ORRAAAAAA! BREAKING OUT OF THIS WRITER'S BLOCK!

Actually walking into the dormitory was a more difficult hurdle than Izuku had expected. Setsuna immediately after hearing the story of how he had copied Ibara's quirk had launched into brainstorming a new nickname for him.

"Bushtop? Palmtop? Vine Time? Palm Leaves? Fernie? Frondy? Viney? Parsley? Parsley Head?"

Which had only made him bow and beg for Ibara to to forgive him again for copying her quirk. All of the insecurities and anxiety he had pushed down for today creeped up from the pit of his stomach, up his spine and into his brain like centipedes. He was going to be in a confined space with people he had never met before! What if they reacted badly to him copying their quirks? Could he escape and truly avoid copying their quirks by accident?

Setsuna had seemed to see how sorry he truly was because she had stopped sounding out names and had jumped to his defense - reminding him that he had improved his control over his quirk over the last few months. Fortunately, Ibara seemed to take it all in a good natured stride.

Ibara praised his quirk, again stating how much she had been happy to share the blessing of her own quirk with him.

There was a conviction in her eyes that had made Izuku pause for a moment but had miraculously done the trick in calming him down.

The moving truck had opened up and a small horde of robots appeared out of nowhere to pick up his and Ibara's belongings and disappear in what looked like a service entrance into the dormitory ("UA is all kinds of extra'' Setsuna had remarked.). With that being taken care of they had decided now was as good a time as any to go inside. Walking up the short flight of steps to the front entrance Izuku had gone first, holding his breath as he pushed open the door to be confronted with-

"HEY THERE! Welcome to UA, Newbies!" shouted the smiling mouth attached to an older girl's face with long periwinkle hair.

"T-too close!" Izuku yelped, stumbling back and tripping over his own feet. Without really thinking he activated Ibara's quirk, the vines in his hair shot out like whips, wrapping around the other door, the second story ledge, and a lamp post to suspend his body enough to fall flat on his back.

"Hey, hey, hey! A little warning next time, the both of you?!" Setsuna griped, half of her body floating in the air to the side of a set of vines that had shot in her direction and had wrapped themselves on the ledge. Her glare though was more focused on the older girl who had just appeared right in front of him.

"Whaaaat? The quirk registry didn't say anything about a boy with a vine mutation quirk? Oh wow you were all like 'THWIP!' with those vines! Did you consciously do that or was it instinct?" the girl's mouth spat out words at a rapid fire rate, pulling himself slowly back onto his feet he realized she was actually floating in the air. She looked to the side and saw Ibara, letting out an overexcited GASP of surprise she pointed at Ibara's head then Izuku's then back to Ibara's and finally resting back on Izuku's "Oh! Oh! OH! I know who you are! You're the one-"

Whatever she was about to say was muffled as a hand seemed to phase through her body and then solidify as it clamped shut on her mouth.

"We are supposed to be welcoming to UA!" a very tall, smiling boy with bright blonde hair and an almost blinding smile said as he appeared behind the girl, "So let me do that right now! Welcome to UA! I'm the Co-Resident Assistant, Mirio Togata or you can call me by my hero name!"

He struck a pose, the girl now stuffed underneath his armpit, with one hand extending out before hooking back with a thumb pointing at himself, "Lemillion!"

"We're BOTH your Third-Year Co-Resident Assistants!" the girl chirped as she managed to squeeze herself out of Togata's grip, beaming as she held up two victory signs with her fingers, "I'm Nejire Hado! Though you can call me Nejire Chan, my little kouhai!"

Honestly it felt like there should have been theme music playing as they introduced themselves.

"N-nice to meet y-you?" Izuku said, smiling shakily, "I-I'm sorry about my, uh, reaction. I, uh, g-get nervous when people crowd me…"

"Oh, no! I'm so-so-so sorry!" Nejire frowned, hanging her arms and head - the color seemed to drain out of the air around, "I just got so excited to see all the new students and quirks!" she perked up after a moment, her face beaming again, "I know! I'll make it up to you! On my honor as a Hero-In-Training!"

Izuku was starting to have doubts about surviving his time at UA, but fortunately again Setsuna came to his rescue.

"Sure. Sure. How about you start by letting us get inside the actual building?" Setsuna pointed to the dormitory, both Togata and Nejire glanced back at the building and flinched as if it had snuck up on them. Ibara coughed gently.

"Yes, please, let us go inside. Idle hands can only lead to evil and villainy after all."

"Hah! That's right! We still have to get you signed in!" Togata smiled as he laughed before he took Nejire's hand and pulled her inside as if she was a child's balloon, "Right this way!"

The common room that the entrance opened into...was not as claustrophobic as Izuku had been fearing inside of his head. It was a very large space, one side toward the front of the building had couches and tables which looked like it would be where students could hang out or study. To the opposite side was an open kitchen which had multiple refrigerators, ovens, and cabinets. There were several dining tables off to the side as well - all in all more than enough space to accommodate two large classes. Further back into the dormitory he saw three hallways, each one leading off in different directions - signs covered in glitter and with large exaggerated letters (which Izuku suspected had been made by Nejire) labeled each hall as "Boys' West. Boys' East. Girls' North Aka the Best".

There were a couple of his future classmates milling about, mostly disappearing in and out of the different hallways. A boy with yellow hair and lightning shaped streak seemed to be chatting non-stop with a boy with two-toned hair who looked disinterested in whatever the other boy was saying. A floating set of clothes was wiggling in the air, a girl's voice chattering on, as a girl with horns looked confused by what the other girl was saying. A familiar looking boy with multiple arms carried a box down one hallway and out of sight. If that was who Izuku thought it was he needed to apologize to him too for copying his quirk!

"Alrighty! What's your name? That way I can let you know what your room number is!" Nejire asked as she dropped to her feet behind a small table that had been set up close to the front door. Glancing down at it he saw the familiar characters for both Itsuka's and Tsu's names - both had already checked into their rooms.

"Izuku Midoriya." he said quickly after Setsuna nudged him forward. Oddly, Nejire seemed to smile wider, shooting Togata what looked like a knowing smile before she crossed out his name on the paper.

"Your room is going to be Boy's West 4! Or B-4! You're Tamaki's little kouhai!" Nejire wiggled in place some more.

"There's a third Resident Assistant?" Setsuna asked, she peered around.

"Oh yea! He gets nervous meeting people. Talking to people. Having people look at him or acknowledge him in any way!" Nejire beamed, before she pointed her marker at Izuku, "In fact! He's been hiding behind the door this entire time!"

A voice from behind Izuku groaned in anguish.

"Nejire...why…? Why have you betrayed me?" that same voice said, sounding almost like the owner had been seriously wounded. Izuku, Setsuna and Ibara made to turn and look but the voice quickly barked at them, all three of them froze in their tracks, "No! Don't turn around...I just need the time. I just need to mentally prepare myself for introductions. Just ignore me for now."

"Ahaha! Don't worry about it! Why don't you go unpack?" Togata continued on as if nothing about the situation was strange at all, "He'll be by your room later to collect your hallway for introductions later!"

The thought of having to be forced into even a room like this with so many new people made Izuku's gut churn but he forced it down.

He had one thought that as long as he focused on it would make it bearable.

He was finally here where he was going to learn how to be a hero.. He was finally at UA!
