Hiiiiiiiiiii. So, I'm gonna finally do a prompt that's been suggested for a while. Also, a lot of things are going to be changed for the sake of my ideas, so if there is anything that is different from the cannon, just realize it's there for the sake of the plot.

Please continue leaving prompts for me!

I don't even know if people still follow this story.

Anyways-

Prompt: I have an inquiry. Could you write a scene in which Zane and Kai form a group instead of Zane and Cole. (Episode: "Can of Worms")

By: Somebody(Guest)

I'll just do the whole episode, cause I feel like you'd be happier with that.

Warning: There is some profanity in this. If you're uncomfortable with that, you might want to skip this chapter.

After having never used technology before joining the ninja team, it surprised Kai how much he liked playing video games. The whole thing was unfamiliar to him, but when the other three had found a video game called "Fist to Face 2" and it turned out to be pretty violent, Kai couldn't keep himself from wanting to play it. As the game started to load, he heard someone whistling and then walk into the room.

"Hey, Kai!" It was Lloyd. How annoying.

"Ha. Saw Zane beat your high score. It was pretty spectacular."

This little shit. "Uh, you must be talking about Sitar Legend. This is Fist to Face 2. No one beats me on my game."

"Huh. Could be wrong. See ya!" Lloyd walks away, whistling as he went.

Kai went and looked at the high score log. It clearly showed that Zane had beaten his record of 7,277. That's fucking rich. I'm going to make sure he cries like a little bitch. "ZANE!"

Zane quickly put up his laundry dry as soon as he heard whistling. He feared it was his sensei checking up on him. He had been lazy most of the morning and hadn't finished his chores yet. However, he calmed down when he saw it was only Lloyd walking by, whistling. The fact that it was Lloyd, worried Zane slightly. Lloyd rarely went anywhere near him, preferring the company of his uncle or to just be on his own.

"Hello, Lloyd. What brings you up here this fine morning?"

"Kai wanted me to pick up his ninja suit. He said he threw it in with your whites. Here it is. Thanks."

That in itself was very odd. From the little he could pick up from Kai and his sister, was that they had a difficult childhood. Kai had always preferred to do his own laundry, despite Zane offering to do it for him as often as possible. When Zane asked why he would never accept, he received a vague explanation. It had concerned him, either way.

"Look, Zane. I've had to fend for myself and Nya since I was eight. I didn't have much privacy, and this one of the few things that calms me down. Just drop it, okay?"

Nevertheless, Zane went to go and confront Kai about his now pink ninja gi.

As Zane got down to where he could see the other three ninja arguing, he felt the temperature rise a substantial amount. He found the source to be Kai, waiting for him to come down. Heat was radiating from his body, but Jay and Cole didn't notice in their argument. But, why was Kai angry at him?

"You motherfucker. I'm going to make you fucking sorry for this."

That's the problem. Everyone knew Kai didn't exactly... Excel at his training. He also didn't succeed at a lot of things, but the thing he found peace in that he was good at was what was deemed as "Kai's game." He never got angry like this unless someone tried to hurt his sister, or someone beat his high score.

And apparently Zane was the scapegoat. Which made him upset because he liked Kai. Sure, there was the obvious anger issues, but he was obviously attractive, no doubt about it. Despite the growing crush on the master of fire, he wouldn't let what he had done to him go unpunished.

Zane lifted up his pink ninja gi and with startlingly angry voice said, "How am I supposed to strike fear in this? It's pink! I have no idea what you're angry at me for but-"

Wu walked in at this moment and opened the bathroom door to reveal a laughing Lloyd. He was carrying a bag with spices tools and detergent, all used to ruin the ninja's things.

"You did this?" The ninja said together, Kai using more colorful language to describe his discontent.

"Boys, I got first dibs on-"

"No dibs. I put him up to this for today's lesson. I wanted to show you the destructive power of rumors and that jumping to conclusions can only lead to trouble. Did you ever think to find out if the accusations were true?" Wu interrupted Cole as he was about to go and punish Lloyd in some way.

