A Little More Attentive
"This is one of my favorite Manga…"
The words managed to sink in even through the revelation that Iruma could read this. Ameri paused in surprised before asking,"One of…wait…there's more?!"
"Well, yeah…" Iruma grabbed the book and said, "You see this here, it states Cawaii Comics. They compete with several other manga groups to put out material that people want to read. They probably wouldn't last long on just one series, either. They have several Manga by various teams across different genres. I remember hearing about how some of the competitors' books were performing comparatively while I was part of the team that worked on it…"
"Worked on…as in, you helped make this?"
"Well, not this book." He pointed to a symbol on the spine and added, "This one was made years ago, before I joined the team. I helped with a few volumes down the line and it's not like I held a special position, so I only heard so much. I just…" Next thing he knew, he was being pulled along by Ameri and soon found himself staring at a secret wall of the Manga.
"Which volumes are yours?"
Iruma looked up at the wall, stared quietly at the rows and rows of books before finally declaring, "...You don't have it. You're behind a few dozen volumes…"
"There's more?!"
Just something I would think would make a fun alternate scene when Iruma first spots the manga she was holding, since Iruma does mention that he was part of the team that worked on it. Heck, something along these lines could still technically happen later in the series and it would still be a ton of fun. I could see Ameri being furious that he didn't tell her sooner.
Also, I feel like Loves First Memories also brings up an interesting possibility about time in the human world and the demon world. Ameri stated that they have been in her family's possession for generations, which makes me wonder if Loves First Memories has been out in the human world long enough to span over multiple life times. If not, this basically confirms that time is flowing faster in the demon world than the human world. And, considering the circumstances, that would make sense. There are lots of references to people getting lost in other worlds, like the homes of fairies or hell, and time flowing differently there than in the human world. It would also make an interesting twist if Iruma ever had to go back to the human world for something, like rescuing someone who accidentally ends up there, collecting manga for Ameri or grabbing a prickly pear as a gift for Kalego (I may be considering a fanfic for the last but make no promises).
