Two weeks had passed since the trial, and knowing that Harry did not win the trial, he was still trying to weasel his way into Melody's life. It had gotten to a point where he was still trying to take her out of school, making it to where if he entered the building, the school was allowed to call the police.

"I can switch their schools, Mal," Ben said as he and Mal drove away from Belle and Adam's house. Belle and Adam always wanted to have the kids spend the night, and it got so often that they stayed over there almost half the week. "It would make both of us feel better, knowing that he won't know what school they are in."

"I know it would make us feel better, but they love their school," Mal said. "They have friends and I would hate to move them when they have four months left," she told him.

Ben nodded his head in agreement, knowing how hard it would be for the kids if they were to move schools in February. He just didn't want Harry to get a hold of one of his kids. Plus, the school had been taking the extreme measures to make sure that the kids were safe.

"What do you want to do if he doesn't stop?" Ben asked as he laced his fingers through Mal's. "We can move to a different apartment? Move the kids to different schools next year? Get a restraining order against him?"

"I don't want to just get up and move them when they are happy where they are," she said. "I just don't understand why he wants to have a relationship with her," she said as she threw her head back against the seat. "It's so random. He never wanted anything to do with her. I had sent him pictures of her from when she was born to when she was two, and he would send them back and even blocked my number until he called me the first time."

"Did he tell you why he wants to finally be a dad?"

"No," she said. "All he said was that he would like to meet her," she told him as they continued to drive through the streets of New York. "I always wanted Melody to have a relationship with her dad, but she didn't want to meet him, and I am never going to force her to do something she doesn't want to do."

"And that's a good thing," Ben told her. "Mal, you are an amazing mom. It's obvious that you would want Melody to have a relationship with her dad, anyone would want their kids to have a good relationship with their parents," he said.

Mal knew he was right. She wanted Melody to have a relationship with Harry, but if Melody didn't want to, she wasn't going to make her. Just like no one made her have a relationship with her mom.

"And you are an amazing mom, because you put Melody first," he said, making her look up at him as they pulled back into the parking garage. "But, let's not think about Harry anymore. We have the place to ourselves, and the kids are not going to be back until tomorrow night."

Mal nodded her head, before both of them got out of the car and headed inside. When they walked to the elevator, Ben punched in the code for the penthouse, but the code didn't work.

"What's going on?" Mal asked.

"I don't know," Ben said as he tried the code again and this time it said 'call maintenance. "I'm going to call maintenance," he said as he pulled out his phone. "Hi, this is Benjamin Anderson and I am in the parking garage, trying to put the code into the elevator, but it says an error and that I need to call maintenance… yes… no, neither Mallory nor I have been home all day… 7 people… Mallory, myself, my parents, Mallory's dad, my friend Jay, and Mallory's friend Evilyn… the kids were with us the entire day… okay… we'll wait here, thank you," he said and then hung up the phone. "They are coming up here," he said. "Apparently the code was used too many times, but it was the wrong code."

"Ben, I know I'm paranoid about the whole Harry thing, but do you think…"

"I don't know, babe," he said. "But, I'm not going to say it's impossible."

The couple waited in the parking garage until they saw a maintenance guy walking toward them.

"Sam," Ben said. "Thank you for coming. We don't know why the code isn't working."

"I'll take a look," Sam said as he walked past Ben and gave Mal a small smile. "Good evening, Miss Mal."

"Hello, Sam," she said as she took a step to the side, letting him enter the elevator so he could look.

Sam examined the code reader for a couple of minutes, trying to see what was going on.

"Well, it looks like you have been locked out, Ben," Sam said as he shook his head. "Are you sure no one came over?"

"I'm positive," he said. "The kids were with us, my parents were at home, Mal's dad and friend are both out of town, and Jay was with his girlfriend."

"We're going to have to change the code again," he said.

"Okay," Ben said as he shook his head.

"Let's head down to my office, and we can change it and maybe see on the cameras, who was here."

Mal and Ben followed Sam to the first floor of the apartment complex, and to a small office full of cameras.