"Uh, no offense, Sensei, but let me jump to this conclusion: today's lesson is lame." Cole responded with his arms folded.

"Yeah, why can't you just teach us to paralyze your enemy with one finger, or find out if a man is lying by the twitch of his nose?" Kai rolled his eyes at Jay's point, but silently agreed to the claim.

"Because not all lesson are about fighting. And I misplaced my lesson book." Wu scratched the back of his head, glancing at his- the teenagers in front of him.

"You mean the lesson book I can clearly see in Lloyd's back pocket?" Kai grabbed the papers and gave it to Wu.

"It was the perfect plan until you have to show up and mess everything up-"

"Yeah, whatever." Kai slammed the bathroom door closed in Lloyd's face.

"If you guys are done fooling around already, I need you guys on the bridge. We have have snake problem to attend to. Over and out!" Nya called on the loud speaker.

"You know at first I was kinda pissed Nya had to stay here, but now, I am pissed. I mean, shouldn't she train as a ninja, too? I've spent my whole life protecting her, and now I'm never around to actually do it. If someone doesn't start teaching her some self-defense soon, she's gonna do something crazy and get herself hurt. Also, why the hell are we still letting this gremlin of a child live here? It's one thing to have my sister living here, but son of the enemy?" The temperature rose a few more degrees during Kai's angry rant.

"Hey!"

"Kai, this speaker works two ways. I don't know whether I should be insulted or not. Over and out!" Kai groaned and slapped a hand to his face in embarrassment.

Nya immediately began her explanation as the ninja entered the bridge. "Last we heard of Pythor, he stole the Map of Dens from Lloyd and is now on his way to open the last two Serpentine tombs."

"Don't remind me!" Lloyd complained.

Kai opened his mouth for a retort, but was startled out of his anger when Zane put a hand on his shoulder and shook his head. A slight blush worked its way onto Kai's face, before he pushed Zane away from him.

I ship it. Nya thought to herself.

"Pythor's our most dangerous threat. If he finds those tombs before we do, with his intellect and all four tribes unleashed, there's no telling what he'll do." Wu sighed and turned to the ninja.

"But those tombs could be anywhere! Without it we might as well throw darts at a map." Jay shifted nervously.

"Good idea. Why don't we?" Nya throws two darts at a map. " These are the two locations of the Hypnobrai and Fangpyre tombs."

"See? She'd be great with some kunais or shurikans, like Zane." Kai mumbled. Wu sighed again. Nya smiled at the support.

"And this is Pythor's tomb," Another dart. " After a few hours of looking over the map and thinking about why the tombs were placed in those specific places, I realized that it starts to form the Ninjago symbol for serpent."

"So the last two tombs must be here and here! Ah, you're so smart." Jay swooned.

"Was there ever any doubt?" Nya flirted.

"If I ever see the two of you together and alone without any tools for building in front of you, one person is going to die, Jay." Kai stepped toward Jay. He squeaked and hid behind Cole.

"There is little time for this. Zane and Kai, you will head to the Constrictai Tomb. Take this and use it if you meet Pythor. Cole and Jay you will got to the Venemari Tomb. Good luck, ninja." With that, Wu started to leave the bridge.

"What about me? What am I going to do?" Nya asked hopefully.

"Yeah, what are we gonna do?" Lloyd followed Nya's lead.

"Nya, I need you here to make sure Lloyd doesn't get into any more trouble."

"Yes, sensei." Nya replied obviously annoyed. Kai put a hand on her shoulder.

"You'll get your chance."

"Let's go boys, we've got some snakes to club." Cole grinned.

"Never speak again." Kai smiled threateningly.

Wu sighs yet again. "Where are you Pythor? What are you up to?"

Kai and Zane drive to the base of the Mountain of A Million Steps. Zane looks at his pink gi and groans in humiliation.

"Get over it, strawberry shortcake. Our vehicles won't drive up the steps. It'll just cause damage." Kai hissed.

"Then what do you suggest we do?" Zane snapped back. "We are a team in this one, if you could not have anger issues for a few hours, then that would be great."

