Chapter 7

Mokuba takes a deep breath and calmly, and somewhat quietly, opens the front door and enters the grand hall; he leaves the door cracked, so Jono can hear him call for her to come inside. Everyone then turns and stares at him. They're all confused as to why a child is walking inside the castle without permission, elves began whispering to each other.

Noblewoman, "Where are his parents?" constant whispering.

Nobleman next to her, "Did he run away?" the whispering then turned in worried murmurs.

Mokuba stops in the middle of the hall and looks up at his father, he nearly started crying from seeing him on the throne, he looked like the spinning image of death itself. Mokuba knew he didn't have much time so he had to be quick about this but also very careful, seeing how extremely delicate the situation was at the moment. He takes another deep breath and pulls his hood off of his head, showing to everyone in the room who he was.

Everyone gasped, staring at him and pointing fingers, some not believing he was actually there. Lycus eyes shifted from shock to relief in the briefest of moments. "My son… my beautiful baby boy you're home!" He was so happy he was about to cry tears of joy, until he saw the determined look on Mokuba's face.

Mokuba made a dramatic pause before speaking, "I know that I shouldn't have left, and I know I made you guys worried, but I want you to understand that I just wanted to help."

Lycus carefully asks "Help?"

"I wanted to help you Dad. You're really sick and no one here has been able to make you better, so I decided to go find help elsewhere. And as it turns out I did find someone willing to help, a healer named Jono." Despite how steady his voice was, he was actually fearing for the worst to happen any second. "I want you to promise me nothing bad will happen to Jono, not only as my father but also as the Elven King."

Lycus sat in his throne with a contemplative look on his face, he had never heard of a healer named "Jono" and therefore doesn't want to trust someone he's never met, but seeing as how his son trusts them, then why not make a compromise. "I promise nothing shall harm Jono…" Mokuba sighed in relief "BUT…" Mokuba instantly tenses at the tone. "if Jono disobeys any laws or cause bodily harm to an innocent being, Jono will be punished accordingly. Does that sound fair?"

Mokuba nodded his head vigorously, smiling bright. "Jono, you can come in now."

The door opens and steps in a being with a long cloak with the hood on, nobody can even tell if this person was a girl or a boy. The figure walked slowly next to Mokuba, so not to seem like they were going to cause him harm. Mokuba smiles at the figure and then to his father.

Lycus nods to Mokuba, and then turns to the figure next to him, "If you don't mind, I would ask that you reveal yourself, you have nothing to worry about, nothing bad will happen to you as long as you obey our rules."

Jono nods and then begins to untie the knot in the front. Once completed, she unveils the reason for the cloak in the first place. Gasps and loud murmurs of horror and shock throughout the hall sound aloud instantaneously. Mokuba smiles nervously, but Jono seems to be completely okay with everyone around her. Jono then smiles at Mokuba and then turns toward the Elven King giving him the same reassuring smile. Slowly walks toward him and stops just before the steps to the throne, gets on her knees, hands in lap, and slowly bows her head to him. All the whispers and murmurs stop. The hall is completely silent, Jono then stands up and looks directly at Lycus, "It's nice to finally meet you good king, I've heard a bit about you from Mokuba here." Turns to Mokuba, who then relaxes and smiles back at her, she then turns back to the king. "From what I understand you are greatly ill are you not?"

"I am ill. I won't say I've been in the best conditions as of late." He confesses. "You're a nymph, am I correct?"

"That I am your highness. And to those who know me, I am also one of the best healers around." She says with confidence.

Lycus takes a cautious breath, "And what would a nymph have anything to do with my son? How did he come to meet you and trust you enough to come heal me, his father, also the Elven King?" He tried to keep his voice steady. He was not particularly happy that his son had brought a NYMPH into his kingdom, but his son also seemed to trust her, so in return he'll try to trust her as well.

Mokuba intervenes, "Actually we met because of certain circumstances…" his voice becoming quieter as he spoke, he didn't want his father to distrust Jono because of what had happened before with the other nymphs.

Lycus gives Jono an incredulous look, not even glancing at Mokuba as he spoke. "What kind of circumstances?" His voice on the break of rage. He knew that when Mokuba's voice becomes softer, there's something he doesn't want to say because he knows that it will infuriate him.

Jono tries to answer but then suddenly the doors to the right burst open. Everyone's attention shifted. Then a tall, chestnut brown hair, crystal blues elven man came into view. He was dressed in dark blues, his cape a snowy white, a long thin Celtic sword hangs on a belt to his side, his boots clicked as he walked to the throne, a determined expression on his face.

The king is surprised by the outburst. But the handsome man stood next to the king and spoke in an authoritative but worried tone, "You need to rest, you are too ill to take on the duties as a king is demanded of." His baritone voice actually surprised Jono, she expected a deep heavy voice from the man in front of her, she can usually guess by the way someone looks, body wise anyway, what their voices will sound like. If they're small in stature, she can expect a higher than normal pitch of a voice. But the man in front of her, he has a well-built body, he's tall, broad shoulders, long legs with defined calves (obviously he can run really fast), a small waist, giving him the perfect upside down triangle figure.

'He's the handsomest man I've ever met! My goodness, he's GOREGOUS.' Jono thought, but without her knowing she actually spoke the last word outloud.

Everyone then turned their eyes on Jono instead. The elven man turned around hearing the voice behind him and at what he saw, he froze.
