Aang asked the former Champion, "What is your name, again?"
Alexander Cain replied to the young Avatar and said, "Alexander Cain. You may call me; Alexander, Alex, or Cain. I am not picky."
Aang nodded his head once before saying, "If you say so, Alex…"
Alexander nodded his head once and then said to Aang, "I do." He sighed softly and then said, "Come along, Aang, let us not keep the village waiting." Alex followed Aang, sensing that he was hiding something from him and his friends.
Aang smiled and began to chat happily, blissfully unaware of the suspicion that Alexander was throwing his way. Though he kept his composure, knowing that if he let too much slip, then it could mean trouble, and it is almost always better to be safe than sorry.
Alex hummed and asked Aang, "So Aang, what were you doing in the South Pole?"
Aang blushed lightly, then said, "I was going to learn so Water Bending techniques. It was closer than the North Pole."
Alexander hummed in response and then asked, "So are you the Avatar or a Dual Bender?"
Aang paled slightly as he said, "Promise me that you will not tell anyone till I am ready."
Alex sighed softly and said to him, "I will not lie, Aang. Least of all to my family."
Aang gave a nod and said, "Fair enough," He sighed softly before saying, "Yes, I am the Avatar."
Alexander nodded his head once and then said to him, "Okay."
"Wait, what?!" Aang exclaimed, confused.
Alex shrugged and then said to the young Air Bender, "You see, Aang, everyone is entitled to their own secrets. Though know this; all secrets have a price, has a cost. One lie can burn a bridge of friendship."
Aang frowned at that as he stopped walking. Alexander stopped beside him and asked him, "You okay, Aang?"
Aang sighed softly and said, "Y-yeah, you just gave me a lot to think about… that is all."
Alexander gave him a nod and said, "I know I did, and for that, I am sorry. But I wanted to let you know the price of building a friendship on lies."
Aang nodded his head and spoke softly, "Thank you, Alex."
The demigod nodded his head once and then said with a small smile, "No problem, kid."
Aang smiled at Alexander and said, "So, now what?"
Alex said, "We go to the village and tell the village that you are an Air Bender and if you want to, tell them that you are the Avatar."
Aang sighed softly but nodded his head and said, "If you say so…"
Alexander rolled his eyes before saying, "You know Aang, for being gone for a hundred years, you act as though you were not gone but for a few days."
Aang froze and asked, "Wait, what do you mean?"
Alex sighed softly and then said, "You see, Aang, ever since the Air Nomad Genocide, no one has seen an Air Bender, and no body has seen the Avatar. So some think that the cycle was broken." Alexander explained to him calmly.
Aang was speechless for a few long moments before he said softly, "I-I need to go home."
Alex nodded his head once and then said, "First, you best tell Sokka and Katara, maybe the rest of the Village as well."
Aang sighed and said, "You are right, I guess. Appa needs some rest."
Alexander nodded his nod and then said to the young Avatar, "I will leave with you. If you do not mind. I have had been living at the South Pole for the past year or so. I think that it is time for me to move along." He sighed softly and then said softly, "I wish that I could stay, but there is a massive war out there in the world. It needs to be brought to an end."
Aang frowned and then said, "What war?"
Alex sighed and said to him, "I told you, you have been frozen for nearly a hundred years."
Aang shook his head in denial as he said, "No-no, that is not plausible!"
Alexander sighed softly as he said softly, "Sorry to burst your bubble, Aang."
Aang shook his head and then sighed, "No, you have to be wrong…"
Alex sighed softly as he placed a hand on Aang's shoulder and then said to him in a soft voice, "For your sake, I do hope that I am wrong." Then, he sighed softly, "Come on, Aang, we are burning day light."
Katara walked back towards them and asked them, "You two okay?"
Alexander sighed softly and said, "I think that Aang is homesick. I think he wants to go back to the Southern Air Temple."
Katara gave Aang a sympathetic look and said, "I think that I understand."
Aang looked at her with stars in his eyes as he smiled at her brightly. Then, Aang said softly, "If you want, I can take you to the Southern Air Temple…"
Katara looked touched but said softly, "I am touched, Aang, but I can't just leave my home." She sighed softly.
Alexander cleared his throat and then said, "I can't teach you much more, Katara… so maybe going to the North Pole would be a good idea. I would go with you because I could learn some things."
Both of them looked shocked at this revelation.
Alex sighed and said, "Besides, I think that a bit of an adventure will not hurt anybody. Though know this, once one leaves on an adventure, they always come back a different person. You will not be the same person that you were when you left. Much more should you join The War."
