3rd Person P.O.V.
"C'mon! No, Dream-" George gasped at the sudden creeper hiss behind him, trying to run away before it exploded. "Please, just give me some food!" Dream sprinted past him, laughing wheezily.
"Get your own food, Gogy." George swallowed, seeing that he only had two hearts left. His hunger bar was also low, he could no longer sprint and was in danger of starving.
"Just- give me something. I'm going to die!" George finally caught up to where Dream had set up a small station, furnaces cooking what he could only hope was food. "Please?" Dream turned to look at him, hitting George with his fist when he came too close. "HEY!"
"Should've gotten your own food." George could hear the grin in Dream's voice, and it was frustrating. After the hit, he was down to one and 1/2 hearts, the bar shaking dramatically.
"Maybe I would've, if I wasn't busy getting materials that you stole from me!" He snapped, huffing. "Fine, I'll go get my own food..." George turned, looking out at the forest. The sun was already setting, and the best thing he had to defend himself with was a stone sword. He would never make it...
"Wait." Dream held steak in his hand, showing it off. He must've realized that going in the forest at night without decent weapons was a death sentence, and stopped George with a sigh. "I'll give you food. On one condition." George hesitated for a moment, suspicious. Dream would probably give him some impossible task, and he would starve to death, if the monsters didn't get him first.
"...What is it?" There was a long pause, and George wondered if Dream had heard him.
"You have to tell me you love me." George felt his heart beat faster. Was he serious? Maybe this was some kind of joke, or maybe he was trying to give their audience what they wanted. Either way, George was nervous.
"Wha- what?"
"Say you love me, and I'll give you this steak," Dream repeated. George knew his viewers could probably see his panic, and chat was going crazy at the whole thing. Briefly, he wondered if Dream was watching his reaction, probably smirking at the sight of a flustered George. He shook the thought away. No, Dream was his best friend. Nothing more than that.
But why was his face so red?
"George?" Dream asked quietly.
"Y-yeah?" He stuttered out, internally cursing. Of course he had to stutter in front of thousands of people, and even worse- Dream.
"You don't have to do it if it makes you uncomfortable," Dream spoke carefully. George thought for a moment, sighing.
"No, it just-" He paused, reading the chat for a moment. "It just caught me off guard, that's all." But that's not the only reason.
"Oh, um, ok then..." Dream trailed off, waiting for George to say it. At this point, it was now or never. His hunger bar was near empty, and going into the forest to find some food would take too long. George sighed, taking a deep breath and closing his eyes.
"IloveyouDream," he said quickly, words running into each other. Opening his eyes, he saw the steak in his hotbar, and chat filled with "CLIP THAT." He let out a soft breath, cheeks pink with blush. That was embarrassing... but it was probably just something to get more viewers. And it certainly worked, George saw his views go up quickly after he rushed through those words. Chat was screaming over what had just gone down, and George couldn't say he blamed them.
However, he was still on edge. Dream hadn't said a word since, and he had run off quickly with most of his stuff, leaving behind a singular chest and furnace. He opened them, seeing that Dream had left some extra food in the furnace, and an iron pickaxe and sword in the chest. He smiled lightly, gladly taking the loot.
"Uh, Dream? You still there?" There was a long pause before the other streamer responded.
"Oh, yeah, sorry, I was muted." George's thoughts ran wild. Why was he muted? Was he laughing? Was this all some joke to him?
"Oh." George hated this. Dream was his best friend, and it was just a joke... so why was he so worked up about it? The more he thought about it, the more upset he was.
"Hey, maybe if we-" George stood up suddenly, hands trembling.
"I actually have to go. Now. Bye." He hung up the discord call, and ended the stream quickly, not giving Dream a chance to respond. George turned away from the computer, taking a deep breath. He was fine... he just needed to cool down for a bit. Sighing, he laid across the couch, closing his eyes. His peace was interrupted, however, when his phone buzzed. George groaned, glancing at the screen quickly, seeing that it was a text from Dream. He didn't answer, hell, he didn't even read it. He was angry- at Dream, for making him say that. At himself, for having a crush on his best friend. At the world, for having him live so far from Dream.
George's eyes watered as he tried to hold back tears. His phone buzzed again, this time it was a text from Sapnap. Sighing, he opened it.
Sap: what happened? dream said you left the stream in a rush
Gogy: i had to go
Sap: you know i can tell when you're lying. what really happened?
Gogy: were you watching
Sap: i saw some of it, yeah. is this about what you said?
Gogy: if you mean what dream made me say
Gogy: then yes
Sap is typing...
While waiting for a response, George's ringtone went off- Dream. He answered it, letting it ring a few times for good measure.
"What do you want?" George snapped, voice cracking at the end. There was a pause, George sniffling softly.
"George..." Dream sighed. "I'm sorry. About the stream. I shouldn't of done that." George was quiet, his only response being another sniffle. "Um... just so you know, I wasn't trying to make fun of you or anything," he added.
"Then why?"
"Oh, um..." Dream sounded uncomfortable. "Well, you see, I..." He sighed starting over. "I wanted to hear you say it, to me..."
"You did?" George was curious now.
"Yeah... and I can prove it too! I was on the phone with Sapnap, that's why I was muted. And-" George's phone buzzed, showing that Dream had sent him something. He opened it, seeing... himself.
"You saved it? But-" George stopped mid-sentence. Could it be possible-?
"Yeahhh..." Dream chuckled awkwardly, George smiling absentmindedly at the slight wheeze. "I really wanted to tell you this in person, but I feel like you might murder me if I don't tell you now, so," Dream took a breath. "I kinda like you."
"Kinda?"
"Fine, I really like you," Dream admitted. "Like, a lot." George smiled widely, unable to hold back a grin.
"I kinda really like you too," he giggled. Dream let out a soft sigh of relief.
"So... you're not mad?" George thought for a moment before answering.
"I guess not. But don't do it again, ok?"
"Yeah, ok. Anything for you, Gogy." George blushed, grateful that Dream couldn't see him. "Actually, I was wondering how you felt about me coming to visit you sometime... since, y'know, we haven't actually met in person."
"Oh, yeah! We should make plans, you can stay at my house and I could pick you up from the airport and-" George was cut off by a wheezy laugh.
"Why don't we try planning that later? I should probably try to find a flight first," Dream chuckled. "But I can't wait to visit my little Georgie!"
"I'm not that little-!"
