Greenwich Palace, England
Queen Genevieve Tudor nee Trastámara POV
February 11, 1504
I see little Arthur, little Henry, Edward Stafford, Catherine Stafford, Margaret Stafford, Edmund, Phillip, Eric, Elizabeth, Colleen, Arthur Stafford, George Stafford, Phillip Stafford, Anthony Stafford, William Stafford, and Mary Stafford paying attention to the horses.
I, with the help of my maids and ladies in waiting, bring the kids closer to the horses so they can pet them. I see Arthur and Edward coming over to me. Edward is probably worried about the children along with Sidonie of Bavari, his second wife.
Her black curls cascading down.
"What do you women think you are doing?!" Edward asks, his voice pitching high as he goes to his pregnant wife and kids.
"You worry too much Edward. Sidonie is fine! The horses haven't harmed her." I tell Edward. Edward grumbles up a storm, not liking the fact that his eight-month pregnant wife, as he married her in June, in 1503 is near horses.
I roll my eyes, and since I won't conceive until my birthday, November 21, 1504, so that I shall give Arthur another child.
Princess Camellia gave birth to twins, baby boys on November 11, 1503. They were named Prince Daniel and Prince Alexander. They are now three months old and Edmund is very protective over them.
Princess Camellia POV
May 10, 1504
What I haven't told Edmund is that I am pregnant again. I hope I am carrying at least one girl. I at least want one girl.
I see Arthur and Genevieve walking side by side as Genevieve is still sad that the children had to go to Hatfield. Every Royal child goes to Hatfield as a child for their education. Even my children and Edward's children shall be at Hatfield house.
Then they have a coming of age to welcome them back to court when they are ready.
To be honest, I want them to stay little forever. So the world won't taint their view.
They are babies, and they don't need the fear that comes with the tainting of the world view.
For Father, he would have tainted their view. I pat my hand until all the children come over to me.
I start singing to them.
"Deep in the meadow, under the willow, a bed of grass, a soft green pillow, lay down your head, and close your sleepy eyes. And when they open, the sun will rise. Here it's safe and here it's warm, here the daisies guard you from every harm. Here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true, here is the place where I love you. Deep in the meadow, hidden far away, a cloak of leaves, a moonbeam ray. Forget your woes and let your troubles lay, when again it's morning, they'll wash away. Here it's safe and here it's warm, and here the daisies guard you from every harm. And here your dreams are sweet and tomorrow brings them true. Here is the place where I love you. Here is the place where I love you." I sing to the children.
King Arthur I POV
Greenwich Palace, King's Study
August 8th, 1504
Genevieve and I get closer and closer to November, closer to her 16th birthday. As I am closer to my 18th birthday., Henry's 13th birthday has come and went, as has little Mary's 8th birthday. Margaret's 15th birthday is today.
I had already sent her a gift. A ruby and golden necklace in the form of the Tudor rose.
Then I hear news that my wife, my Queen is ill.
"Well Doctor, what is the news?" I ask after I hear my wife and children are sick.
"The Queen, Arthur, Edmund, and Colleen are sick with the sweating sickness, Majesty." Doctor Linacre says.
I rush into the room and check on Genevieve, having seen the sheets coming out. I needed to see her and make sure she's alright.
"My love, are you alright?" I ask and Genevieve and our children look at
"I don't feel well. I feel weak Arthur, my love. Please cure our children." Genevieve asks me.
"I will cure you and them. Do not worry my Queen. I will get to it." I speak. I get Fabian Denali on the case and he starts to make them better.
"What is a youth?
Impetuous fire
What is a maid?
Ice and desire
The world wags on
A rose will bloom
It then will fade
So does a youth
So does the fairest maid
Comes a time when one sweet smile
Has it's season for awhile
Then love's in love with me
Some may think only to marry
Others will tease and tarry
Mine is the very best parry
Cupid he rules us all
Caper the caper sing me the song
Death will come soon to hush us along
Sweeter than honey and bitter as gall
Love is a past time that never will pall
Sweeter than honey and bitter as gall
Cupid he rules us all
A rose will bloom
It then will fade
So does a youth
So does the fairest maid." I sing to Genevieve.
She smiles at me and starts to fall asleep as she has to rest as Fabian heals her and the children.
