TMNT:

A New Beginning

Chapter 2: Things change. (Pilot pt 2)

New York City, Manhattan.

October 10th.

8:45 a.m.

The sound of the sirens in the area and birds cooing were awakening most of the people of New York, but not John. Surprisingly, he had found a way to sleep through loud noises when living with his family. Just then, the door knocked. "Guys! You awake?' April called out. Once he heard this, John took the liberty to wake up, half asleep and awake. John then made his way towards the door and opened to see April standing there with her robe on. "Did you wake up just now?" She asked him. "No. No. I was feeling comfortable while having my eyes shut, but I'm fine." John assured in a joking way. April just shook her head with a smile. "Well, go ahead and wake the other one. I cooked you guys breakfast." April said. "Sounds good." John then walked over to Ryan's bed. Ryan slept like any other teenager would, and this had John smirk a little. "Hey." John said to him. When Ryan didn't answer, John got one of his own pillows and raised his right arm. "Ryan!" John hit him with the pillow, after he called him out. As soon as the pillow hit Ryan, he moaned a little loudly. "What?" "It's time to wake up." John stated. "What time is it?" Ryan asked. "Fifteen minutes till 9." John answered him. Ryan turned on his backside, and still had his eyes shut. "It's too early." "No. It's the right time. C'mon." John stated. "Can you just give me 3 minutes, already? Sheesh." John almost laughed at that. Then, he thought of what would get Ryan up. "April made breakfast." As soon as Ryan heard that, he changed his mind. "Two minutes." John laughed at that. Then, he exited the bedroom.

John saw April making a cup of coffee when he entered the kitchen. There, he saw the table set up with two plates across from each other. They were filled with two medium well eggs, two slices of French toast, and three bacon strips on the side. "Wow." April turned to John and saw him eyeing the food with amazement. "This looks good, April." John stated. This had April smile a bit and walked to her side of the chair at the table. "If you think that, then it will taste even better." April exclaimed. John sat down at the chair where you can see the kitchen and examined the food once more. Before he began eating, he started to Pray. 'Lord,', John prayed in his head, 'thank you for this food that I am about to receive, and thank the person who made this, including April O'Neil.' April looked at him as he was praying and was indeed amazed at how for someone so young and who had just lost people very dear to him, he believed in a mighty power better than he was. April was a scientist, but she has heard stories about God from her last church. While she wasn't the religious type, she did respect others and believed that there may be someone who was in control. April quickly returned from her thoughts, and noticed John already eating. "Wow." John commented. April gave a half smile. "So, how was it sleeping in that room? Any problems?" John looked at her and shook his head. "No. None at all." "Sorry about the sirens in the city. Hope that didn't wake you up." She told him. "I'm used to sleeping in loud places. You should've met both my dad and brother." John explained, jokingly, which caused April to smirk. She still wanted to know a few things about him and Ryan, and about what the people down there were like.

"So, I hope you don't mind me asking, what made you and your family want to move to Raton? From what you told me, it seemed like you, your sister and mom wanted to get away." John looked at her a bit and thought about how best to answer the question. "There was just a lot going on from where I was. Me, my mother and sister… We lived in Denver Colorado until I was about three, but things weren't going good there for the three of us. One day, my mom just had enough, and took me and my sister back to Raton. There, she met my Stepfather, Christopher. Believe it or not," John started laughing, "They met in a Pizza hut restaurant as employees." April smiled at that. "I remember when I first met him, he seemed all big and I was a little afraid of him, but my mom told me that it was ok, and we were going to stay with him. He came up to me, and saw that I was still afraid, but he looked at me and said, 'What're you afraid of me, for? I'm not going to hurt you,' and assured me that everything was alright. He was wearing a baseball cap, a long pair of jeans, and a long-sleeved shirt. He seemed like a nice and funny guy, but I'm telling you if you or someone were to fight him or threaten us, he would probably kill you." He laughed at that comment he made, and so did April. "My father may have been hard on me at times while training me how to fight, or he would get impatient with me when I screwed up, and often called me out on my mistakes, but… he was there for me when I needed him. He always believed that I was meant for something in this life. That's why he kept pushing me. To be someone else. Something better. I just don't know what it is yet." John said to April. It seemed that he was playing with his food while he talked about his dad. April looked at him and continued wondering how someone with so much drama and pain still somehow found peace and joy. "When both my parents died, it was just me and my sister, Asia. I didn't know what else to do. I was the oldest and I just wanted to make them proud somehow, but…" John closed his eyes and shut his mouth, not daring to say anymore. "How'd you manage to go through all that?" April asked. John wondered how to best answer that question. "I honestly don't know. It was just my parent's faith and mine that kept me going, but it was also Ryan that helped me through all of this. He lost his mother, too, and his Grandmother offered the two of us to stay, but… she left." April looked at him as if he was joking. "Ever since then, it's just been me and him. We have someone to check on us every now and then, but it was just me and him for a while. He's my friend. Probably the best one I've had in all my life." He simply replied. April then nodded in understanding. "I'm not sure how all this 'transportation to another world' works, but I plan to figure it out. We both do." John stated.

April then had at least one more question "So, your Dad… he taught you how to fight?" April asked him. John looked at her and nodded. "What did he teach you?" "Just some simple Karate techniques on how to defend myself, like tae kwon do, old fashioned karate and wrestling stuff. I learned some moves myself, in my childhood. Also, how to hunt and track things. He told me that if I ever was in that situation with someone who was messing with me, the best option was to walk away. He said that it wasn't ok to fight or express violence, but If it was necessary, then I would need to." "But you still faced those thugs from yesterday." April said. "Yeah. I shouldn't have done that though." John explained. April could tell that he regretted that. The two boys nearly died and would have if Casey hadn't intervened. "Why did you?" John thought about it for a moment. "I don't know. I just did. I saw someone close to me about to be mugged, and I couldn't just walk away. Something inside was telling me to. My dad did say if I saw someone else getting hurt, then it was our job to help them anyway we can. He taught me to only use these skills in a way that he would've been proud of." John explained. April thought about what he just said, and how they came to be here. "Maybe, whoever did send you here, has a purpose. Whatever it is, we're here to help you." April said to him. John smiled at that and agreed with her. The door in the hallway opened, which caused both John and April to turn to look in that direction, and out came Ryan who was still half awake.

"Morning." John almost laughed at how Ryan was still asleep. "Mmm…. Something smells good." "I made eggs, French toast and bacon. I hope that's fine." April told him. As soon as Ryan sat down, the smell of bacon literally made Ryan's mouth waterly. Right away, he sat down and tore the bacon in half and started eating. "Oh man. April, did anyone ever tell you you're a good cook?" "Yeah. Mike says I can cook pretty well." April said. "Well, I am seriously letting you know that this is really good." Ryan continued eating as April and John both smiled. "Well, I'll let you two be while I'm getting dressed." April exclaimed as she got up and headed towards her room. Before she entered, she turned to the two boys. "After you're done, you should get ready as well. We have a big day today." John understood what she meant. Now it was time to figure just what exactly he and Ryan were doing here. April then entered her room, and Ryan continued finishing his breakfast. "So, tell me. Are you excited or are you excited?" Ryan said. John looked at him and thought about it. It was exciting for him indeed to seek help from his favorite heroes, but he still needed answers as to how to get home or how they came to be here.

9:20 a.m.

"I can't believe you're even considering this." Raph exclaimed. After their morning training with Splinter, Raph tried his best to convince the others that allowing the two boys into the lair is a mistake, and Leo was a little tired of it. "Raph, we've talked about this," says Leo, "we all decided that we would allow them to be in the lair. If Master Splinter says its-" "This is a mistake, that's what it is." Raph told Leo. No matter how many times the others tried telling Raph to keep an open mind, he would not listen. This made Leo a little frustrated. Yeah, him and his brother wouldn't see eye to eye on most things, but… Correction. They would not see eye to eye on everything. "Listen." Leo said, "They need our help. Don has already set up the lab to help them sort things out. You already made it clear that you don't trust them. At all. If I can sense good in them and I see that they are not dangerous, doesn't that count for something?" Raph looks at Leo as if he just became stupid. "Why can't you just be on my side for once? It's always the same with you. Ya expect me to just be ok with allowing two strangers into our 'home'? Our 'hideout'?" "Just try to keep an open mind. That's all I'm asking Raph. Ok?" Leo asks him. Raph just scoffs at his older brother. "Fine. I'll play your game. If something does go wrong, however, don't say I didn't warn ya." Raph made his opinion clear and then storms off to the gym, Leo just looks ahead at his hotheaded brother. He sighs in a little relief. "Man. That dudes got some serious trust issues." Mikey exclaimed, as he was playing his game. Leo looked at his little brother, who had been sitting there for nearly 5 minutes getting into whatever game he was playing. "Not now, Mikey." Leo says to him. "Just saying." Mikey told him.

