The large, perfectly trimmed field of the family mansion seemed dwarfed by the ebony jet that laid upon the ground. Its shimmering body gleamed with tech most companies would desire. The guards, wearing American-Grade riot gear, looked ahead without deviating by distractions of the surrounding wind or animals. The sheer amount of professionalism made Jack envious of Brief for a moment. He wanted respect and professionalism at his finger tips. He wanted these kind of contacts that he could rely on instead of having to beg for even a possibility of assistance that would not end in some form of back stabbing.

Though she stood silent, Wuya looked impressed at the sight as well. Through his conversation with Brief while they waited for his contacts to arrive, she sat at the kitchen table with curiosity lingering in her eyes. The life Brief summarized was an interesting one. Between his Ghost hunting, dealing with Angelic and Demonic forces, the political training, and the sheer amount of physical training his cousin did made Jack determined to spend time focusing more on his own training after this mission. He knew that when it came to flexibility, reaction time, and being able to tinker with electronics during the heat of the moment, very few could match him in those categories. But actual combat, strength tests, or even endurance to survive long combat?

The doors of the jet opened, revealing a beige stairwell with small slots along the inner railing. 'A hidden spike trap,' Jack noticed as two people stepped out of the jet. Their skin was dark red, immediately telling him that they were not human. They appeared to be women, one having green hair like flames and horns above where their ears would be and the other having spiked blue hair tied into a very long pony tail with a deadly horn at the edge of their hairline. Both women wore what seemed to be dark blue business casual attire. Standard long sleeves with white undershirt and a red tie to add focus to their clothes. Their short skirts, barely reaching their finger tips, made Jack blush with the view of their thighs and what he could see as they descended to their level.

The only difference between their attire was that the blue haired woman wore a long pair of white kneesocks, which brought more attention to her black heels than of her partner's own footwear.

'Just what kind of people did Brief get involved with?' The blue haired woman whipped out her phone, immediately pressing something with a nod.

"The funds have been wired sister," the blue haired woman began, "so we must act accordingly."

"So, dearest Briefers, you paid us quite a nice amount to have us meet at a nice mansion. Are you still thinking about that marriage proposal our fathers wanted to arrange hm?" The green haired woman eyed the building without even glancing over at him or Wuya. If Jack Spicer knew any two things in this world, it would be these two facts Fact one: Jack Spicer was a wallflower at heart and could easily blend into any background when needed. Fact two: Wuya DID NOT like to be dismissed as just a wallflower.

"Scanty, if I wanted you to bring you and dearest Kneesocks all this way just to have you both by my side, I would never bring my genius cousin or his Heylin mistress into the fold. I would have arranged a yacht or a trip around the world to compare every beautiful monument known to humanity and express how vastly superior you two are to it in every way."

"Quite flattering of you, but did you just say a Heylin mistress?" Kneesocks, the blue haired woman, spoke up. She stared right at Wuya with squinted eyes as if she was making sure Wuya was the real deal. "There is only one popularized Heylin Witch in all of known history with many, less than fruitful Heylin practitioners that never advance into Demon or the legendary Witch title."

"More like they never follow the ruuruus of the Heylin sister, becoming so corrupt in the magic of Heylin that they easily get killed by some goody goody or purified and revoked of ever contacting Heylin again by some other means. So weak-" A pair of guns immediately flicked into Scanty's hands, shooting a pair of bullets into the sudden balls of Heylin magic that Wuya sent at her. Jack expected Scanty to get angry. To scream and demand what the attack was about.

He did not expect for the green haired woman to simply twirl her right index finger in the air and say "That is rather ancient, but not quite strong." Wuya, as Jack expected, exploded in a blaze of green Heylin magic. Her arms became surrounded by the wicked magic. The very ground sapped of its vitality as if to fuel her anger. The sheer disrespect was going to make her violent and Jack was unsure as to what to do.

"I am Wuya, Heylin Witch, the Heylin Crow, who has been alive for over fifteen hundred years! I have seen humanity crawl out of the mud and made them worship me like a queen! I know magics that would make you suffer so terribly that the demons of Hell itself could not one up my tortures! I, wait, why are you two laughing!" It seemed that mentioning the word Demons made the two women laugh. A nice, cruel laugh that made Jack want to whimper like a dog about to get hit with a roll of paper.

"Lady, oh SORRY," Scanty sneered, "OH Great and Wicked Wuya, my sister and I are Demons, of the Daemon family to be exact, and you have been nothing but a satire for these last few years. I mean, lets look at the facts. You have only one follower-"

"Rich and influential as he might be." Kneesocks interrupted, giving a nod to him that he honestly appreciated.

"Yet no cult to worship you."

"No crimes or disasters done in your honor."

"Not a single murder to fuel your magics in the Registry of Hell."

"None who have wanted to take up your Heylin teachings to strengthen the Heylin of the world."

"Not a single ruuruu has been updated of Heylin teachings. Making it very outdated and otherwise seem worthless to those who practice new magics!"

"But most of all-"

"Yes, most of all-"

"YOU KEEP ON LOSING TO A GROUP OF TEENAGERS, A GECKO, AND AN OLD MAN WHO HARDLY LEAVES HIS HOME!"

"We are getting off topic everyone!" Jack stated with a clap of his hands. The two sisters looked at him with curiosity while Wuya focused her glare solely on him. As for Brief?

He was currently eating a snack of some kind. Watching everything unfold wondering what would happen next.

"Wuya, if you must know, has been playing the long game of getting the Xiaolin dorks to underestimate us and our tactics and strengths. This plan, which we have yet to discuss, is the first step in not only taking the side of good down a few pegs, but to either get rid of or to claim a few troublesome Shen Gong Wu for ourselves if this operation comes full circle."

