-Final battle arena-
The three Bakugan landed on Dan's gate card, and then roared loud enough to shake the very space they were in.
"Alright, Drago–this is it! Ability Card Activate!" Dan yelled as he hurled his card at his partner. "Infinity Opus!" He added. Drago roared as he felt the Infinity Core enter his being, his body alight with positive energy.
As the glow of his evolution died down, Drago roared as he emerged a new being: Infinity Dragonoid!
"Looking good, Drago!" Junior grinned as he glanced at his close ally.
"It doesn't matter, I will destroy you! Silent Down!" Naga roared as negative energy hit both Bakugan hard.
"Rgh! Blaze Driver!" Drago roared as he glowed with Haos light, nullifying Naga's attack.
"Whoa! He just used a Haos Ability!" Runo gasped.
"Dive Fleet!" The Dragonoid added as he suddenly turned into water and appeared behind Naga. "Surprise." He growled, slamming his tail into Naga and sending him flying towards Junior, who slammed him to the ground with his tail.
"Whoa! That was an Aquos move!" Marucho exclaimed.
"The Infinity Core must've given him the power of all six attributes! He has no limits anymore!" Shun noted in amazement.
"Ragh! You annoyances!" Naga growled in irritation.
"Ah shut up!" Shiro yelled. "Let him have it, Junior!" He added.
"Danger Spore!" The Kaiju-Bakugan roared as he slammed his body down and sent a giant cloud of acidic scale-spores at Naga, which ate away at him, flesh and all.
"RAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHH!" The silent albino roared in pain as the spores ate away at him and reduced his power in the process.
"Silent Naga power decrease by 300 Gs." The bakupods buzzed.
"Grand Swift!" Drago roared as he readied himself for a mid-air dive at Naga, and was engulfed in Ventus attributed energy, clashing with the wounded Dragonoid.
"Gah! Darkus Riot!" Naga roared, but was stopped by a root wall.
"Yggdrasil Wall!" Junior snarled, his tail buried in the ground before he pulled it out.
"Sizmic Smash!" Drago roared as he hurled an energy double bitted ax at his mate's evil brother, who let out a pained grunt
"Wow! That move was Subterra!" Julie gasped.
Meanwhile, Hal-G was growing worried at the opposition his master was facing. He had to do something, and quickly.
"I won't let Master Naga lose! Bakugan Brawl!" He exclaimed as he summoned fifteen Bakugan, which shot out from his cane. "Paladin Army stand!" He added as fifteen guard-like Darkus Bakugan rose.
"Oh you have got to be kidding me!" Shiro yelled angrily.
"Meet the Paladin Leigon, Naga's Royal Guard!" The goblin-like man grinned as the fifteen constructs stood attention.
"Well, it's not like it was exactly fair from the get-go!" Dan growled as he glared at the new enemies.
"Grrr! Get out of my way, Clowns!" Drago growled. "Lunatic Burst!" He yelled as he fired a volley of Darkus attacks at Naga, but got blocked by his guards.
"Atomic Solar Plexus!" Junior roared as he shot a green beam at the paladins, but they blocked it with a shield wall. "Oh goody. This is going to get infuriating very quickly!" He growled.
"Ha ha ha! Our time is now, my minions! Attack!" Naga roared as the Paladins came to life.
The golems then took their spears and hurled them at the two opposing creatures, who stopped them with a fire and root wall respectively.
"Come on! We'll take you all down!" Junior roared challengingly. The Paladins started charging at the two and slammed their shields into them, sending the duo crashing backwards.
"Urg…" Drago groaned as he and Junior fell to the ground, the constant bashing from all directions beginning to wear on them.
"Damn!" Shiro growled as the onslaught continued. As strong as he was, he knew Junior would still have trouble against multiple opponents.
"This isn't good!" Runo gasped.
"We need to figure out how to help Drago and Junior, but how?" Julie questioned.
"I think I may know a way." Tommy said as he pointed at a news copter that couldn't get near the battle due to a force field.
"Great idea Tommy." Zina nodded as she took Zilla and the other Kaiju. "Let's send our partners in." She added.
