There behind him, was a NYMPH! AN ACTUAL NYMPH! She stood there in a brightly colored dress that the straps attach from the edge of the shoulders to her heart shaped front that covered her breasts completely (quite prominent ones at that) and the dress had layers in the colors of the rainbow starting from the color red and each layer was added from her left hip to the floor each adding a longer layer than the previous, just above the floor. Her shoes made of plain leather sandals that wrapped around her ankles. Her figure was an hourglass shape and her hair, a bright yellow color, like the sun itself (heh, see what I did there?), and from what he could see of it, it was long and thick as it wrapped around her face and neck. Her face held a blank expression, but her eyes. They were brown, but more of a dark honey, it was as if he was looking into liquid gold as her eyes shifted in surprise, curiosity, and attentiveness. There was NO doubt that this nymph was the most beautiful woman he had ever met, but here's the problem, she's a nymph.
He snapped out of his trance like state and grabbed for his sword and charged at her, sword drawn and aiming right at her.
Seeing what was happening, she jumped to the side, effectively dodging the blue eyed man. She was surprised but she was more concerned about being killed. She didn't want to have to use her powers against him, not knowing if it was even ALLOWED (elven laws that she doesn't know yet).
Seto then charged at her with his skills of a warrior and effectively made her trip and fall on her back, head banging against dark grey tile floor. Her hair loose and spread around her like a peacocks feathers.
For the first time in her life, she felt true fear of death. One second, she was promised to not be harmed and in the next, she was being held down by the weight of a man made of muscle and a sword at her neck.
He straddles her hips and presses his legs down on hers, so she can't use them to struggle. He takes his left hand and holds both of her wrists above her head, efficiently immobilizing her.
'I'm going to die, I'm REALLY going to die right now…' she thinks as fear strikes her heart at her dear friends who she won't be able to see again. Yugi, who was like a sister to her and her husband, Yami, like a dear brother as well; she's actually sadder than she is scared. And without her noticing, she actually begins to cry.
Seto froze at the sight of the small tears leaving her eyes and making their way down to her soft hair on the floor.
He tried to force his body to move, but he just couldn't harm her… he couldn't explain it, but he just COULDN'T move his sword on her neck, it would be so easy to slice and end her life, she was completely immobilized, she couldn't fight back. And then his thought changed… 'It's not that I CAN'T harm her… no… it's more like I won't harm her, she's important for some reason. I don't understand why I feel this way.' Confusion written across his face. His hand that was holding the sword shaking a little from the inward battle of the beholder.
Mokuba gets out of being shocked and then yells "NO BIG BROTHER DON'T HURT HER!" at the top of his lungs.
Said brother turns his attention on Mokuba, eyes widening in shock. "Mokuba…how… we've searched everywhere, we couldn't find you…"
"I left to find help in the other kingdom… And I did it! SHE is willing to help dad!" he said while pointing at the nymph. "You can hate me and ground me until I'm dead, but so help me, if you hurt her I'll NEVER FORGIVE YOU!" Determination set in his eyes as he fixated his gaze on Seto.
Everyone in the room grew quiet at the younger prince's threat.
Then, Jono laughs. Everyone stares at her. Once her laugh slows to little giggles, she turns her head to Mokuba and smiles at him and speaks in a staggering jumble "I-I guess it turns out…*giggles* you r-really are…*giggles* my hero!"
Mokuba then laughs at remembering back at Yugi's house.
Seeing his brother laugh along with the nymph in a familiarity manner, made him asks "Nymph?"
She then turns her head to him, looking him in the eyes. "Yes?"
"Mokuba says you're here to help our father get better?"
She nods her head, feeling it better to not speak.
He squints his eyes "Alright, that's perfectly fine, but how do I know that you're not here for something else." Subliminally getting his message across with his tone.
Mokuba yells out "Jono isn't like that!"
"How long have you known her?" he asks inquisitively.
"Long enough to judge her character and know that she's a good person!" he answers back.
"You're still a child Mokuba, you're too young and naïve to understand the difference of a person's character and a fake."
"No I'm not! She proved that she's a good person!"
"Oh is that so, how did she prove that?"
"SHE SAVED MY LIFE!" he yelled, his eyes tightly shut.
Confusion and anger filled him at what he just heard, "Wha…?"
"There were these older nymphs and… when they saw me, they began attacking me. They didn't stop no matter how many times I asked them too. They said I deserved to die because I was an elf. And then Jono came along…" He pauses to look at her and then begins to smile at the memory. "She threatened to beat them to a pulp if they didn't leave me alone. They left and I asked her why she defended me. You know what she told me? 'Well because I don't look at 'what' people are, I look at 'who' they are first.'… So she has proven that she's a good person. So I'm asking you to trust me about Jono and to not hurt her. Please?"
Seto thinks about it for a bit and then gets off of Jono and puts his sword in his sheath. He looks at Jono, "I will trust my brother on this, I thank you for saving his life but that doesn't mean I trust YOU. Try ANYTHING to harm anyone here and I'll personally see to your execution."
Jono blink but then smiles at him. "That's all I could hope for."
Seto holds his hand out to her. 'Even if she's a nymph, she's still a lady.'
Jono takes his hand and is lifted off the floor and on her feet. She squeezes his hand reassuringly.
Little did either of them know, that simple jesture led to the blooming trust that was forming and will probably turn to something more.
