Casper High was bustling with activity a few days after the incident with Walker and his jail. Lancer was excited that it was the school's Spirit Week. He currently was jumping in the air to show his excitement. "Casper! High! Spirit!" He said before falling to the ground.

"Ahh, Spirit Week. I love it so. The pomp, the circumstance, and mostly the spirit sparklers!" Lancer said as he showed Jazz a photo of him when he went to the school as a kid. "Jasmine, did you know I was a cheerleader when I went to school here?"

"Really? Weird. No clue. Look, can I talk to you for a minute, Mr. Lancer?" Jazz said as she began to tell her things about Danny and the problems he's going through.

Danny, Sora and Kairi were currently fighting off a new ghostly foe, going into the guidance counselor's office in the process. The ghost gives the trio a loud growl before they all exchange blows.

'About my brother Danny and his new friends? They've been acting strange lately… like they aren't themselves anymore!'

'I'd talk to him, but I'm his older sister and he's just going to think I'm being bossy. If he doesn't talk to somebody…he's going to get himself into trouble. All that frustration he's repressing could come out the wrong way.

Danny shot several ectoblasts at the ghost but he misses. The ghost flew through the ceiling and left the trio all alone. Suddenly, Lancer opens the door and stares angrily at them.

"Good one, Fenton. You let him get away, you idiot."

A short while later. Danny and his friends were in the destroyed room, sitting in front of the school's Guidance Counselor, Penelope Spectra. She was walking around her office and straightened some pictures that were not hanging right. Before she sat down, she went to her air conditioner and turned it to it's coldest setting. "Don't worry about the mess, stuff happens! Isn't that right, Jasmine?"

Jazz rolled her eyes as she spoke up. "It's Jazz, my friends call me Jazz."

Danny, annoyed at his sister, gave a snarky response. "Yeah, well, your brother calls you fink!"

Jazz tried to calmly looked at her brother, trying to figure out how not to upset him even more. "Danny, I'm just trying to help. Come on, we used to talk all the time…"

Jazz and Danny had a small argument before being stopped by Lancer. "That's more than enough out of you, Fenton. You and your friends get to class while Ms. Spectra and I decide what your punishment is."

Danny and his friends left, leaving Jazz the only minor in the room. " Unlike her brother, Jazz is one of Casper's best and brightest. She'll be giving the keynote pep speech at our centennial Spirit-a-thon on Wednesday."

Spectra smiled and pointed to a selection of photos of her and the previous keynote speakers of years past. "Right on! That's why I'm here. to pump up the pep, one student at a time.

"Jazz, Dr. Spectra is a highly respected motivational speaker and teen therapist. She's agreed to help pump up the volume on that old Casper High spirit this week." Lancer said as Spectra's assistant, Bertrand, walked in with a piece of paper. Spectra had a small discussion with him before returning to Lancer and Jazz.

"Jazz, we're gonna have a super week! Wait'll you see what we have planned for the Spirit-a-thon! Right after your speech, show her, Bertrand," Spectra said as Bertrand held up a picture. The picture showed Casper High written in various dominoes. "we'll set off this domino chain that says "Casper Spirit". Dominoes represent how each person's spirit affects the next person they touch. Slammin', huh?"

Jazz cringed at the adult displaying teen slang like it was no big deal. "If by slammin', you mean weird, then yes."

Lancer looked disturbed as well but eventually perked up and asked a question he was dying to get an answer to. "And the spirit sparklers go off afterwards...right?"

Spectra nodded as Jazz left the room.

Danny, Sora and Kairi were sitting just outside of the office in chairs. Under the chairs was a sign declaring that no one could be unhappy sitting in them. The office door soon opened and Paulina walked out.

"So, you're saying my popularity is, like, completely dependent on my beauty?" Paulina said in a depressed mood. Spectra nodded and waved a happy goodbye as Paulina walked away, seeming to be even more depressed.

"I'm not saying it's fair, sweetie. But if you feel like you need a lot of makeup, I say go for it!" Spectra said. "Danny! Sora! Kairi! Come on in!"

The group walked in and sat back in front of Spectra. "I can't believe my stupid sister convinced Lancer to make this my punishment." Danny said as everyone, sans Spectra, started to shiver.

"Can we please turn up the heat here? I can see my own breath! It's nearly as cold as Arendele here!" Sora said.

Spectra had a smirk on her face as she spoke. "Wow, you do complain alot! Well, your sister did say you three could be a bit of a baby." That reaction caused all three kids to be defensive towards their actions.