"Right!" Marucho nodded as he looked at his two partners. "Preyas, Diablo, Angelo! Are you guys ready?" He asked.
"Say no more!" Preyas exclaimed in affirmation.
"What he said!" Angelo nodded.
"Bakugan Brawl!" The kids yelled as all Bakugan and Kaiju made their way to the battlefield.
BOOM!
Six Paladins were sent flying as Zilla slammed herself into them out of nowhere."What?!" Naga yelled in surprise and irritation as the rest of his enemies appeared.
"Need a hand, guys?" Zilla asked as Drago was helped up by Tigrerra while Junior was helped up by Destroyah.
"Thanks for arriving, everyone." The chlorophyll colored King grunted.
"But of course." Mothra chirped.
"We're family after all." Manda added.
"Best friends too!" Tricloid nodded.
"What she said." Chimed in the other Hybrids.
"So we stick together." Draconoid grinned.
"No matter what!" Naganoid amended.
"Guys…" Dan breathed before he grinned. "Let's go!" He exclaimed as determination burned in his eyes.
"Yeah! Let's show Naga that this is our world!" Shiro yelled.
"Yeah!" The bakugan roared as they charged forward, straight at the Paladin Army.
One Paladin tried to rush Destroyah, but she just grabbed it by the shield and lifted it off the ground before blasting it with an oxygen beam. Another tried to rush Gigan, but was sliced apart like it was hot butter.
"Velocity Fang!" Tigrerra exclaimed as she sliced a Paladin apart with her blades.
Next, Space Godzilla telekinetically lifted a Paladin into the air, allowing Megaguirus to blast it with a sonic boom. Four tried to take on Biollante, and as she sprayed her acid at them, they tried to use their shields only for them to be eroded away as they were bathed in the corrosive substance.
"Blue Stealth!" Preyas exclaimed as he disappeared. "Now for my patented disappearing act!" He added.
"Let's go!" Angelo exclaimed as he uppercutted a Paladin, stunning it before Diablo took over. "My turn!" He exclaimed as he held the minion still. Preyas was quick to deliver a series of punches at Shonen speed, caving its helmet in and taking it out of commission.
Next, Manda struck a Paladin and started constricting it, and crushing it like a soda can. Meanwhile, Tricloid managed to trap a pair of Paladins in a mud ball before she picked it up.
"Hey guys! Who's up for a game of volleyball?!" She called eagerly.
"I am!" Rabeeder called back with a grin.
"Hey, don't forget about me!" Druman added as he got ready.
"Serve!" She called, batting the ball.
"Take it, Druman!" Rabeeder exclaimed, swatting it at the Pyrus-Darkus hybrid.
"Vortex Dark Flame!" The beast exclaimed, blowing the orb of clay to bits.
"Haha! That was fun! " The three eyed hybrid cheered.
"Hey Shiro, how'd that look to you?" Rabeeder asked, turning her gaze to her human crush.
"That was amazing!" He replied with a grin, causing her heart to skip a beat as a blush appeared on her face as she smiled at him.
This free for all continued until all the Paladins were destroyed, leaving Naga with no meat shields left to hide behind.
"Now it's just you and me, Naga." Drago growled.
"No, it's just me, Drago!" Naga retorted they charged at each other.
"At the end of this day, one shall stand, and one shall fall!" The Dragonoid growled as the two clashed claws.
"And it will be you who falls!" The silent albino roared as the two started flying around the battlefield, clashing in the air frequently.
"Whoa! This is insane!" Julie exclaimed with wide eyes.
"Never seen a battle like this before!" Tommy groaned as he braced against the shockwaves the battle was causing.
"And I doubt we ever will again!" Marucho exclaimed as everyone braced themselves.
If they thought the shockwaves were bad in their position, then ground zero was a terrible place for Dan and Shiro to be. The two had been sent flying after the third clash, and were caught by Preyas and Rabeeder respectively.
"We need to crank this up! Ability Card Activate!" Dan yelled.
"Infinity Demon!" Drago yelled as he fired a multi-colored beam at Naga, which his foe blocked with his hand.