"Okay," Sam said as he took a seat at his desk. "Let's get a new passcode set up, so you can get into your apartment," he said as he logged into his computer. "What would you like the passcode to be?"

"72119," Ben said, making Mal look at him with a curious look. "It's the day I hired you," he said.

"Or the day we met?" she asked, making Ben's cheeks flush.

"Okay," Sam said, making the couple look at him. "That is all done. Now, let's look to see who was typing the wrong code," he said as he turned the screen for Mal and Ben to see.

They watched the screen as Sam forwarded through the clip. They saw both of them leave with the kids this morning for breakfast, and the rest was just an empty garage, until Mal saw a figure in the corner of the screen.

"Who's that?" she asked as she sat on the edge of her seat. "Just there," she said as she pointed to the screen.

Sam and Ben squint their eyes, trying to figure out who the figure was. Their bag was to the camera, and they were wearing a hood.

"Sam, play the clip so we can see if they turn," Ben said.

Sam clicked a key on his keyboard, but didn't fast forward. They saw the figure trying to enter the code multiple times, but each time the elevator didn't open. The person kicked the door in frustration before turning to show their face.

"Ben, it's Harry," Mal said as she covered her mouth.

"Fuck," he said as he hung his head. "We're moving."

"Ben…"

"No, Mal," he said, cutting her off. "He tried to break into our home. You could have been there. Our kids could have been there. I'm not going to have him lurking around the parking garage waiting for you, the kids, or you and the kids to get home."

"Ben, we can't just get up and move," Mal said. "We literally just talked about it in the car, and he didn't even get in."

"Mal…"

"I know, but what do we do?" she asked.

"Do you have any pictures of him?" Sam asked.

"I don't anymore," Mal said. "We could probably find one of him on social media."

"If you can find me a picture, we can post it on our watch list, and if he is seen on any camera or on the premises, we can call the police."

"Would that be better?" Mal asked before she looked back over at Ben, and saw him running his hand through his hair.

"It's better, but if he tries something stupid again we're moving."

"Okay," Mal said as she nodded her head.

Ben and Mal walked out of the office, and up to the apartment.

"Well, at least he didn't try the front door," Mal said as she and Ben walked through the front door, and she put her purse on the entable.

"You're not making me want to stay here if you keep saying that," Ben said as he closed the closet door from hanging his jacket up.

"I can have my dad put security cameras in the hallway, in here, and he can put more locks on the front door just in case he tries it," she offered. "And the cameras can be connected to your phone, and you won't even be able to see them. And to top it all off, we can buy those little apple tags so we can put them on the kids backpacks."

"Mal," Ben said as he walked over to the couch and sat down. "The apple tag thing is a great idea, and I'll buy those tomorrow, but I am wondering how I have known you for almost a year, we have been dating for 6 almost 7 month, and I have no idea what your dad does for a living," Ben said.

Mal flopped on the couch and threw herself over Ben's lap.

"If I tell you, he might have to kill you," she said with a laugh, making Ben huff a laugh.

"Is he a spy or something?" he asked. "He's always out of town, and whenever I ask him what he does, he laughs," he said.

"Ben," she said as she pinched his cheek. "Evie doesn't even know what he does."

"How does Evie not know?" he asked.

"Ben," she said as she sat up. "What my dad does is different. All I can tell you is that he is very good at his job, and is a very protective person of his family."

"Fine," he said, "I won't push it, but if he can put cameras and better locks on the door that would be great," he said as he pulled her across his lap.

"Okay," she said as she rested her head on his shoulder. "I'll call him when he gets back into town."

"Thank you," he said as he stroked her hair. "So, what do you want to do tonight? Movie? Go out? Take out?"

"Why not order in, and a movie in bed?" she offered. "We haven't had a night with just the two of us in a couple of months. Your parents may have the kids a lot, but you have been staying late at the office, and by the time you are home I'm asleep. And when you are home, we don't get to be alone because half our bed is occupied by the kids," she said with a laugh.

"I know," he said as he threw his head back. "I feel like I haven't spent much time with you either, but I don't have a ton of cases right now, so I'm all yours."

"Yeah," she said as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "But that's only until the kids come home."