Leo then looked on as Mikey continued playing his game. He felt that maybe Raph had a right to be overreacting. After all, these two strangers knew about their existence and would most likely trade them in for money or would accidentally slip up and tell someone, but Leo, for some odd reason, believed that they weren't those sorts of people. Especially that… what was that kids name? John. Yeah, that's it. There was just something a little odd about him. "If you ask me, bro, you made the right choice." Leo returned from his thoughts and turned to Mikey. "You think so?" Leo asked him. "Yeah. I like those guys." Leo smiled at his brother, but still felt something was on his mind. Leo then makes his way towards Don's lab and decides to get his opinion. Leo knocks on the door, and when he hears Don say something, which is a sign for him to come in. Leo sees Don sitting there, examining something on his computer. Don was, what Leo would call him, a tech genius. Don had all sorts of equipment that was connected to the big screen, and he had a few tools lying around, and blueprints scattered on the table. "Donnie?" "Hey, Leo." Don said to him as he continues searching up what looks like a list of names. "What're you doing?" Leo asked. "Well, I was looking at the list of names that we found the other night, and the computer's still scanning for them. Now I'm just working on the new inventions that I have planned. That is of course if I can get them done." "Good. That's good." Leo says.

"Can I ask you something?" "It depends." Don says to him, still examining something through his microscope. "On what?" Leo asks. "On if you think that you made a mistake on allowing those kids in our lives, which by the way was my idea, then No. I think this can be a good thing. They need our help in figuring out how they got here, right?" Don asked him. "Yeah. I think so as well." Leo says. "I trust them." Don told him. At that, Leo nodded in agreement. He felt a little bit at ease for the moment and wanted all of his brothers to be on board. "Yeah. I wish I can say the same for Raph." "Don't worry about him. He'll come around. Eventually." Don assured Leo. "I hope so." Meanwhile, the door to the lair opens, and Leo turns towards the entrance. "I can never get tired of this. That's so cool." Ryan appears in the doorway, while April and John follow behind. Mikey looks at the doorway and gets up and greets them. "Hey dudes! How was your first night sleeping in the city?" "It was nice. I actually liked it." Ryan exclaimed. "That's awesome. We got a whole day ahead of us. I have everything planned out." "Yeah?" Ryan asked Him. As Mikey explained the whole list that he had, John took the opportunity to go ahead and check out the dojo. April caught notice, but didn't say anything, as she wanted the two boys to examine and get used to the environment. She still was thinking about her and John's conversation at the apartment, and wondered for someone who lost his whole family, he still tried to be positive about everything and still could have the strength to pull through. 'He may be an example to others one day. I can see something happening for his future.' She thought to herself. "—And then we can have all these game sessions and then after I can hopefully show you some of my art that I'm working on." Mikey mentioned, which brought April back from reality. "Sounds like a plan, man." Ryan told him. "Sorry Mike, but those games will have to wait." Don explained to him, exiting his lab, Leo following suite. "We have a whole lot of work ahead of us, not only with Ryan and John, but also with the other thing we found." "AW man. I had a whole list of things planned." Mikey said with a pout. "You can do that later Mike. It shouldn't take too long." Don told him, then turned to April. "Plus, I needed to show April what we found last night." "Oh. Ok." April made her way towards Don's lab, while Mikey and Ryan stayed in the living room. Leo then looked around the living room and noticed that John was gone. April caught notice and told him that he headed towards the dojo. Leo looked at her and nodded in gratitude.

John went inside the dojo. What he saw amazed him greatly. The dojo looked like any other dojo, but this one was different from any others. This one was more Japanese style dojos and it really impressed John. He looked a little bit more and saw a few swords stacked up on a shelf near him. The texture and style of it art and the handles were most indeed impressive most of all, which made sense why Japanese swords were his favorite. John then moved on over to look at a few Japanese art, or calligraphy art that Splinter has for studies for ninjutsu fighting styles. "Wow." John whispered to himself. He was impressed by every little detail that was brought out in this place. He caught notice of a family portrait near the corner of his eye and walked towards of it. He grabbed the small portrait on the shelf, which had a picture of the turtle family. Leo, Raph, Don were standing and had little smile but more serious while Mikey and Splinter were smiling and had their arm around each other smiling at the camera. This brought a smile to John's face. The guys seem all happy. With all the stories that he had heard and the comics, he knew the kind of life they had to live, fighting the bad guys and protecting the city, but John knew that most of the people would not see it that way. He saw them not only as heroes of the city, but as everyone else. More human than he can possibly be in the lightest. He looked up at the portrait above the family one, and it showed a Japanese man with short black hair and was wearing a traditional Japanese outfit that some would wear for training or ceremonies. He recognized the figure from before. "That man is Hamato Yoshi." A voice made John turn towards the doorway, where Leo was standing there. John didn't hear the door open, and it surprised him a little. Then John realized that he came to the dojo without permission. "Sorry, I just wanted to explore and—" "Hey, it's alright. I understand that it's fascinating." Leo assured him as he walked towards where John was standing. John put the portrait where it was last placed and looked back up at the picture above. Leo and John were now looking at the portrait.

"I assume you know already know who he is?" Leo asked him with his hands to his side. John looked at him and nodded then looked back at the picture. "Yeah, um… He's Splinter's sensei." "Not because Master Splinter said his name, right?" Leo asked him with a half-smile on his face. John smiled at that comment. "No. Basically, he was a master in the art of Ninjutsu and passed it on to Splinter. From what I've also heard, he was an honorable man." John told him. Leo nodded his head in agreement. "Yeah. He was. My master told me stories about his time in Japan, but then something tragic happened, where Yoshi then came to New York to get away." Leo explained this. He walked towards John and crossed his arms. "What happened to him?" John asked. "Our father didn't say." Leo answered. "He did find his sword and kept it in his memory. You might have already seen it." Leo moved to the sword collection while John followed him. "It's right there." Leo pointed at the katana sword that had a black sheath on it. John looked at it a little closely and saw that it was Yoshi's sword. "No way." Leo looked at John for a bit and saw his excitement through it. "Don tells me you're a historian." John looks at Leo. "Yeah. I mean, I like certain parts of history and all." "Such as?" John thought about it for a minute. "The Japanese timeline, American & French revolution, The third crusades, the age of pirates, and the Italian renaissance." Leo looked a bit surprised. "Wow." "Yeah." John started chuckling a little and looked back at the sword. "Well, seems to me you know a lot of stuff. What got you interested?" Leo asked him. John thought about it for a moment and came up with an answer. "From the videogames." Leo laughed at that, and John started laughing too. "I learned a little bit when I was in school. At first, it seemed confusing, but the more I started to read and acknowledge it, the more interested I became. My mom wasn't very into that sort of thing. She did support me and wanted me to accomplish so much in the future." Leo looked at him as John was talking, with a serious but saddened look. "Don did tell me what happened. I'm sorry." "It's fine. I'm used to it." Leo looked at him with a worried but confused look. "Anyways, I learned a few things from my parents. They weren't historians and barely understood the stuff I studied for, but they were wise and all." "And Ryan? He had family too?" Leo asked. John looked at him and nodded. "Just his mom. He hasn't told me about his dad." Leo nodded and understood. "Me and him met in 5th grade. He's been by my side since." John explained.

"Seems like he's good to have around." Leo said. "Yeah. Hey um, I don't think I ever got the chance to tell you, but me and Ryan… what happened last night…" "Hey. It's no problem." Leo said to him. "It seemed like it was." John replied with concern. "No. My brother Raph has trust issues, but he means well. Don't worry about him." John looked at him. "Well… Thanks anyway." John said. Leo half smiled. "Sure. So, you're a Christian, huh?" John laughs nervously. "Yeah." "Your Mother I assume?" "How'd you know?" John asked him. "I figured that Mothers have that impact on their children." Leo chuckled a bit when he said that. John smiled at that remark. "Well, you're not wrong. Both Mom and Dad actually had an impact on me." Leo then looked at Yoshi's sword. "If it's weird or anything, I don't have to talk about it with you or the others." John told him. "No, it's no big deal. Although I may not fully understand, I respect it." "Yeah, that's understandable." John said. John was a little relived at that thought. He didn't want to force his faith on others, but if they wanted to talk about it, he was more than happy to. "This is still new to me. Everything that's been happening so far. I usually just follow my parents' advice and not worry about anything. But now, I haven't got a single clue as to what or why me and Ryan are here." John said. Leo looked at him as John was continuing examining the room. He knew that this must be strange for these two boys, showing up in a different but similar world. While he didn't have the faintest idea why they were here, he and the rest would do anything to help. "I'm not sure what it is either. I get that this may be strange to you, being in a new place and a new lifestyle, but you have nothing to worry about. Me, my brothers and sensei will do anything in our power to help you and your friend. I promise you that." Leo told him and held out his hand to shake it. John looked at him and was unsure, but this did help a little. He grabbed Leo's hand and shook it. "Thank you." John said to him. Just then, Mikey came into the dojo and had a look of shock on his face. "Leo, you need to see this."