Katara and Aang both looked at Alexander Cain with some interest in his words. However, before either of them could speak, Alex said, "I think that we should introduce Aang to the Village."
Aang nodded his head once and then said with a small smile, "Yeah, I think that, that will be a good idea."
Katara gave a questioning look to Alexander but said nothing for the time being.

(Third Person Point of View)
About a quarter of an hour later, Aang stood in front of the whole village. There were about fifteen total people, including Soka and Katara and Alexander Cain.
The eldest person in the village was Gran-Gran. The youngest was the son of one of the men who left to join the war effort. He was only twelve years old.
Katara smiled and said, "Aang, this is the Village. Village, this is Aang. He is an Air Bender."
Everyone in the village looked at Aang in awe. For no one has seen an air bender in nearly a hundred years.
Aang asked Katara, "Why are they looking at me like this? Did Appa sneeze on me too?"
Gran-Gran said in a grave tone, "Nobody has seen an air bender in a hundred years."
Alex stood off a little away from the group, wearing his polar bear coat. Not that he needed it to be warm, but rather, he liked the texture of it. He spoke up for the first time since gathering everyone, "I sense that there is more to you than being an Air Bender…"
Aang shook his head and then said to Alexander, "Uh… nope, I am just your ordinary Air Bender."
Alexander knew he was lying due to the blessing of Apollo and the blessing of Loki, and the blessing of Hermes. Alex frowned and said slowly, "You are not being one hundred percent truthful. Why is that?"
Aang seemed to stiffen at hearing that. Alex frowned at that and then looked deep into Aang's stormy grey eyes. That reminded him of a child of Athena.
After taking a deep breath, Aang spoke up and said to them, "I-I am the Avatar."
Alex nodded his head once in approval, sensing the truth from his words.
Sokka rolled his eyes, not believing him. At the same time, Katara looked up brightly. She asked him, "Could you teach me Water Bending? Please?"
Aang rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly and said, "I am not a master of Water Bending. I am moderate at best." Nevertheless, he took a Water Bending stance and bent some ice making a snow man.
Alexander nodded his head and made an ice spear, and then said, "How well can you bend the other two elements?"
Aang rubbed the back of his neck and said, "I have not tried yet…"
Alex nodded his head once and said, "Okay." Then, Alexander asked Aang after a few moments, "Can you teach Katara how to Bend Water?"
Aang smiled and said, "I guess I could."
Katara smiled brightly at him and said, "Sweet!"
Sokka looked confused and then said, "So you are the Avatar, eh? No offense, but you do not look like much, buddy."
Aang shrugged and said, "None taken."
Alexander smirked and said, "Maybe you two, well, you three can spar."
Katara asked, "What about you?"
Alex smiled and said, "Please, you know I control water well enough. Besides, I think in a short while I may be leaving to travel the world."
Katara and Sokka both looked down, as did the whole village. They have grown to like and care for Alexander Cain. The man with a strange name.
Aang asked, "How long have you been around?"
Alexander shrugged and then said to the young Avatar, "About a year, I think." Then, after a slight pause, he asked the young Avatar, "Why do you ask?"
Aang shrugged his shoulders and then said, "Just curious. The Truth shall set you free."
Alex arched a single eye brow, curious on where the Air Nomad learned that. Alexander shrugged his shoulder and then said to him, "Okay…" he allowed his voice to trail off, unsure of how to continue the conversation.
Alexander stiffened slightly as he frowned just barely. He sensed something coming.
Katara placed a hand on Alex's shoulder and then asked him in a concerned tone, "You feeling okay, Alex?"
"Yeah… just a gut feeling," Alexander said softly as he looked around the area but saw nothing out of the ordinary.

(Time: A Few Hours Ago)
(Third Person Point of View)
A Young Prince was exiled from his homeland with a scar over his left eye and most of his left side of the face. Though he was not as bad as Harvey Dent, also known as, Two-Face, the Batman villain in "The Dark Knight" trilogy.
This young man was eight-teen years old. He was banished from his home for trying to save the lives of his homeland's soldiers. He spoke out of turn during a war meeting when he was four-teen years old. He was too young, eager, and naïve. For disrespecting tradition and for being too good-hearted, he was punished by the cruel Fire Lord.
Ozai, the merciless, the ruthless, the Savage, the Fire Lord. He challenged his son to an Agni Kai without telling his son that he would be facing himself.
