Hey guys, I'm on a roll with these chapters, THANKS SOOOO MUCH FOR THE REVIEWS! They make me really happy that you guys like my story so far. I hope you guys continue to like my story until it's finished. Let's see what happens next...
They entire royal elven family had to giggle at the scene before them. There on a California king size bed lied both Seto and Jono. They lied directly in the middle, Seto lied on his right side while Jono was snuggled right up against him, head laying on his right shoulder. His left arm wrapped tightly around her waist; they were pretty sure that if they even TRIED to remove Jono from him, it would be impossible. (I mean he IS the future king, he not only trained his mind, but his body to handle it, so DUH! Lol)
"Let's let them rest for a while, they've both been through a lot today." Queen Mikuro stated still giggling a little.
King Lycus nodded, "Of course, it's not every day that a nymph comes along to risk her life, and seeing someone use their own life-source to heal another."
Mokuba jumped up and down with glee. "Oh, I'm so EXCITED" He whispered loudly. "I can't wait until they wake up and then I can question my brother ALL day about how he feels about Jono."
Lycus and Mikuro both laugh at their son's antics. They watched them for a minute or two and then decided to leave them alone to get some quality rest. Seeing it better fit to start the celebrations for the young nymph for saving the king's life as soon as possible. News travels fast and neither was the wiser on what was to come soon after it reached a certain individual's ears.
~At the Nymph kingdom~
An old mage approached the steps to the king adviser's rooms slowly, carefully so as to not attract any unwanted attention. Knowing that bringing the news to his lord would be devastating. He knocked once and waited patiently for the door to open. He almost fell over when the door finally opened to reveal Lord Zopyros, draped in his disheveled bed robes, revealing a bit of his toned abs and chest, with a scornful expression. Hate pouring from his deep green eyes, his dark, deep voiced laced with malice as he spoke. "What could you possibly want? Do you understand that it's the middle of the night?"
The old mage recoiled slightly due to the tone, but remained stood where he was, determined to speak with the lord about the important matter at hand. "Forgive me my lord! Under any other circumstance, I would've waited until morning, but as it stands this holds the utmost priority and must be dealt with as soon as possible." His raspy voice croaked urgently.
Lord Zopyros' eyes shift from scornful to baffled-concerning haze. The lord immediately stepped aside to allow the old mage into his room and shut the door as quietly as possible and locked it. "Put a silencing spell around this room at once!"
"I already did when you opened the door, my lord, wouldn't want any outside ears listening in." Feeling proud of himself for thinking ahead.
The lord sighed, relieved, "Good work." he turns and sits on his bed and motions for the mage to take the chair at his desk. "Take a seat, we obviously have much to discuss for you to come this late."
The mage grabs the chair and places it in front of the lord. As soon as he sits he presses his staff to the floor, creating a small circular portal portraying the Elven king emerging from his castle. "The Elven king has miraculously broke the curse we put on him."
Zopyros stares at the portal with utmost shock. "This can't be possible! Elves don't have the ability to self heal with inner magic! Explain Clive!" Going from baffled to anger within seconds.
"Of course, my lord. What you say is true, elves don't have the ability to self heal but this was a curse not an illness. If it was an actual illness, they would've been able to find a potion to rectify it. There are two possibilities for this outcome."
The king's brother nods in understanding. "Go on."
Clive clears his throat. " The first possibility is that the king's will was stronger and fought through the curse, said curse was then expelled from the king's body..."
Zopyros glares at the ground and then at Clive cutting him off from continuing, "That is true, but you told me specifically that this was the strongest curse to place on a single person and that even the spell-caster themselves has a hard time breaking it."
Clive replies reassuringly, "It IS the strongest, I did not lie to you my lord. However, we have yet to discuss the alternate possibility." The younger nods for the other to continue. "As I was saying, the only other way the curse could have been expelled is if a nymph had done the healing and dragged the curse from the king's body by shear force of will, most likely dying in the process." (this mage knows his stuff, he doesn't quite know how ALMOST right he is... lol)
"Impossible!" He scoffs. "Why would a nymph go so far to risk their life so save the enemy king?! Just the thought alone is laughable." He chuckles darkly. Easier to believe that the curse wasn't as strong as the mage described, reasoning that the Elven King's will was stronger than anticipated.
"We have to consider the prospect of some nymphs who don't think of the elves as our enemy despite the war. Not every person in either kingdoms can possibly agree with their side's views, no questions asked. That's like asking every person to never make mistakes, it's simply impossible." He explained, hoping to retrieve the lord's reasoning side.
Zopyros pauses and thinks for a few seconds. 'Shit, he's right, there can't be that many of them who think that way, so we can just send a few mercenaries to gather information throughout the kingdom to find out which one's who don't fully believe into the cause and most likely bring them in for questioning. We need to make sure that if it came down to it, they would be loyal to their rightful king.' He ruffled his disheveled dirty blonde hair and sighed. "So what do you propose to do? We obviously can't cast another curse in the royal family again, since we can't count on our own people from not betraying us to go help them."
"Let's place a sickness in the land itself. The sickness will affect both the crops and the people; that way, no single nymph can even hope to help without losing their own life in the process. It's not very probable that more than one nymph at a time will be willing to help for fear of losing their home and be labeled a traitor to their own country. We should set out a warning to the kingdom of the risks involved for aiding the elves in ANY way."
The smirk could cause nightmares to an average person. "Excellent idea Clive, I'll speak to my brother and convince him that the announcement is a good idea. It shouldn't be too hard, since I convinced him that the elves took his precious daughter. You do what ever you have to do to accomplish the rest." (AHH! Evil guy doing evil things! Sorry guys, I'm a dork.)
"With pleasure my lord." He gets up and places the chair back to the desk and bows his head and then leaves the room with a quick haste. The slight clicking of his staff as he walks echoes throughout the halls of the castle.
~The next day at the Elven Castle~
Seto's crystal blue eyes flutter open as he comes back to conscientiousness, feeling mostly stiff from laying in the same position for a long time. Once his eyes fully adjusted to the morning light peering from the left-side window, he notices golden blonde hair glow in the soft light. 'So beautiful, it's as if I'm looking at liquid gold shimmering in the sun's light...' a small smile appears on his face. His eyes widen in shock, realization burst through his entire body. He immediately looked down and saw Jono curled up asleep next to him. He can feel his left arm around her and he tries to remove it slowly and carefully to not wake her up. Still reeling his thoughts from last time. Memories come one by one, he closes his eyes and smiles.
Jono at that point starts to wake up, slowly blinking and yawning. "Hmm...?"
Seto snaps his attention back to the nymph, eyes popping open in surprise. 'Shit, what should I do? I saved her life but I felt like I had to since she saved both my brother and my father's life.'
She rubs her eyes and looks directly at Seto and softly smiles (keep in mind she's not fully awake) "Eyes...so pretty..." she places her right hand on his face, "when they don't...have hatred or...anger in them." her soft voice ringing in his ears, words barely registering in the prince's mind. "Do...do you hate me?" Her eyes furrowing in concern.
He blinks a couple times before finally responding in a soothing resounding voice, "No, I don't hate you." Giving a reassuring smile.
She beams, "That makes me so happy." flashing her biggest sleepy smile before placing both of her hands on his face and pull herself up to kiss him on the forehead. He blushes bright red. And then she moves even closer, forcing him to lay on his back. She then proceeds to lay on his right shoulder, her right hand laid on top of his chest, and then falls back into deep sleep.
'So much for getting up without waking her up...' he sighs inwardly. 'I guess I can afford to sleep a bit more.' he then shortly falls back into a wakeless slumber.
