Katherine paced before the Hotel Team as they all sat squished together on the couch. Even Alastor sat perched on the arm, unwilling to be in such close proximity, but unable to remain standing for too long.

"I think…" she began nervously, wringing her hands. "I think I was able to make a good case. All my memories are back and I told them in detail why I thought all of you deserved a second chance." She didn't make eye contact with her son as she said this, and it was not lost on him. She kept her eyes trained on Charlie. "Your father was actually very in favor of it," she said with warm eyes.

Charlie blushed, her eyes going wide. "He...he was?" Katherine nodded assuringly.

"Michael might need some convincing...I don't know what he'll say. But we at least had…" she paused, discomfort filled her as she admitted, "The Devil's blessing."

Charlie leaped to her feet and ran up to grab Katherine's hands. "This is AMAZING," she squealed, jumping like a rabbit. "We might actually get a chance. Dad actually…" she trailed off and shook her head. "Thank you thank you THANK YOU," Charlie wrapped her arms around the angel and Katherine felt tears wet her shoulder. "We couldn't have done this without you."

Katherine squeezed her tightly, still not making eye contact with Alastor. "I don't know when we'll hear back. But things look good Charlotte. They do."

Vaggie looked at the others and saw they were all meekly checking their cuticles or shoes. She got off the couch and took Charlie in her arms, kissing the top of her head. "I'm glad hon, but we still have to wait," she said cautiously. "Let's not get our hopes up til we get the news ok?" Charlie seemed to deflate a little but nodded. She knew Vaggie was right.

"Ok, ok," Charlie jittered, playing with her hair. "So for now...ummm...for now let's all just make sure that we're on our best behaviour. Putting our best foot forward," she jabbed an arm at the demons on the couch. They didn't react.

Charlie faltered but took a deep breath and continued, softer, more sincere this time. "I know it's still a long shot. But you guys never even thought we could get this far...right? It's at least something. I know we shouldn't set ourselves up to be disappointed but let's at least make sure that if an angel comes with GOOD news they aren't...put off by anything?"

Nifty gave her a smile but the others wordlessly got up to go to their respective rooms. Vaggie gave Charlie's hand a squeeze and attempted a smile. She was surprised when Alastor piped up as he stood slowly from his perch, steading himself on his staff. "They're just nervous Darling," he chirped, flashing his yellow teeth.

"I know it's a long shot," she confided, quietly.

"No, no no," Alastor said, shaking his head and smiling. He steadied himself and gave his cane a twirl. "After my talk with Old Lucy the other night I have a feeling he'll be very convincing." His eyes drifted to Katherine and his smile fell as she finally looked back. "I think we're all a bit nervous that it's all on us if they do decide in your favor. An actual shot at redemption is….a lot to mess up for people so prone to making mistakes."

Charlie bit her lip. She looked to Katherine who said nothing. The Angel and Deer Demon just stared wordlessly at each other.