"Jazz said what about us?" Kairi said, holding back her rage. She liked Jazz but she was extremely overbearing towards Danny and she needed to be stopped right in her tracks. Though, how could she go about getting Jazz to step back a bit?

"Sweetie, it's not your fault she thinks you're all losers." Spectra said, going to stand behind the trio and placed her hands on their shoulders. "I'm not saying you're a loser, Danny. I think you're a great kid!"

"Then why do I feel so miserable?" Danny said.

"You know what I think? You might be a mess, but mess is the beginning of message! Now go out there and be a better you." She said as the now depressed trio walked out of the room and closed the door.

Spectra grabbed her compact and opened it. Her image on the mirror appeared old like Mother Gothel, but a green mist surrounded her face and made her young again. She smiled and closed her compact. "Marvelous! Though Sora and Kairi made me feel even younger than usual…"

Bertrand came back into the room and looked at his boss with an annoyed expression. "Why are you wasting your time on a messed up kid when we've got a big to-do planned for Wednesday?"

Spectra shot a dirty look towards Bertrand. "Yeah, but Wednesday's still a couple days away. Hmm. Teen misery is the nectar that keeps me looking fabulous and that Danny and his… magical pair of friends are like a walking spa treatment!"

Bertrand laughed and turned into a ghostly figure before speaking again. "Hmm, then maybe I should up the ante." Bertrand then transformed into a giant flying hornet before flying out of the room.

Awhile later, Danny was walking with his friends down the hall. Tucker looked at Danny and his new friends with a concerned look on his face. "Dude, you ok?"

"No… I feel tired and so depressed." Kairi said as Danny and Sora nodded in agreement.

"I can't believe my sister told that shrink I'm a loser." Danny said as he slumped against his locker. Sam did the same and looked shocked at what Jazz said.

"That doesn't seem like Jazz to me. She's your sister… why would she say that?" Sam said as Jazz turned the corner and stopped in front of everyone.

"What doesn't sound like Jazz to you?" She said, earning sour expressions from everyone.

Danny stood up and pushed past Jazz. He motioned for his friends to follow him away from his sister. "Well, maybe this is me now, huh? Not everyone's pumped up full of spirit all the time, you know."

Jazz tried to follow but a random kid grabs her, pointing away. "A freakishly large hornet!" He said, running and jumping into a locker, accidentally closing it onto his leg. "Owww, my leg!"

Jazz gasps and people scream as indeed, Bertrand the freakishly large ghost hornet buzzes around the corner. It turns to look at Jazz and she shrieks. Sora and Kairi saw this, huddling around Danny to allow him to go ghost.

"Back off, ghost bug!" Danny said as he flew towards Bertrand and punched him away from his sister. Sora and Kairi summoned their keyblades and joined Danny on the outside.

Danny was in a full on fist fight with the hornet when Sora and Kairi joined him. Kairi flew up into the air and landed a few swats on the hornet to help Danny. "Somebody called for an exterminator?" She said.

The hornet seemed to laugh. "My, you are clever, aren't you? Swat this, princess!" He said as he flew stinger-first at Kairi. Danny jumped in to protect her but the stinger slices his arm and he falls to the ground.

Sora ran over to help him up and Kairi grabbed her thermos to aim it at the bug. "Alright, pal! Time for you to.." She started to say before the hornet vanished from sight. She sighed and flew back to the ground in defeat.

"Come on guys, let's head back to the lab. Maybe we can figure something out there." Danny said as they all headed back to the house. Jazz, however, saw the fight and beamed happily. She saw a ghost and had to tell her brother!

"What do you mean?! You didn't see the giant bug at school today?!" Jazz said, having arrived home a while after Danny. The trio were currently sitting at the kitchen table, munching on some chips.

"It didn't look like a ghost to me. It just looked like a big bug. So I ran. Like a big old loser!" Danny said as Sora and Kairi nodded a bit. Jazz scoffed slightly.

"I was right. You're not going to listen to me, are you?" Jazz said as Kairi popped up into the conversation.

"Jazz listen. Why on earth would we listen to you after you insulted us like that in the Guidance Office?" Kairi said, earning a shocked look from Sora. Jazz didn't know what to say to that so she said the one thing she could say to get her answers.

"Well, you don't leave me any choice. Mom! Dad! Can I talk to you about Danny and his friends?" She said.

Like a bolt of lightning, Jack and Maddie were in the kitchen, with ghost hunting equipment in their hands, ready to fire at a moment's notice. "Is there something wrong with Danny?"

"Is there a ghost involved?" Jack said.