Leo walked out of the dojo with John following right behind him. All three made their way to the living room. There, April, Don, Raph and Splinter were standing around the tv, while Ryan was seen sitting down. The T.V. was showing a news broadcast. "Police have gathered evidence that two citizens were killed near Staple Street just last night. The victims' names, from what we can collect, were Tommy Goodwin and Anna Gonzales. The police have not provided any statements of the whole incident and were not available for any questions at the time." "Oh man." Ryan said. "Who would even do this sort of thing?" "The foot. That's who." Don said. "That ain't right. Why would they do that?" Ryan asked. "Because their cowards!" Raph stated. John looked at him and noticed that he had a look of hatred. "Yeah. But just… why?" Ryan asked again. "The foot is one of the city's worst criminal organizations, besides the dragons. They use this kind of tactic to spread fear into the people, which can therefore bring a whole lot of paranoia. But to do something like this… that brings the odd question." Don said. "What question?" April asked. "Well, they do their work sometimes in secret. Attacking innocents, disrupting the police. This wasn't done in secret." Don explained to everyone. As soon as he was done talking, Leo thought about it for a second and suddenly got the idea. "They're sending a message." "Message?" John asked. "I believe that they may be trying to tell those that they will not stop until all of New York will fall before them. If they do not comply their requests, they will die. We all will." Splinter said. Everyone became speechless, and after a few seconds, John took the liberty to speak. "So, are you guys going to stop them?" "I don't think that's any of your business of what we do, kid." Raph said to him. "Raphael." Splinter said. Raph then looked down on the ground. "We'll do what we can later. Right now, let's focus on you two." Leo told John. John looked at Ryan, who had a worried troublesome look on the face. "Ok." Leo then made the way towards the lab, the rest following. John looked back at the T.V. and started to wonder if there was more to the story. Making his way to the lair, he didn't give the foot, or the dragons anymore thought.

9:37 a.m.

Johnny and Dragonface were driving across Manhattan, making their way towards the place Hun told them to collect the shipment. Dragonface was listening to the radio, jamming out to what sounded like heavy punk rock metal music. Johnny was looking out the window and had his hand formed in a fist and covered his mouth. Dragonface took notice of this and turned down the volume just a little. "What's your problem? You ain't having doubts now are you, baby boy?" "Shut up." Johnny said. "Ooo, what's the matter? You get your reminder of how much you screwed up yesterday by the boss?" "I said Shut it!" Johnny nearly raised his voiced. "Alright alright. Calm your ass down." Dragonface said. Johnny looked back out the window. "Seriously though man. How do you get beat up by not only a vigilante in a hockey mask, but also two 15-year-old teenagers?" "I… it wasn't like that…" Johnny tried telling him. "That's not how I heard it." Dragonface started laughing a little. "I swear it. I had those kids in the corner, but then the tall one got me good, and then they both just… If I see them again, they'll regret it. Especially that Christian." "Yeah. Let's just do this thing and not worry about that right now. You'll get your sweet revenge later!" Dragonface told him. "The boss wants us to collect the shipment from a few men downtown. After that, he wants us to bring it back to the Pit." "Who are these guys we're meeting?" Johnny asked him. "Just some local dealers who are wanting in on some cash. We give them the cash, we get the guns! It's as simple as that." Dragonface told him. "Yeah" Johnny said. "Just make sure that you don't screw it up this time, got it?" "Whatever." Johnny told him. Johnny continued looking out the window, back out at the city, swearing that if he saw those kids again, it would be the end for them both.

They pulled in to one of the old warehouses where no one would know where they are, not even the police. The warehouse looked like one of those places' you'd see as an old famous store or an auto parts shop. Now, it was where criminals, dealers or even sometimes big mob bosses would meet. It wasn't a good place for anyone else to be at, especially with criminals and mob lords. The car parked near to the lot and both Dragonface and Johnny entered through the building. Johnny carried the bag in with him, eager to finish the job as quickly as possible. A few street thugs were there, carrying a huge gray crate. "Well, Well. We was wondering if you fellas would be here or not!" Dragonface said to them. "I told you we'd all be here," The thug with the bandana and black sweat jacket told him. Johnny took a look around to make sure that the area was clear. "So, are we doing this?" The thug asked them both. "You got what we need?" Dragonface asked. The thug signaled for the other one to bring in the cart next to him. As soon as he did, Dragonface signaled for Johnny to come closer. "You have the money you promised us?" The thug asked him. "Patience. I need to see if everything is in here." Dragonface told them. The thug nodded and opened the crate for them to see everything. The crate was full of Ar15s, Pump shotguns, sub machine guns, pistols. Johnny's eyes went up in awe, and Dragonface was counting everything, to make sure it was all there. Unknown to them, there was someone outside who had followed them to the warehouse. It was Casey. He had heard of an upcoming shipment that was happening around today and thought that this was the best time to figure out what was going on. He saw Dragonface examining high valued guns, something that was hard to find in the shop these days, and then started to worry. "The hell are you fellas up to?" Casey whispered to himself. "Well, gentleman. It's always a pleasure doing business with you all." Dragonface told them all. As soon as him and Johnny started to turn and leave, the main thug spoke up. "We want in." Dragonface turned to them and started to chuckle a little. "Excuse me?"

"We know that your boss is planning in on something with the other one and we want in." The thug told him. Dragonface couldn't help but laugh at that statement and made his way to where the thug was standing. Casey looked on in ahead at the whole thing and thought about what was said. 'What plan?' Casey thought to himself. "There's nothing that you need to know, pal. I don't think that's any business of yours of what my boss is up to." Dragonface told the one he was standing nearby. "Don't play with me, man! I know Hun's gonna take over the Manhattan district, and soon all the city! You know he's willing to take in new recruits that are on the street. Now we gave you your guns and all that crap you asked for! I'm not asking for anything you can't do. We want in!" The thug told him and looked like he and his friends were not backing down from their requests. Johnny looked at his friend and wondered what was about to happen. Dragonface looked at the other thugs and thought about what the guy just said. "I'll see what Hun can do. Until then, I can't promise you anything." He told them. "That's bull man! We put in all kinds of cash to get these guns for you and your little Dragon friends! The least you can do…" "I told you that now is not the time. When everything is good and ready, you'll know." Dragonface told them. As he turned to leave, Johnny turned and cracked a smile. He knew that there was no chance in hell Hun would accept these goons. Casey watched them leave from the window outside and turned towards the way he had snuck up from. He now knew that there was something going on later tonight. He had to tell the other about what was going on.

9:40 a.m.

Meanwhile…

The N.Y.P.D. is one of the primary law enforcements that operate in New York City. Their high Captain, Dave Astin, operates strictly on the law, and has all the officers work very hard in order to bring peace and justice to the city. Alex Anderson had just graduated about four and a half years ago from the academy and had just made a rank of detective three months ago. He had worked his whole life to provide for himself and his wife. He thought that becoming a detective would change things, but things had gotten a little worse. The uprising of these two criminal gangs had left the city to utter ruin. Anderson had to believe that things could be better and hoped one day his wife and two children wouldn't have to live in fear. Alex was driving in his Mercedes A 180, on the way to the station, but first had to make a stop to grab some coffee. As soon as he parked his car, to the café that seemed to be two blocks away from April's apartment. As soon as he entered the shop, Alex looked around and saw a few others just going about their day. One woman was on her laptop using the café's wifi, A few friends hanging around in the nearby corner, laughing and talking with each other, and a couple having their breakfast together. "Detective Anderson. It's nice seeing you here, again." One of the Cashier workers greeted him. Alex heard the girl's voice and smiled a little. "Good Morning, Rachel." He walked towards the counter and had already pulled out his wallet his wife had given him for his birthday. "Just making the usual stop before you head to work?" the girl named Rachel asked him. "Yeah. I need the energy for today, and this Café is one of the famous ones in the city." Rachel laughed at the comment. "When do you start school?" Alex asked her. "Not for two more weeks, and I'm not excited for it." Rachel said to him with an irritated look on her face. "Hey. Stay in school. Don't be like any of other kids who don't have an education to work from. You'll be fine." The detective assured her. "I'll be sure to take that advice from our favorite paying officer, newly promoted detective." The girl said to him, which made Alex smirk a little. "So, what will it be, Detective? The usual?" "Yeah sure." Alex said. Rachel put in the order, and called out, "One Medium coffee latte with cinnamon!" Alex gave her a five-dollar bill. "We'll have it out to you in no time." Rachel said. Alex watched her go on as he examined the room once more. He noticed that people were going about their daily lives, hoping this city wouldn't continue to be in the state it was in. That's one of the reasons why he became a cop. Not only to make the city a better place, but to see the people live and create a better life for themselves and loved ones. "Here you go." Rachel greeted him with his coffee. "Alex looked at her and gave her a small smile. "Thanks." "Be careful out there, detective." Rachel told him. Alex waved goodbye on his way out the door and walked back to his car. As soon as he got in, the sound of an upcoming notification on his phone came. He looked at it and it was a message from the captain. "Anderson, we need to talk. Come to my office now." Alex chuckled a little at the message. "Yeah. Sure." He turned in the key ignition to his car and drove right away to the station. This was going to be another hellish day.

9:40 a.m.

