Chita: December 6 15:51pm

Kiana arrived in Chita no longer than ten minutes ago. It had taken her five days to travel by foot, something she preferred to do over taking the public transport. She felt the exercise was always a good considering the luggage she carried with her.

At the current moment the Kaslana was making her way towards a temporary destination before she made her way to 's orphanage. It was a stop she made every time she came to Chita. During her second visit on the second year of her interchanging travels she came across a man, or rather he approached her, claiming to have seen what she did in Chita. Introducing himself as Phil, he claimed to be work for an organization named AE, but didn't elaborate further, Kiana turned down his offer to join said organisation, she was only interested in joining Schicksal as of right now.

Phil then proposed another idea, claiming they would pay Kiana for every Honkai beast core that she managed to bring to him ,the price would vary with the type of Honkai core she brought, a very strange offer that Kiana still found suspicious. And the amount was no laughing matter either, it was basically how she bought the three months worth of food and equipment she would need while in Ulan-Ude while still being left with more than half the money. None the less she agreed, after all she needed the money, living off an orphanage was something that had always left a bad taste in her mouth from the beginning.

And so that was her routine, over time the stronger Kiana got the more high tier beast cores she collected, allowing her to make a lot more than she did when she first started out.

And so she entered Phil's toy shop not too long after her arrival, dragging a slightly large pull along wagon that had numerous bags inside, each containing various types of Honkai cores. Entering the shop she saw a slightly elderly woman sitting by the counter of the shop.

"Afternoon ." Kiana greeted with a smile as she approached the woman. The woman turned her attention towards the Kaslana and her eyes widened slightly in surprise.

"Oh Kiana dear, welcome back." said as she moved around the counter and met Kiana half way, embracing the young Kaslana in a hug. "I wasn't expecting you for a few more days at most, but it's always good to see you again deary."

"I always come back early December and you know it ." Kiana said as she pulled away from the hug.

"Yes, have already been by the orphanage?" asked curiously, she could see that Kiana still had a her luggage, aside from the ones in the wagon.

"No, not yet, I was hoping to see Phil before I went down there. Is he here?" Kiana asked, she was also excited to be back, and also wanted to see Kasumi and everyone else as soon as possible.

"Of course, he's in the back room as usual, go right ahead deary. You wouldn't want to keep Kasumi waiting." joked with a chuckle as she got out of the way to allow Kiana access to the back door of the shop.

"No, I wouldn't, she's not exactly the most patient person out there. Thank you ." Kiana said as she walked passed the lady and made her way through the back door. She walked along a corridor before reaching a door labelled 'Phil' and knocking three times.

"Who is it?" the soft voice of Phil called from the other side of the door.

"Your 'dear' client." Kiana said with a hint of amusement in her voice. She heard fill respond with a chuckle of his own, she then heard the shuffling of furniture before the door opened, revealing a brown haired man in his late twenties, with emerald green eyes and a slightly tanned complexion.

"Welcome back my dear client, I hope you had a fruitful harvest." Phil asked with a sly smirk as he gave way to Kiana to enter with her belongings.

"Fruitful for who, you or me?" Kiana asked in return with a teasing smile of her own.

"Dear customer, your words wound me. You know I always look out for my customers best interests." Phil said dramatically with mock hurt as he placed his left hand to his chest and his right hand on his forehead.

"Shut up you drama queen, maybe you should have taken acting as a profession instead." Kiana joked as Phil closed the door behind them.

"Oh I did considered it. But my current line of work is very well paying." Phil said his expression not betraying the amusement in his tone.

"Considering how much you're paying me for these then I can imagine, I can imagine how much you're getting paid." Kiana said as she gestured to the bags filled with various Honkai cores.

"Well you're being quite profitable yourself Kiana, I count at least fifteen bags here." Phil said looking at the numerous bags in the Wagon.

"Eighteen actually." Kiana said with a small hint of pride in her voice, "Would have been two or three more bags if some of the cores weren't damaged." Kiana then added.

"Well such mistakes cannot be avoided when fighting for your life on a daily basis. But you are improving, this is two more bags than the last time you visited." Phil said as sat on the edge of his desk.

"Yeah, I do feel like I got stronger every time I visit, but I also feel like I have ways to go." Kiana said with slight frustration, she knew she was capable of holding her own but what troubled her more was if she was capable of protecting those she cared about. If she'd be able to live up to the promise she made to her father.

"Maybe what you're missing is the right gear." Phil suggested upon seeing the look of frustration on Kiana's face. The girl was strong, of that there was no doubt, she just lacked any form of formal training along with the necessary equipment to become the effective fighter she was.