"Silent Dive!" The albino dragonoid intoned as he moved his hand out of the way of the beam and began absorbing it into the Silent Core.
"Ha ha! Cute trick, Drago! As long as you keep firing that beam, you'll only make Master Naga stronger!" Hal-G laughed. "So please, keep going! I can enjoy this all day!" He added with a grin.
"Can you really?" Shiro jeered from Rabeeder's large hands as she held him. "Ability activate!" He called as Junior's dorsal plates started glowing.
"Kaijudama!" Junior roared as he built up a ball of energy in his open mouth before firing it at Naga. The silent albino grunted as he started to feel strained from the combined attacks, something Dan spotted and knew it was time to end this.
"Alright, let's go! Fusion Ability Activate! Final Gardner!" Dan called as all of the energy from every Bakugan present was shared with Drago, combining with the shared Kaiju energy that Junior was using.
"No! Bakugan and Kaiju energy mixed together is too much!" Naga exclaimed, his voice strained as his body started to disintegrate.
"Master, fight it!" Hal-G urged. It was futile, however, as the combined energies tore Naga apart and reduced him to nothing in a fiery explosion. The Silent Core flew out of the blast and swiftly entered Drago's body.
"Alright! We did it!" Dan cheered.
"Hallelujah!" Shiro whooped, high fiving Dan as the floating chunk of land rejoined the city.
Back with the rest of the brawlers, they all waited with baited breaths. Then they saw Dan and Shiro running up to them, both sporting smiles on their faces.
"Hey guys!" Dan called as he ran up to them.
"Our world is still standing!" The hybrid added, causing everyone to cheer.
"You did it, guys!" Julie smiled.
"Yeah, you were amazing, Dan." Runo smiled as she hugged her boyfriend, before kissing him. Then a pile of rubble was disturbed nearby, and from it came Michael, who was smiling at them.
"Grandfather!" Alice exclaimed in delight as she ran up to him. "Is it really you? Are you back?" She asked as the elderly scientist put a hand on her head.
"Yes, my dear. I'm back for good, and I'm not leaving again. I promise." He nodded, causing the gingerette to smile before hugging him.
"I'm so happy…!" She whispered tearfully as the others looked on.
"You did it buddy, great job." Shun smiled at his friend.
"Thanks Shun." Dan smiled back.
"Great job, my King." Zina purred, kissing Shiro on the cheek.
""Thank you, my beloved Queen." Shiro replied with a smiled as he held her close. It was then that Drago spoke up.
"It's a little early for celebration." He said seriously.
"What do you mean, Drago?" Dan questioned.
"Look at the sky." The ultimate dragonoid urged, prompting everyone to look and see that the blue sky of Earth had been replaced by a swirl of different colors.
"What the-? Why is it like that?" Shiro questioned with wide eyes.
"The only explanation is that the human world and Vestroia are still merging together." Michael stated, getting everyone's attention.
"What does that mean?" Marucho questioned, prompting the man to turn to him.
"What it means is that when the two worlds merge together, they will simply collapse." He replied, shocking everyone.
"Yes. Allow us to explain." Angelo said. "The fact is that Earth and Vestroia are completely different, and should never have collided." Diablo added.
"The fact that we're here at all goes against the basic Laws of Nature." Hydranoid amended.
"I'll have to stop you right there, my dear Hydranoid." A motherly female voice said and before anyone could say anything, the ground suddenly started shaking.
"What's going on?!" Dan yelped as he tried to keep his footing.
"I don't know!" Julie shouted before a plant started growing out of the concrete, and it grew to a truly massive size before it sprouted a large flower big enough for a person to stand in.
"What in the world…?" Shiro muttered in wonder as everyone looked at the strange plant. After a moment, activity came from the flower… And someone beautiful emerged.
It was a woman with the air of a goddess. She had green skin, supple and succulent mint green lips, ocean blue eyes, long green hair that reached the back of her knees with different colored flowers in full bloom and an hourglass figure that now woman could hope to attain in their lifetime. The height she stood at was a good 6'5"
She had otherworldly GG-cup breasts that seemed to be unnaturally full, supple and succulent for their size, legs that seemed just as unnaturally beautiful, with skin similar to smoothed and polished wood jewelry, hips that seemed like they were purpose made for bearing children, and an ass that capped her set of otherworldly beautiful attributes.