Meanwhile…

"I still can't believe you have this many computers. How do you find the time to go through all this?" Ryan asked Don. He and John were exploring Don's lab while working on figuring out the whole travel thing. John stood near Don's chair, while Don was looking through old notes and blueprints. "I make the time. This is where actually all the magic happens. See, these laptops and computers you see here are able to show a whole area of New York, where I'm connected to all servers that are in the city. That way, if there's something going on, it'll let me know on here." Don carefully explained to them both. "Every Server?" Ryan asked him. He usually wasn't the type who was into technology, but even he had to admit; that's definitely impressive. "Yep. Including one that's inside the N.Y.P.D." As soon as Don said this, John looked at him with an astonished look. "You're kidding?" he asked. Don looked at him and nodded his head. "Nope. It's all on here. If there's something that comes up at the station, the computer will notify us at once." "That's pretty awesome." Ryan told him. "Any luck, Don?" April asked him, as soon as she and Leo entered the lab. "Well, for the list, it just needs a few moments to go through and scan every name that's connected. As for the whole "travel ordeal", no luck." "You haven't found anything that could explain how they got here?" Leo asked. He wasn't too worried, but he still hoped he can hope to keep the promise he had made to John earlier. "All that came up was the location of the warehouse these two mentioned. There were signs of matter activity that show a wave light could've had an impact and allowed them to enter in New York, but other than that, nothing." Don explained. He had hoped to also help out the boys find answers, but with no luck. "You said this was the last place you came from?" Don asked John, who had his arms crossed and was listening to the whole thing. John nodded his head, not saying anything yet, thinking about what Don just said. "Hmm." "Isn't there anything else you can try to do?" April asked him. "Well, if I had something that could explain to me about this, then maybe that can even the process." Don explained. "Well, I guess it's a shame we don't got that medallion anymore, huh?" Ryan said to John. John nodded, then looked at Ryan with a wide-eyed look, as if he mentioned something that did happen before. "The Medallion." John replied. Ryan looked at John and had the idea of what he meant. "The medallion you received in that box." Ryan said with realization on his face. "The same one you were talking about last night?" Don asked the two of them. John quickly explained. "Yeah. There was this history project for my class that I was going to work on, about ancient Japan, and it came with it. When me and Ryan examined it, this green light appeared in my bedroom, and we ended up there." John pointed at the screen of Don's computer, where it showed the warehouse, they came from.

"Do you have it now?" April asked him. John looked back at Ryan. "Ryan?" "I don't have it with me." Ryan held his hands up innocently. John looked at him about to ask, when all of a sudden, the noise from the computer came in. Don took a look at what pinged, which showed a new location of what seemed to be one of the dragon's hideouts. "One second." Don said, as he turned and examined what was on the screen. "I was hoping this would show up soon." "What is it?" John asked. "It's actually supposed to be one of the places that the dragons might be operating out of. This looks like its appearing on the outer docks near Manhattan." Don told them, staying multitasked. "They operate out of multiple warehouses in the city, but this one is supplying weapons of all kind, including ar-15s, Spas-12s, a few Bolt-Action Sniper Rifles, and RPGs. Those are the big ones." "Cool." Ryan smirked at that, then looked at the others, in which Leo gave him the look that said, 'not now.' "I mean awful." Ryan changed his tone. "Do you think maybe there's a chance that this could be connected with the foot, after that message they sent on the news?" April asked him. "Could be. I'll have to look into it, but in the mean-time, lets try to help our two friends here." Don answered with a half-smile. April rolled her eyes, with a smile. "Ryan, you did grab it after we thought it was blowing up." John told him. "Yeah, I did do that. I must've lost it." John looked at him and was a little annoyed. "Hey, maybe we can take a look back around the building we were at. It's the last place I could think of leaving it." "Maybe." John said. "Either that, or we may have to take a long journey back home to good old New Mexico." Ryan smiled shrugged his shoulders and laughed a little. John and April looked at him with shocked faces, Leo had squinted his eyes, and Don covered his eyes, shaking his head. Ryan looked at them all and noticed that it wasn't a good idea to say stuff like that, and laughed nervously until he stopped. "Yeah. I'd say we go check out that building, then." "That would be a good idea." John told him. "Come on. I'll drive you two." April said. The three of them made their way towards the exit of the lair, only to be faced with Raph. "Where you going?" he asked them with an anger and untrustworthy expression to the two kids. "I'm taking them to the last place they seemed to appear from and help them look for something that brought them here. Hopefully, they can find answers." April told him. Raph looked on at the two. "Mmm-hmm." He muttered. Raph didn't like how this situation smelled. "Ok. See you in a bit." April told him. As they were leaving, John turned around to look back at Raph, and saw that there was just no convincing him that they weren't the bad guys, but he didn't give up just yet. Raph got the feeling that he was being watched, and turned and saw John there, who had just followed April and Ryan out the door. Raph shook his head and made his way towards the dojo. Leo saw the whole thing. "Try a little bit harder, next time." Leo told him. "Whatever, Fearless." Raph said, and Leo just stood there as Raph left. 'Why is this difficult with him?' he thought to himself. "What's with him not trusting those two?" Don asked him, and Leo returned to his thoughts. Leo had no answers.

10:12 a.m.

"So, is this it?" April asked the two of them. She, John and Ryan had just arrived to the building they had come from. "Yep." John said. All three of them got out of the car and walked towards the entrance. It seemed a little emptier than they last remembered. There were a few boxes here and there, and some garbage lying around, but that was mostly it. John opened the door and held it for April and Ryan. "Wow. You weren't kidding about this being a dump." April mentioned. As she looked around, she noticed that this was one of the old storage unit buildings people used to bring in supplies from other cities, such as food, gallons of water, or any other kind of necessities, but it was really old. "This must have been one of those old buildings Americans used in the 1940s during the second World War. I noticed that it had one of the old vehicle tires from that time here." John mentioned as he was looking. Ryan was wandering around on the other portion of the room, but he heard what John said. "I'm gonna see if I can't find anything down here." Ryan called out. John gave a thumbs up, while April told him to be careful. John saw nothing but trash and old boxes lying around. "Are you sure this is where you boys last had it?" April asked with no doubts, but still unsure if this was the right place. "This was the building we came out of and where we saw the view of the city. I'm sure we'll find it." John told her. "Once we find it, I think Don will be able to triangulate what kind of 'scientific knowledge we can come up with." April explained to him, as he moved back to her side. "That's the plan." John confirming that he understood, while his left arm was crossed over his chest, his right was holding on to his cross, playing with it. April caught notice of this and decided to ask him about it. "That's really nice." She said to him. John looked at her in confusion. "What?" April looked at his hand, then John looked down and understood what she was talking about. "Oh." He started to smile. "Yeah. It's something alright." "A gift from your mom?" "No. From my Dad., He… uh, figured that since I was going out into the real world, I should have a constant reminder of who our savior is." John shared with her. April was fascinated by this. "May I see it?" "Yeah. Of course." John took the cross off his neck and handed it to April. She took it and turned it around. "This was very nice of your father." "Yes, it was. I never forget." John smiled and nodded. April noticed writing on the silver metal of the cross. "What's J 3:16?" John looked at the writing as well. "That's a bible verse my dad had written in there. John 3:16." He explained to her. "Bible verse, huh?" April smiled at that. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son. For whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life." John explained the meaning of the verse.

"That is something." April commented. "I was eight when he gave that to me. There's other verses that he wanted to use but felt that one was the better one." "Really?" April said. "Yeah. There was this one where it was his favorite, somewhere in Joshua. It said something like... um…" John told her, as he was handed back the cross. He was starting to remember and got it. "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." John smiled at that verse. "That's sounds amazing." April told him. John put the chain back around his neck. "Yeah." John thought about it for a second. "You, ok?" April asked with concern in her voice. "Yeah. I was just thinking about what Mister Splinter said last night. How this city's suffering. I can't help but wonder if…" John tried his best to explain but didn't comprehend of what was to be said. "Wonder what?" April asked him. John was about to answer her, when Ryan Came back. "I found it." Ryan ran up to both April and John. "I knew it was here." "Is this it?" April asked him. "Well, it's either the medallion, or a small piece of metal gold I found that I can sell for a few grand." April smiled and shook her head as John was handed the medallion by Ryan. John examined the object very closely. The same object that brought him and his best friend to New York and met few people he never thought existed. This would hopefully help him and the others to find answers. "This is beautiful." April mentioned, as she looked at it from John's hand. "Yeah. Whoever sent us this sure has a fine taste in jewelry." Ryan said. "Us?" April asked him, confused. "Oh well, John and I came up this theory that this was sent to both of us, we don't know by wh—" As Ryan and April were talking, John walked away for a second to take a closer look at the object. He had noticed something else about this. Once he saw the green light, he heard things within it. Somethings he couldn't explain. Then, the visions returned:

Two people fighting with a Sword and Sai.

Hun.

Man with silvered claws attached to the hand.

Purple Dragons.

Two hooded figures, one with what looked like a hidden blade and a sword, and another with a mechanized compound Bow and arrows:

"John?" John returned to realization and saw that both April and Ryan were looking at him, with confused and concerned looks. "You good, pal?" Ryan asked him. John looked at his friend and nodded. "Yeah." Ryan knew that look he had. It was the same look John received in the alley and back at the house. He had a feeling it had something to do with these visions that John has been seeing lately. "Come on. Let's head back to the lair." April told them. She headed towards the entrance, Ryan following, while John stayed still for a second. He took a look at the medallion once more. 'What the hell is going on?' Whatever these things he was seeing were, it sure felt real. He was just glad that he made a few friends to help him out.

10:30 a.m.

Camera flies around the city slowly

Now at police station.