"Well then let's make the most of it," he said as he brought her chin up, and connected her lips.

They continued to kiss for a couple of minutes before it started to get heated. Mal was still sitting over his lap, before he scooped her up, into his arms, and stood up. He started to walk them toward their room, making Mal pull away from their kiss to look at him.

"What about take out?" she asked as Ben continued to walk to their room, and stopped at the door.

"It's New York," he said as he opened the door and stepped inside. "Things are going to be open all night." he told her, making her laugh.

"Only fast food," she said as she smiled at him.

"Then McDonalds it is," he said, making her laugh again. "Plus, I'm in the mood for something else right now," he said as he kicked the door shut, and made her laugh.

Two months later, nothing else happened with Harry, and both Mal and Ben were very relieved. They had bought the kids apple tags, which were great, the only thing they needed to work on was having Melody keep it on her backpack and not to play with it.

"Mommy?" Melody called as she and Mal were walking out of the hair salon.

Mal and Melody had a mommy daughter day, while Ben took Jackson to a baseball game with Jay. Mal had gotten her hair done while Melody got her hair cut and styled, and they had gotten their nails done too. It had been the first time since the girls had moved in that they had a day with just the two of them, and they were both enjoying the day, but also missed Jackson and Ben too.

"Yes, baby?" Mal said as she took Melody's hand into hers before they crossed the street.

"Is Benny going to be my dad?" she asked.

Mal froze. She didn't know what to say, and in all honesty she never even thought about it. When they were across the street, Mal pulled Melody off to the side and crouched down next to her.

"What do you mean?" Mal asked.

"Well, Benny is your boyfriend,' she said, making Mal nod her head in understanding. "What does that make him to me?"

Mal looked at her daughter, now understanding her confusion. She never thought that taking a nanny position would lead her into finding the most perfect boyfriend.

"Well, I don't know, baby," Mal said. "Benny and I aren't married, but I know he loves you like you are his daughter, just like I love Jackson like I love you."

"I love Benny like I love you," she said.

"That's good, baby," Mal said. "But just because Benny and I are boyfriend and girlfriend doesn't mean you have to call him dad or daddy. Jackson doesn't call me mom or mommy," Mal said. "But what has you asking about that?"

"Well, mommy's day is coming up in a month," she said as she rocked back and forth on her heels. "And Jackson was asking me if he could make you a mother's day card at school," she said.

"What did you tell him?"

"I told him he could, but I wanted to ask you if on daddy's day, if I can make a card for Benny, Papa, and Papa Adam?" she asked. "Jackson said I could, but I wanted to ask you too."

Mal smiled. She loved that she asked Jackson, and that Jackson had asked her.

"You know who you should ask is Benny," she said.

"But what if he says no?" she asked as she started to sway back and forth.

"Well, you'll never know unless you ask."

"Can I ask him later?" she asked. "Maybe after mother's day?"

"Yes, baby," Mal said as she kissed Melody's cheek and took her hand into hers.

"Or it could be a surprise," Melody said, making Mal laugh.

"That is an idea too," she said. "Are you ready to go to the market so we can get dinner, and wait for the boys to get home?"

Melody nodded her head, making Mal smile. Mother and daughter walked to the farmers market, not knowing that someone was following them from a distance.

A couple of weeks later, Mal was laying in bed when she heard giggles running into the room. Ben had a meeting, which he didn't want to go to, but had to attend. Melody and Jackson crawled onto the bed, making Mal smile.

"Happy Mother's Day!" they shouted as they jumped on Mal, making her laugh.

She sat up and saw Jackson and Melody sitting on the edge of the bed with colorful papers in their hands.

"Thank you," she said. "What is all of that?" she asked as she pointed to the papers.

"There for you," Jackson said as he and Melody held out the colorful papers to her.

Mal took the papers out of their hand, and saw that they had made her mother's day cards. They were so cute, and Mal smiled when she read them, and she didn't miss the part where Jackson called her mama.

"Thank you," she said as she brought both kids into a hug. "I love them!"

