Author's Note
I do not own Kim Possible.
A car arrived half an hour later, stopping in front of the car. The woman that got out looked kinda like Red, but she had blue eyes like Ala–
No.
"Hi there," she said with a smile. "I'm Anne Possible. Helen tells me you were looking for me?"
"Yes," Red replied, looking at Helios–
But Helios was still quiet and cry-y. He hadn't got over Metis yet.
Because Metis was–
No.
She smiled real nice again, like when she met Ron. Ron had liked that.
"We have–" She turned and picked up Kicker. He was still all sleepy and let her. Red held him out. "The data file said you were his parent. We didn't know if you wanted him back?"
Anne Possible stared at her for a very, very, very long time.
Her shoulders shook.
And then she started crying.
Red backed up, clutching Kicker to her chest and grabbing Biter, pulling him close too. He twisted away from her, looking up at Anne Possible.
She cried harder.
"Anne?" asked Ron's doctor. "What is it; what's wrong?"
"They– They– Oh, Helen, they– Oh!"
"It's ok if you don't want them," Red said. "We can keep them. We're going to Canada."
"No," she said as another car stopped beside the house. "No, we want them; we do! This is just– It's been six years."
A male doctor left the new car. "Anne?"
"James! Oh! She has– She says– She has one of the boys!"
"What?"
"I have two of them," Red said helpfully, touching Biter's head. "But they're too big for me to hold both now."
Anne Possible's sobbing grew louder.
James Possible invited them all inside and brought them food and water. Ron and his doctor came too.
"I– I don't want to call you a liar," James Possible said as he looked at Biter. "They do– look just like me. But– Our boys went missing six years ago. And these ones have– well, wings. And dog ears."
"Wolf," Helios said dully. "They're avian-wolf hybrids. They came to the laboratory six years ago. It was in their data file."
"Can I see that data file?"
Helios shook his head.
"Metis had it," Red whispered.
"And which one is Metis?"
She swallowed. "Metis is– Metis is Alarm."
"I… see."
He didn't, but that was okay.
"Well, I suppose we can DNA test them. And we'll figure out what to do with the rest of you in the meantime."
"We're going to Canada!" Red said happily.
"And I'm sure that's a great plan–"
"We're not going to Canada," Helios said.
She looked at him. "We're not?"
"There's no point. Metis had all the data. And– There's no escaping the Makers. Not really."
James Possible's expression tightened. "We'll just see about that."
James and Anne Possible took blood samples from Kicker and Biter and made Red's little family comfortable in their laboratory while they waited for the results. It was nice there. There were enough rooms that they didn't all have to share, but they did anyway, curling up in the big bed and listening for doctors through the night.
