Oliver placed their hand on Sun's shoulder, he relaxed a little and looked at Oliver.
"But it's going to be ok, I hope." Oliver was beginning to realize how much this bothered Sun. Sundrop stood up and held out their hand and helped Oliver stand up. The children were woken up and then they continued to play.
The rest of the day Oliver was busy thinking of ways to help. They knew that they couldn't fix the virus itself, at least not right now but they could help make things better for both Sun and Moon. They both already made an arrangement, Sun works with the kids and Moon does security. Its seems like Moondrop didn't mind this but Oliver wasn't sure. Oliver wondered what Moondrop thought about everything and how he was feeling.
'I need to ask him.'
Soon the day began to end, Sundrop said his goodbyes to the last of the children.
" I'll see you tomorrow! have a great day!" Sun said as he waved. Now was Oliver's chance to ask.
"Sun?"
"Yes dewdrop?"
"Would it be alright if I turned the lights off? I would like to talk to Moon." Sun paused and his cheery demeanor dropped . He knew Moon could become hostile at any moment and Oliver had already been injured because of him. Sundrop didn't think it would be worth the risk.
"I-Im not sure if that's a good idea."
"Please Sun? I'll stay right by the switch the entire time." Sunny was still unsure. Meanwhile Moondrop was very curious as to what Oliver wanted to talk with him about, Soon he spoke up.
'Sun, I'll be careful I promise.' Sundrop didn't think Moon wanted to see Oliver.
"Ok, but please stay by the switch." Oliver smiled and walk toward the lights and shut them off. They watched as Sun's rays shrank inwards, the colors of his endo switched to the soft blues and Moon pulled out his night cap and gently placed it on his head.
"Hello Oliver." Moondrop spoke in a gentle yet professional tone.
"Hey Moon."
"What did you want to talk about?"
"I wanted to talk to you about the virus and how you were doing." Moondrop scoffed.
'As if they care, Sundrop already told them everything anyway. why waste my time.'
"Why do you want to know more?" Moon questioned with his arms crossed.
"Well I thought maybe I could help in some way, and I would like to know how you feel about it."
"*tch* Well whatever, I guess I could tell you what I know." Not even Sun asked how he felt about the virus, but why did Oliver even bother, it wasn't his problem.
"The virus appeared about a year ago, it didn't cause us much trouble it just made me glitch sometimes. But after a while it began to effect me a lot more, It caused me to switch off at random times and when I turned back on I was in a new place. This only happened after hours and Sun didn't notice so I didn't bring it up. I started to feel more.. angry. I would snap at the children often and become agressive when they wouldn't listen. I would swear and yell at them which scared them quite a bit. I don't know why, I didn't mean to be so cruel. I feel like I can't control myself." Moondrop started to squeeze his arm tightly. Oliver stepped towards Moon, they wanted to comfort him but didn't know how.
" Then we had an incident and management threatened to decommission us because of it and all of the parents complaints. Sun panicked and stopped letting me out, I was in the dark for so long with nothing but the voices, they wanted me to hurt people." Moondrop clenched his fists and his red eyes began to glow with anger.
" Sundrop wouldn't speak to me! I wasn't allowed out for months! But it wasn't my fault I didn't mean to do those things!" Moon was breathing heavily. Oliver went to grab there hand.
"Moondrop it's oka-"
"IT'S NOT FAIR!" Moon lifted Oliver up by their shirt collar and threw them towards the wall. Oliver let out a cry as their back hit the wall. They began to reach for the switch.
"No, no no no I'm sorry, I'm so sorry!" Moon cried out, Oliver flicked the switch on and slumped onto the floor.
"Ow, fuck." Oliver didn't think anything was broken but it hurt quite a lot. Sundrop regained control and looked at Oliver.
" No! Oliver! Are you ok!?" Sun knew this would happen.
"I'm fine."
"I told you this wasn't a good idea! Moon is too unstable!"
"He didn't mean it! and you know that!" Oliver shouted at Sun. Sundrop froze, he didn't mean to make Oliver upset."I'm sorry, I shouldn't have yelled."
"it's okay, I'm just worried your putting your health on the line and you are going to get hurt even more." Oliver placed his hand on Sundrops cheek and lifted his head so there eyes met.
"..."
"I am doing this because I care about you guys, I'm sorry for being reckless. it won't happen again." Sun felt his face begin to overheat. He had never felt this way before.
