Caine and Philip look at the camp fire they have, the events of the day still fresh in their minds.

"They're gone." Philip said, "They're really gone."

Caine leaned against a tree, trying to process it. It just seemed so... sudden, painful, horrid. There were a thousand words he could use to describe what happened.

"Caine?"

Caine realized that Philip was talking to him.

"What?"

"What are we going to do?"

"I... don't know." Caine said, "I don't know what to do."

"I think I can help."

The brothers look and saw a person with a cloak on. Caine got up and got into a Firebending stance while Philip got into an Airbending stance.

"Who are you?" Caine demanded.

"I am a simple man, with power far stronger than yours." The mysterious man said.

Philip held his stance but was interested in what this person meant by power stronger than their bending. Caine, being the hot headed person he is, shot fire at him. The man made a red circle and the fire was gone. The man made another circle and the fire was sent back at them. They dodged it and looked at the man.

"Like I said, I have power that I far greater than your bending." He said, "And I can give it to you as well. If you wish."

Caine and Philip looked at each other, both curious as to what he meant.

"What are you talking about?" Philip asked.

"I come from a place where magic originates, it has seeped into several different worlds but it begun in my home realm."

"And what realm is that?" Caine asked, remaining very suspicious.

"I come from a place called the Boiling Isles. Home to witches, demons, and everything in between." He said.

"And who are you?" Philip asked.

"Many call me the Magic Whisperer, but I don't really like that." He said, "But regardless, I am here to offer you the ability to perform magic."

Caine and Philip looked at each other, both confused but also tempted. They knew there was no reason to stay now that their parents were gone.

"This... Boiling Isles, what is it like?" Caine asked.

"It is a place where magic exists, where people are free from rules, where you can be whoever you want." The man said.

Caine and Philip began to talk to each other.

"What do you think?" Caine asked.

"What do we have to lose?" Philip asked.

"Nothing, but what are the odds they're telling the truth?"

"Did you not see that thing he did with the circle?"

"It could be a trick."

"Well, what is he going to do against a Firebender and Airbending master?"

"We don't know how dangerous this man is, it could be a trap."

"What else do we do Caine? We lost our parents, our home was practically destroyed, we have nowhere to go. What else is there? Besides, this could be an adventure of a life time, remember when father would tell us about his time traveling the world?"

"You really want to do this?"

"I do."

"Then I'll be with you, every step of the way."

"You're a good brother Caine."

The brothers walked up to the man.

"We're tempted by your offer. However, we would like to hear more before making our decision." Caine said.

"You two seem to be intelligent." The man said, "Perhaps you are the ones I've been searching for."

"What do you mean?"

"There is a legend, where a great savoir, capable of commanding forces beyond magic, will come and save my realm from a great evil. I believe one of you may be the one."

"Well, if one of us is, then we won't do it unless the other comes too." Caine said, putting an arm around his younger brother's shoulder, "Brother's stick together."

Philip smiled.

"And I wouldn't want to do this without my brother." Philip said.

"Little did we know, one of us was a part of the legend, just not in the way they thought." Belos said.

"What do you mean?" Hunter asked.

"He tried to stop some horrible thing from destroying his realm, little did he know, he caused it."

The man made a spell circle and a portal opened.

"Come, we have much to discuss and I must give you two a few basics before I can give you the ability to do magic, just to see if you can actually handle it."

The man went through and the two brothers walked through the portal. They arrived on the Isles and saw found themselves on the Knee. The looked at the skull in the distance with awe.

"Welcome to the Boiling Isles, made from the decaying corpse of a fallen Titan." The man said, "We have much to do before you earn magic."

"Firstly I believe we should exchange names." Philip said, "I am Philip Wittebane."

"And I am Caine Wittebane." Caine said, "And you are?"

"I am Horace. Horace Clawthorne."