After they had gotten ready for the day and were about to leave, the doorbell rang. Mal looked at the door in confusion. She pulled out her phone to look at the camera, and saw it was a man with a big bouquet of flowers. She told the kids to go to their rooms, before opening the door.

"Hello?" she said as she opened the door.

"Hi," a young man said as he smiled at Mal. "I have a delivery for Mallory Drakos."

"Um… that's me," she said.

"Then these are for you," he said as he gave Mal the big bouquet.

They were beautiful. A big bouquet of red roses and sunflowers. She wasn't expecting anything, so this was a surprise to her.

"And may I say," he said, making Mal look back at them. "Happy Mother's day."

"Thank you," Mal said as she smiled at the man and closed the door.

She walked to the kitchen, and placed the flowers into a vase. When she turned the flowers in the vase she saw a white card, sticking out of the back. She pulled it out and read the note and couldn't help but smile.

Do you know the real meaning of selfless love?

It's the mother's love.

Thank you for being the best mom.

Happy Mother's Day

Love, Ben

Her heart warmed as she smelled the flowers. She wasn't expecting anything from anyone, let alone Ben. She placed the card next to the vase, before going to get the kids.

"Jackson?" Mal called as she peaked her head into his room.

He was standing in the corner with his back to the door, and he was putting something in a box.

"What are you doing honey?" She asked, making Jackson turn to look at her.

"I was… I was um…" he stuttered as he looked back at the box.

"What's that?" She asked.

He held the box in his hand and looked down at it shyly.

"It's a box with letters in it," he said.

"Letters from who?"

"Me," he said as he kept his eyes on the box.

Mal sat on the edge of the bed before Jackson looked up at her.

"To how?" Mal asked.

"My mom," he said as he moved the box side to side.

When he opened the box to show her, Mal saw that there were paper hearts, small dead flowers, and other folded up papers inside.

"What are those?" she asked as she pointed at the papers.

"I made her things on Valentines day, Mother's Day, Christmas, and on my birthday," he said as he showed her one of the papers that was in the box.

Hi mom. Happy mothers day!

Love Jackson.

Mal thought that it was sweet. She knows Jackson was only a couple of months old when his mom died, but she liked how Jackson thought about her. He kept showing her the small papers in the box, and she could see that they were only from a couple of years, maybe two or three. There were drawings from when Jackson was younger, when he couldn't put sentences together, different types of flowers that he could pick up from outside, and papers cut into jagged hearts.

"These are beautiful, Jackson," Mal said with a smile on her face.

"Thanks,"he said shyly. "I know I don't know her, but she is still my mom. I wonder…" he said, making Mal look at him. "I wonder.. If she wasn't sick… if she would love me like you and daddy do."

Mal pulled Jackson into a hug. "She would love you so much, and I know she does," Mal said. "Hey. I have an idea," she said as she pulled away. "Do you want to take these letters and flowers to her? Your dad told me where she is. We can take them to her before we go and see your grandma at the library."

"Really?" he asked.

"Yeah," she said as she nodded her head and smiled. "We can even buy her fresh flowers before, what do you say?"

Jackson nodded his head, before giving Mal a big hug.

"Thank you, Mally," he said before he gave her a kiss on the cheek.

She gave him a smile and scrunched her nose before she stood up and held her hand out to him. "Come on," Mal said. "Let's go and get Melody so we can go."

The three of them left the apartment and walked to the cafe. Both kids ran to Jane when they entered the cafe, and hugged her around her waist. Again, Jane didn't charge Mal for her items, but this excuse was because it was Mother's Day. After they left the cafe, they walked to a small flower stand and picked up two bouquets, one for Belle and one for Katherine.

"Now, make sure you don't step on the stones," Mal said as the three of them walked through the cemetery. "We should be close."

They walked for a couple of minutes before Mal read a stone that said Katherine Marie Smith.

"Is that my mom?" Jackson asked.

"Yeah," Mal said as she nodded her head. "That's her."

Jackson sat down at the foot of the headstone, before opening the box.

