"Oh my god, they said YES!" An excited Jazz screamed as she ran to the kitchen. Maddie was currently working on an invention while Jack and Danny ate cereal at the kitchen table. "Genius Magazine said yes! They got my letter and want to put mom on the cover!
Maddie set her invention down and looked at the letter Jazz had in her hands. "Genius Magazine?" Jack stood up and snatched the letter to read it.
"Is it the swimsuit issue?" Jack said causing Danny and Jazz to almost hurl.
"Uh, Dad, Genius Magazine is for women geniuses, by' women geniuses, and about women geniuses". Jazz said, earning some even more disgust from Danny. "'' Oh, gross! Mom's gonna be in the swimsuit issue?!"
"Danny, you in there?" Said Kairi as she knocked on the door. Jazz opened it and allowed Kairi and Sora to come inside. Jack and Maddie looked at the two strangers, just assuming it was Danny's new friends.
"Hi kids! You can help yourself to some cereal if you want some!" Maddie said as she went back to her invention. Sora helped himself to a little of it and sat down next to Danny.
"Check out the latest in ghost-hunting technology: the Ghost Grabber! It takes the mysterious sounds a ghost makes and translates them into words you and I use every day. Here, try it" Jack said as he held the device infront of Danny.
That caused some worried looks from Danny, Sora and Kairi as Danny spoke. "Uh, uh...boo?"
The device beeped for a moment before calculating what Danny said. " I am a ghost. Fear me." Danny gulped and grabbed his bag. "Uh… we gotta get to school. Come on guys!"
A short time later
Danny laid his head in sadness on the school library desk, having just got back in his test from last period. "''I got a D! All this ghost hunting is taking away from my study time!"
"Danny, we'd help more but our keyblades really only do so much against ghosts." Sora said, trying to get his friend to calm down a bit. Only for Danny to say how his parents can kill him if he got a D in biology.
"Not if you pull your grade up by doing an extra credit biology assignment... " Sam said as she typed on her computer and pulled up an extremely rare gorilla named Sampson. "On this magnificent creature."
"A purple-back gorilla? I know how to speak their language!" Sora said, earning a look from the trio. "Long story."
Sam brought up the idea of the five of them going to the Zoo after hours to observe him as close as they can. They all thought it was a good idea and planned to meet there around 11pm. On that note, the bell went off, signaling the end of the period.
The trio leaves the library as the ghost from the warehouse phases through the wall and floats over to look at the web page about the gorilla. "Hmm, so this is your prey, eh, Ghost Boy?" He said as a nerdy kid came up to the ghost and tapped him on the shoulder.
" Uh, excuse me, sir? Are you finished with the computer?" He asked. The ghost said nothing as he shot a series of ecto-blasts at him, trapping him in webbing upside-down on the wall. He then proceeds to wail.
The day continues as normal, the group getting classes done and over with before heading on over to the Zoo at their designated time.
"''There he is: Sampson. So gifted, so...majestic." Sam said as she stared through the binoculars she brought with her. Sampson scratches himself.
"Sam, we've been watching the gorilla scratch his butt for, um, how long?" Danny asked as everyone was bored out of their minds.
It's only a matter of time before you find out something about Sampson nobody's ever learned! Sora, you said you know how to speak gorilla right? You should go down there with Danny!" Sam suggested, but upon turning around, she saw Danny and Tucker lying on the floor in spooning positions.
She quickly grabbed her camera and snapped a picture. "Boys hugging makes every yearbook funny."
Meanwhile down at the habitat, the same ghost from before made his move into the Tiger pen, staring at Danny in the Observation tower, planning his next move.
Little did he know, a certain feline was hungry for a snack.