Now Phil knew that he could have provided her with said gear if he wanted, it was just a matter of getting confirmation from his superiors, but he wanted to see how far the girl could go on her own.

...besides she already had a gift that would do the job being presented to her tomorrow.

"Maybe, anyways I just came to drop these off so you can count and calculate the amount I earned. I haven't seen Kasumi and everyone at the orphanage just yet, I'll come by around noon tomorrow and collect the money then." Kiana said as she stood up.

"That's fine with me Kiana, always a pleasure doing business with you." Phil said as he made his way to the door and opened it for Kiana.

"Thank you Phil, see you tomorrow!" Kiana shouted as she ran out of the office.

With everything being said and done she was now free to go to 's orphanage. Of course she couldn't go there empty handed either, the kids would whine about how she didn't bring them any gifts or toys this time around. Sometimes she thought that she spoiled them too much, but the smiles on their faces were worth it in the end. She still had quite a large sum of money in her savings account that was left over the past years, so she could use some to do a bit of shopping.

Unfortunately it was almost 5pm now, that meant most shops would be closed down for the day, the best she would be able to do was grab some groceries for the orphanage itself, she could worry about gifts and presents another day. So Kiana went on to do just that, it didn't take her long to shop for the groceries and then head to the orphanage. The Ryuuki Orphanage was a red brick wall building that was longer in length and than width and three stories in height. It had a total of twenty two rooms in total. The left wing of the first floor was occupied with the lounge, study and two bathrooms, and the right wing was occupied with the cafeteria and dinning room where everyone ate their meals together. The left wing of the second floor was occupied with five bedrooms and the girls bathroom, officially making it the girls side, and the right wing was the same with five rooms for the boys and a bathroom for them. The left wing of the third floor had four bedrooms and a bathroom, with the right wing having the same amount.

Upon reaching the front door, Kiana rang the door bell and patiently waited for it to be answered...and apparently she didn't have to wait long too, as the sounds of running footsteps rapidly approaching the door could be heard from the other side. The Kaslana already knew who it was before the door even opened.

"Kiana!" The door was rapidly opened and before Kiana could get a good look at the girl who screamed her name, her vision went black as she was tackled into a hug. She managed to shift her foot back in time not to fall backwards, and saving the bags of groceries she was holding from falling to the ground.

"Kasumi, be careful you're going to make her fall, dear Lord." a elderly feminine voice said from behind the door.

"It's fine , and it's good to see you, both of you." Kiana said sincerely as she returned Kasumi's hug and gave a smile towards her mother.

was a woman who seemed to be in her mid-thirties going late, had pitch black hair and bright yellow eyes that stood out and had a slightly pale complexion.

"What took you so long to get here, you almost missed your birthday tomorrow?!" Kasumi shouted with as she pulled back from the hug allowing Kiana to get a better look at her.

Kasumi resembled her mother in a lot, and the similarities kept growing every time Kiana saw her. She had pitch black hair, but unlike her mother had ember orange eyes that she said she inherited from her deceased father. She also shared the same complexion with her mother. Kasumi was a year younger than Kiana, and reached up to the Kaslana's eyes in height.

"Sorry, I got a bit side tracked, plus I had a bit more luggage on me this time around." Kiana lamely justified herself, both Kasumi and sweatdropped at her excuse. Even she knew that was not a valid excuse.

"Well it doesn't matter, you're here now, and just in time too. I had just finished making dinner. Fortunately for you, I prepared enough in advance." said as she opened the door for the girls to enter.

"Well I brought groceries to make up for being a bit late." Kiana said as she raised the bags she had in her hands.

"And how many times have I told you not to by those whenever your birthday is coming. You're the one who's meant to be receiving gifts." said in mock anger.

"Well this place is home, and the everyone is like family. If I don't pitch in to help who will?" Kiana asked with an indifferent shrug, this was a conversation the two always had every time Kiana came over. But the Kaslana was determined to do what she could to support the orphanage, just like they had done for her

"Come on, let's go in there's so much I want to tell you about what's been going on." Kasumi said as she dragged Kiana in to the house, taking the bag of groceries from her as they entered.

Meanwhile on an Island in the Far East, a small twelve year old looking girl was seated by her desk going through some documents and files that had piled up on her desk. She was the Principal of the Far East Schicksal base known as , which also served as a high school to all girls with honkai adaptability and had suffered as a result of the honkai. Despite her young appearance, said principal was actually more than forty years old and was one of three known S-rank valkyrie. She wore a a black and white maiden uniform with the Schicksal emblem split into two towards the bottom, and on her chest was the family emblem of the House of Apocalypse. Said Headmaster of was interrupted from her work when the door to her office was suddenly slammed open, revealing the woman on the other side to be none other to Mutarama Himeko.