"Hi, mom," he said. "I'm Jackson. I know we have met before, but I was a baby so I don't remember nothing," he continued. "I made these for you," he said as he placed all the homemade cards and hearts he had made. "And Mally bought you some flowers," he said as he told Mal and Melody to walk over.

Mal gave Jackson the flowers and placed them on the headstone.

"This is Mally, mom," he said. "Daddy hired her to be my nanny, but she is his girlfriend now," he said, making Mal shake her head and laugh. "And she has a daughter, and her name is Melody. Mally has been very nice to me, and she loves me like a mommy would, and I hope that you're not mad," he said. "Daddy told me that you love me, and so did Mally today, and I hope I make you happy in heaven," he said. "I'm sorry you got sick," he said as he hung his head.

Mal wrapped her arm around Jackson, and pulled him into a hug, making Melody sit down and lay her head on Jackson's legs.

"Hi, Katherine," Mal said. "I'm Mal, or as Jackson said, Mally," she said as she shook Jackson in her arms. "Jackson is the most wonderful, respectful, and bestest little boy I have ever met," she said, making Jackson laugh. "I just want you to know that Ben is taking very good care of Jackson, and I am sorry you didn't have the chance to see him grow up, but I know you are watching him from heaven and that you love him very much."

They sat there for a couple of minutes before getting up and heading to the library. The day went on, and after having a wonderful lunch with Belle, Jackson, Mal, and Melody went back to the apartment to find Ben walking toward the elevator.

"Dad!" Jackson yelled as he jumped out of the car. "Guess where we went today!"

"Where?" he asked as he picked up Jackson in his arms, and walked over to where Mal and Melody were.

"Mally took me to the cemetery to see mom," he said.

Ben looked at Mal with raised eyebrows, shocked to hear that they had gone over there.

"Really?" he asked. "What happened?"

"I had notes and cards I made for my mom, under my bed," he said. "And Mally said that we could take them to her, and she even bought her fresh flowers too."

Ben smiled before looking over at Mal. He didn't expect her to do that, but he was happy that Mal would do that for Jackson, because he would do the same for Melody if the roles were reversed.

"That was very nice," he said before he put Jackson down on the ground, and picked up a sleeping Melody out of Mal's arms. "Did you have a good day?" he asked as he gave Mal a kiss.

"I did," she said as she smiled up at him. "And thank you for the flowers. They were beautiful, your mom loved hers too," she said.

"Well, you both deserve them," he said as they walked to the elevator. "So, what else did you three do today?"

"I signed Melody up for dance today, and Jackson up for boy scouts like we talked about a couple of weeks ago," she said.

"Great! I'm glad that they'll be doing things during the summer."

"Yeah. Dance starts next week and scouts start in two," she said as the elevator door opened to their living room.

"Okay. What are they going to need?" Ben asked as Jackson ran to his room and he and Mal walked to Melody's.

"Well, despite me telling her 'no' your mom bought Melody's outfits and shoes, and I paid for Jackson's uniform."

Ben shook his head and laughed, when he thought of how excited his mom was to buy Melody her dance clothes. Belle had always wanted a daughter, but when she had Ben there were complications with her delivery that made it so she couldn't have anymore kids. So when she found out that Ben was having a baby, she wanted them to be a girl. She loved Jackson so much, but was very happy that she had a little girl to spoil.

"Yeah," he said as he laid Melody down in her bed. "That is something my mom would do," he said as they both walked out of the room, closing the door behind them.

They walked over to Jackson's room and saw that he was half asleep and watching a movie. They closed the door, wanting the kids to have a nap before dinner, and now would be the perfect time.

"So, what do you want for dinner?" Ben asked as they both flopped onto the couch. "Anything you want. It's your day."

"I would love to make something," she said. "I enjoy cooking, and I am in the mood for lasagna."

"Can I at the very least help you?" he asked.

"Sure," she said before she got up, and held her hand out for Ben.

They walked to the kitchen and started to make dinner. Well, Ben was trying to help, but was just making a mess.

"I'll help you clean," he said as Mal started to layer the lasagna in the pyrex.

"You mean clean the spoon and bowl of cookie dough when I am done making cookies?" she asked with a chuckle, making Ben nod eagerly.