""Is there something you want to talk about?" Maddie said, now next to her son and his friends.

" I...I…" Danny said, struggling to find something to say. Sora saw this and decided to speak up for his friend.

"Jazz saw a ghost at school today. She was really freaked out about the whole thing." Sora said as Danny eased up and then relaxed a bit. Jack and Maddie now were surrounding Jazz, asking questions a mile a minute.

Danny took this opportunity to escape with his friends to go eat at Nasty Burger with Sam and Tucker.

The next day at school, Jazz finally managed to get Tucker and Sam alone for some intergiating she needed to get done. "Don't you think they've been acting weird? I mean, haven't you noticed how gloomy and negative they have been lately?"

Tucker blew her off. "Jazz, Sora, Kairi and Danny are our friends. We are meant to keep their secrets from you." Jazz reaches into her purse and hands him a twenty dollar bill ."However for the right price…"

" We've all got our problems, Jazz. I know you're worried, but Danny's ok." Sam said, handing Jazz her twenty back.

Sora, Kairi and Danny were walking by and stopped at a water fountain to drink, when suddenly, Sora's backpack arm was lifted and pulled onto a fire alarm handle. When he went to move, the alarm was triggered.

All the school's sprinklers went off, soaking everyone and causing them to be evacuated.

Outside of the school, Police and Fire were called to assist the school to find the problem behind the whole incident.

Lancer had Danny and his friends surrounded and sentenced them to a whole month of detention as a punishment for their actions. "A month's detention?! But I didn't do anything!" Sora said in defense.

Spectra popped up and placed her hands onto Lancer's shoulders. "Hey, Mr. Lancer! It was an accident. But we're going to take that accident and make it an accid-don't, and learn from it so it never happens again!"

Lancer agreed and left Spectra alone to deal with the whole situation.

"How in the Hades is this supposed to help us?!" Sora said in defiance as he looked in the mirror. Sora and His friends were dressed in knee socks, a diaper, a sash labeled SPIRIT over their tops and a giant black top hat.

"We're gonna help you overcome your fear of being called a baby." Spectra said from behind her desk, an evil looking smile on her face. The children all slumped back down into their chairs in defeat.

The room door opened up shortly after and Dash walked in with several boxes in his hands. "Where do you want us to put these banners up,..." He started to say before noticing the diaper-clad teens in the chairs. "Hey guys, check it out. It's the Casper High Spirit Baby."

Spectra took this chance to get her much needed energy out of the sitting teens, smiling while she soaked it all up.

After a long day of being tortured mentally, Danny and his friends decided to hang out at the local drug store to eat some ice cream. They all watched Valerie and Kwan get their own ice cream to eat.

"I don't know. Ms. Spectra says I worry way too much about material possessions." Valerie said as she took a bite of her desert. Kwan agreed and said how Spectra said he's going to grow old, broke, and alone.

"Man, it was brutal making you three wear that stupid baby suit. I could hardly watch. Though I did get some good digital pics." Tucker said as he flipped through his phone to show everyone. Sora, Danny and Kairi sighed in embarrassment.

"Hey, whose side are you on, anyway?" Danny said, snatching Tucker's phone and putting it into his backpack.

Just then, Jazz walked in and waved over to the group. They all turned away rather coldly, leaving Jazz a little hurt in result.

Danny's ghost sense went off, alerting Sora and Kairi to the imminent threat. The sounds of screaming from the makeup counter confirmed their suspicions! Paulina currently was being bothered.

Danny and his keyblade friends rushed out the back door in a way to let Danny transform. Jazz ran after them and ran out. As Jazz is looking around the alleyway through the half-open door, Danny goes ghost. Jazz gasps as he launches off and flies away. "DANNY?!"

"What was that.. Why did Danny become a ghost?! Why do Sora and Kairi have key-swords.." Jazz demanded.

"Keyblades..those key-swords are called keyblades." Tucker started to say before Sam covered his mouth.

"Tucker! Sora and Kairi risked breaking the world order by telling us. Jazz can't be trusted!" Sam said as she angrily looked up at the sky. "It's not what you think, Jazz."

Jazz stood there as things she was told flew back through her mind. Jazz's eyes widen as she realizes they know exactly what she just saw, and that they're covering up for Danny and his other worldly friends.

"Oh. Oh, of course! My parents are such loons, it's rubbing off! Oh my gosh, is it that late? I've gotta work on my Spirit Week speech!" Jazz said as she ran back out to the streets to think to herself for a moment.

