*Rimuru's Perspective*
Immediately after I placed my palm on her hand, I felt the familiar sensation of us teleporting elsewhere. The next instant, we were standing on an expensive looking carpet in the middle of a tea room. Next to me was a long couch, which Shiro promptly sat down on, before grabbing a cup of tea from the coffee table in front of us.
To my right, on a different chair was a small girl, probably 13 years old or so wearing quite the interesting set of clothing. The collar of her outfit was white and fluffy, from which there were 8 long braid-like appendages stretching down to her feet.
Her clothing itself was also quite skimpy, but I'll skip the description of that, otherwise Ciel will get mad at me for ogling at another girl.
{Hmph.}
As if people randomly teleporting in was a daily occurrence, the girl had no reaction, and simply sat there in silence, presumably waiting for something to happen.
I was interested in the tea they were drinking, so while I was waiting for someone to say something, I reached out and poured myself a nice cup of tea.
I would rate it a 9/10. Overall, the tea was pretty good, but I've had some excellent teas over the years, and in the end, this tea couldn't compare.
We sat like this for a good 30 seconds before finally the girl spoke up.
"Hey White. Who's this? Don't tell me you interrupted my tea time to bring in more unimportant demons again."
"A God", Shiro replied.
"Huh? Sorry, could you say that again?"
"A God"
…
"This isn't time for you to play around, ok?"
"Not playing. Real god."
"Hmph. Looks like she's telling the truth. Guess I'd better introduce myself then. My name is Ariel, and I'm the current Demon Lord. Nice to meetcha!"
Demon Lord? They have Demon Lords here also?
{Singular, not plural. There is only 1 Demon Lord here.}
Still.. She doesn't look much older than 14.
{Master looked like a 16 year old when he was a Demon Lord.}
True, I guess. Looks can be deceiving. Since she seems quite talkative, let's try to get some information out of her.
"I'm Rimuru Tempest, and I come from a time long, long ago in a galaxy far, far away."
Well the galaxy part isn't entirely accurate.
"You know Star Wars too?"
"Of course. I watched all 5 trilogies in theatres too, you know."
"Glad to see a fellow fan. Wait… 5? Weren't there only 3? I thought they just finished the 3rd trilogy?"
"Ah. I got bored one day and traveled through time to binge watch all of them at one."
"Huh. Well you seem like an interesting one. So. What did your highness want with White over there? I can already tell she did something wrong."
"Why 'your highness'?"
"Oh please, the way you're talking just sounds like the tone a king would talk in. It's fairly obvious."
"I see. Well to be honest…"
I then gave a brief made-up story about how I, a lonely wandering god from a distant galaxy, decided to travel through the universe, and ended up crashing into this planet a few thousand years ago. There's no need for them to know about Azathoth or any of the shenanigans that happened as a result of that.
I then asked Ariel to tell me more about the system, as that piece of magic seemed quite interesting. After all, it turned this world into a game, complete with skills and levels. While it would be all too easy for me to snap my fingers and fully revive the planet, I felt that it was none of my business.
Since I was never directly involved in any of the events leading up to this planet's destruction, it wouldn't sit right with me to needlessly meddle in the planet's affairs; even if I did create the planet in the first place. Speaking of magic, as it turns out, the gods of this universe decided to call magicules "MA Energy" for some unknown reason.
Well, that would make sense, as no one was around to tell them that was the correct name. I'm sure some god along the way just came up with the term 'MA Energy' on a whim, and that it's stuck ever since.
Anyways, Ariel explained about how the system was a means of supporting the planet's MA Energy by continually harvesting excess energy from people's souls to slowly rebuild the planet. From her explanation, up until several thousand years ago, the planet was actually quite prosperous and was doing well, until humanity discovered MA Energy and quickly led itself down the road of self-destruction.
Hey Ciel, how much longer does this planet have left?
{10 years, 3 months, 12 days, 7 hours, 11 minutes, and 47 seconds. At the end of this time, the planet's core will no longer be able to function, causing imminent implosion and the death of the planet.}
I asked for a general time, not a doomsday countdown!
"So. What are you going to do about this?" I asked.
Ariel then explained their plan to me, along with the occasional added commentary from Shiro.
"Thank you for telling me all this, but are you sure you can trust me? Doesn't this plan seem like some sort of big deal if it got leaked?"
"I believe that you'll want to see this through."
"Hm. True enough. Hang on, give me just a minute. Some bothersome things came up."
Both Ariel and Shiro tilted their heads to the side in confusion, since they didn't understand what I was talking about. What I was referring to was the fact that some bothersome gods had decided to crash our party.