"Well, Zane, If you didn't feel the ned to talk all the goddamn time, I would've been able to say that you could freeze the steps so that it's more like a ramp and we could use my motorcycle to ride up it. The only problem with that is that it'll all melt as soon as we get up there and we'll have to refreeze on our way down." Kai retorted. "And keep you stupid voice down, would you? We have no idea how many snakes there are here."

"Oh, right, of course." Zane lowered his voice to match Kai's. "That is a great plan. You are smarter than I thought."

"Whatever. Get your shurikens out and get on my bike." Kai ordered as he got back on his own vehicle.

Zane sat behind Kai and wrapped one of his arms around his torso and held the other out to the side to cast the ice up the steps. When they started moving up, Zane held on much tighter, not realizing how fast the motorcycle actually went.

"Am I holding on too tight?" Zane asked as quietly as he could.

Kai laughed. "When I was eight, I had to start taking care of my six year old sister. I'm no stranger to being held onto so tight i can barely breathe."

After a few minutes of driving, they finally get to the entrance of the tomb. Only, it isn't closed as they expected it to be.

"Looks like Pythor was already here. Perhaps we should investigate." Zane entered the tomb.

"Ya think? What are you doing? There's probably still snakes in there! And people call me careless." Kai grumbled to himself.

They see large images drawn over the wall. Almost like hieroglyphics.

"Is this, like, some sort of legend?"

"You are correct, Kai. This describes how one tribe of snakes will unite them all." Zane explained.

"Dude, they've been at war centuries, right? Why the fuck would any of the tribes unite?" Kai faltered slightly, already knowing he wouldn't like the answer.

"Well, it says here, that once they unite, they can find Four Silver Fangblades that will unleash the Great Devourer, an evil that will consume all land. It will turn night into day." Zane swallowed nervously. "I am deeply concerned by this. If Pythor isn't here and unites all the tribes before Cole and Jay can find him-"

"Hey! Don't think like that. Pythor won't be able to unite the tribes easily. All of them were locked away by humans, sure, but that isn't going to take centuries of built up grudges against each other. Either way, Pythor isn't here. We should go and find Cole and Jay. If my hunch is correct, Pythor probably already freed the Venemari." Kai interrupted Zane, in a rare moment of comfort.

"Oh, don't leave yet. I've been waiting. Pythor sends his regards." Skalidor leered as he grabbed Zane.

"You stayed behind just to tell us that? Pathetic." Zane snapped.

Before Skalidor could say anything else, Kai used his sword and stabbed him in the arm.

"Kai!"

"What?"

Kai began to play the flute, but Skalidor started to choke him, causing the snake's blood to get all over his gi.

"Z-Zane!" Is all that Kai could wheeze out.

"Ninja, go!" Zane yelled out, before he started to play the flute.

The snake began screaming and retreating to get as far away from the sound as possible.

"S-seriously? N-ninja go? Just p-play the damn f-flute." Kai choked out.

"I did not realize you were being choked that badly. You need to get to the infirmary to check for damage!" Zane admonished.

"N-no t-time. Cole and J-Jay are prob-probably in t-trouble." Kai trembled slightly as he spoke.

"Alright, but you need a medical check up right after."

"F-fine."

"I've never fought little people before! We're toast!" Cole shuddered and covered his head.

Kai and Zane ran out of the latter's vehicle. Zane insisted Kai ride in his ice tank to keep Kai from further damaging himself.

A laugh comes from behind the Venemari. It's Pythor. "Boo!"

"Ah! It's fucking Pythor! What the hell?" Jay screamed.

Zane pulled out the flute and before he could play anything, Pythor took it out of his hands.

"Let's not let music ruin things, hm?" The ninja jump away from him, onto a log. Kai practically dragging Cole. "Oh, dear. I have sinking feeling this is the last I'll see of you four!" He laughed again.

"Y-you know, s-snakes used to b-be m-my fa-favorite animal." Kai coughed into his arm.

"Jesus, what happened to Kai?" Jay asked worridly.