"Come in." The Police Captain, Dave Astin answered the knock at the door in his office. He was one of the most respected officers in the whole department. Honored for his active service in the army and for his bravery fought on the lines, he wanted to do more for his country and had decided to become an officer of the law. He wore a white rolled up long sleeved shirt, where his office contained medals of honor on the wall, and recognition of service hanging behind his desk. The door to his office opened and revealed Detective Alex. "You wanted to see me, Sir?" Alex asked him. "Yeah. Sit down." Captain said to him, as he sat down in his chair. Alex entered the office, wondering what the Captain wanted to talk to him for. "I've got something that you might be interested in." Captain told him. Alex looked at him with interest. "Oh?" Alex asked him. "You've been in this department for four years now, and since then, you've worked hard to earn the rank of detective. I know you want to protect and serve the city from scums who threaten to take it." The Captain mentioned this to him, and Alex felt appreciated. He had never been addressed this way before. "We've been getting a number of reports over the past few weeks about Purple Dragon territories being set around Harlem, Lower Manhattan, Hell's Kitchen, Bronx and Midtown. What they're doing there, we don't know." The Captain looked at him as if he was hoping that he wasn't making a mistake. "I want you to take over the Dragons and Foot case." Alex was surprised at this, because out of anyone in the entire department, it was him that the Captain chose him. "Other officers have been unable to take up this one, either because they're not qualified, or to scared, but you… You're work ethic has proved to me that you are capable of handling something as big as this. You can take the time to think it over if you want, but by tomorrow, it will most likely be given to another. What do you say?" Alex saw this as an opportunity to bring the Dragons case and wanted to start right away. Of course, he would have to tell Andrea, but she would most likely allow him to take it. "Well, when do I start?" Alex asked with determination written on his face and found in his voice.

The Captain nodded his head, smiling at the detective that took the case without hesitation. "How about now?" The Captain hands Alex a few files to look over. "One of the guys at the forensics lab collected a blood sample from the crime scene of the couple that were killed last night. Alongside the sample, was a little piece of black cloth. One of them must've tried to fight back the ninja. I want you to go back to that alley to make sure we didn't forget nothing. If you find anything, you let me know. We clear?" "Yes, Sir." Alex said to him. "Good. Another thing. I'm assigning you a new partner to help you with the case." "Partner?" As soon as Alex heard this, he felt that this may have been too much now for him to handle. "Yeah. She's a newcomer from Detroit, transferred here about a week ago. She needs someone like you to show her the ropes, and how we operate around here." The Captain explained to him. Alex couldn't believe it. "With all due respect sir, I don't think sticking her with me is gonna go well. Especially with all the stuff that's been going on." "You'll be fine, Anderson. I'm not askin you to marry her, but just to have her follow in with you so that she can understand what we're dealing with. If there's a problem, then you know where to find me!" The Captain said to him firmly and made clear that this was going to happen, whether Alex agreed with it or not. "Is that understood?" The Captain asked him once again. Alex reluctantly nodded towards the Captain. "Good. Now looks like you have a lot of work ahead of ya, Anderson." The Captain assured Alex that he was free to go, and Alex left with a worried look on his face. He didn't want a partner, nor did he need one. "God." Alex just scoffed at what just happened. Sometimes the Captain was a little bit of a dick, but he wouldn't tell him that. As Alex walked towards the exit, another officer noticed Alex with a different look on his face. "Hey Detective!" Alex turned to the officer who had shouted his name. "Captain give you his early lecture?" "Eh, what else is new?" Alex replied with a half-smile on his face. The officer laughed and shook his head and got back to work. Alex made his way towards the car, dreading that having a partner was a bad call.

10:35 a.m.

It was an ongoing process for the search of the matter energy that both Ryan and John had discussed, but Don was willing to put in the effort. He swore to himself that he was going to help his new friends find out how and why they came here. Despite the whole dragon & foot crime wave that he had been helping his brothers with, he felt that it was his responsibility as well to help the two boys. He had taking a liking to them, and so far, they weren't dangerous. Ryan reminded him of Mikey, simply because of not only the jokes, but also how he had that kind of heart. John reminded Don of him and Leo. He was smart, seemed loyal in what he believed in, and had a somewhat personality related to Mikey in some way. Mikey came around the lab and saw his brother straight at work. "Hey Donnie!" Don looked at his youngest brother, then turned back to the computer. "Hey Mike." "Whatcha working on?" Don didn't take his eyes off the Screen, but he heard his brother ask that question. "I'm helping our new friends to triangulate how they got here. The wave of light they described is impossible to identify, but I'm hoping that things are going well on their end." "What do you mean by that?" Mikey asked with a curious expression on his face. "Well, once they've found the medallion, or whatever this thing is, if we can find the wave of energy or any mass that was behind it all, we can pinpoint on how it was produced and how it can just appear from that spot to the next." As Don continued discussing this, Mikey nodded as if he understood everything his smart brother was saying. Don saw him nod and noticed something. "Mikey, you have no idea what I'm saying, do you?" Mikey just smiled nervously and nodded. Don rolled his eyes and just chuckled. "This means we can find out how they transported to New York in the first place." "Oh. Why didn't you just mention that the first time, then?" Mikey asked him. Don just sat there with his eyes closed, smiling and shook his head. He loved his brother, but oh man. The lair entrance opened back up, showing Casey entering. "Casey, dude!" Mikey called out. "Hey Mike." Casey said, as he came down the steps. He noticed Don in the lab. "Yo Donnie!" Don didn't turn from the screen, but he raised his hand and waved at him. "Hey"

Casey just smirked and shook his head. "Is April around?" "No, she took the boys to some warehouse to find this Medallion." Mikey told him. Casey looked at him. "What?" "You know, the same one that they told us about?" Don said. "Oh." "Is everything ok?" Mikey asked him. "For now." Casey told him. "What do you mean?" "When April gets here. I want everyone to hear this. Don't worry about it." Casey assured him. Mikey understood, but still saw that worried look on Casey's face. "Donny? We're here!" A voice called out at the entrance. John and Ryan were walking down the steps, April following behind. "April." Casey said as soon as he spotted her. April took notice of the way he addressed her name and noticed that same look. "What's happening?" Casey crossed his arms. "Where's everyone else?" "Raph and Leo are in the dojo sparring." Don told him. "Casey. What's going on?" Casey looked at Don, then headed towards the Dojo. Everyone looked at each other and wondered why Casey was acting this way. "What was that about?" Mikey asked. "Maybe he missed his morning routine of protein shakes and curls?" Ryan answered Mikey's question, shrugging. John just rolled his eyes at that comment, while Don just looked at him with confusion. Everyone then made their way to the dojo, where sounds of fighting. Swords and Sais were clashing. As soon as everyone came in there, they saw Leo and Raph practicing, while Splinter was examining their progress. John was actually in awe about this. He was able to witness firsthand how they fought. His father wasn't into history and all, but he was interested in Japanese Culture, including the styles of martial arts they all had. His favorite was ninjutsu and old schooled karate. Why he liked that John didn't know. Maybe it was something that he picked up from a friend somewhere?

As John continued wondering this, Splinter was giving them advice on what both Raph and Leo were doing right and what they were doing wrong. "Y'know, I could've done something else and been somewhere else. Why'd you insist on fighting me now? Even after training." Raph annoyingly grunted at Leo and attacked. Leo blocked the Sais and just smiled. "I need the practice." Leo took the opportunity to push back Raph and ran towards him. Raph was about getting ready to attack again, but Leo flipped over on his back before he got the chance to do so. "And you're a good challenge." Leo just smirked at him. "I'll show you a challenge!" Raph ran towards him and spun his Sais around. He jumped in the air and did a side kick, Leo dodged it and attacked as soon as Raph landed on the ground. Leo performed a spin kick, but Raph saw the attack coming and ducked, held his hand on the ground behind him and backflipped back into fighting position. "Wow." John said to himself, but both April and Ryan heard him. Ryan just chuckled, and April looked at John with a smile. Raph then ran towards Leo and leapt up in the air and did a flip kick, but Leo dodged it. Leo blocked the incoming attacks with his sword, and when the Sais were interlocked, Leo pushed back and did a side kick towards Raphs chest, which forced him to hit the back wall and kneel. As Raph tried to get up, Leo and John noticed that his legs were wide open, which allowed Leo to sweep his leg and made Raph fall to the ground. "Damn." Ryan whispered. Don cracked a smile at that. "Stop!" Splinter called out. Leo then sheathed his swords, while Raph just stood laid down. He was a little pissed that Leo had beaten him. Again. "I nearly had ya!" "Nearly doesn't mean you did." Leo explained. Raph got to his feet and stretched his back. "You have done well, Leonardo." Splinter told him. "You are yet another step into being ahead." "Thank you, sensei." Leo bowed to him. Splinter smiled at his eldest son, then looked on towards the irritated turtle in Red mask. "Raphael, you almost were in successful in your match, but you must remember to be cautious of your guard. Had you recognized this sooner, then maybe it could have been you to win the match instead." Splinter explained. "Well, maybe, but I could've still taken him." Raph irritably said. "It's not a big deal. Sensei says you're improving. You just need to work on your balance a little more." Leo said to him. "There's nothing wrong with my balance!" Raph almost shouted but didn't. "Raph. Calm down. All I'm saying is-"

"What did I do wrong this time now?" "Raph annoyingly asked his eldest brother, as Leo was about to answer him. "Well, you're legs were spread open." John suddenly said with his arms crossed over. Everyone turned to look at him. "You had to keep the legs straight, so it would've been a lot harder to take you down." As soon as John said this, Ryan had a nervous look. Raph looked at the young boy who all of sudden had the nerve to tell him that he was messing up. Everyone else looked at him with surprising eyes, but Splinter was filled with curiosity. John recognized now that he was being stared at by everyone in the room, including one already pissed Raph. "Oh, crap." Raph then walked up to him, which made John a little nervous. "What did you just say?" John, despite being a little nervous, stood straight and didn't show any signs. "I learned that having your legs wide open would've given your opponent the opportunity to take you down." "Oh really?" "Yes." "Um, maybe we should just head back out and forget what just happened." Ryan tried defending John. "No. Jonathan seems to be clearly familiar with martial arts. Perhaps he would like to demonstrate himself." Splinter replied and looked at John with curious eyes.

