To Tangere Peripher: Thanks for the suggestion for Kurama's name for the dragon. For some reason his name never came up in my head when I was writing lmao. I've decided to take your suggestion and change his name to Kurama. Chapter 1 has been re-edited and replaced his name with Kurama. Thanks for the suggestion!

Entrance of Pro-Bending Arena

9:15 A.M

POV Naruto

Hundreds of people gathered in front of the Pro-Bending Arena with Hiroshi in front standing on top of a stage, giving a speech on non-benders being mistreated and unequally by the government in the hopes of persuading the non-benders to join his cause of ridding benders.

Equalists are stationed around the entire entrance, with mecha tanks positioned in all corners of the Pro-Bending Arena, showing off their superiority and control over Republic City. But blended within their crowd is a person who has the power to change everything.

Standing inconspicuously among the many Equalists supporters is Naruto, waiting for Hiroshi to begin his speech, surveying the crowd and gaining intelligence on anything that may be useful for the future. Dressed in a long sleeve green Chinese vest, symbolizing the Earth Kingdom, underneath is a simple white cotton shirt. His long sleeves rolled up to his elbows and plain brown sweatpants. His spiky blonde hair now covered with a green beanie, completing his civilian appearance.

'He's about to begin huh... Lets see what bullshit you have to say about us benders' Naruto muses, rolling his eyes at the crowd's chanting and cheering of Hiroshi.

"It is a glorious day my Equalist brother and sisters. Amon has torn down the tyrannical bending government! He has declared bending illegal and, he has the Avatar on the run! Our great leader has a vision for the future. One day soon bending will no longer exist and we will live in a world where everyone is finally equal! The United Forces are on their way right now to stop that dream, but we will prevail!" Hiroshi claims, dramatically waiving his hands around trying to get the crowd more engaged.

'Honestly, he's like an endangered chicken with the way he flails his arms.' Clearly not impressed by his speech. Many people he knew would say his inner-Azula was coming out when he was irritated and annoyed.

'Although he is wrong about Amon and his ideals, there may be some truth that benders may be lording bending over non-benders causing them to feel insignificant and powerless. That way of thinking definitely needs to be put down.'

Hiroshi finally finishes his speech, Naruto swiftly turns around and leaves the Pro-Bending Arena avoiding catching any attention and moves towards the central part of Republic City, getting to know the city and maybe, just maybe find a ramen restaurant...

The Next Morning

POV Team Avatar

Team Avatar consisting of Bolin, Mako, Korra and Asami are in hiding, currently looking at the ocean from the inside of a sewer.

"Damn that Amon... He's basically taken full control of Republic City while I'm stuck here, waiting for someone else's help." Korra grumbles, absolutely hating the feeling of being useless and weak, kicking a pebble in front of her.

"C'mon Korra, you know none of this is your fault. It's because of you we have a fighting chance, not because you are the Avatar, but you are a strong person with a body and spirit who can accomplish anything." Mako whispers, bringing her into a side huge as they both watch the ocean waves, waiting for The United Forces.

"Ahhh! Aren't they sweet!" Bolin says, looking to the person to his right. Completely oblivious to the drama going around between the three of them. Asami, who's leaning on the wall, just looks at the pair and then looks directly at Mako's back. Unwanted feelings of sadness and envy rushes into her body, not knowing what went wrong between the two of them. Quickly she vanquished those thoughts and feelings and answered Bolin.

"Yeah."

After a few more minutes of silence, Mako decides it's time for them to leave their hiding and head in front of the docks, eagerly waiting for the arrival of General Iroh and his forces. The team stares at the morning mist, hoping to see outlines of their only help.

"They're here." Mako blurts out after waiting another hour. Exiting the ocean's morning mist and entering their field of vision are multiple fleets, with General Iroh's ship leading the way.

"Hmmm. Amon had to know we were coming, so why aren't we meeting any resistance?" The general questions aloud to himself, looking around for the enemy.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Suddenly explosions are set off all around the battleships. Iroh rushes towards the deck and looks around before noticing water mines floating all across the shore, waiting for their arrival. He rushes to the the bridge room, where he commands all earth and waterbenders to destroy those water mines.

Zzzzz. Zzzzz. Zzzzz.

Team Avatar looks towards the sky facing Republic City to see newly state of the art aircraft created by Hiroshi soaring through the air and straight towards the fleet of ships. Around a dozen airplanes begin to drop deadly missiles all across the fleets rendering them immobile.