Himeko was a red headed woman with bright ember red colored eyes and had a slightly tanned complexion. She had a well curved figure with some very heavy "assets", that she often showed of or used to tease Theresa. She was one of the teachers of and a close friend to Theresa personally as the two of them had known each other for many years now.

"Damn'it Himeko, that door isn't going to fix itself if you break it you know!" Theresa shouted as she stood up on her chair, an action that Himeko would have teased her for if she wasn't hear for something a lot more serious.

"Sorry but I got something that you need to see right now." Himeko said as she approached Theresa's desk and held out a flash drive to the principal.

"This better be important." Theresa said as she took the flash drive and plugged it into her computer, she didn't doubt that Himeko was telling the truth, the seriousness of her expression and tone when she entered the office was more than enough to let Theresa know that whatever she was about to see was important. Opening the hard drives contents Kiana was surprised at what she saw, these were honkai radiation satellite images, used to monitor honkai activity worldwide in the event of a minor eruption or an actual Impact.

"This is impossible..."

"Apparently not, I didn't believe it either when it was first shown to me. Honkai beasts have never moved in a single group like that. According to the reading here, there was a honkai spike in Ulan-Ude approximately 53 hours ago, readings then showed the large amount of energy leaving the city leaving the city and beginning to move North East." Himeko reported, given the fact that Siberia was the sight of the second eruption, it was not surprising to here of there being a few spikes in Honkai every month or so, but the FAr East Branch had always managed to take care of that as they were just minor threats.

"Honkai beasts still roam around the Siberian planes so it not the 'how they are there part' that confuses me, but rather 'why all the beasts in Ulan-Ude left the city?', and to make the matters worse they are all going in the same direction." Theresa said as she tried to make sense of what she was seeing. It was unusual for such a large number of Honkai beasts to travel together in one unit.

"The only guess I have is that they are being drawn in that direction, but by what I don't know. Satellites weren't able to pick up any other honkai energy source in the direction they are heading." Himeko said diligently.

"Are there any forms of civilisation in their current paths." Theresa asked, if these honkai beasts were searching for something or being drawn towards something then everything that stood i their paths would be destroyed.

"A minor city called Chita, with a population of up to four hundred thousand. At the rate the beasts are travelling they should be approaching the city by tomorrow evening." Himiko said grimly, the situation was not looking good.

"How long would it take for the Hyperion to get there?" Theresa asked seriously, she wasn't going to let three hundred thousand people die while she stood by and did nothing to help, that just wasn't her.

"I thought you would ask that, ran the calculations and if we leave now we can make it there approximately four hours before the horde makes it to the city. Should be enough time to initiate evacuation or safety protocols of the city." Himeko said grimly.

"Alright then, get the Hyperion prepped to leave, I'll go get the girls and we'll fill them in on the way." Theresa said, as she got down from her chair and walked out the office with Himeko, the two then split off and went to do their respective tasks.

They had to act quickly if they wanted to get to Chita on time and save all it's citizens. Such activity was rather unusual for Honkai beasts, and if they could find the cause of what was drawing them towards the city, but they had to act immediately.

The next day came rather quickly, Kiana woke up at 4am sharp as she always did. The constant need to be alert while in Ulan-Ude had ruined her sleep cycle permanently, she could barely sleep for more than four to five hours a day, meaning she would usually fall sleep by midnight and wake up by 4am at the latest. At first it was hard, the lack of sleep had been very disorienting on her ability to train and fight but after a few weeks it became bearable and after a few months it became as nomal to her as it was for those who slept for eight hours.

While in Chita she counldn't train as often as she did while in Ulan-Ude, but she would usally do so late at night, when everyone was asleep, up until midnight and early in the morning when she woke up while evryone was asleep. Today was no different, the Kaslana woke up and went to a nearby gym that she had made reservations for during her visits. She did various exercises and work outs until about 8am where she retuened to the orphanage. Kasumi had been upset with Kiana for leaving the house so early when it was her birthday, but the Kaslana managed to calm her down.

Everyone within the orphanage wished Kiana had wished Kiana happy birthday, leaving her to be rather bashful and embarrassed as she was not used to recieving this kind of attention on her regular basis, but such was the life of one who lived in solitude. After eating breakfast, asked Kiana and Kasumi to head out for the day and just enjoy themselves, everyone else had something special planned for kiana when she came back. Although reluctant at first Kiana eventually agreed and the two of them left just before noon.