"What?" Raph turned to look at his sensei. "Master, are you sure?" Leo asked him. He didn't want things to get out of hand. "That is up to Jonathan himself." Splinter said and then turned to John, who was surprised at Splinter's reaction. "There is no pressure, young one. The choice to fight is yours. You may choose any weapon if you like." Splinter assured him. John looked at Raph, then at Leo. Leo looked concerned for John, wasn't sure if he wanted to fight. "Ok." John said to Splinter, then proceeded towards the mat on the floor. Raph looked at him with a firm look. "Way to go, John. Why didn't I just keep my mouth shut?" John whispered to himself. Splinter pointed to the sparring weapons that were placed on a rack behind him. John nodded at Splinter in gratitude. On the Rack, there was a sword, two kali sticks, Sais, Nun chucks, bow, and some kind of Japanese Heavy weapon. John could fight possibly with a bow but trained with his dad mostly with a wooden practice sword, or two kali metal sticks. John grabbed the two sticks and was about to head towards the mat, when Splinter stopped him. "Do not worry, Jonathan. Is it alright if I may call you that?" John nodded at him, still a little surprised. "You have nothing to fear." Splinter assured him. John nodded again and headed to the mat. Raph just smirked and shook his head. He pulled out his two Sais, well John just stood there and got into his stance. "Ya ready, kid?" "No." John stated. Everyone else was anxious about how things would go from here, but the most anxious one of all was Leo. "Guys, Now I don't think is the time." Casey blurted.

"Tell that to the new guy over here!" Raph grunted. John stood in a serious position, getting ready for Raphs attack. Ryan looked at his friend and wondered what it is that he can do at the moment. As Raph ran towards John, John moved out of the way. He was still trying to figure out how he can best approach the fight. "Can John even fight? Not that I'm saying he can't or anything, but… well… I'm afraid what Raph will do." Don whispered to Ryan. "We were taught a few things when were young." Ryan whispered back. "I'm not so sure about this…" Leo walked to them and was worried. "Don't worry, guys. I'm sure everything's gonna be cool." Mikey said to the others. Leo looked at the sparring match, still unconvinced that Raph was going to go easy on John. Raph tried attacking with the Sais, but John was able to block and counter his attacks. Leo saw this thing and started to smile. "He does have talent." Ryan smiled at that. "I know, right?"

"So, what's your play here?" Raph asked John as he was starting to get ready for another attack. "What?" John asked him, trying to catch his breath. "You and your little sidekick over there." Raph said and started lunging at him. John tried blocking these attacks, but Raph got a few cuts in. "Ya come into our home and expect us to believe that you're not working with anyone?!" Raph then was able to use his Sais to knock the sticks out of John's hands. John was actually surprised and impressed by that. Raph saw this, and while he didn't trust the kid, he put his Sais back away and still tried fighting him using Hand-to-hand, because he didn't believe in fighting unfair. "Just because the others trust you and your little friend, doesn't mean I have to!" John took a few blows in, but something also happened during this. He started to see little images in his head, both flashbacks and visions. The punch to the stomach:

Dad teaching him Ryan and Asia Martial arts.

John wasn't paying attention and turned when Raph threw another Punch:

His mother hugging and kissing his forehead.

Another Punch, but John dodged it:

Asia hugging her older brother.

John ruffling Koby's hair.

John, in some outfit, fighting with a sword.

Another hood figure from a past event, fighting off others who were trying to kill him.

John was kicked in the stomach which caused him to fall face first. "John!" Ryan called out, making his way towards John, but Splinter motioned for him to stop. As bad it may seem, Splinter knew his son wouldn't go too far. John started to get up, but then started to. Somehow, he felt more strength and agile. 'Do not give up, my child. Do not be afraid.' A voice inside of his head encouraged him to stand and not back down. Whatever the voice was, this gave John strength and encouragement. He got up quickly and turned towards Raph. "Ready for some more?" John looked at him with a serious expression. Ryan saw that look in his eyes, and all of a sudden, he also started to feel a little different. Good different. "Don't say I never warned ya, kid!" Raph started punching, but John dodged it. Everyone was surprised at that last punch. Raph was confused. He started punching right jab, John dodged it. Left punch to the stomach, John moved. Raph had enough and started going for that right hook, but John just used both of his hands, wrists, to block it. "Wow." Leo said. Raph and John looked at what happened, and John turned back to attention quickly. Raph got out of it, and managed to hit John in the face, but John didn't go down. Raph threw another, and John ducked, but hit Raph in the abdomen area. Raph threw more right and left punches, but John moved quickly left and right of the opposite way of the fist. Raph tried again, but John parried the straight punch, and also managed to hit Raph in the face. Raph tried blocking, but John hit him again in the stomach. Until Raph had his guard down, John kept hitting him in the same area. After the fourth hit, John took this opportunity to perform an uppercut. This caused Raph to fall on his back. John moved back a little and was breathing a little harder. Raph felt his jaw hurt and looked at the kid all surprised. Splinter stood there in amazement at such speed the young boy had. Ryan had his mouth a little open. He knew John was a good fighter and all, but this was something else. Something new. He felt it as well. John was a little taken back at the match. He looked around a little, to see everyone in awe, and then, at his hand. "Dude! That was awesome!" Mikey exclaimed with an amazed smile, Don nodded his head, April and Casey just smiled at him. John then gazed at Leo, and he gave a thumbs up, and this made John smile a little. Raph was sitting up and all, and John glanced down at him. He walked towards Raph and offered his hand to help him up. "You alright?" Raph looked at Johns hand and then at him. He was angry that a newcomer was able to beat him. He pushed the hand aside and stood up. "That was luck!" "I don't know man. It seemed like he just put you in your place." Casey smirked at him. Raph casted an annoyed glare at him. "Dude, he was kicking the crap out of you!" Mikey excitedly said to his red masked brother. "Michelangelo. Calm yourself." Splinter reminded him. "Heh. Sorry, Sensei." Mikey rubbed the back of his head. "This is Bull!" Raphael nearly shouted. "My son. There is no need to yell." Raph wasn't having any of it. "Masta Splinter, this is exactly what I was talking about! We don't know anything about these two kids, and all of a sudden they can fight?!" "Well, he technically was the only one fighting you…" Don explained, and Leo shook his head, letting him no now was the time to correct anyone. 'Am I the only one here who sees sense?" Raph asked everyone. "Hey. Look, I'm not a bad guy. Me and Ryan aren't. I was taught to fight, yes, but not in the way you think. We both promised you and your family that we aren't telling anyone about your existence." John simply explained to him. "Well, that's easier said than done, kid, but who's to say when I do believe your story, you two won't try to have your other pals hurt my sensei, my friends and brothers."

"You don't have to believe me. Believe them." John turned his head towards the others, then looked back at Raph. "I know it's difficult but trust them. Even when things don't make sense, you trust in those you care about because they are the ones who hope that maybe things can change. Things will change, but in order for that to happen, you have to trust and believe in others." "Oh, ok, and what almighty person told you this, Christian boy?' Raph asked him. John stood there with a serious expression. "My mother." Raph saw that his voice was shaking up a little and wondered why his voice was like that. John didn't show signs of emotion, but the memory of his mother still reminded him of the sadness he felt since. "That is enough. Training is over for today. I believe we must get back to the matter at hand here." "Whateva. I still say that was luck." Raph said as he exited the dojo. John just stood there, deep in space. Everyone started to leave, except for both Leo and Ryan. "You ok, man?" Ryan asked John. "I'm fine." John crossed his arms. "That was pretty impressive. You two learned that from your father?" "Yeah, he taught us a few things, but I ain't seen nothing like that." Ryan explained, a little shoken up as to what just happened. "Like he just kicked Raph's ass. "Leo and John looked at him. "What?" "I don't know what it was, but I felt something inside. Something that felt unreal." John said to the two of them. "Like what?" Leo asked him. "I'm not sure." "Hey listen, don't worry about Raph. He just-"Leo tried explaining to him. "I'm not. I can handle him." John told Leo. Leo wasn't sure. "All I'm saying is that he's a good guy. Yeah, he's a hothead, but he means well." "I know. Believe me, I understand." "You do?" Leo asked. John nodded and half smiled. "Yeah. Of course." Leo wanted to ask what he meant by that, but maybe now wasn't a good time. "Ok." Leo started to head to Don's lab. "Hey, did you start to feel different at all? Like all of a sudden you did more than you could possibly know?" Ryan asked him. John looked at Ryan as if he was starting to understand. "You too?" "Yeah. It was weird. Like all of a sudden, I feel… strong. Not like Superman, but like average strong." John wondered if this had something to do with this medallion, It did cause him to see visions and what not. "Huh." "What do we do?" "We'll figure it out. I wouldn't worry." John assured Ryan. Ryan nodded, but still felt odd about it. He just didn't want to get into it. "Ok." John headed out the Dojo, but Ryan stayed behind just for a second. 'How the hell was John able to fight like that?' Ryan headed towards Don's lab, hoping that he and John can find the answers that they have needed since they have arrived here.