They weren't exactly here yet, but Ciel told me that they would arrive within the current solar system in a few seconds.
UGHH. Why do these kinds of gods always keep looking for a fight against me?
{Because Master's equipment is too tempting for them. They can detect the aura emanating off of Master and are too greedy for it.}
I know that already.
Fine. If they want my equipment so badly, let's give it to 'em.
{Hehehe.}
So I quickly teleported myself into space a fair bit of distance away from the planet, and patiently waited for these 'gods' to show up.
10 seconds later, they arrived and came to a halt in front of me.
Upon inspection, I noticed their forms were quite peculiar. Most of them were Titans, and had bodies the size of planets. Most of them were humanoid-shaped, ignoring their huge size. All of them were made out of various materials such as rocks, crystals, etc.
Using telepathy to communicate since we were in space, I asked them,
"Hey what's the deal with you guys? You know you can't just invade another planet for fun, right?"
"HAHAHA! A tiny god like you dares to talk to us, the Prideful Titans that way. Let me make this short for you. Submit to us, give us your equipment, and tell us the secret to your strength, and we shall spare your life!"
"Do you even know who you're talking to? Actually, you don't need to answer that. I suppose it HAS been 4.6 billion years."
"That was quite an amusing joke! Very well. Since you don't seem to have the slightest intention of obeying, we shall have to use force.", the leader of the Titans said, as the rest of them took an offensive stance and prepared to attack.
"Sigh. I suppose this marks the 1,483,063th battle I've had with a god."
{1,483,064th. The encounter you had earlier with Shiro could be classified as a battle.}
What?! You're telling me that that was a battle? I didn't even notice any form of attack!
{Fufu. I suppose Master is just too strong.}
"Well since you seem to be all gung-ho about fighting me, I'll respect that and show off a little too."
Are you ready, Az?
[Indeed. Your order is my command, my Master], a deep voice rumbled back.
Of course, the owner of this voice was none other than Azathoth, the Manas born from Ultimate Skill [Void God Azathoth].
Make sure to limit the power to the planetary level, ok?
[Roger]
With that, I pulled out my favorite sword out of my imaginary space, and brandished it while it was still in its sheath. Upon seeing the sword, all of the Titans instinctively recoiled in fear due to the dark aura rolling off of the sheath.
"Allow me to explain. This here is my favorite sword called 'Singularity'. It shall be the end of you. Be honored that your lives shall be taken by this ultimate weapon."
'Singularity' was created by me at the beginning of existence, and has been with me ever since. You could say that the age of the sword transcends all of existence. I created it from pure Nihility Energy, the ultimate chaos energy of the cosmos. The reason why it wasn't made out of metal or any other physical substance was simple: it was created during Azathoth's awakening. When I had to put Azathoth back to sleep, I let a sliver of him remain awake. This sword is the embodiment of that sliver of Azathoth's consciousness and contains a fragment of his power. The purpose of the sheath is to act as a seal on Azathoth's power. If the sword were to ever be fully unsheathed, the entire multiverse would instantly be devoured by the sword. There was no need for a swing; simply by being unsealed, the power of Azathoth would immediately bring an end to all, including all abstract concepts of time and space. Thankfully, since 'Singularity' only embodied a small fragment of Azathoth's consciousness and power, the destruction would only extend to the local multiverse, and not all of existence.
The color of the blade was pitch black, being the definition of the void itself. It was even blacker than a black hole, as a black hole only absorbs matter and physical elements, while this blade also absorbs all abstract concepts such as time as well. The blade itself was shaped like a katana, while the handle had a mystic dark bluish-purple glow. The total number of people or gods who had ever seen me take out this sword and lived to tell the tale was exactly -1.
(A/N: Hehe. The sword also absorbs concepts such as the concept of 'being countable'. That's why it's -1 and not 0)
With that dramatic declaration of death, I grabbed the handle with my right hand, and the sheath with my left. With a Clink, I unsheathed the sword a fraction of a millimeter, revealing the pitch black blade within the sheath. In an instant, an uncountable number of cuts appeared on the Titans' bodies, completely disintegrating them into dust. The next moment, I resheathed the sword, and all of the Titans were gone, greedily devoured by Azathoth.
But that wasn't the only thing that happened. Using Universal Sense, I detected a slight problem. The Sun had also disintegrated and been devoured.
Oops. Better fix that real quick.
With a wave of my hand, I recreated the Sun and put it back in its proper place. Less than 10 seconds had passed, so hopefully nothing major happened as a result. I then stored 'Singularity' back into my imaginary space, and teleported back to the Demon Lord's Castle.
