She is standing in front of Fury. "I may technically not be in charge anymore. However, after this assignment I am about to give; you will meet the one in charge." He tells her. She nods. "Clint told me; you did a good job. Enough to keep you on the team. Though I know he wasn't happy taking orders from a newcomer. But while you may come to serve this other person; I want you to report to him and I alone, understand?" Fury questions. "Yes." She answers.
Mack and Coulson are having a conversation when she and Fury appear out of nowhere. Coulson approaches them after seeing who is next to the unknown woman. "Coulson, she is a temporary member of SHIELD. I honestly don't know how long she will be with us. But for the time being, she is to stay here. And help any way she can." Fury informs them before leaving them.
"I am Rachel Summers-Maximoff. Mr. Fury has actually given me my next assignment. Apparently, the lady Sif is here on Earth. We need to find her. And make sure she returns to Asgard." She says facing Coulson. "Rachel." Fury says. "Of course." She answers. "Take care of her." Is heard before Fury is gone, transported by Rachel.
The other man there reacts. "Well, that was definitely interesting." He says. Rachel turns to him. "I'm Rachel Summers-Maximoff." She says trying to be polite. "I know, you said. I'm Mack." He answers. The conversation between the two men resumes. Rachel remains quiet since she and Fury interrupted a conversation. That and she doesn't do well with strangers. Not that it matters, a woman interrupts anyway.
They are all in vehicles going toward what can only tell is a high frequency reading of some sort. The thing lands in front of them. Rachel rapidly approaches when she recognizes two of them. "Lady Sif, Fandral, what are you doing here? And who is this?" She questions about the blonde standing in the middle. Fandral takes her hand before kissing it.
The blonde raises an eyebrow. "I am the Lady Amora. And we have come here for my sister, Lorelai." She turns to Sif after saying this. "I can help. We all can." Rachel answers. "I thank you, Rachel." Sif tells her. "That is what being part of a team is for." Rachel tells her. "Everyone get back in your vehicles." Rachel tells them. They are all gone within moments.
Rachel leads the way to Coulson once they are on the jet. "It's alright. It's not dark magic. There is a reason he is here. But not the time to be discussed." Rachel tells Sif and the Asgardians. Coulson gives her a pointed look. "Do you really think Fury would have put me here without some knowledge?" Rachel tells him. "You may all be spies; but I had to know the basics." She adds.
"If I may, Coulson, Fandral and I could split up. Plus, there is someone I can get to help us." She recommends. And Fandral can't help but be thrilled that she is wanting to spend time with him; even if it is for a mission. She reaches out for the vague mental waves she felt when she first came here. For some reason, her distress brought the person along. It's like the comfort they offer is tethered to her very being.
She is in the room provided for her getting ready. Coulson had agreed to her condition. Now all they have to do is wait for him and Sif to finish tracking Lorelai . There is a knock on her door. She gets up and answers only to see Amora on the other side. "What can I do for you?" She asks.
The woman lets herself in. "Nothing. I am simply curious about the one that has captured Fandral's heart. I have known him for an extremely long time. And while he may have always been a flirt. He is different around you. Like I said simply curious; my sister and I know certain things about love and the magic it can produce. But this seems as if it is more, at least for him." She tells her. Both unaware another is listening.
They approach the bar. Rachel and the Asgardians get out first. The blast of wind comes from nowhere. And stops in front of Rachel; there Is a man standing there. "Hello, Pietro." She tells him. He nods reaching for her hand. "Don't let this woman touch you." She tells him referring to Lorelai whom is in front of them. "What w…" He starts to question since there is more than one man that appears.
When they start getting shot at; she protects the two of them. As the rest take cover. Though never being far from the Asgardians. When Sif moves to go apprehend Lorelai; she, Pietro, Fandral and Amora follow. They walk in to see who they are looking for next to a group of several men. Each looking more than capable of a fight.
"You know how this ends, so come willingly." Sif recommends. "Mistake me for someone who fears you. I've bested you before. Or have you forgotten?" Lorelai answers. "Sister, please." Amora pleads. "You would side with them?" Lorelai questions. Fandral and Pietro move forward together. Lorelai allows them to get closer; no doubt being able to use this to her advantage.
She is able to sway Pietro. But for some reason, Fandral is unaffected. She recoils at this. The other Asgardians just as dumbfounded. "Impossible. Who is she? Whomever you love must be so deep that not even I matter. You are the first that has ever been able to resist me, Fandral." Lorelai says. He turns to look at Rachel giving himself away; she is just as confused at the event as the others.