"Jack what are you-"

"Did you really think that the Wuya, the greatest Heylin Witch of all time, would waste her time with letting weaklings practice her sacred Heylin teachings. To allow pathetic disciples to enact her bidding in her name? Wuya seeks only the best for her services, and would not waste Hell's time with updating some ruuruus, as you call them, when there is so much more to be done. So let me make this perfectly clear for you two..." Jack raised his left arm and waved his hand at Wuya's direction. Acting as if he was presenting her to the two Demons before them.

"You two are the ones being presented with the honor of helping Wuya and Heylin rise once more. So do take in the facts before insulting her a step further!"

"I believe that is enough fighting amongst ourselves children." Brief, now done with his snacks, flicked a talisman into the air. The act suddenly sucked in the excess Heylin magic into itself with an eerie glow before it fell back into his hands. After pocketing the item, Brief turned to the Daemon sisters and nodded. "As my cousin, heir of the Spicer Foundation stated, this IS a business operation we are trying to properly plan for. If working with a Heylin Witch, one unheard for so many centuries that I figured would be a treat for the most pristine of royal bloodlines in Hell, is not to your liking, then maybe I should find someone else to work with? You could keep the travel fee after all, but lord knows that I could bring, oh I don't know, the Angels here and..."

Brief trailed off, never finishing his statement with words. But to Jack, who was taught the same lesson Brief presented now, could see how his words brought the necessary reactions to reach his intended conclusion. The Daemon sisters, both seething with annoyance at the mention of Angels. Shame for ignoring the wealth of untold knowledge before them. The sheer disappointment for acting in the way they did in front of another heir of a wealthy company. All these things and more lined up the domino effect to make the two Demons realize the folly of their actions and, within seconds, come to the same conclusion that Brief wanted out of them.

"We are sorry for how ahead of ourselves we got in our excitement. Please forgive us!" Both sisters spoke in unison. Bowing together in synch so smoothly that the act itself must have been a trained response.

Damn was Brief good.

The plan was complete. Jack spent his time working on his available Jack-Bots before it was time to leave on the jet. He planned to have thirty standard model Gun-Bots for the barrage of bullets, ten Blade Jack-Bots for more offensive, physical combat, and thirty Jack-Bots to potentially be used to explode at various parts of the temple. The Xiaolin couldn't follow them, let alone go hunting for Shen Gong Wu if they had to rebuild the temple, salvage food, or tend to the injured now would they?

As Jack stood up from his work station and took a sip out of the drink Yes-Bot brought him, he realized that he needed to put his trench coat on and ensure it had the necessary gadgets to keep the Xiaolin on their toes. Smoke bombs, oil pellets, other things to distract and confuse so he could keep them off his back. As Jack went over to the wall to grab his coat, he realized that Wuya was standing next to it with a curious look on her face. She grabbed the coat and handed it to him.

"Thanks Wuya." Jack laid the coat on the table, gliding his fingers across the interior to check his standard hidden pouches. So far so good. "How long have you been there just watching me, you know, do me?"

"Oh, you know, a while Jack." Wuya was always silent with her feet and opening doors. It made him wonder if she could phase through solid materials at times. "Listen, Jack, about earlier..." Earlier?

"Oh right! Haha, yeah, sorry about getting so worked up like that. I know you can handle yourself being the Great Empress of Heylin. I know. I know. But I just could not allow them to talk to you like that! It was-"

"It was really nice of you to do that for me." Wuya complimented him. The fact that Wuya complemented him without an insult was shocking to him. Wuya never gave a compliment without some punch line or insult aimed at him. As he turned to look at her, he didn't realize that she was behind him and trailed a finger to his chin so his eyes met hers. "So it got me thinking. No matter the result of tonight's mission, I want to train you in the ways of Heylin."

"Wha-" She placed the finger from his chin on his lips. Not in the harsh, rough way to pinch them shut. No, she gently placed it on like one would to a child to keep a secret.

"You were right about several things Jack. I do not waste time with weaklings or pathetic, drool people who would waste my teachings. I, despite all of our time and adventures together, have yet to really teach you a single thing about the ways of Heylin. I find you worthy, Jack Spicer, and I do not plan on letting you go." She dropped her finger from his lips and began to walk away. The giddy joy that erupted out of him made Jack want to shout in joy and jump like a child. He really wanted to let the world know how he felt right now. After seeing his cousin Brief and the way both he and the Daemon sisters conducted themselves, Jack decided to keep calm and took a breath.

"I will not let you down Wuya. Thank you for the privilege of learning under you." Wuya turned back to him and smirked.

"Who knows Jack. You might even be my equal in more ways than one." With a wink she left the room. His brain became stimulated at the prospect of earning her respect to such a high degree and did the only thing he could think of.

He grabbed his trench coat and let out a muffled scream of excitement.

Hello Readers! I have been in the works of making certain stories get some fresh life pumped into them before working on some heavy hitters. This story just so happens to be in the top six of short stories to be updated. I plan for this to be a shorter story, but part of a much bigger series that is meant to be both comical but enjoyable. As for which stories I plan on updating soon, they are as followed:

When Two Angels of a Different Breed Meet, Visiting the Family: Brief's Showdown, To Try Something On My Own, The Lessons From A Card Game, Finding Out the Truth, and The Cursed Duelist.

As I have been seeing from other authors lately, I might take some of my older stories and compile them into a single compilation for projects that, while I still hold interest in, might want to just remove and be done with. Most of these probably would not be missed, but you would be surprised how often I would get a message asking what happened to X story or to Y.

Aside from that, I cannot wait to get the next few chapters of this story up on the site for everyone to enjoy. I've been brewing a storm of ideas for the VTF series that I am excited to type for the world! Until next time readers, stay golden!