"So where are we going?" Kiana asked as she walked along the busy streets of Chita with Kasumi to her right. The black haired girl seemed to be a bit nervous, but shook it off at Kiana's question.

"I was actually hoping that we could talk...but that can wait for now, there's actually something I wanted to get from Phil today." Kasumi said causing Kiana's right eyebrow rose up questioningly. Kasumi had met Phil a few times whenever Kiana went to deliver her package or collect the money that he owed her.

"Uh sure, but what do you need from him." Kiana asked with her left eyebrow raised, Kasumi was familiar with Phil due to the fact that she sometimes came with the Kaslana whenever she was delivering her Honkai fragments/cores or when she was collecting the money for said items.

"Sorry, but that's a surprise." Kasumi said as she turned to the Kaslana with a wink causing Kiana to groan in slight frustration, her reaction causing Kaumi to giggle.

It didn't take long for the two of them to make it to 's shop. The two grated the elderly lady before making their way to the back entrance towards Phil's office. Kiana knocked on the door, and a few seconds Phil opened the door with his usual smile.

"I was expecting the both of you to come today." Phil said calmly as he opened the door for both adolescents to enter, which they did.

"Both of us?" Kiana asked, now she was more curious as to what it was Kasumi wanted to see Phil for. Kasumi sent Phil a minor glare, earning a chuckle from the man.

"I'm afraid I can't say any more than that , lest Kasumi get angry at me." Phil said as he closed the door and

"Right..." Kiana trailed as her eyes travelled between both Kasumi and Phil, "Anyways was the transfer completed?" Kiana asked, two years she had managed to open a saving account that she used to store all the money she earned from her trade deals with Phil, she already had quite a large amount saved up that would make most people consider her rich.

"Yes, it took some time but I was able to count the total value of fragments and cores you brought yesterday."

"And..."

"You'll be happy to know that you made a total of 920000 RUB (12100 USD). A major increase to the 800000 RUB you made during your last visit." Phil said as he handed the financial documents of the tranfer to Kiana, who ran through the figures and confirmed everything Phil had said.

She was happy. This showed that she was making great strides with training. She had defeated a lot more Honkai beasts and zombies over the past few months than the last time she had visited.

"I don't think I'll ever get tired of hearing how much money you make from all of this." Kasumi said with the small shake of her head.

Kasumi was the only one in the orphanage who knew about Kiana fighting the Honkai in Ulan-Ude, and how she earned her income. Kiana had wanted to tell , but the woman was like a mother figure to her, and she didn't worry her with the whether she would make it back or not. So in the end Kasumi promised to keep the secret to herself.

Besides, Kiana already did so much to help around the orphanage. The children there never went hungry as she always left more than enough money for to support and maintain the orphanage.

"Such an improvement can only mean that her training is going well." Phil responded with a nod.

"She's making more money in three months than most people in half a year!" Kasumi nearly shouted, despite already knowing this, it didn't remove the shock.

"Think of it this way Kasumi, the more money I make the more I can help out around the orphanage. Maybe even get an expansion with a few additional rooms." Kiana said as she entered the conversation. Truth be told she had no idea how to spend all the money she had in her savings.

Other than buying supplies when she left for Ulan-Ude and helping with the orphanage, she had no real use for the large sums of money in her savings.

"If mom let's you, you've been doing more than enough for everyone at the orphanage and she wouldn't want you to feel obligated in anyway." Kasumi responded with a childish pout.

"Don't worry, I will talk to her about it." Kiana said as she shook her head sideways at Kasumi's childish tendencies.

"Phil, did you manage to get the...you know..." Kasumi said as suggestively as she swung her right arm around whilst eyeing the trade dealer.

"Aaahh yes, just give me a moment." Phil said as he went behind his desk and from underneath it pulled out a very long brief case.

"What's in there?" Kiana asked as she stepped towards the desk. Her curiosity was further peaked by the fact that she could sense some Honkai energy coming from the case, but a very miniscule amount.

"I told you already it's a surprise, you'll just have to wait until later to open it." Kasumi said with a teasing smirk.

"I'm sure Kiana will be grateful for the gift, after all the trouble you went through to make me get it.." Phil said with a smile. Kiana just sighed in resignation, whatever was in the case had to have cost her dearly, especially if she came to Phil of all people just to do so.

"All right fine, is that everything then?" Kiana asked, as much as she enjoyed visiting and chatting with Phil, she wanted to go out. No one liked spending their birthday in an office.

"Yes I believe you both have what you came for...that is unless there's something else you need." Phil said, to which Kasumi shook her head sideways.