'Fuck, we're cornered! We need to defend ourselves!' General Iroh says to himself, clenching his teeth as he starts rapidly firing off fire blasts in the air, destroying a few aircraft along the way.

BOOM!

'They're all too high, I need a better vantage point.' Iroh decides, running inside the ship and climbing the ladder that leads to the top of the ship. Finally eye level with the aircraft, he continues his barrage of flames, hitting more and more with better accuracy. The Equalists notice Iroh's persistent defiance and three airplanes change direction and fly straight at him. Iroh instantly becomes aware of the attack and begins blasting away the airplanes as fast as he could while they try to avoid the flames and fly closer and closer. The Equalists do their best to avoid Iroh's strikes but one still remains and finally reaches the perfect distance. The last Equalist launches a point-blank missile straight for Iroh who has no choice but to firebend straight at the missile.

BOOOOM!

A loud explosion takes place on top of the shop, with Iroh being blasted into the air and free falling into the ocean. Before he could plummet into the water, iron cables shoot out from absolute nowhere, wrapping around his waist. Iron cables that hauls him from near the ocean surface back into the air and onto something sturdy. Iroh's eyes widen as he sorts out what he's looking at.

"You alright there General Iroh? That was some explosion you got hit with." There Lin Beifong was, riding on top of a blue dragon as crazy as that sounds.

'Kurama... So Naruto is actually here huh... Thank God.'

After Iroh was safely on top of Kurama, the dragon let out a huge wave of fire destroying the airplane trying to intercept them and flew towards Team Avatar. Kurama lands in front of Korra who returns from the water, assisting in the defense from Hiroshi's new aircraft. The eastern-style dragon gracefully lands in a curled position, his head leaning down and waiting for Lin and Iroh to hop off.

"No fucking way! Is that an actual dragon?!" Bolin breaks the silence, uttering nonsensical sounds, goofily staring at the dragon who looks somewhat disturbed at his actions.

"Lin! Oh my god, you're alright! How are you here!" Korra walks up to Lin and gives her a bone-crushing hug, ignoring her protests, before letting her go a few seconds later and begins to stare at the dragon, starting an awkward staring match.

"And how'd you get a dragon..." She questions, still not looking away at the dragon who just lets out a puff of smoke from his snout, ending their staring match. Korra finally notices General Iroh's burnt shoulder and starts healing him with her water bending. Before Lin can respond to Korra's question, General Iroh, finally having recovered enough, is able to walk on his feet without assistance.

"His name is Kurama." Everyone minus Lin, looks at Iroh, somewhat shocked he knew the name of the dragon.

"You know him?" Bolin questioned, with the rest of them nodding and wanting to know more about the mythical creature. Iroh simply nodded and continued his explanation.

"Yes I do know him. Right after I got the emergency distress message from Republic City, I knew I would arrive 2-3 days after receiving the message so I asked Prince Naruto to come assist you all before I arrived. Prince Naruto is this dragon's master, who just saved me." Iroh states, rubbing the dragon's head, who leans into his hand, fully trusting Iroh.

"And who is Prince Naruto?" This time Asami asked the question, putting a hand on her hip, having never heard of Prince Naruto before in her life.

"Naruto is my cousin... But to be more accurate, while I am the grandson of Lord Zuko, he is the grandson of Princess Azula." Iroh tells Asami who quickly shuts her mouth, a shocked expression etched on her face, now knowing that she's talking to Fire Nation royalty here. Not only Asami, but all of Team Avatar, especially Korra since they are descendants of her past life's friends.

"Where is Naruto by the way, we could certainly use his assistance right now?" Iroh asks the metalbender who surprisingly came with Kurama alone.

"Prince Naruto is somewhere else within Republic City, wanting to gather some information about the Equalists and their supporters. The last time I saw him we told me that he was heading for the Equalist Rally that was held by Hiroshi yesterday." Lin explains to everyone. Shocking Korra and Mako as they were also in attendance for the Equalist Rally.

"He was there?! I didn't see him?" Korra mutters out loud, slightly bummed she couldn't meet him in person.

"There was no way for you to detect Prince Naruto, he was wearing civilian attire and covering his noticeable features. I doubt you could even recognize him without his disguise, you probably don't even know what he looks like anyways." Lin says, with a blank stare at Korra, looking at her as if she's stupid, causing everyone to chuckle at her expense.

The dragon, having waited long enough, let out a loud grunt, smoke and small blue flames leave his snout, gathering everyone's attention. Kurama gets on his hind legs, and looks down at Lin, seemingly waiting for something.