It had a plumb/peach shape that seemed incomprehensibly soft and bouncy, yet toned and firm at the same time–a contradiction that seemed so wrong, yet so right.
Her only real attire consisted of a bikini made from vines, and a cover up skirt made of every kind of foliage imaginable.
"Who… Who are you?" Shiro asked, stunned by the impossible beauty the woman in front of him sported. Unseen to him, Tommy had a massive blush on his face as he looked at the new woman.
"My dear Shiro, I am Gaia." The woman replied with a motherly smile, causing the humans and Kaiju to nearly have a collective heart attack
"M-MOTHER GAIA?!" Battra yelled in shock, which the others shared. The Bakugan, however, were confused.
"Um, are we missing something here? What's so important about her?" Preyas asked on behalf of the Bakugan present.
"Preyas, Gaia is the primordial mother that created Earth and gave birth to the Greek pantheon! She's the entire reason humanity has a world to call home at all!" Marucho explained in a stunned tone, causing the Bakugan to look at the primordial deity in newfound shock and amazement.
"Young Marucho speaks true. I am the primordial creator of this world." Gaia nodded. "Now, as I was saying, you Bakugan being here is not against the laws I established. If it were, I would have expelled all of you the moment you arrived." She stated.
"But if the worlds continue to merge, they will collapse!" Drago argued, but the world mother simply shook her head.
"No they won't. You may not have noticed it while you were stopping Naga, but I had been busy stabilizing everything as they merged." She explained. "All I need now is someone to hold the cores together." She added.
"Which means…" Dan said as he looked at Drago. "That must mean that you have to do it, doesn't it, Drago?" He continued as the bitter realization dawned on him.
"I have to merge the worlds together." The Pyrus Bakugan sighed, much to Dan's dismay.
"B-But there has to be another way!" The boy argued before turning to Gaia. "Th-There is another way, right?!" He questioned.
The primordial goddess seemed to regard the boy with sadness as she shook her head. "I am sorry, Daniel. But even my power has limits." She explained. "I unfortunately used all my current power to keep everything balanced amidst the battle. So–as hard as this is to say–Drago must become the Atlas that brings the two worlds together." She told him, and it was clear she didn't want to separate them either, but there was no choice.
"Are you sure this is wise? Keeping humans and Bakugan together?" Tigrerra questioned.
"Hm hm hm hm. Tigrerra, my dear, I am a being who has existed for as long as the Earth has. Trillions upon Trillions of eons and Millenia of experience and motherly wisdom lied in my mind and love in my bosom." The goddess of the Earth responded with a chuckle. "If my body can house the multitudes of animals, bugs, birds, fish, monsters, and several pantheons of gods with their own realms…" She continued with a motherly smile. "I think I can spare more than enough room for a few Bakugan." She added.
"So humans and Bakugan can coexist together after all." Michael uttered in astonishment.
"I believe the term the kids use nowadays is 'plot twist'." Gaia nodded with a grin.
This caused everyone to facepalm at the woman's mom humor.
Gaia then turned to Drago. "I will guide you to the center of the world, from there, you can fully merge them together." She told him before Waivern spoke up.
"Wait!" She exclaimed, getting her attention. "Would you be opposed to me joining Drago in becoming the core of the world?" She asked, much to Joe's shock.
"Waivern, what are you doing?!" He demanded.
"This is merely a safety precaution. If an outside threat comes here, I want Drago to be able to leave the core and fight while I hold the worlds together." She explained, she then turned to mate and nuzzled him. "And, I'd prefer that he not be made to do this alone." She added lovingly.
"Very thoughtful of you, Waivern. I have no issues with that." Gaia nodded in approval before she suddenly smirked. "On another note… Rabeeder, dear, do have Shiro's children soon, would you?" She told the hybrid in question with a teasing tone, causing her to become flustered and stammer on her words.