"Nope looks like we're all set, so we better get going. Well see you around Phil!" Kiana said as she and Kasumi began to make their way out of the dealers office.

"Well it's always a pleasure to see you girls. Oh, and Kiana..." the dealer trailed gaining the attention of the young Kaslana .

"Yes?" She responded, Phil reached into the pocket of his jacket, and pulled out a small white box tied with a black ribbon.

"Happy birthday, I would prefer you open my gift when you're alone." Phil said with emphasis on the last word as he sent a glance towards Kasumi.

That just made Kiana all the more curious now, but she nodded her head in understanding before smiling at him.

"Thanks, and don't worry I will." Kiana said to which Phil responded with a nod before closing the door once the two teens were out.

4 hours later - 14:27

The two of them spent most of the day going all over town having fun and the like. The activities they engaged in included going to an arcade, a bit of shopping, getting some ice-cream and the like. It was a great day in Kiana's opinion.

As it stood the two of them were at the park under the shade of an oak tree. Kiana's back was rested against the trunk of the tree while Kasumi was lying on the ground with her head rested on Kiana's lap.

"Hey Kiana, do you mind if I ask you something." Kasumi said, and Kiana was able to pick out a sense of nervousness in her tone, something that was out of character for Kasumi.

"Sure, what's on your mind?" Kiana asked, taking in the peace that she would rarely get while in Ulan-Ude.

"Have you ever thought about spending more time here, than in Ulan-Ude." Kasumi asked, Kiana could hear the slight hesitation in her voice as she spoke.

"If I'm being honest...no. I guess I've just been so focused on my training." Kiana responded, she wasn't going to lie.

"Oh..." Kasumi said slightly dejected,"...but would you consider it?" the raven haired girl asked timidly.

Kiana took a moment to answer that question. Thinking it through and the possible outcome of this conversation. She decided to answer the question with another question as she looked down at her sister in all but blood.

"What brought this on all of a sudden?" Kiana asked curiously. It was obvious that this was something that Kasumi had been thinking about for a while now.

"Well, it's just that sometimes Mother and I worry when you're gone. Every time you leave for Ulan-Ude we have no way of reaching you or communicating, and...that honestly reminds me of the time I lost my farther." Kasumi said as she turned to face Kiana's feet.

She honestly didn't want to bring this up today of all days, it was Kiana's birthday after all. But at the same time it was something that had been bothering her for a while now and she felt it would be best to just get it of her chest.

Kiana's eyes widened slightly at Kasumi's words, and she stopped caressing the younger girls' hair. Kasumi rarely, if ever, spoke about her father. It was a touchy subject for both her and . Apparently he was a man in the Russian army. He died about four years ago, when Kasumi was ten, they didn't receive the body nor were they told how he died. Just a letter of condolences and a decent some of money as pension every month.

Kiana never questioned it though was none of her business. Not to mention she had her own issues with her father regarding how he abandoned her, the old man didn't even tell her much about her mother other than the fact that she was a strong Schicksal valkyrie.

Anyway, according to , Kasumi hadn't truly moved on from her father's passing, that wasn't until Kiana came into the picture though. The younger girl apparently viewed Kiana as a big sister of sorts, the Kaslana had no idea how that though even came to be. Regardless she never told Kasumi about the talk with her mother and it allowed for her to sort out her own feelings regarding the Ryuuki family.

"You almost never talk about your father….." Kiana said as she sat up straight, prompting Kasumi to lift her body and sit as well while facing Kiana.

"That's because I'm serious, my mother and I are the only ones who know what you really do we you leave town. And during that time we can't even call to check up on you or even make sure you're okay. It's easy to get worried in situations like that." Kasumi stated, as she turned to the side. She didn't want to seem petty but this was something that she has wanted to bring to the Kaslana for almost a year now. This just so happened to be the perfect opportunity considering that Kiana didn't get much time to herself considering how much she helped around the orphanage.

"But why are you bringing this up now, it sounds like something that both you and have been worried about for a while now?" Kiana asked, if this as something that had been bothering them for so long then why did they wait this long to talk to her about it. Surely she would have done something about this sooner. But she was also to blame in that regard, she had noticed a few time when she left town the concerned gazes that she would receive from Kasumi and , but had always brushed it off as small concerns, she had no idea that they actually ran this deep.

"To be honest, we just didn't want to stop you from achieving your own goals. You always tell us how important the training that you do is if you're going to become a valkyrie one day. We just didn't want to be the ones stopping you from growing." Kasumi said with a frown, not wanting to look the Kaslana in the eye right now.

"You should have told me regardless, I would have found a way to compromise." Kiana said sternly, causing Kasumi to flinch slightly.

