bunk edition

The 501st were parked a few miles and had been there long enough to set up camp. Anakin and Ahsoka set up their tents next to each other. While dinner was cooking, an animal bumped a boulder that came rolling down and squashed both tents. When the pair came back, they realized that they had to get new ones, but it was now late. Anakin comments, "Guess we're bunking with the clones."

They both pick a bed in the clone's massive tent and Anakin orders, "I don't want any chatter boxes."

"Yes, sir!" the clones shout in unison.

Ahsoka wraps herself in a blanket and climbs onto her bunk, commenting, "Hopefully I won't have a repeat of last time."

"Don't worry, Commander, I already informed everyone not to play with your bellybutton." Rex assures her.

She smiles, "Thank you." then goes to sleep. The clones climb into their bunks and go to sleep. (Some of them anyway.) after a few hours, the temperature drops, sending in a cold breeze. Fives shivers and climbs on to Echo's bunk above him. He crawls under the covers and curls on top of him like a dog. Echo's shivering slows and he shifts so that Five's elbow wasn't in his ribcage. Jessie does the same to Kix, and so does another clone to his brother, and so on. No one really wanted to cuddle Anakin. Ahsoka shivers and Rex responds by getting up and curling on top of her, not caring that she was five foot and petite. She wakes up and states, squished, "I'm not a pillow."

"Mmm." he responded.

She shifts around until he wasn't squishing her so much, then mutters, "I have the choice of freezing to death, or loosing my right arm... I'd rather loose the arm." the temperature drops farther and the clones went from two to four. The folding bunks start to strain from the weight. Fives and Echo climb down and climb on Rex. Ahsoka sticks her arm out between them and gives a muffled shout, "Master! Help! I'm being buried alive!"

Anakin shivers and wakes up. He spots free blankets and grabs a few, then climbs back into bed, "Night, snips."

she gives a muffled scream, "MASTER, ECHO'S ARMPIT'S IN MY FACE!" Echo moves his arm and she gasps, only to inhale Fives' breath, "Oh that's so much worse!" then the beds break off their folding hinges and the bunks collapse. Ahsoka groans, "I think I prefer freezing."

Anakin awakes the next day and finds Ahsoka laying on the floor and three clones on her bed. He stands over her, "What are you doing in the dirt?"

she looks up at him, "Hi, master. I'm just lying here after three hours of climbing out from under three men sized toddlers. Who sleep like rock. After I get my circulation back, I'm going to ask the council to give me a portable heater and six spare tents." Fives and Echo stretch, pushing Rex off. He flails, then lands on Ahsoka. "If I survive this." she comments in pain. Echo pushes Fives off the bed, adding to the weight.

Anakin smiles and leaves, "Good luck with that."

"Master!"
