Turning the knob, she enters the room. Only to see her niece curled up on the bed, she makes her way to the bed. Without speaking, she sits on it, gently taking picture frame her niece and counterpart had been touching to her chest fiercely. The younger woman turns to see the lack of sleep accompanied with the pain of grief and sorrow in her eyes. Her tears start flowing freely as she embraces her as her niece's breakdown continues.

She starts stroking her younger counterpart's hair just as her niece buries herself in the embrace that is offered. Life is unfair. No one knows this better than you or I. But no matter what you do or what happens I am always here for you. I am sorry you two never got enough chance to truly connect. But she loved you. I am thinking of going to go visit her parents and tell them what happened, why don't you come with me? She hears the mumbled affirmative. "Go to the foyer. I will meet you there. I'll pack for you."

Rachel and Alex are sitting on the staircase talking just as she approaches, catching the last of their conversation. "Why did he have to choose her...?" "Was I really a bad uncle?" "No, you were the best," his niece replies. Both Rachels keeping to themselves what Ahab made her niece do as a hound. The two are about to get up when Scott and Emma appear. Rachel gets up before she and Alex can stop her; as she confronts her father's lover.

The two quickly locked in a mental showdown. Despite her experience and mastery over her abilities and far outweighing Emma in prowess, therefore swiftly gaining the upper hand. Emma strikes back with the thing that she knows will hit Rachel's confidence; showing her an image of Scott picking her over Jean. Rachel's resolve immediately crumbles at this. Scott and Alex try to reach for her at the same time.

"Emma, please," Scott says, his paternal instincts kicking in. Alex looks like he is about to intercede when she interjects. "Alex, I just finished packing for her. Take her to a car and help her with her things." "Look, Scott, darling. This is why the child lost against me. She can't do anything without anyone's help." Rachel slumps at this, knowing how much she has failed in her life; as Alex puts his arm around her shoulders, leading her away.

Red starts getting closer to Scott and Emma. "Come now, Frost; who are you kidding? The child as you called her was able rattle you, why otherwise, did you feel it necessary to retaliate with that image?!" "Rachel, let it go." "No, she hurt your daughter, Scott. And this is all your fault." Her eyes start glowing yellow.

"You really thought it was okay to bully and terrorize someone I care about Emma. Well, let's see how well you can handle someone on the same playing field as you, if not better." She moves forward; reaching Emma just as the other woman barely has time to mutate into her diamond form. Pulling her arm back; concentrating all her power into it, before bringing it forward, smashing right into Emma's face.

The other woman goes catapulting into the wall. Emma is struggling to move away from the wall; as Rachel is upon her again. Small pieces of diamond shards are falling from Emma's face. Just as the scenery changes and Rachel is confronted by all of her demons at once. She sends a wave of energy out that cuts through the illusions. Once back in the real world; she sees Scott attempting to assist Emma. "I see, this woman is more important to you than anyone else." 'That isn't true, Rachel. But even with her second mutation; she has no real chance against you. Don't do this, Rachel." "Neither are you, so I suggest you move; you know she deserves it for what she has done. And if you don't want to get stuck in the crossfire, you need to move. Nothing will save her from my wrath; not even you especially now. You know, the two of you are no real match against me."

She grabs Emma's hair before she starts wailing on her. "What is going on? We heard a commotion," Kitty asks. Kurt, Ororo, Warren, Paige, Betsy, Piotr, Pietro, Wanda, Clarice, Rogue, Lorna and Remy standing there, with Alex and Rachel approaching. Emma is on the verge of becoming unconscious when she flips Rachel, quickly restraining her. Rachel remains motionless, simply looking up at her.

"We need to stop this, before things get out of hand" Kitty says. "Kitty is right" Wanda adds. "Mon petites', Rachel can handle herself, you know this. Though if it does escalate, it is probably better that we move. Besides, we all know Frost and Scott are getting what was coming to them." The fiery claws come out of nowhere, grabbing Emma. They start to pull her into different directions. Rachel sends an image manifestation of one of the few demons that Emma actually has.

Emma starts screaming locked in this memory that seems to be lasting for an eternity. She collapses in less than a minute; the claws relinquishing their hold. Rachel steps forward, the object that she has created in her hand. Just as she is about strike the defenseless woman; when the red energy comes out of nowhere, hitting her right through the shoulder blade.

The lance falls from her grip, clanking against the floor. She grips the wound, covering it with her other hand. She turns to her brother. "You were taking it too far, Rachel. You could have killed her," Scott says. "Good, I had no problem doing so. How's this?!" He crumbles, having hit the wall. She enters Emma's personal space; hitting her square in the face enough, that the woman's head snaps back. The woman following her lover into unconsciousness.

"Think of this next time you want to torture someone. Especially, it is someone I care about. And would be willing to go through hell and back for, through fire for." Her hand is once more on her wound as she walks forward. She passes Howlett. "Hey kid, that was some show." "Thanks". Remy catches her just as she is falling. "It sucks that we don't have any medical doctors here. Nor do you Paige or Wolverine's abilities, Rachel," Pietro says. "Petey, you and your sister may currently be our guests and therefore haven't been here long enough. But we have someone more than capable to handle the situation," Remy responds.