Zina immediately burst out laughing at the display while some of the others looked ready to faceplant.
"It's official: Gaia is the origin of the teasing mother trope!" She exclaimed mirthfully as she wiped a tear from her eye. Shiro, meanwhile, slumped his shoulders.
"If the primordial mother herself wishes it, I can't refuse, sadly." He said in defeat.
"I know… But… I actually don't mind it being you, anyway." Rabeeder told him with a blush. She then went into monster mode before she used her giant hands to pick him up and bring her to her human half, where she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him square on the lips. Shiro was very surprised, but when he noticed how good it felt, he held her close as he returned her affection.
"You really wanna see what a Bakugan-human-Kaiju hybrid looks like, don't you?" Junior asked flatly as he looked at Gaia, who smirked at him.
"A woman's curiosity is often her most defining trait." The goddess chuckled.
As everyone took all this in, the primordial goddess then attempted to open a portal to Earth's core, but found that she was still too weak.
"Oh no…" She gasped lightly, before Tommy approached her and took her hand, his DNA link causing his eye to glow and share his power with her.
"Would you like a hand, milady?" He asked with a roguish smile.
"Oh my…" Gaia gasped with a small blush. "If you're going to be such a gentleman, then I would appreciate the help." She replied as she took his hand.
"My pleasure." The boy nodded courteously. His power then started flowing into the primordial mother, who took a deep breath before exhaling. Gaia then began focusing the energy Tommy was giving her, trying to open a portal to the core, and succeeded this time.
"The way is open. Drago, Waivern, time to go." She told them as she released the Daikaiju brawler's hand.
Dan and Joe looked at each other, before nodding.
"Let's get a picture with everyone first, this'll probably be the last time we do this." Dan suggested.
"Good idea." Joe nodded.
(Later)
After a few pictures were taken, Dan and Joe took their partners in hand and got ready.
"Goodbye Drago, see you next time!" Dan said. "Bakugan Brawl!" He added, throwing his partner through the portal.
'Take care, my friend.' Drago nodded as he flew towards the center of the Earth.
"I'll make sure to take care of Draconoid and Naganoid with the others, Waivern." Joe told his partner, kissing her ball form. "I'll miss you. Bakugan Brawl!" He added as he threw her through the portal.
'Thank you, Joe.' The albino Bakugan woman thought as she joined her mate on their path to the center of the world.
A few moments later, they exited the portal and they were now in the center of the world. While it was hot, it was nothing the two of them couldn't handle.
"Are you ready, Waivern?" Drago asked.
"Yes. Time to bring our two worlds together." Waivern nodded. The two then proceeded to the center of the space that was left during the merging of the worlds before the couple proceeded to fill it with a new core.
(Elsewhere)
Back on the surface, everyone watched as the sky returned to the bright and beautiful blue that everyone knew. The sight caused everyone to cheer while Gaia smiled.
"Now that that is done, I should address the next issue of the board." She said turning to the Kaiju.
"What would that be?" Mothra inquired.
"Due to certain elements that are present, all of the Kaiju and Daikaiju must depart for the time being." The goddess stated, much to Shiro, Zina and Tommy's disbelief.
"What?! Why?!" The green haired boy questioned on his, Zina's and Tommy's behalf.
"Simple: It's so that they may go to their non-Bakugan based bodies." Gaia replied casually, causing everyone to pause.
"... I forgot about that detail." Tommy said absently.
"So did I." Shiro nodded. With all that's happened, it was no wonder that they'd forgotten that the Kaiju were real.
"How long will we have to wait?" Zina asked.
"Quite a while. I don't have an exact estimate, but the children you all have will be in their teens by that point, if I'm right." Gaia replied as she ran some calculations through her head. "It all depends on several factors that are out of my control, I'm afraid." She added with a sigh.
"Well, at any rate, we'll all be pretty busy during that time." Dan shrugged as he held Runo close. "But it'll mostly be some of us getting married and getting our families started." He added with a grin as he gave his girlfriend a kiss.
"Right." Shun nodded as Alice held his arm, smiling all the while.