The Fire Lord's firstborn son, Zuko, refused to fight out of love and respect for his father.
Ozai took this as an insult and then burned his own son's left side of the face and then banished him out of the Fire Nation and sent him on a quest to 'Restore his Honor' and for that to happen, he must first capture the Avatar, who has been missing for nearly a hundred years.
Zuko stood on the bridge of the out dated, iron-clad Fire Nation ship. He was allowing the Captain of the vessel to steer and guide it going through the ice fields, as not to sink it.
On his right side stood a pot belly old man with a grey beard and grey hair. This man's name was Iroh. Older Brother to Ozai and was heir to the throne, but due to circumstances, he lost his birth right, well, more like giving up his birth right as heir to the throne. He was Zuko's Uncle and his advisor. He was a famous war general, and he had the title of 'Dragon of the West'.
Zuko had his arms crossed as he stood looking over the sea of ice, searching for anything out of the ordinary, hoping and praying that he would be able to find the Avatar. So that he could finally return home and restore his lost honor, or at least that he what he thought he wanted to happen. Deep down, he loved both his Father and his younger sister, Azula.
Out of nowhere, there was a brilliant white light coming from the south east.
Zuko and everyone facing that direction saw it.
Zuko ordered his men, "Towards the beam of light!"
Iroh stroked his beard but said nothing before he took a sip from his steaming cup of hot Jasmin tea.
A few short moments later, the ship turned towards where the light was shining from.
Zuko mumbled to himself, "I may be able to finally return home after all of these years… with my honor fully restored."
Iroh heard Zuko say this. All he could do was sigh softly. He loved his Nephew, but Zuko was more than a little stubborn and tenacious. Iroh would do anything for his Nephew. Zuko was the closest thing he had to a son since his own son died during the war under his own command. That was before he retired from being a General.
Zuko growled in annoyance as he barked out, "Is there any way for this ship to go any faster?!"
The Captain of the ship said cautiously to the banished Prince, "Lord Zuko, this ship is old. This is as fast as it can go safely."
Zuko took a deep breath and slowly let it out, breathing two jets of flames from his nose as he tried to calm down.
Iroh said calmly, placing a hand on his Nephew's shoulder, "Peace Zuko, if we kill the engine, we may never get there at all."
Zuko sighed softly as he nodded his head once before saying to his Uncle, "Okay, Iroh."

(Third Person Point of View)
Alexander could feel something coming. He looked around and saw that Aang was playing with the kids, showing off some tricks with his glider. Alex sighed and shook his head as he muttered to himself, "It must be my paranoia acting up."
After doing a loop-de-loop, he crashed into Sokka's look out place, which stood about thirty feet tall. Luckily Alex had helped reconstruct it with condensed ice, making it stronger than regular ice. Aang hit the ice pillar and stuck to it for a few seconds before slowly sliding down like a loogie down a wall.
Sokka laughed out loud and said, "You were right Alexander, that structure is tougher than normal ice!"
Alex chuckled softly and smiled as he shook his head, slightly amused by what happened.
Katara rushed over to Aang and then asked the young Air Bender, "Aang, are you alright? Are you hurt?"
Aang blushed lightly and said softly, "Y-yeah, I-I am f-fine."
Alexander Cain sighed softly as he said to them, "Come on. I have a bad feeling about something. I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen."
Aang rolled his eyes and said, "Naw, I think that you are wrong. I mean, what is the worst that can happen?"
Alex narrowed his eyes in annoyance as he said to the Young Avatar, "Aang, my instincts have seldom been wrong before." His eyes burned with passion as he said, "I have seen the horrors of war and of the darkness of Humanity."
Aang took a step back and asked Alexander wearily, "And what would you have me do?"
Alex sighed softly and said, "I do not know, I don't know. What I do know. I think that your light show might have some unintended consequences. I am sure somebody saw it."
Aang waved off Alexander's concern and then said, "Trust me, there is nothing but ocean, sea, and ice as far as the eye can see."
Alex narrowed his eyes and then said coldly, "And what if you are wrong, Aang? What if trouble comes here?"
Aang said to him, "If, IF, something like that happens, I will deal with it then, and that is a big if."
Alexander growled and said, "I pray that you are right." Before he turned on his heels and marched to his own Igloo to mediate for some clarity.

Well, here is chapter two. I was going to try to write longer, but I do not have the time to write, so I posted it a bit early or later, depending on your point of view.
What would you like to see happen? I am open to most ideas…
Also, I have upped the ages up for everyone;