"Look, a magic floating rope! We'll climb to safety!" Cole stepped forward, but was stopped by Jay.

"What happened to Cole?" Zane pointed out.

"Y-you guys w-weren't t-too bad."

"It was an honor to fight by your sides for the little time we had."

Just then, an actual rope dangled in front of them.

"The magic rope!" Cole laughed.

The ninja used the rope and began fighting the serpentine, Kai and Cole doing less, but still helping as much as possible.

"Oh, dear." Pythor complains.

The mysterious flying suit comes into view. "Pythor target confirmed. Time to bag and tag."

Pythor starts to leave as soon as possible, before he was hit with a dart from the samurai.

"Wh-who the h-hell a-are you?"

"Kai, you should stop talking for the moment. Thank you for saving us, mysterious samurai warrior."

"That was so cool!"

"Santa?"

Samurai X renders them completely unconscious before leaving. The bounty flies down and lands to pick up the ninja.

"So then, just when we were gonna bite it, this huge mechanical robot-"

"Samurai. It was a samurai." Zan interrupted Jay's tirade.

"What's that?" Lloyd took a bit of his food and looked over at his uncle.

"The samurai are the highest level of warrior class. They would protect nobility and serve with honor on the battlefield." Wu smiled slightly at Lloyd.

"He was like, hundreds of miles tall! Weapons were everywhere," Cole looked over at his sensei before whispering to Kai, " Look at his beard. It's a snake."

"Sh-shut up. Th-this better w-wear off soon." Kai grumbled. He coughed into his arm, making him wheeze in pain.

Zane looked at Kai sympathetically before speaking again. "We should not let this samurai overshadow what is more important at the moment. All the serpentine are out and if Pythor unites them all, the legend of the Great Devourer may come true."

"Great Devour-er?" Nya pondered over the name.

"Wh-whatever th-the h-hell it i-is, it's a c-can a' w-worms I don't w-wanna o-open." Kai looked slightly fearful, and that in itself made all the ninja slightly more nervous than before.

"Kai, stop talking. You need to be able to heal your throat. Zane said you were only choked for a few second, but the Constrictai are strong. Any longer and you would probably be dead." Nya was near tears as she explained this to Kai.

His expression softened and he tapped the table a few times, using morse code to talk.

"He knows morse code?" Jay asked in surprise.

"Yeah, we had to use it a lot when we were kids. I guess it's useful now." Nya smiled sadly. "I just wish we were using it to talk at night so that our parents wouldn't know that we're wake instead of using it as a way to communicate without getting injured more."

"Sorry for interrupting this really sad moment, but I jsut feel really terrible for opening that first tomb. I'm sorry." Lloyd pointed out.

"We cannot change the past, we can only affect the future. At least we have the last Sacred Flute in our possession, so-"

"Yeah. Uhm, about that." Jay trailed off.

"Pythor sort of stole it." Zane added in hesitation.

"The last Sacred Flute gone?" Wu sighed in disappointment. "You four are Ninjago's last hope."

The alarm sounded throughout the bounty.

"Cold vision must have caught something. That means the Serpentine are near."

"Oh, god. Ninjago City?" Cole hopped up.

"How many of them are there?" Fretted Jay.

Looks like all of them. Kai tapped.

"What?" Jay asked.

"A-all o-of them."

"Pythor must be trying to unite them." Zane ordered.

"Go. You mustn't let the tribes unite."

The four of them run out of the room and use their spinjitzu to put on their gi's.

Zane groaned again at his pink gi. "I must get this taken care of."

Cole continues spinning and falls over from the effects of the Venemari venom.

"Don't worry buddy. It'll wear off soon. For now, you're coming with.

The ninja jump off the bounty and summon their vehicles on the way down. Jay and Zane whooping in delight, and Cole screaming on the way down.

"Wow. N-Ningago C-City." Kai swore in amazement.

"It's amazing." Zane added.

"A-always heard stories o-of th-this place."

"The biggest city in all of Ninjago. I've always wanted to come here." Jay praised.

