Chapter Three: Training Day

At the gun range at Ammu-Nation, Michael oversees the others, shooting at targets.

Michael - Good job!

He walks over to Hugh, who empties the clip in his weapon.

Michael - Nice shot. Where'd you learn to shoot like that?

Hugh - From my latest screenplay, "The Gunman".

He proceeds to load up his weapon.

Michael - Sounds like a good script.

Hugh - It is, pitched it to Solomon Richards a while back, he loved it, and told me to come back when it's finished.

Michael - How's that going?

He fires his weapon, and empties another clip.

Hugh - Most of it, just gotta finish some small parts, and the finale.

Michael - I think you'll finish it.

Hugh - Hope so, this will set me up big time.

He continues firing, Michael then walks over to Norm.

Michael - How's it going, Norm?

Norm - Going good, Boss.

Michael - Good to know.

Norm - I just can't believe it, I'm with the legend, the great Michael Townley.

Michael - Hey, hey, keep it quiet.

Norm - Oh, don't worry, boss, your secret is safe with me, it's just an honor working alongside a legendary figure like yourself...

Michael (interrupting) - Just keep practicing on your skills.

Norm - Sure thing, Boss.

Michael's cell phone is heard ringing, he answers it.

Michael - Lester.

Lester (on phone) - How they doing?

Michael - So far, so good. They keep making progress, if this works out, we might keep them full time for other jobs.

Lester (on phone) - Excellent, keep it up, I'll check on the others.

He hangs up, Michael returns to observing the others work on their weapon skills.

Michael - Alright, everyone, now we're gonna shoot at moving targets!

In an auto shop, Frank, Eddie, and a few mechanics are working on the gauntlets, Frank is on the telephone.

Lester (on phone) - Things going good over there?

Frank - We're working on the gauntlets, I also got the police stingers you wanted.

Lester (on phone) - And the getaway car?

Frank - Lamar's on his way, he's bringing it.

Lester (on phone) - Excellent.

Lester hangs up, Frank returns to working on the gauntlets, a car pulls into the garage, it's Lamar, he gets out.

Lamar - I got it.

Eddie looks at the car.

Eddie - A four door vehicle, Perfect.

He motions for the mechanics to begin work on the vehicle.

Eddie - That car will be the getaway vehicle for the ones hitting the bank, we'll modify it as much as we can to increase their chances of getting away from the cops.

Lamar - When you say modify, you mean, bulletproof windows, tires, the works?

Eddie - Exactly.

Lamar - Shit, this ride is gonna be badass.

Eddie - It's gonna be stored in a parking garage near the UD.

He turns his attention from the getaway vehicle, to the gauntlets.

Eddie - As for the gauntlets, normal suspensions gonna give out under a couple of tons of gold

Frank - Whoa man, a couple of tons?

Eddie - Four tons in total. That's what Lester can get the system to divert into the cage we're hitting.

Frank - Fuck me.

Eddie chuckles.

Eddie - Let's finish the job, shall we.

He turns on a blowtorch.

A voicemail message is heard playing.

Lester (recording) - Ok, there's a tunnel bore machine at a depot in East LS, it's out in the yard, there are guys working there around the clock, and guards as well. Try and get in and out without drawing attention to yourself.

At a depot in East LS, there's a giant drill sitting on a flatbed trailer connected to a truck, workers and guards are walking around, one guard goes off to have a smoke break, he smokes a cigarette, suddenly, someone grabs him, a loud noise is heard, catching the attention of two guards.

Guard#1 - What was that?

Guard#2 - Go investigate that area.

The guard goes to investigate, the other one watches and turns around, only to be grabbed by someone, the investigating guard looks around, nothing, he's about to walk back when a hand taps his shoulder.

Guard#1 - Hey, you not suppose to!...

But he's grabbed and hit by someone off screen, one by one the guards are taken down, we see that most of them are tied up, and unconscious, the mysterious person walks away.

On the site, some of the workers are looking for the guards.

Worker #1 - Where did they go?

Worker #2 - Probably on a smoke break.

Worker #1 - With these hours, and these idiots in town. I'd also smoke a pack a day if I wanted to.

Suddenly, the truck carrying the drill turns on, someone is trying to drive off with it.

Worker #1 - Hey!

Worker #2 - Get him!

They go after the truck, the driver is revealed to be Trevor, he manages to drive away from the depot, and into the city streets, he gets his cell phone, and dials a number, the line rings.

Trevor - Lester the molester, I got your drill.

Lester (on phone) - I paid off a guard at the parking lot round from the bank, he'll open the gates for you.

Trevor - Ok.

He hangs up, and drives towards the bank, a bank guard approaches him.

Bank Guard - I got an arrangement with your weirdo buddy. Dump the truck up there and I'll take care of it!

He drives the truck into the parking lot, and parks the truck, he steals a car, and leaves the area, he calls Lester again.

Trevor - Lester, the drill is in the parking lot.

Lester (on phone) - Excellent, next thing we need is a train.

Trevor - Aight.

He hangs up, and continues driving, heading to Sandy Shores.

End of Chapter Three.
