She, Erik and Charles are in the room. "It has been months, and we are still no closer. Not even I can reach her. The Avengers are gone, and no other team has the technology that we need. The Shi'ar are definitely out of the question. I have to leave I know who can help us, but I will be gone for a while. I have to go see someone first. I know that you will keep her safe for me. I am going to go see her before I leave.

She picks up the child from her crib. Holding her and rocking her in her arms, in the hope Katherine won't awaken. And start having a crying fit as she leaves making it hard to do so. "Mommy has to leave. And I don't know when I will be back. I need you to be good for your father, Erik and Charles". She adjusts her grip, bringing the child closer to her chest.

She sees the woman come out of the building. "Lila Cheney." "Yes, what can I do for you?" "I have use for your ability." "I don't know you. Why should I help you?' "But you and I do know each other. Maybe not, this you. But a version of you." "Okay, I am listening…?" "Rachel Summers-Maximoff. We were on a team together where I came from.

This reality isn't the only one I have been to. And there are people that can help in one of them. And while I may house the Phoenix and actually be able to control it, jumping time and space is more of your expertise. I will show the world I am looking for. And you can open the door for me, someone I care about needs my help." She doesn't get a verbal response as an archway appears. "Thank you." "And how are you going to get back?" "I will manage when that times come," she says right before she enters it.

The island in the sky is falling. She gets a glimpse of the red and gold metallic suit situating itself underneath it. 'Great. I am back further than I intended.' She time jumps the minute it would take her to get to him. Nothing he is doing will slow the island being pulled by gravity. "Need help?" "Rachel." "I have never handled something of this magnitude before, but it should be easier with the Phoenix. Go and help the others. They will help you." The phoenix appears before him, following him.

As she starts powering up, the rest of the Phoenix entity making itself known; spreading its wings, as Rachel screams due to the pressure. She is unable to halt the island's descent. She is barely able to pick up that they have managed to get everyone off the island. She lets go, but not before sending out the last of what she can manage out, causing the island to start to disintegrate. She starts freefalling the next moment. There are definitely worse ways to go. "I have you." "Tony." She is out the next moment.

The two men are standing by their desk. "I am sorry. But if she is such a loose cannon, why exactly should we help?" "Tony!" "No, Bruce, if what Rachel has just told us about her, then why should we?" "Because, like it or not, Tony, Wanda is one of you. Whether it is here or in this other world; besides you know what it is like to let yourself go unchecked. Ultron was your and Bruce's fault after all. And what kind of team doesn't stick together?!" "She does have a point, Tony." "Mutiny, that is what this is, if something goes wrong, I don't want either of you to say I told you so." "Tony, thank you" Rachel tells him. "I will be waiting at Xavier's while you and Bruce work on what I have asked of you. And maybe my being here will help Wanda have better control."

Tony and Emma are wrapping up their conversation. "So, you aren't going to help us?" "No." 'I don't know why Rachel bothered introducing us then?!' "For future reference, Tony Stark. And she really thought that the others would agree. And not leaving the decision up to me." "Oh, but, Emma, surely…"

"Oh please, Rachel, I know you and I don't like each other, much less get along." "I don't agree with this. They are going to need help, and I intend to give it. Throw me off the team if you want for my choice, I don't care." "Rachel, but here, in this world, you aren't one of us. And you are an adult and can do what you want' I don't care what you do as well." Emma gets up and leaves.

"You know if you have to be under house arrest. I can help you try to gain mastery over your ability; so, there won't be a repeat of what happened. You mustn't blame yourself, even if your action caused people to die. Not doing anything, people would have still died. At least, you were doing what needed to be done." "But they were still people, Rachel."

"Wanda, with what we do, we really can't be expected to save everyone; no matter how we try and want to. Now for your first lesson, come on. You do want to do your best to prevent this from occurring again, don't you?" The would-be sisters walk to the work out room. A comfortable silence between them, despite being essentially being strangers in this world.

She and T'Challa have just found out that Zemo was behind everything. "Tony!" "Go. I will handle him." "Has anyone seen Tony?" When she doesn't get a response due to the mayhem, she is picking up from each of them. She starts running, picking up that they are all occupied. And has gotten Tony's location. When she picks up on the other two, she takes to the sky, barely making it in time.

She is standing on the ledge. "STOP!" The two men are going to strike Tony who is on the ground; preparing himself to do his best to defend himself. She sends out a power surge that knocks the two powerhouses against the wall. She helps Tony up, and puts her arm around his shoulder. He puts his arm around her shoulder as well; when he sees he needs the support and help. "You good, Tony?" "I will manage."

"Look at the two of you. I thought you hated bullies, Steve. You two should be ashamed of yourselves." "Rachel, I." James tries to interject. "Save it, James." Bucky looks down briefly. "Two super soldiers picking on the guy who only has a tech suit as a defense. And has a right to be angry. You two disgust me. I had thought standing by your viewpoints. And trying to remain neutral would keep me out of this. You two disappoint me." She and Tony are gone after this; her arm wrapped around him; helping him support himself.

"You okay, Bucky?" "I just thought she would understand." "She does. She doesn't blame you for what happened to the Starks. And what you did. She blames us for how we handled the situation. And she was right, though this is on me. I should have told Tony the moment I had found out it was you that killed them."

"So, this is it?" "Yes." "Thank you." "You know you could stay." "We both have things we need to take care of. And people are relying on me to return, especially my daughter." "You, children?" "Yes." "I guess it is nice to know I can be wrong about some things. I had just thought you too hard to raise a child, much less have one." "I would say the same for you, Tony. You are still immature for your age." She turns to their companion. "I know that I don't need to ask, you will take care of her, Vision." He nods.

Knowing that the Lila in this reality is lightyears away, she harnesses the Phoenix. 'If it weren't for my control over my emotions, using the Phoenix would be far from the best and wisest choice.' Before she leaves through the portal she has created; "wait, you know you can stay?" Stark reiterates. "Tony, I can't." She sees a flash of the threat yet to come and the casualties that will accompany it.

"Rachel?" "He is coming. You are going to need my help." She steps back from the portal; closing it. "Who is coming?" "Thanos," she answers. "Like we haven't been in a tough spot, before." "You're wrong, Tony. He isn't like anything you have encountered before. In fact…" "Why are you looking at us like that?" She turns her head after being asked this. "We kick the bucket, don't we?" "Rachel?" Vision speaks. "I will do whatever I can to make sure that this doesn't come to pass. I have lost enough people that I care about, seen a whole world disappear in an instant." "Wow, this is the most you have talked about yourself, Rachel. You know if you need to talk we are here for you." "Tony's right, Rachel." "Thank you, Tony, Vision…"