Kiana wasn't angry with her, far from it, but was instead worried about how Kasumi and had dealt with those concerns during the period that she was away. She took a deep breath and sighed as she thought things over. Communication was something that was out of the question, Ulan-Ude was a city laid to waste by the honkai and thus there were almost zero cell networks, and letters or mail most likely wouldn't reach due to the honkai beasts that were always lurking around the city. Kiana could travel to nearby towns and make calls but that would be a waste of time in all honesty. Her only other, reasonable, option was to reduce the amount of time she spent in Ulan-Ude and increase the time spent in Chita, in all honesty it was the first time she had thought of this but she just pushed the thought away most of the time. Now though she had a reason to follow through with it.

"Look, I don't think there's much I can do in terms of communicating while I'm away, anything I can think of involves too much travelling between towns and cities. And that will just be too time consuming on my part." Kiana said wit a sigh as she turned towards Kasumi who now sported a sombre expression on her face.

"No its fine, I should have thought of that. You always tell us how the city has been reduced to ruins and everything." Kasumi said disappointedly, she really hoped that there would've been a way for Kiana to get in touch with them once i a while. The black haired girl didn't notice the Kaslana's expression morph into a grin.

"That being said, I could spend less time in Ulan-Ude all together." Kiana stated, ad immediately Kasumi's head shot up with a hopeful expression planted on her face.

"You mean..."

"Yeah, I would have to double my training and all, but I think I could evenly split the amount of time I spend between here and Ulan-Ude. Probably make two months her and the same there, rather than a month here then the other three there." Kiana responded as her grin got wider at seeing Kasumi's own expression getting brighter and bright. Unable to contain her excitement for much longer Kasumi jumped onto Kiana and gave her the tightest hug she could, which wasn't much for Kiana by the way, as she continually muttered the words 'Thank you' over and over again for at least a full minute before finally letting go. "I know its not the 'keep in touch' idea that you had but I hope that it makes up for that." Kiana went on to add as she returned the hug.

"More than enough, you're for twice as much time as usual! I'm sure everyone will excited once I tell them about this!" Kasumi exclaimed as she pulled back, she was nothing but a mess of giddiness right now. In her excitement Kasumi remembered something else that she wanted to do after having this talk with Kiana, "Oh yeah, while we're at it I might as well give you your birthday present now!" Kasumi declared excitedly as she reached for the unusually long brief case beside her and swiftly passing onto the surprised Kaslana.

"Aren't I supposed to open this when we are celebrating with everyone else?" Kiana asked with slight confusion as she took the case into her arms and placed it on the ground she was kneeling in front off.

"Normally yes, but I don't think this is the type of present that you can open in front of most people." Kasumi said with an excited glint in her eyes, as she knew this was something that Kiana would most definitely love, the response caused Kiana to raise an eyebrow before she thought things over.

Phil had been the one to provide the gift to Kasumi granted that she paid for it and probably had to do a few favours as well. Not to mention there was also the fact that she could sense the faintest levels of honkai energy coming from within the case, which only served to make the Kaslana more curious. She looked back to Kasumi, who was rapidly nodding her head like an excited child before unclipping the case and slowly opening the top half, and what she saw literally caused her mouth to go dry and her eyes to almost fall out of their sockets.

Within the case lay a blade, a two handed sword to be precise, its colour mainly black with multiple trails of crimson going along various paths. It seemed to be more high tech than the average blade, and Kiana could feel the honkai energy coursing through it especially by what she assumed to be the core of the blade close to the hilt. She didn't utter a word as she allowed her right hand to slide across the surface of the blade, admiring its response to her touch as the red streaks began to glow slightly and it began to emit a minuscule amount of heat.

All in all, the Kaslana was in awe. This was a solium weapon, something her father had only told her about on few occasions when he tried to explain what the Judgment of Shamash was. It became clear to her why Kasumi had gone to Phil specifically, and she felt like an idiot for not thinking of asking him herself. But she welcomed the surprise altogether.

"I figured since mom and I couldn't keep wouldn't be able to keep in touch, we could help out this way at the very least. It cost most of our own personal savings, not to mention I still owe Phil a dozen or so favours, but I think it was worth it. I figured it would be better than bashing beasts with a baseball bat. So...do you like it?" Kasumi asked hopefully.

Did she like it? That was such a stupid question to ask. All the Kaslana wanted to do right now was take the blade out and give it a few swings, but give that she was in such a public area she decided to hold of those urges, not to mention she still had a party to celebrate with everyone else at the orphanage, the time was fast approaching.

