. Mole suddenly booted to life after 10 seconds. "I'm alive!" he said as he jumped out of her grasp.

"You were never technically alive," Katz said from across the fire.

Susan gave Katz a stern look that would give any hardened criminal a cold feel down thor spine. Katz looked back at her unfazed. Mole just sat there in silence, not unaware of the tension, but unsure how to react with one of them being his boss.

"At first light," Katz said breaking the moment of silence, "we break into that base. I recommend getting some sleep," he said as he laid his head down on an inflatable seat from the inflatable raft, facing away from fire and his companions.

Mole looked at his boss with concern, still wanting to say something, anything. Feeling like a child witnessing a fight between their parents.

"He's just stressed," Susan said as though she could read his mind. "As soon as this mission is over, a lot of things are going to change. Hopefully for the better." Susan then turned away from the fire and laid her head heer travel bag. She held onto her invaluable camcorder as though it were life itself.

And Mole just staired their, looking at the fire until he went into sleep mode.