Back inside the pharmacy, Paulina was trying the new makeup they had for sale. She picked a few then put them on her lips. Before she put a new shade on, she felt a tap on her shoulder. "Do you mind? I was here.. First?!"

Bertrand screamed in her face, causing both Paulina and the sales lady to run away in complete fear. Sora shot a ray of ice at Betrand, sending him into a few magazine racks. "I know you need your makeup, but you're just gonna have to wait your turn." Sora said.

[Bertrand backhands Sora then shoots an ectoblast that Danny narrowly escapes, instead vaporizing a book display. Shoppers are starting to notice the fight more and more as time goes on.

"You're not very good at this, are you?" Bertrand said with a smart tone to his voice. Grinning, Bertrand melts down into a wolf form and pounces, managing to take a bite out of Danny's tail and cornering him.

Tucker and Sam decided to help, only to get chased by the now wolfified Bertrand. "No! You leave them alone!" Kairi yelled jumping in front of Sam and Tucker to protect them. She tackles Wolf Bertrand and they roll, ending up with Bertrand on top.

"Oh, look. The little loser ghost and the idiot key holders have a few baby helpers!" Bertrand said, taunting Kairi and Danny.

Danny was the most offended from all of this, letting a bit of his underlying rage come on out to the surface. "Do...not..call..me...a LOSER!"

Danny manages to throw Bertrand off and into a glass display case. He shoots an ectoblast at him, but Bertrand dodges and he destroys the case instead, now trashing the entire Pharmacy, Bertrand returned to his original form and flew out,

"I sure hope they're insured." Tucker said, rushing over to his hurt friends.

"Great, he got away again." Danny said, his head down in complete silence.

"Another ringing endorsement for the town screw-ups." Sora and Kairi said, doing the same thing Danny was doing.

"Uh, is it just me, or is this the worst Spirit Week in the history of Casper High Spirit Weeks?" Sam said, pointing out how every student was extremely depressed. "I mean, look at Dash and Kwan!"

"Another day, another 24 hours closer to a career of pumping gas." Dash said, sighing as he grabbed his textbooks.

"At least you'll have a job. Apparently, I'm gonna end up a hobo. I didn't even know they had hobos anymore!" Kwan said, walking away to head to his class.

"And to make it worse, we're all gonna have to sit through Jazz's idiotic speech when she tries to put the I back in Spirit or some other nonsense." Danny said.

Just then, the group saw Jazz running down the hallway, with a happy look to her face. "What the heck is she so happy about?"

"Don't ask me. I'm usually the sour one around here. But compared to everyone else, I'm the goth bird of happiness." Sam said as Tucker just had to agree with her. They were the only two students to not talk with Spectra at this point.

"Wait a minute.." Sora said, grabbing Tucker's PDA and going through his pictures. When he came across their diaper picture, he stopped. "Look at that."

He pointed out how incredibly cold the room was. "I kept thinking I was seeing my breath. That it was cold. But what if that's my ghost sense? What if Spectra is somehow making people even more miserable? What if she's a ghost?!" Danny theorized.

"Only one way to find out." Tucker said, grabbing Sam's hand and dragging her into Spectra's office. A short while later they emerged, just as depressed as everyone else in the school. "I hate my life."

Spectra comes up to the doorway as they trudge off, her face older and lined. "Buh-bye! And remember, there's only an I in Misery if you spell it that way!" She then slammed the door shut. Danny took his cue and flew into the office to overhear the situation.

Sora and Kairi went in with him, invisible thanks to Danny's powers.

"Ahhh. Man, that's good." She said, sitting down at her desk, "I'm gonna miss these kids. They're a waterfall of misery."

Bertrand then came into the room and reverted back into his blob-like form.

"There you are. You hooked up the device?" She asked her assistant.

"Of course. And when the spirit sparklers go up, vaporizing the only chipper kid left in the entire school, there'll be enough misery and anguish in that room to keep us looking young forever!" Bertrand said, almost causing Kairi to reveal herself.

The bell rings, making them all look up at the clock.

"Well, there's the bell. Shall we go hear a speech and bum some more kids out?" Spectra said as she grabbed Bertrand and merged into a single blob of ecto-energy to zap through the wall and into the gym.

Danny lands, letting everyone become visible again. "Jazz! Come on guys, we gotta go protect her!"

They all nod, rushing off to the gym to help save Danny's sister.

In the gym, everyone looked so depressed and unexcited about the spirit week celebration. Some cheerleaders attempted to help cheer them up, but it was so lackluster. "2...4...6...8…"

Lancer saw this and booted them off to the side. He did not appreciate how everyone in the room was acting. "Hey! What's the matter with you kids! You call that a cheer?''We've got spirit, yes we do! We've got the spirit, how 'bout you!?"