"Like it?" Kiana questioned the girl as she quickly wiped her eyes, to stop the tears that threatened to flow from her eyes, "I Love it!" Kiana shouted in joy as she pulled Kasumi in for another hug, as it was nt her turn to give off a series of thank you and gratitude.

"Thank god, for a second I thought you would have preferred a smaller blade or something of the sort, but Phil said you would apreciate something like this more." Kasumi said with a sigh of relief.

"Does the blade have a name?" Kiana asked curiously as she turned toit once more.

"Yeah, Phil said it was called 'Labour of Olympus' and that it was one of a kind as far as he was concerned. Anything else should be on the manual in the case." Kasumi explained as she smiled at the excited glint in her surrogate sisters eyes.

"Part of me really wants to take it out and give it a test drive, but given that we're in a public area it might not be such a good idea." Kiana groaned with disappointment.

"Its probably better that way, knowing you, you could take hours trying it out. Unfortunately we don't have that kind of time. We better head back if we want to make it in time for the party, and I for one don't want to be the one responsible for not bringing the birthday girl." Kasumi said as she stood up and began dusting herself, this prompted Kiana to close the case with a sigh and also stand.

And thus the two ofthem began to make their way back home, unaware of the storm that was brewing, and the danger that was fast approaching.

Hyperion Battleship – 6:15pm

On the Bridge of the battleship Theresa sat monitoring most activities, they were just about to fly over the horde of beasts that were fast approaching the city of Chita, an hour or two at most was how muc tme they had to evacuate as many citizens as possible. Fourtunately for tham, thanks to a silver haired hacker they were able to find out that Chita had a decent number of bunkers spread out through the city.

The plan was actually very simple, Theresa wouble be dropping off now as the Hyperion flew over the horde of beasts, and engage them. The mai purpose was to stall for the time it took to initiate the evacuation procedures, and in the process she would take down as many high class beasts as possible to lessen the burden on everyone else involved.

"Madam Theresa, drop of zone is approaching in fifteen minutes!" One of the Navigators reported attentively.

"What are the current levels of honkai radiation from the horde." Theresa asked, an important question if on was about to singlehandedly face said horde.

"They are 361HW and rising ma'am!" The navigator responded, causing Theresa grimace slightly.

A 100HW meant that it was a minor spike in honkai energy, very common in various paces worldwide. 200 HW was more commonly known as a pulse, this would normally occur in wildlife and uninhabited areas. 400HW was problematic, as it allowed for honkai beasts to between the imaginary space and the real space, such levels if not dealt with could raise to a much higher scale. 700HW are normally the results of a honkai eruption, this is a full blown incursion and the barriers between the realities are thinning out. 1000+ HW is a Honkai impact, this means there is most likely a herrscher on the scene.

The current readings showed that the number of beasts was growing at a slow but steady rate, should the beasts reach the city of Chita there was no telling how many people would be infected and how the scale would rise after. There were probably a few more emperor class beasts than she originally thought too.

"Alright, keep course, I'll be heading out now." Theresa said a she entered the elevator before it descended. Walking swiftly so as to not miss her drop she quickly made it to the lounge where he squad she had for this mission was currently gathered, the doors parted automatically allowing her to enter without missing a step, also catching the attention of those occupying the lounge.

"Hey Teri, I take it we're about to pass the drop off zone." Himeko asked in a relaxed postured as she was lying down on a couch. She looked a tad bit too comfortable granted the situation that they were in, too bad she didn't know her break was about to be cut short.

"Yeah, everyone listen up." Theresa said sternly, with an unusually authoritative voice that caused the three teens and adult to turn towards the principal with their full attention, "There's been a change of plans. The horde of beasts is growing in size faster tha we anticipated, with the density of Honkai energy nearing four hundred. So instead of dropping off on my own I'll be taking Himeko with me. The rest of you will proceed as planned and ensure the citizens of Chita are safely evacuated into their bunkers." Theresa declared.

"Wait what? Are you sure it's a good idea to have the brats hold the fort on their own, I mean I get Fu Hua but Mei and Bronya aren't as experienced yet." Himeko said with a slight frown at the thought of sending these kids on their own.

"Believe me I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't see it as necessary, w will have to take most of the workload by dealing with the emperor class beasts, but the reason I need you to come with me is because I fear they might be a judgment class beast among the horde." Theresa said as she could understand Himeko's concerns, she lived with Mei and Bronya and thus had a much deeper connection with them than most students at .

"We'll be fine major. You have to keep your mind on the task at hand, I'll watch these two." FU Hua spoke, her voice while firm had a sense of reassurance within.