"Alright, Thank you Kurama. You can go back to Naruto now. Be safe." Lin says to the dragon, who nods and spreads his wings, and flies off looking for his master.

"Wow... It must be awesome having a dragon like that as your partner." Korra admits, staring at the dragon as it begins fading from her sight, before being knocked on her ass by Naga and letting out a bark and pouting at her.

"C'mon we need to retreat and plan for our next move. Things should be smoother with Naruto here in Republic City watching our backs." Iroh says, while everyone begins walking back into the sewers to their main base.

"You seem to hold Prince Naruto in high regard, coming from someone of your position, General Iroh. Is he really that powerful that he brings you that much reassurance." Asami questions, curious about who this Naruto person is if he brings out so much respect from the General of The United Forces.

"For good reason of course, Prince Naruto is a once in a generation firebender. As of right now, Naruto is almost on par with my grandfather, if not already equal to him." The general smiles in amusement at the expressions shown on their faces, knowing that it is hard to believe.

"Well damn! He's way better than Mako, good thing he's on our side guys." Bolin exclaims, causing Mako to elbow him in the ribs extra hard, everybody has some pride within themselves.

After a few more minutes of walking, they reach the main base where they all walk towards Gommu the Hobo. Team Avatar greets Goomu and Iroh asks if anyone has a way to relay a message to the United Forces, warning them of the Equalist. Goomu, who is surprisingly a hobo, when he has all the capabilities to become someone successful, with all his talents was somehow able to send a warning message to Commander Bumi and his forces, saving them from the traps laid out by the Equalists.

Everyone gets situated and are all circled around a desk with a map of Republic City spread across. General Iroh is in the middle of the table creating the plan for them to sabotage their aircraft.

"Now comes the hard part, We need a plan to ground those aircraft, otherwise Bumi's fleet would never be able to retake the city." He explains, everybody is onboard with the plan, and Lin takes out her radio-transmitter and relays a message to Naruto about their plan. Korra stays behind when everyone separates, trying to get some sleep before the long day tomorrow, until she blurts out,

"Wait! I'm sorry but I'm not going with you tomorrow. I'm sick and tired of hiding from Amon, it's time I face him." Korra says, wanting to finally end this meaningless feud between benders and non-benders, believing she must confront Amon because she is the Avatar.

"That's not a good plan, we need to stick together." General Iroh argues, not wanting Korra to face Amon alone and sticking by the rule of strength in numbers.

"I'm not waiting for him to hunt me down. My guts telling me it's time to end this, on my terms." She argues, standing her ground on the choice, crossing her arms and staring at them.

"She won't be, I'm going with you." Mako says, leaving Asami's side and chooses to stand with Korra. Asami who just looks at the ground, not wanting to see the scene in front of her.

"My grandfather would respect the Avatar's instincts, then so will I." General Iroh eventually agrees, and orders everyone to get some rest before the big day tomorrow morning.

Next Morning

6:10 A.M

Everybody is up and saying their prayers to one another, hoping everything goes the way they plan it to. The last people left were Asami and Mako, who were avoiding each other until the last second possible.

"Asami... I'm sorry things got so messed up between us, but whatever happens today, I want you to know how much I care about you." Mako confesses, feeling guilty about what he's been Asami through, having found out her father is an Equalist, and now facing these romantic relationships struggles.

Asami steps up close to Mako, invading his personal space before giving him her answer. "I care about you too... But I believe it's time we broke up... Officially. I see how much you care for Korra and this whole relationship is getting between you guys. I just want to see you happy Mako, and I know she brings you the most happiness." She says, stepping back before rushing back towards the group leaving Mako alone.

"Asami..." Mako mutters, staring at her retreating form, ignoring Korra's hand on his shoulder, and walks away.

7:40 A.M

Snowy Mountains

Somewhere in the middle of the snowy mountains, Bolin, Asami, Lin, General Iroh, and Naga with Pabu are scaling to the top of a mountain peak, hoping to find the Equalist's Airbase. Just as they were about to reach the summit, Lin orders everyone to stop, before using her seismic sense.

"Everyone be quiet, we were right, there's an Airbase and Equalists that are all on the other side of this mountain. We need to be careful. We can sneak in through the side, no one is guarding there." Lin explains to the group, slowly leading the way down the mountain, into a dirt road that leads to the airbase. Bolin orders Naga and Pabu to wait there and hide, while they infiltrate the Equalists base.

