Hunter looked at Belos.
"So, he needs to go to Eclipse Lake this year?" He asked.
"Yes, but this one is different." Belos said.
"What do you mean?"
"I've done a little research. I found out that there is a special event this year, something that will give him power that would be stronger than the Titan." Belos said, "It's why I created the Day of Unity."
"You created it?"
"Hunter, the Day of Unity is just a name for the day the event will be on. I'm hoping that I will be able to stop him before he enters the lake and begins the process. I just need one thing in order to stop him."
"What is it?" Hunter asked, "I'll go get it for you."
"No, you are staying here until you are better." Belos said, sternly, "You're the only true family I have left. I can't lose you."
"Then what do you need?"
"I need... the Owl Lady's portal." He said, "I made it when I was young, I was just trying to get back home. Caine stole and spent almost a century bringing Benders into this world, giving them magic the same way we got it. I managed to get it back and bury it. It would seem the Owl Lady managed to find it."
"Is that why you want her arrested so badly?"
"Only partially. I simply want to make sure she isn't aligned with Caine." Belos said, "Hunter, the reason I restrict magic was so that Caine would get limited support. He used to gain so much support from wild witches, that I had to do something to stop it. The reason I want her brought in, is to question her to see if she's aligned with Caine."
"Well, I don't think you need to worry about that." Hunter said, "From what I saw while watching the Avatar, the Owl Lady would rather die than let something happen to the Avatar. If she was working with Caine, she would've handed over the Avatar by now."
"Regardless, I need the portal door, and I doubt she would hand it over willingly."
"If only you had a certain someone that might be able to get her to help." Hunter said, "Maybe a dark haired woman with a white raven palisman, one with cyan eyes with the last name Clawthorne?"
"What are you suggesting?"
Hunter nearly facepalmed, but realized that would probably hurt a lot.
"I'm suggesting you get Lilith to get the portal."
"What? Are you crazy?!"
"I think that's a resounding yes." Hunter said, gesturing to the room he was in.
"I told her that if her sister was brought in and joined a Coven that I would heal Edalyn, but I also said that she wouldn't have to capture her own sister." Belos said, "She'll refuse that."
"Just say that you need the portal and will give it back when you're done."
"Hunter, you're not making this easy."
Belos got up and walked to the door. He noticed that Rascal had hopped onto his shoulder. He gently picked the cardinal up and placed him next to Hunter. He left the room and began to think how he'll manage to do this. At the Owl House, Luz was pulling a large dead mammal up the stairs. She dragged it into her demon's room and dropped it.
"Oh, Alejandra, dinner time."
The demon got off her blanket nest and walked over. Most of her fur has left, leaving a large amount of black scales in its place. She bit down on the corpse and started to pull pieces off. Luz walked over to the hatchling and pulled a covered bowl out of her bag.
"And I made sure to get you something as well." Luz said, "I read that you can't eat from a corpse until your permanent teeth are in at the age of three."
Luz uncovered the bowl and got out a pair of tweezers.
"I read that hatchling will eat bugs, berries, grass, and small chunks of soft meat. So, I gathered a bunch of tall grass, a couple flowers, a few berries around the house, some worms and grubs, and I cut some of the meat off the corpse."
She grabbed some of it with the tweezers and held it out for the hatchling. The Hatchling took it happily and managed to eat almost the entire bowl. There was a knock on the door and Luz went over to it. She opened it and smiled.
"Hello, Boscha."
"Hello, Avatar, I heard you wanted to make sure the hatchling is doing fine?" Boscha asked.
"Yes, I know Alejandra can take care of herself, I just want to make sure the baby is okay."
"I see you named her, and she... responds to that?"
"Yeah, why?"
"That means she trust you. She recognizes you a part of her 'Pack' and will do anything to protect you." Boscha said, "Now, show me the baby."
Luz led the way. Alejandra growled at Boscha, clearly recognizing the scent of another powerful demon. Luz put her hand up and Alejandra stopped.
"Incredible, I've never seen a demon so... domesticated in such a short time." Boscha said, "Now, for the baby."
Boscha looks at small scaley demon.
"Looks pretty good in terms of movement, seems to be gaining a pound a day, eating good." Boscha picked the hatchling up and looked it over, "Well, it's a boy. His claws seem to be coming in too. You're doing pretty good at raising him."
"Oh, it's nothing." Luz said.
"Nonsense, you're-"
Boscha sniffed the air, as did the two demons.
"What is it?" Luz asked.
"I don't know, it smells like... another demon." She sniffed again, "Far away from here. I would keep an eye out though."
"Another demon? A good one or a bad one?"
"I can't tell, but it smells powerful. It smells like it's around Bonesborough."
"Maybe I should warn the others." Luz said, "Amity isn't feeling well, she could be an easy target."
"Don't worry about Amity, nothing gets into that manor without the Blights knowing."
"I still hope she's okay."
At Blight Manor, Odalia walked into Amity's room. She gave Amity another shot before leaning close to her daughter.
"I hope you enjoy being sick while it lasts, the second you are better, you have a lot of work to do to make up for what you missed."
Amity stayed quiet.
"You should speak when your mother is talking to you, you ungrateful brat." Odalia said, pulling Amity out of bed, "Maybe you forgot your place? Let me remind you where you belong."
Odalia tried to kick Amity, but Amity grabbed her leg. A low growl came from her throat and she looked at Odalia, revealing red eyes. Amity stood up and dropped Odalia's leg. She grabbed Odalia's neck and held her against the wall.
"M-M-Mittens, w-w-what has gotten into you?!"
Amity leaned close to her mother's ear and spoke in a chilling tone.
"Maybe you forgot your place? Let me remind you where you belong."
Well, Odalia, that is karma motherfucker! Follow, Favorite, and Review for more.