"But what are we gonna call the new world?" Julie wondered with a frown. "I doubt we can call it Earth or Vestroia anymore." She added, causing everyone to agree…. Except for Tommy.
"I think the answer is clear as day." The gray and red haired hybrid stated, getting everyone's attention. He then walked up to Gaia and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "We name it after the being that helped bring it together." He declared. Everyone mulled it over and, sure enough, it started growing on them.
"Planet Gaia…. Heh, that works perfectly." Shiro nodded with a chuckle.
"Yes. I think it does." Zina nodded as everyone gathered around.
"Now, it is time for the Kaiju and Daikaiju to depart." Gaia stated, causing Shiro, Zina and Tommy to look a little depressed at their partners leaving. "Don't worry, you three. You'll see them again, in time." She assured them.
"I'll miss you, Zilla." Zina sighed sadly as her partner began to glow.
"We'll find each other in the future. Don't worry." She told her partner before she vanished.
"Don't worry, Tommy. We'll find a way to meet up again." Gigan told the formerly masked brawler as he teared up slightly while he and the others glowed.
"Yeah, so smile at the fact we'll eventually be reunited." Destroyah added as she and the others said their goodbyes before vanishing. Tommy's tears still flowed, but the last words they shared with him were enough to make him smile anyway.
"I'll be waiting." He whispered.
Meanwhile, Shiro was sharing his last words with his partners as they glowed. He really didn't want them to leave, but the situation demanded it.
"It isn't all bad, Shiro. If I'm getting a new body, then odds are that dad probably did, too. We'll see each other again." Junior told him reassuringly.
"Yeah! We'll be in your life again before you know it!" Manda exclaimed, trying to cheer him up. The hybrid boy could only sigh.
"Take care of yourselves out there, guys." He told them before they vanished. Zina pulled him into a hug as their Kaiju partners took their leave for the time being.
As the Kaijugan disappeared in flashes of light, the many Bakugan in the area soon took their true forms in celebration of this momentous occasion.
"Alright, let's party!" Preyas cheered, trying to lighten the mood.
"Too soon, brother dear." Angelo sighed. "Too soon." Diablo added.
Everyone couldn't help but chuckle at the trio's antics… At least until a car suddenly sped up to the square before screeching to halt the center of the square.
The car was a purple Roadrunner with pristine polished chrome, a Looney Tunes Roadrunner hood ornament, and license plate that said "Fast Lane"
Then the driver stepped out. He had green hair, and purple eyes. However he was much older and had a much stronger build than his brother, being around 6'4" and was built the way he was due to years of playing football. He was wearing a sports jersey from the college he went to in America: Florida State.
It was Shiro's older brother, Hiro!
"Man! You would not believe the traffic out there!" The young man said as he stepped out of the car. "Everyone was driving like it's the apocalypse or something!" He continued before he turned around and saw the Bakugan, Gaia, and Shiro's harem with everyone standing around. "Uhh, did I miss something?" He asked as he scratched his head in confusion.
Shiro could only sigh as he knew what was up next: Telling his brother everything that had happened while he was gone.
"Come on, Hiro." He said as he went to his brother. "I'll explain everything later. Now though, we have a party to throw." He added as everyone cheered.
Dragon Emperor0: And that's it! That's the final chapter of this mammoth of a Bakugan fanfic. Everything is set up for the sequel, all the arcs and story beats are set to their conclusions, now all that leaves is the Epilog to tie up any remaining loose ends.
ThermalsniperN7: This has been one hell of a journey, and I'm not gonna lie: It was hella fun! Anyway, we finally managed to reveal our special guest from Greek mythology: The Primordial Mother herself, Gaia! And apparently she's not above being a mom when she wishes it.
Dragon Emperor0: And we also set up a few things that will become important for Gaia Rising. In particular, the whole "Monsters and other Pantheons" line Gaia coined wasn't just hot air. We're gonna be making arcs out of it. Any of you who read the comics: "Godzilla in Hell" and "Godzilla vs The Gods" will know exactly what I'm talking about.
ThermalsniperN7: The Vestals are not ready for the denizens of Gaia. Not even remotely. See you next time!