The others turn to Warren. "Give her to me." He has his arms outstretched. Paige remaining by his side. "We should take her to the infirmary anyway. Wolverine, Piotr, I will leave you two to handle Scott and Emma. They will be fine. Rachel pulled her punches even though it doesn't appear that way. Because if she hadn't there would have been nothing left." Except for Scott, Emma, Howlett and Piotr, they disperse as quickly as they had appeared.

She is leaning against the rafters on the porch, taking in the environment around her. 'Maybe I should have just stayed in my world when it perished. And not have messed with anything.' 'You know you shouldn't think things like that. Think of all the good you have done; Nate, Scarlett and Miller are alive because of you.' 'My world never should have existed in the first place; I never should have existed.' 'But you do and that is what matters, you have been enjoying this wonderful, colorful world as opposed to ours. Ours had been too bleak. It is nice that we can feel some kind of peace.' She turns to face her counterpart, a slight smile on her face.

Something isn't right about this I am being lectured by my niece. Her comment brings forth a brief laugh from her niece. She abruptly stands up, the smile and joy leaving her face. "What's wrong?" " I am not exactly sure. Something has entered the atmosphere, though I can't pick up their motives yet. It doesn't feel right though. Get inside and get everyone to safety." "Oh, but." "Get inside," she says more firmly.

She lands in the spaceship, looking around. But she doesn't find any inhabitants. After examining the cockpit, the symbols are familiar to her. Knowing who is here doesn't give her any comfort. If they came all this way, then they are only after one thing. And since she is still new to this world, they clearly don't know about her. Because if they had they would have left someone, so that can only mean they are after her. I just hope it isn't too late. She thinks as she is going at lightspeed, the sonic boom trailing behind her.

She touches the ground just as the mayhem is about to begin. She reaches out, freezing their minds. Sending a signal out to the Xmen at the same time. The Greys are outside witnessing all of this. "Rachel, when your father and the others get here, they will help you get everyone out of here." She transforms her t shirt and pants to her uniform. "Aunt Red, you can't really take them on by yourself." "You forget I have complete control."

"As for all of you, you came looking for the Phoenix, well here we are." As she says this, the fiery bird lands on her arm. Looking at her, it squawks. "Yes, I know." It moves up to her shoulder, waiting to see what the next move will be. "You can tell your leader that there is no threat, especially after all the time the Phoenix hasn't posed a problem. I would never allow you to hurt any of my family, but if your race still wants retribution, then you can have it." The Xmen arrive just as she says this, the wind suddenly blowing the only indication.

Elaine moves down the steps before anyone can do or say anything. "This is all you and your Xmen's fault. I never would have lost my daughters if it had been otherwise." She starts moving forward. "Are you blaming my niece for this?!" Her body glowing ready to strike. Kurt, Kitty and Rachel enter her eyesight. Kitty is comforting Rachel, knowing the words have stung her friend. "It is how she feels and she has a right to. This is what they want aunt Red, for you to lose control and kill someone. Please don't justify the reason for their visit, not for me"

She stops moving. The others take the cue and get the Greys out as quickly as they can. "Rachel, you must come with us, my belle." "I am staying here. Please take care of her." She tells him and the others standing there. "You can't really expect us to leave you." Kurt, Kitty, Alex, Rachel and Remy watch her. "It will be okay. I will handle this. Just watch over both of them and keep them safe in the meantime." "We have to go now," they hear Scott say. The hesitation in their eyes as they follow the order; despite knowing that Red can handle herself. Their past experiences with this race and the pain accompanying it surfaces.

She unfreezes them. "You clearly thought coming in guns blazing would solve the problem. I understand that your fear and hate have merit. However, my niece and Jean's family haven't done anything to you. Slaughtering innocents isn't something I have ever been okay with. How about we settle this rationally and as adults."

"…And if you ever feel that one from my or Jean's lineage needs to pay, then always come to me first. And I will be more than willing to fall on that sword, but only if this is adhered to. If they or any of the other of Earth's heroes are caught in the middle, then all bets are off. And I will give you a reason to truly hate and fear the Phoenix. Nothing you have seen from it can match what I can do, you tell your leader this.

Zipping the suitcase on the bed, just as she finished putting the last of her clothing in it. "Are you sure about this? That this is the best recourse after what has just happened." "I have only been there briefly, I would like to explore more of it, Alex." After the terms she had given the extraterrestrials, she has shut and locked the memory away, so prying telepaths. And those she has a psychic link with won't be able to see it, knowing how they respond to it.

"I take it all of you are ready." "I really think you should tell them rather than just leaving notes." "You're right. But I can't take anymore tears, knowing what would have happened if I hadn't shown up. Besides, he is out there." "Well, we better leave now, before they catch on and try to confront and stop us." The brother and sister start walking down the hallway, with her masking their suitcases from sight.

The two are greeted by their niece and the other set of siblings. "I would use the Phoenix or my telekinesis to get out of here; but it would only draw attention. However, you using your ability will be more conspicuous. The woman raises her hands as she starts altering probabilities. The five gone as if they had never been there. "Thank you for this, Wanda. Where are you going afterwards?" "Well, I had plans with Jan. So, I am looking forward to that; it isn't often that we are able to relax." "I'll say."