Lin once again uses her seismic sense and determines that nobody notices them and walks forward. Everybody follows her lead, when Asami ponders her thoughts out loud, "Why would there be fence posts with no fence?" Although it was something strange, it did not warrant any of her suspicion.

"AHHHHHH!" They all scream in pain. Right as they all walk into the space between fence posts, highly powered electricity enters their body and unable to protect themselves, they all fall into the snow unconscious, for Hiroshi and his subordinates to capture them and throw them all in a prison cell.

7:50 AM

Inside Airbase

Opening the door that leads to the newly captured intruders, Hiroshi enters the room, located at the back of the room is a prison cell withholding them all. Hiroshi though couldn't care less about any of them except for his daughter, Asami. He walks to the front of the cell, completely confident and safe, as the cell is made from platinum, so not even someone like Lin Beifong can break free. He stares at his daughter, heart hurting as she was also hit by the megawatt electricity fence. The young woman starts to wake up after hearing her father's footsteps, and is able to get back on her knees before staring him in the face.

"Asami, I know I have hurt you, and I am sorry... But I believe that one day you will come to your senses and we can be a family again." Her father apologizes, trying to reason with his only child, desperately wanting her to join his side. Asami just gets more angry and upset at her father, "Are you insane? How can we be a family after everything you've done? Mom would hate you for what you've become." She spits out, disappointed in him for choosing this path of revenge and destruction.

"How dare you! I am avenging her death! Without these damn benders, she would still be alive right now! With us! With me! There is no hope for benders who only seek to hurt people!" Hiroshi yells, tired of his ignorant daughter playing the victim, when he believes the benders are the root of all problems.

A few seconds later, the door opens again, showing one of the Equalists, who is bearing news for him.

"The airplanes are ready for takeoff sir." His subordinate says, dutifully standing behind Hiroshi, awaiting his orders.

"Good, annihilate the fleet... That's right General, I intercepted your warning to Commander Bumi. Its only a matter of time before my aircrafts arrive to where they're hiding." Hiroshi brags, before taking a step back and leaving.

"AHHHHH!"

Hiroshi screams in agony, an electrified glove holding onto his shoulder, bringing him down to the ground before going unconscious.

Everybody is stunned at the display, never thinking that an Equalist would betray Amon. The Equalist finally lets go of Hiroshi after confirming his unconsciousness, and takes off his glove, throwing it away to the side. The traitor reaches for the mask covering his face, slowly taking off the mask, blonde hair falling out from the skin tight mask, and opens his azure blue eyes to them all.

"Naruto!"

"Prince Naruto."

Iroh and Lin say in unison, seemingly a burden has been lifted from them. Their initial reactions cause both Bolin and Asami to look at Naruto, wanting to see the face of the person General Iroh spoke so highly of. Both Bolin and Asami are somewhat in awe of Naruto, both for different reasons.

'Holy shit! Look how cool he is! And his entrance was fucking awesome!' Bolin mentally fanboying over him.

'Wow... He is quite handsome, but I'll keep that to myself... And quite muscular too...' Asami thinks, her cheeks reddening slightly, but thankfully unnoticeable with her makeup on. The Equalist suit, accenting all of Naruto's broad shoulders and defined muscles.

"Looks like everyone's all safe and uninjured, that's good. Time to get you guys out of here, there's no time to waste. The Avatar may still need our help." Naruto says, bending down to Hiroshi's body and taking the keys that were inside his pockets. After finding the right key, Naruto unlocks the door to the prison cell and starts to break everyone free, starting with Asami. He gets down to one knee and gets his first, clean look at Asami Sato. Unbeknownst to everyone else, he's somewhat dumbfounded, like someone has taken his breath away.

'Wow... She is very pretty... Just wow...' The Prince idly muses, before snapping out of it. Not wanting her to think of him as some kind of weirdo on their first meeting.

"I'm sorry you had to see that. He is your father after all, isn't he." Naruto asks, wanting to somewhat apologize to her for hurting her father. He quickly uses small amounts of firebending, and drags his finger through the ropes, cutting through them like butter. Asami just nods her head, already accepting his apology but not in the mood to talk, until she notices his firebending isn't the normal fiery red color.

"Blue fire? How's that even possible." Asami questions, although she's technology and math smart, she never paid close attention to history, causing Naruto to chuckle at her. Not used to being asked that question, basically everyone in the Fire Nation knows who he is and wants to know everything about his personal life, so somebody who's completely clueless on who he is was somewhat a breath of fresh air.