Lorelai smirks at this. She starts whispering in Pietro's ear. The closeness the two displayed when coming in the building wasn't missed. The two were standing so close after all. "Do you love this woman?" She inquires. He is silent for a moment. "I am here to do whatever you wish of me." He answers.
Satisfied with his answer, she replies. "Get rid of her. You must be like me to be able to have such hold on more than one man." Lorelai directs to Rachel. First, Fandral, then her partner clearly hesitates. Lorelai and the other men taking their leave. Fandral and Sif try to engage them. Pietro moves forward grabbing Rachel by the throat.
She is struggling to keep conscious. She doesn't want to fight back as much as she can; afraid to hurt her love. And hopefully, what they share will stop him from killing her. And she sees it working, some recognition is in his eyes. Though he still seems confused. He throws her before taking off. She lands against the stool and counter, crumpling like a rag doll.
Fandral is next to her trying to help her up. "Are you alright, my lady?" He asks. "I'll be fine." She says not wanting to let the emotions she feels get the best of her. Now that she knows her love is still in there somewhere; it will be easier with what has to be done. She shrugs Fandral off. All she wants is to be alone. "I came with you only to reason with my sister nothing more." She hears as she starts walking toward the door.
"Sif, calm yourself." Rachel says, her back to them. Fandral and Amora in the corner. "We will get her." She adds. "This man that showed up what exactly is he to you?" Amora asks. "That man was, is my husband. It is a long story. And something I don't wish to discuss." She tells them. "Now tell me about Lorelai; Sif and why exactly you detest her?" Rachel asks.
She enters with the others after Sif has knocked the doors down. Once they see that nothing is there. They regroup. Fandral staying by her side. She starts to work on finding where Lorelai is. She remains focusing on where Lorelai could possibly be now. Leaving Mai, Sif and the others to their own devices. It doesn't take her long; she is about to report her finding when someone comes with a clue.
"Mai." Rachel raises her voice after the woman is sent flying. She and Fandral create a barrier. Getting ready to defend their comrade. When the gust of air comes out of nowhere. Lorelai turns to him. "For whatever reason, you couldn't kill her before. You need to put that aside and do so now." She tells the man.
The man moves slightly shoving Mai in the process; upon her trying to regain her bearings. Allowing Rachel to take the opportunity presented. "You really think I would betray my wife." He answers. He moves once more and is by Rachel's side. Ignoring the Asgardian male next to her. Fandral helps Mai up. Rachel senses that Sif is in trouble. She sends this thought out to Pietro. And they are gone the next second.
She and Pietro appear as close to Sif as possible. Rachel anchoring both of them. "Need a lift?" Pietro says before running knowing his wife will protect him from falling. And while he is hovering in mid air; his speed is able to anchor him somewhat as Rachel reaches out, pulling him to her. "Ignore him." She says. Pietro picks her up and moves toward the cell opening. Rachel still keeping him grounded.
They land in the room the next moment. Rachel makes sure they can't be sucked out. "Sif?" She questions. "I am alright. You and your husband are definitely warriors. I owe you." Sif replies. They are faced with Lorelai. Rachel reaches out and renders Fitz unconscious. Sif moves to get up. Rachel puts her hand in front of her.
"No, let me. I need to give her everything she deserves." Rachel says as she is powering up. Her eyes turning yellow. And she hits one fist into the palm of the other. "That sword doesn't belong to you." She tells the temptress. Sif intercedes shutting the door then tackling Lorelai. Rachel wisely stays out of it at that point. "Enjoying the show, my love" her husband states. "Yes."
Fandral is sitting on the hood of one of the vehicles as Sif is talking to Mai and Coulson. Amora has distanced herself somewhat, waiting for them. Rachel is not far. She feels the pressure on her hand. She turns to see her husband. "It's okay. Go talk to him." He tells her. She moves at that point knowing he isn't threatened nor jealous of the other man.
She sits next to Fandral. Both look up at the stars. "I am never going to have a chance, am I?" Fandral questions. "I can't say. The Phoenix entity has ensured that I will live a very long life; since I am the only one who has mastered it. So, who's to say what will be. What I do now is that I have loved this man for as long as I can remember." She informs him. The conversation ends between them as they enjoy the sun setting. Comrades in arms, she realizes she is going to like this world for however long she will be here.
The two are walking down one of the halls. He speaks. "So, what do you plan to do now?" "I think I am going to stay here for a while longer." She answers her husband. He takes a step closer to her. "I'll return to where you called me from." He tells her. "It was good seeing you, Rachel. I'm sorry for what happened between us. No matter the distance that grew between us; I have always loved you and always will." He tells her as she hugs him which he returns before disappearing.