Fu Hua was a girl that was appeared to be around sixteen years of age, she had navy blue hair with the eyes to match. She wore her standard class uniform which consisted of a blue attire that consisted of a long sleeve button-up shirt and trousers (FYI I am terrible at describing clothing). She was the Class monitor of 's second year students.

"Da, the Bronya has run the calculations. Chances of success are 73%." Bronya spoke in her usual monotone voice, her face not revealing any emotion.

Bronya was the youngest out of the entire squad, being the age of fourteen, two years younger than the other teens in the team. She was about the same height as Theresa and had silver hair that formed into the shape of a whirl wind on both sides of her head. Not much was know about her background, even to Theresa and Himeko, other than the fact that she had relations in anti-entropy.

"Alright fine, I still don't like this but I guess we have limited options." Himeko resigned, seeing as there was no other way around this.

"Great, then we better get going, drop of point is approaching in five minutes." Theresa said as she took a look at the time. Himeko nodded her head and began to walk out wit Theresa, but once she reached the door she turned back to the teens once more.

"You brats better make it back in one piece." The redhead said, to which they all responded with a nod, Mei and Fu Hua having slight smiles on their faces.

"Don't worry major, we'll be careful." Mei responded. With that being said the Ace of the Far East Branch left the lounge.

2hrs 30min later - 8.41pm – Chita

Bronya over the walls of the city of Chita, they had arrived one and a half hours ago, Mei and Fu Hua had gone to ensure that evacuation procedures had began while she stood guard n the east side of Chita's walls, as that's were the horde of honkai beasts were expected to approach from. She was currently monitoring all levels of honkai activity within a thirty mile radius using the HUD holographic screen in front of her, while holding a Homu doll close to her chest with her left hand.

After nearly two hours of Inactivity an alert appeared on the screen as honkai levels were rising and rapidly approaching the city. Honkai levels indicated were currently 173HW, nearly half the radiation that was shown when the horde left the city of Ulan-Ude. That meant that Himeko and Theresa had managed to cut down the forces by more than half, unless there were more honkai beasts approaching after this smaller group.

As the pink glow of honkai energy came into Bronya's sight she manifested a giant robot hovering behind her. The robot was shaped like the upper half of a humans body, with a decent sized cannon as its right arm, while its left arm had a shield that went along the backhand up until its elbow joints. Enhancing her vision using scopes from her HUD she was able to count a total of 38 of various kinds' honkai beasts rapidly approaching the city, with almost half of them being at cassiel level.

"Charging weapon 19C to full capacity, firing in 'T' minus two minutes." Bronya muttered as she took aim at the beast that were still rapidly approaching. At the speed they were approaching they would most likely be entering the city within the next ten minutes. The mouth of the cannon began to emit a glow that grew brighter and brighter as the cannon charged up. After two minutes of watching the beasts approaching the city without any sign of slowing down.

"19C is 100% Charged...Fire." And with that last word alone, A large beam of energy was fired towards the rapidly and unexpecting beasts, lighting up the night sky in what could only be described as a bright line when seen from a distance.

Upon striking the target, the night was lit with a brighter light that stretched into the city as a ground shaking explosion was set off. The explosion grew in size taking the shape of a dome as it consumed a good lot of the beasts that had been around the point of fire, before settling down after a few seconds, night becoming dark once more. Bronya was quick to take a look at the damage that had been done, and while the results could have been better she didn't complain. After all, given the range she was firing from, she couldn't maximise the full effect of the shot, and the beasts had ample time to react in one way or another.

"Bronya what was that explosion?" Fu Hua's voice suddenly came from the silver haired girls earpiece, she was quick to respond.

"Honkai beasts are rapid approaching the city, the Bronya fired a long ranged attack to neutralize a sizeable amount of them." The girl reported, she had a habit of referring to herself in third person.

"I see...how many were neutralized and are remaining? Andhow long until they get to the city?" Fu Hua asked once more.

"Twenty targets neutralized, 6 targets injured and twelve unharmed. Targets will arrive in six minutes. Bronya's cannon will be on cooldown for four minutes." Bronya reported making surethe situation was clear to the class monitor, she was the onei charge of this mission as of right now. However what Fu Hua didn't need to know was the fact that twelve of the beasts that had been eliminated by her blast were merely cassiel level beasts, at the very least that meant they didn't have to deal with those.

"Good work Bronya, hold your position and if you get the opportunity to fire once more then do it. Mei and I are on our way and should be there in five minutes at the least.

"Da." Bronya responded, she watched as they beasts began to once more gather their bearings before charging once more towards the city.

This night had only just begun, and would forever change the life of one silver haired girl who was unknowingly at the centre of it all