"Well I am the grandson of Azula after all, I may not look it but this should be enough proof." He says, holding his palm out before bright blue flames erupt from his hand for a few seconds.

"WHAAAT?! You have blue flames too! Holy shit! What can't you do!" Bolin continues his fanboying, staring basically in his eyes. Naruto just raises his eyebrow at his antics and just shrugs before releasing everyone else from their restraints.

"Good to see you Naruto, it seems I owe you once more." Sighing as he knew he would have to treat Naruto out for ramen twice now. Before both of them give each a bro hug, glad they both made it out safe up until now.

With everyone released Naruto begins heading towards the door, before the iron door is violently destroyed and Naga comes barging in, her eyes noticing Naruto still in his Equalists disguise, leaps at Naruto and tackling him to the ground, ready to seemingly bite his head off. He closes his eyes and brings his hands to his face, wanting to somewhat protect himself from this beast.

"Naga! Stop this right now! He's not the bad guy! Bad girl!" Asami shouts at Naga, running up to the polar-bear dog, fruitlessly trying to get the animal off him. Naga just tilts her head to the side in confusion before sniffing Naruto.

"Uhhh... Hi?" Naruto awkwardly greets the polar-bear dog and lets out some strained laughing. Sensing no ill-intent she licks his face as an apology, slobbering all over Naruto's face now.

"Gross!" Naruto cries out, definitely wasn't scared shitless by being tackled by a large animal who was about to eat him alive.

After cleaning his face free from Naga's slobber, everyone leaves the building, General Iroh reminds everyone of their plan, while Naruto shuts his eyes and smiles to himself, unworried about the Equalists.

Team Avatar, having reached the front of the airbase, ready to fight off Equalists at a moment's notice, realize that smoke and ashes are everywhere. All across the runway everything was destroyed, aircraft and mech tanks, all charred with some residual blue fire left. Their plans are thrown out the window as it's already been done without them ever noticing. They all just turn to Naruto, correlating the blue fire to himself, forgetting one factor. He smirks and points above the sky.

Up in the mountainous atmosphere is Kurama, breathing fire directly at the last aircraft before letting out a proud roar. He notices his master and swiftly descends onto the snow, directly in front of Naruto.

"Great job buddy, I see you're still raring to go." Naruto praises his partner, affectionately rubbing the underside of his jaw, resulting in Kurama letting out a small hum in contentment.

"Hmmm. You do work quite fast, Prince Naruto, it's a shame that there's no one like you in Republic City's Police Department." Lin laments, knowing how much easier her job would be if Naruto were somehow able to work for her.

"Well now that our plans are finished earlier than expected. What happens now?" Asami asks, really not having expected this to be this easy, though mainly it is because of Naruto.

"I have a suggestion, if you're all willing to hear me out." Everyone turns their attention to Naruto, ready to hear his plan.

"Auntie Lin and Iroh with Naga will stay behind and capture all the Equalists and go back to the sewer base and contact Commander Bumi, giving him the signal to come to Republic City and help retake control. While Bolin, Asami and I fly on Kurama all the way to the Pro-bending Arena to assist Avatar Korra in any way possible. Any problems with that?" Naruto says, looking at everyone and waiting for their opinion.

"Sounds like a great plan to me, I'm all for it." Asami smiles and steps next to Naruto, flexing the electrified glove that he tossed away.

"Ohhh! Ohhh! I get to ride on Kurama?! Count me in!" Bolin screams, already hopping on Kurama, much to the dragon's annoyance. The Chief and General both look at each other and shrug before agreeing with the plan.

Naruto hops in front of Bolin, leaving a little space for Asami to be in the middle, he extends his hands to the partially nervous woman. Although she's rode high-tech speedy cars before, flying on a dragon is a completely different thing entirely.

"C'mon now, It's completely safe! Just hold on to me tightly and nothing's gonna happen." Naruto smiles at her, his blue eyes sparkling, radiating trust and confidence, encouraging her to take his hand.

"A-alright then..." She smiles nervously, grabbing Naruto's hand, the warmth and his hand completely covers her small hands, causing her to blush a little, before he pulls her up Kurama.

"Alright, are we all ready?! Let's go, Kurama!"

Finally finished this chapter! Is it me, or did Mako never officially break up with Asami? It seems he just starts liking Korra and just dismisses Asami right after, never actually breaking up with her and starts dating Korra. Kind of a dick move to me lmao. Anyways thank you for all the positive reviews! Till next time!