"Yeah, I always dreamed I'd be on billboard here." Cole chuckled in embarrassment.

"S-same."

"Uh, but may i remind you where are the snakes? We should be standing in the middle of a massive Serpentine gathering." Zane reminded them.

They walk over to a manhole. They quickly jumped down and hid as high as they could.

As Pythor is getting ready to address all the tribes, the Serpentine talk with each other.

"You will have to use more than words to bring all the Serpentine together, Pythor." Skales divulged.

"All I have to do is show them the way." Pythor smirked.

Acidicus slithered in. "They're ready for you, Pythor."

"Ah. Showtime. Friends, enemies, and enemies who pretend to be friends," A bout of laughter sounded in the sewers. "I welcome you."

Cole glared at the population beneath them. "That's a lot of snakes."

Jay shivered. "What are we gonna do?"

"I-I have a-an i-idea. F-follow m-my lead." Kai muffled his coughs as best he could.

"I would not suggest-"

"And what is with the Constrictai and their vice-like grip? Let it go already!" Another round of laughter.

"It's funny because it's so true!"

"Heh, but in all seriousness, the reason why I called this gathering is because...the good people of Ninjago imprisoned us in those insidious tombs, and I want to return them the favor."

They all cheered, and didn't notice Kai and the other ninja sliding down on ropes.

"S-sounds great! B-but you know th-the Hyp-Hypnobri will s-screw it up!" Kai taunted, trying to keep himself from stuttering.

"Who said that?"

"Those buck teeth can bite my ass!" Jay leered.

"Huh?"

"I bet they're drinking their own venom!" Cole couldn't help but laugh at the thought.

"All that digging must give them dirt for brains!" Was the final taunt that made them all begin fighting with each other.

Pythor growled. "What's happening? Why am I losing them?"

Skales sees Kai, coughing roughly and barely keeping his hold on the rope. "Ninja! Don't worry, I'll take care of it!" Three Constrictai pop up and grab Kai, Jay and Cole. They all hold the ninja's necks in their hand, giving the threat if they try and move.

Zane runs from the rest of the snakes and finds a Sitar Legends poster that he'll blend in with. The Constrictai trying to find him leaves and goes back to where the other ninja were held,

Pythor glowered Skales. "Did you get all of them?"

Skales hissed back. "All but one."

"Search every nook and cranny. If he's a ninja, you'll never find him in plain sight."

One of the snakes looks up. "Look! A pink ninja!" The Constrictai holding the others loosened their grips slightly, allowing Kai, Jay, and Cole to knock them unconscious.

"Go, Pink Ninja, go!"

Zane threw his back and groaned. "Let's get out of here. Ninja, go!"

"C-could you s-stop with the n-ninja g-go a-already?"

"Kai, I am so sorry. Are you feeling better?" Zane asked as he checked Kai's throat to see of the bruises were still there.

"D-dude. I'm fine now. J-just a little sore." Kai blushed slightly.

"I still don't want you speaking until you are not in any more pain."

"A-alright. I should probably t-talk to my sister, though. She'll be w-worried." Kai swallowed coughed a few times before heading off to see Nya.

Jay looked over at Zane and laughed at his red face. "Dude, you are so crushing on Kai!"

Zane blushed even more. "I am not!"

"You know he's crushing on you, too. Right?" Cole chimed in.

Lloyd walked in. "I had a feeling you guys are talking about Kai and Zane's obvious crush on each other."

"Kai is not concerned with being in a relationship. From what I can tell, he's spent most of his life taking care of his sister. I think he'd rather figure out how to be regular teenager than to go on a date with me."

"Sure, dude."

"A match made in heaven!"

"I know for a fact that Nya ships it!"

Zane buried his head in his hands and listened as they all teased him about Kai.

Yay, new chapter! Please review and leave some prompts for me to use!

Wu: Give a man a fire and he'll be warm for a day-

Kai: Set a man on fire and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Zane: Isn't he just adorable when he talks like that?

Jay: I think your boyfriend want to kill someone.