Actual sounds of crickets could be heard when he was done, causing Lancer to walk away in shame. Jazz got up to the stage and shuffled her papers to get ready for her speech.

Spectra and Bertrand, now in his human form, walked down the hall to watch Jazz's demise in front of her classmates. "After we've destroyed everything, you up for a cappuccino?"

Spectra nodded with glee. "Ooh, that's a marvelous idea.." She started to respond when suddenly a blast of ice knocked Bertrand back into the lockers behind him. Spectra looks after him in surprise, then turns to find Danny Phantom hovering in the hall behind her.

"We've figured out your plan. You feed on misery, don't you? You suck out the souls of people you nearly drive to suicide?!" Sora said.

"Very good." She said, her eyes flashing a blood red and a purple ring of fire flares up around her. The fire turns to purple smoke and she shifts into her all-black form, flying at him with both hands glowing with ecto-energy. "I fear you've missed a few details!"

Meanwhile, back in the gym, Jazz is standing at the podium between what are obviously two giant ray guns pointed right at her, with a large array of dominos set out on the floor. "In this, our centennial year, we pay tribute to the past with these ceremonial dominos, each of which will fall into the next and finally trigger the ceremonial spirit sparklers."

Lancer looks around and is met with silence. He throws his arms in the air energetically. ''Woooo!" He said, before knocking the first domino down.

Outside, Wolf Bertrand knocks Danny through the wall and pins him to a tree. "You thought you were going to stop us? You're just a frightened little kid!" He said.

He swipes at Danny with his claws, but Kairi jumped up and blocked them with her Keyblade. "Down Kitty!" She said, swiping her blade down, sending Bertrand crashing to the ground in a bit of pain. Suddenly Spectra grabs Kairi and brings her up in the air.

"Let go of me!" She demanded.

"Why would I do that? Your doubt, your misery, it's delicious." Spectra said as she showed Kairi the events in the gym. "The best part is, as soon as that silly speech is over, and that last domino falls and the sparklers vaporize the speaker, we'll leave you three here to take the blame. And by the time I'm done with you, you'll be sure it was all your fault!"

"Man, I am so tired of you dumping on me. And I am so tired of dumping on myself. Jazz never did that, even when I was mad at her." Danny said, flying up to Spectra and freeing Kairi. "I will not let her down!"

Spectra whistled with her fingers and summoned Bertrand. Wolf Bertrand phases back through the school, shapeshifting into a ninja. Danny gives him a flat look as he perches on a tree branch and whirls a set of nun chunks around for several seconds.

"I don't have time for this." Sora said, grabbing a Fenton Thermos and sucking Bertrand into it. Sora grins at Spectra and rattles the Thermos around.

"You're through!" Spectra said before Danny flew around behind her, and grabbed her ghostly tail. He then throws her into a nearby Dumpster. He smiles triumphantly for a moment, then realizes what he's forgotten

"Jazz!" Danny yelled, zipping through the wall and dragging Jazz out of the way and through another wall just as the last domino triggers the ray guns, barely avoiding the podium being blasted. They land in the back hallway, staring at each other.

Suddenly, Spectra grabs him from behind and yanks him into a storage room.

"Look at you. What are you? A ghost trying to fit in with humans? Or some creepy little boy with creepy little powers?" Spectra said with a laugh. "You're a freak! Not a ghost, not a boy! Who cares for a thing like you?"

"Excuse me." Jazz said, shocking the fighting pair. "I don't know this kid, but I hope it's ok if he gets a second opinion." She holds up the Fenton Ghost Peeler and activates it. Armor starts to encase her. "This is weird."

Completely suited up, she fires the Peeler at Spectra. Spectra screams as her black form peels away to expose her human form, which then peels down to successively older and more wizened versions of herself. At last there is nothing left but a smoking, ancient woman surrounded by ghost peelings.

"Talk about having nothing within." Danny said as Spectra screamed in bloody horror. She screams more as Danny sucks her into the Fenton Thermos.

Jazz smiled at her brother but put up a faked horrified look. "Ahh.. ghost…"

With the event back to normal, all the students were filled with cheer and gleefully listened to Jazz's speech.

"Ahh, everybody's mood has lifted, as though some gloomy malevolence has been shooed away." Lancer said. "Your disappearing act worked marvelously. They've got their spirit back."

"They're not the only ones, Mr. Lancer. They're not the only ones." Jazz said happily.