Camera angle flying over empire state building.

Hun looks out at the city in his office. He hears the elevator to his office open, and out comes both Dragonface and Johnny. "Boss." Dragonface calls out to him. Johnny feels a bit nervous, just at the sight of Hun. Ever since what happened last night, he's been a little agitated and dead fast to not screw anything else up. Hun turns to the two substitutes and sees a duffle bag Johnny is carrying. "The deal was good, I can assume?" "It went like a peach." Dragonface told Hun, then nodded towards Johnny to hand him the bag. "I'm surprised you did. I can't afford to have any more mistakes." Hun looks towards Johnny, who glanced away with guilt. "So, the weapons are all here. We got everything we need?" Dragonface asked Hun. Hun walked back to his desk and sat down. "Yes. The master will be pleased." Johnny then began to walk towards Hun. "Sir. We've been hearing about this guy a lot lately. When do we get to meet him?" "I don't think that's any of your concern. After the crap that happened yesterday, just be lucky I let you live." "I told you yester-"Johnny became angry and nearly shouted, but Dragonface stepped in. "What else do you need us to do, boss?" Johnny glanced at him, and Dragonface gave him the 'shut your mouth look'. Johnny then turned around and headed towards the entrance. "I need you two now to head Harlem. I'll meet you the two of you there, but first I have some business to take care of." "Sure thing." Dragonface headed towards the exit. As soon as he entered the hallway, Johnny walked up to him. "What the hell was that?" Johnny asked him. "What?" Dragonface pretended he didn't know what he was talking about. "You sucking up to the boss like that!" "Me?" I'm just trying to make sure your stupid ass doesn't get the both of us killed." "Yeah, it seems to me like you care so much!" "I don't. I care about only doing what he tells us to do. I care about taking over the city that's filled with low-lifes. I care about seeing the city being burned because they deserve everything they have. And you were two steps away from ruining that because you had to question him about the 'big man'." As he said this, he moved forward towards Johnny, which made him back up against the wall. "Doesn't it apply to you that maybe he isn't who we should be worried about?" Johnny asked him. "No. You embarrass me like that again, and I'll be the one that 'you' will have to worry about, got it? Now we got to meet Hun at Harlem. Let's go" Dragonface threatened him. He walked away and left Johnny to stand there, shaken up. Johnny didn't like this. At all.

Alex arrives at the crime scene where the couple was murdered. Other officers are there, keeping anyone who is not an officer away, and there is a CSI at the scene. As he was walking over to the marked bodies, Alex was greeted by another officer. "Detective." The officer said. Alex nodded, and walked underneath the yellow tape. He saw a young CSI there, who looked about to be twenty-four or twenty-five. "Hank." The Young man turned to the Detective and smiled. "Detective Anderson. I didn't know you were going to be here. Not that I don't mind you being here, but it was just surprising to-" "Nice to see you, too." Alex interrupts Hank's small nervous outburst and takes a look around the scene, notices that Hank was already hard at work. "So, I take it you're not here because you had nothing better to do, or?" Hank asks Alex. "The captain has me working on the whole Dragon and Foot case." "Ah. Makes sense." Alex looked at him in confusion, but then decided to drop the subject. "What do you get for me?" "Well besides the two dead bodies and the blood samples I gathered, there's nothing to go forward." "What about that cloth you found? Is there anything we can find out from that?" "Besides it being from one of those foot ninjas that everyone's talking about, no." Alex kneeled down at the marked bodies and tried to find any other evidence around. "Well, there has to be something." "I know how it did happen. The couple were happened to be taking a walk down the alley, when one of those ninjas was waiting for an opportunity to attack. He carried a full-tang 12 oz sword, where the handle was wrapped with a Nylon Cord Sageo. Which is interesting because most would see that as a traditional Japanese sword, but that's not entirely true, because most Japanese swords are ancient, and this one's currently a modern day version that Japanese had-""Hank." Alex stopped the CSI's little science spas. Hank got back to the point. "Anyway, when the couple saw him, I'm guessing the boyfriend tried to defend the girlfriend, and was the one that pulled the long-sleeved cloth off of him. That's when the ninja…um…" Alex looked at him confused. Hank made a motion and a noise, symbolizing the katana slice. Alex sarcastically nodded. "Uh huh." Hank awkwardly stood there while Alex continued looking around. He looked at the building next to it, where there was a ladder which may have been where the Ninja came from. "He must've dropped from there." Alex pointed at the ladder and saw a nearby dumpster. "After he murdered the two, he jumped on the dumpster and made the nearest escape." Alex pointed out all the clues and recognized that there it was. "Come on, Hank." Hank didn't know what he meant and saw that he was headed towards the apartment building. "What?" Hank then followed him, and the two of them were able to gain access to the roof. Once up there, Alex walked over to the ledge where the ninja may have dropped down from it. "It looks like he went this way." "How do you know it's a 'he'?" Hank asked. "What?" "Y'know, most ninjas can be identified as woman, too, so I was just curious to see if you did know it's a 'he', or could it possibly be a woman?" Alex shook his head at that remark. "No, it's a male. The print of boots that's up here proves it." Hank takes a look at the footprint that Alex found. "Ah." "Hank, see if you can collect this and have the sample ready and bring it to me as soon as possible." Alex and Hank left the building and stopped in front of his car. "So, you want me to gather samples off of one person?" "Way I see it, if we can find out who the killer is, we can track him down, and possibly follow his whereabouts to where he may be hiding." "And find the Foot gang." Hank said. "Exactly." Alex looked at the crime scene and saw a young, but attractive woman there.

"Excuse me, ma'am." Hank looked at the direction that the detective was walking towards and saw the same woman. "You can't be in here; this is a crime scene." "I Know. That's why I became a officer, so I can investigate murders like this." The woman replied. She was kneeling down, wearing blue jeans, a leather jacket and has women's steel toe boots on. She turns to both Alex and Hank. "Um, ok. Who are you?" Alex asked her with a hint of curiosity and sarcasm. "Diane Adams." She introduces herself and holds out her hand, which Hank accepts and shakes it. "Nice to meet you, Ms. Adams." Hank greets her in a nervous and awkward way. "Please. You can call me Diane." "Oh. Well, it's still nice to meet you." "Not that I don't mind, but what are you doing here, Ms. Adams." Alex asked her with a serious tone in his voice. Diane put back the small notebook she was carrying in her back pocket. "The captain said I would find you here. I have to tell you, though, he didn't tell me that you were this hard to find. I also thought you were younger." Diane jokingly replied to Alex. Alex was praying and hoping that this wasn't happening. "The captain told you where to find me." "Yeah." As she walked to the car, Alex couldn't believe that it was true. "Congratulation's detective. I'm your new partner." Diane got in the passenger seat of the car, as Alex and Hank just stood there. "I didn't know you had a partner." Hank said to the irritated detective. "Yeah." Alex grunted as he made his way to the car. "So, I'll have the sample out to you then?" Hank called out. Alex got into the car and drove off. "I guess that's a yes."

1:07 p.m.

Everyone except for Splinter, was in the living room listening to what Casey had to say about what happened earlier that day. "You followed them to one of their deals?" April asked Casey. Casey shrugged and nodded. "Wow. That has to be the dumbest thing that you could do, Case." Mikey mentioned, and walked towards the couch. Casey shook his head and just half-smiled. Ryan laughed at that remark. "Did anyone see you?" Leo asked Casey. "No. They were preoccupied to even notice." Casey told him. "What did you find out?" Leo asked again. Casey stood and carefully explained about the guns, how the thugs wanted to be part of the Gang, and also mentioned that apparently both the Dragons and the foot had something planned. Tonight. Everyone was a little spooked about that and looked at one another. "If something like that is happenin, shouldn't we find those guys and take them out?" Raph asked. "It's not that simple, Raph. We don't even know where to look for them. Even if we did, we have to have some sort of plan." Leo reminded him. "Well, the plan should be to attack before those low-life's even get a chance to see broad daylight." Raph firmly stated. "You probably don't see a lot of low-life's here in the city, huh?" Ryan asked him. Raph turned quickly at him, as if he just said something insulting. "All I'm saying is that we can't just go barging and expect them to drop everything and not destroy the city. We have to think this through." Leo explained to Raph. "I don't think 'thinking' is Raph's thing." Mikey said out loud in a little brother way. Raph looked at him. "Yeah. Real funny, Mike." Raph said to him. "Having a plan doesn't seem like a bad idea." Don stood up from the couch and walked towards the lab. Everyone followed him to the lab and stood there. "The computer is done scanning for the names. Maybe if we find out who's associated with the Dragons, possibly even working with them, we can track them down." "I like that." Casey told him." "So, you guys do like some serious crime-fighting stuff down here, huh?" Ryan asked him. Don glanced at Ryan and smiled. "Well, yeah. That's pretty much what we do every night." Don told him. "Cool." John just shook his head at that comment and smiled.

"So, what? We end up fighting who's with the dragons. That doesn't mean nothin." Raph told everyone. "What it means is that once we find out, we can maybe possibly end whatever they're up to." Leo understood what Don was explaining to everyone. "Yeah." Don then turned to the keyboard and started scanning the list. "Let's see. If I can just zoom in a little more, access the criminal profiles from the N.Y.P.D., and…" Once done, a whole list of names and profiles were shown on the screen. One included a man who had a dragon Tattoo all over his face and neck, another who happened to have dark blue hair, and others who appear to be with the Dragons. "Bingo. First up, we have a guy here named Dragon face, and it says here that he's a Second-in-command with the current leader of the Dragons." "April, didn't you say you saw him two nights ago?" Leo asked her. "Yeah. That's the guy right there." Leo nodded, and turned back to the screen. "Ok. Next, we have a John Menendez, a.k.a 'Johnny'." "Hey, that's that punk that attacked us yesterday." Ryan pointed at the screen. "Yeah, it says here that he has a high tolerance for violence, has shown angry outbursts, and has a reputation for loving guns. "That man sounds insane." Mikey said. "Next, we have a guy named Two-ton, Bam-Bam, and… Huh." "What's wrong?" April asked. "Well, there's just a whole lot more members here than we anticipated. Most of them are local thugs, but they also have each leader of the section. The ones that I mentioned are the new appointed leaders." "Oh great." Raph said. "So, what does this mean?" "We have a lot of work to do." Don explained. Leo looked at John and thought about the promise he made him. "Maybe we should talk about this later." Leo told Don. "Why later?" Casey asked him. John looked at Leo and Casey. Casey glanced towards John, and understood what Leo meant. Don noticed what was happening and glanced at the two boys. "I hope you guys haven't been waiting to long." "No. No, it's all good. It's actually pretty cool." Ryan replied to him. "Yeah, it is." Don and mike both agreed with him. "So, do you have it?" Leo asked John. John looked at him and nodded. "Yeah. Yeah…" he reached into his pocket and held the gold medallion. "Whoa." All of the turtles said in amazement. John laughed a little and handed the Medallion to Don. "So this is the artifact of the century?" John nodded, answering the question. Don examined the medallion and was amazed by it. From what John described, it gained him a curiosity as to how this brought his two new friends to the city. "No wonder why you love history so much." Casey mentioned, and nodded to John. John smiled at that remark. "There's also some words on here. Three words. Nozumu, Meiyo and Unmei?" Don examined the object more carefully. "It's Japanese." Everyone looked at John. "I actually have the whole note right here." John handed the small paper to Don. "Wow. It is a Haiku." "Yeah. The three words are associated with that proverb right in there." "You speak Japanese?" April asked him. "Well, I can read some of it, but I still need to work on my language." John quickly explained. Leo, April and Don were impressed. Raph even admitted that the kid was smart, but he didn't say that out loud. Although he didn't trust the two boys, he was impressed. "What do you make of it, Don?" Leo walked up to the chair behind Don and took a look at the artifact. "Well, I can scan it and see that maybe there's like a cosmic wave of energy on here or something, but it may take some time." Don told his older brother, who agreed and understood. "That's fine." John assured him. "Are you sure? I'm dead serious on helping you two boys' figure this whole thing out." Don told them. "Yeah. I'm sure." John knew that the others had also other problems they need to take care of. "Absolutely. Mike, I'm still down for those things you planned out for us." Ryan told Mikey, who glanced at him with an excited expression. "For real?" "Of course." Ryan said. Mikey excitedly got up and ran to his room to get the things he planned to entertain Ryan with. "Well, I guess he'll be occupied for a while. Leo, April, maybe we can work out a plan on how to find these guys and whatnot." Don told the three of them and they all agreed. "Do you need help?" John asked them. The others looked at John, and Leo walked towards him. "No, it's ok. We got it from here." Leo told him. John was about to say something, but Raph interrupted. "Yeah. There's nothing we definitely need your help with, kid." Raph aggressively told him, which earned him a firm and serious glare from Leo. "Why don't you hang out with Casey for a while, Raph?" Leo reminded him. "Yeah, man. I could most likely help you in the Garage." Casey told the red masked turtle, who looked at both Leo and Casey as if they had gone nuts, over a 15-year-old boy. Raph scoffed, but headed towards the garage anyway, while Casey followed, but after turning to the others and gave them a thumbs up, letting them know that this conversation would be handled. Leo nodded in thanks and turned back to John. "Wow." John said to the blue masked turtle, who chuckled a bit at that dramatic phrase. "Yeah." "I'm not trying to cause anything here- "John quickly said but was stopped by Leo. "You're not. Don't worry about him." John nodded, but still felt uneased about it. He would try not to. 'Why don't you go ahead and see my master. He would like to have a word with you about what happened in the Dojo." "Wow. That must be pretty exciting." April told John. "Yeah." Don agreed with that statement. "Uh…" John was unsure and confused why Splinter would want to see anyone, least of all him. "Hey. It's ok. Go on ahead." Leo assured him and smiled. John was hesitant but listened to Leo. He made his way towards the lair, and as Leo looked back, he continued thinking about the promise he had made. No matter what was in the way, he would make sure that he would honor the promise to help and protect his new friend.

Meanwhile, as Raph and Casey entered the garage, Casey lifted the white blanket that covered what would appear to be a red and green motorcycle. "Alright, let's see if we can get this bad boy rolling." Casey said. He was hoping that he would also try to have Raph calm down a bit and have him see sense. "Yeah. That would be nice." "So, what do you think?" Casey asked his hotheaded friend and grabbed a toolbox that was nearby on a stoll. "The engine. Last time, it was the brake lines, but since we took care of that problem- " Raph explained. "Already on it." Casey then grabbed a torque wrench and a filter gauge, while Raph held the micrometer. "Raph, I'm telling you, once we have this vehicle running like it should be, it will be easier out on the road." "Yeah. Next time though, I ain't letting ya ride it, Case." Raph cracked a joke and smiled at his Boneheaded friend. "Hey. I told ya what happened with the bike was an accident. Like I said, I took it out, drove it around Bleecker Street, found some Dragon thugs, and fought them with it. It ain't my fault that the Dragons were planning on having me fall off and run into a dumpster." Casey smiled but defensively proclaimed to Raph. "Yeah, yeah." Raph rolled his eyes at that comment, knowing Casey wasn't getting all the fact straight. As they continued trying to fix the cycle, Raph then started thinking about the fight earlier today. Casey noticed that angered and frustrated look and decided to ask his red masked pal what it was. "I don't know Case. It's just… sometimes I just wish all of you can see my point of view for once." "Raph." Casey replied to his friend, and Raph then looked at him again. "I understand how you feel, believe me. It's a whole new thing to worry about too, but you have got to stop it with the whole 'trust' issue thing. If those kids were really dangerous, they would've done something that could've made me agree with you." "So, you're ok with them knowing who we are and believe their story?" "They haven't said anything otherwise." Casey told Raph. Raph wanted to believe that both John and Ryan were dangerous, but maybe Casey was right. He didn't like it, but there was nothing he can do. He still felt a little odd. "What about that boy who got lucky this morning? Are we just gonna ignore the fact that he knows how to fight and what not?" Casey was confused at this. "Who, John?" "Yeah. Him. The Christian boy." Raph firmly stated. Casey then looked at Raph and stood up for a second. "What about him?" "Well… He said something about his mother." "Yeah. He had a father too apparently." Casey stated, and this earned Raph's attention. "What do you mean 'had?'" "Both his parents and brother were killed in a Car accident." Raph was taken back by those words. His parents and brother were dead? Raph felt a little sorry for John. "Maybe next time you'll go easier on the guy, huh?" Casey said to him, as he got back down underneath the cycle, while Raph stood their thinking about what was said. Raph heard what Casey said, but while he still couldn't fully trust the two boys, he still felt that maybe he was a bit to hard on them.

Hey there, guys. It's been a few months I know, but I am finished with part 2, and will be working on part 3 now. I wanted to make long chapters and have it be like particular episodes, but I felt that maybe this would be a little easier for now. Later on, I do plan on making it into be full on chapters with hardly any parts at all. Lol. Anyway, please leave a review on the story and let me know what you think. I plan on making this a really good story with action, drama, some comedy and romance. I found some more actor choices that I would feel would be pretty good if this was a T.V. series. Ryan, John's best friend, I found interesting could be played by (Tom Holland). I liked him in Spiderman and thought that this would be interesting. For April, I thought about it, and decided to change it too… Emma Watson. If you don't know her, research her. She's a pretty good actress and a friend requested her choice for April's Character. Hun (John Cena), Johnny Menedez (Alex Hogh Andersen), Dragon face (Joseph Mawle) Captain Astin (Donald Lough) Alex Anderson (Sam Worthington) Diane Adams (Shantel VanSanten) and Hank, who would either be played by Ecko Kellum or King Bach. I enjoyed working on this, and now that summer is here, I hope to have more free time to work on this story. I hope you'd all enjoy it and will deliver you a good superhero story. Love y'all 3000 and good night!