"Mommy?" Melody called in a groggy voice.

Ben and Mal looked over the counter and saw Melody rubbing her eyes as she held on to her pua to her chest. Ben walked around the corner, and picked her up into his arms.

"Hey," he said as she rested her head on his shoulder. "Do you want to eat the cookie dough after mommy is done making cookies?"

She nodded her head in the crook of his neck, making Mal laugh as she continued to layer the lasagna. When she was done, she quickly baked some cookies, and when she was done with the bowl Melody and Ben ate the leftover cookie dough. When the cookies were done, Mal put the lasagna into the over and Jackson walked into the living room.

"Awe man," he said. "You guys ate the cookie dough without me?" he asked.

"That is why you are getting a cookie before dinner," Mal said, making Ben and Melody look at her with a gape in their mouths.

"What?" they both said.

"You both had the cookie dough, so Jackson gets a cookie before dinner," she said as she started to plate the cookies and plated a single one for Jackson and gave it to him.

"Thank you, Mally," he said as he took the cookie off the plate and held it in his hands before biting into it.

"You are very welcome," she said. "Just be careful, it's hot," she said, making Jackson not his head.

When everything was ready, they all sat down at the table and ate dinner together. They talked about how their days were, and the kids told Ben how excited they were to start dance class and boy scouts. They were like a family. Just enjoying life, and the time they spent together.

Almost over a month later, the kids were out of school. Mal had dropped off Melody at dance, before she went to lunch with Evie, and Jackson was at scouts. Ben had a meeting at the office with Adam and told Melody that Belle was going to pick her up from practice.

"I'm here to pick up Melody Drakos," Harry said as he walked up to the front desk of the dance studio Melody was at.

"Okay," the young woman behind the counter said. "Can I have your name please?"

"Ben Anderson," he said with a smile on his face.

"Okay," she said before she looked down at the paper on a clipboard. "It says here that Belle Anderson was supposed to be picking her up today," she said.

"Yes," he said. "She is my mother, and I was supposed to be stuck in a meeting all day, but I got out early."

"Okay," she said. "Well, it's very nice to meet you Mr. Anderson. I will get her for you."

"Can you tell her that I will be waiting outside in the car, I have to make a quick phone call," he said.

"Of course," she said with a smile on her face before walking to the back of the studio.

Harry walked out of the studio and leaned against the stone wall and away from the window, waiting for Melody to walk out of the studio.

"Benny?" he heard Melody say as she walked out of the studio.

He turned to see Melody standing there in a pair of baby blue knee length leggings, a black tank top, and her hair was pulled back into a high ponytail with a baby blue bow.

"Hello, Melody," Harry said, making Melody turn to him.

"Harry," she said in shock.

"Oh," he said. "Melody, I'm your dad. You can call me dad."

"Where's Benny?" she asked. "He's here to pick me up," she said as she looked side to side.

"I'm here to take you home," he said as he walked up to her and picked her up into his arms.

"I'm not supposed to go with strangers," she said as she tried to push away from him.

"I'm not a stranger though," he said as he tightened his grip on her, making her wince in pain. "I'm your dad."

Harry walked down the street with Melody struggling in his arms. He buried her head into his shoulder so that no one could hear her cry. When he got to his car he put her in the back seat and locked the door before walking around to jump into the driver's seat.

"Hello," Belle said as she walked up to the desk of Melody's dance studio. "I'm Belle Anderson. I'm here to pick up Melody."

The girl looked at her with a confused look.

"Melody was picked up about 20 minutes ago by your son," she said. "Ben Anderson? Right?"

"Yes," Belle said in confusion. "But, my son is in a meeting. He couldn't have picked her up," she said as she pulled her phone out of her pocket. "I'm just going to give him a call."

Belle walked off to the side of the studio, and dialed Ben's number but he didn't answer.

"Mrs. Anderson?" the young woman called as Belle put her phone into her pocket. "Melody forgot to take her bag with her when she left," she said as she gave Melody's bag to Belle. "Your son?" she asked, making Belle look at her. "What color are his eyes?"

"They are hazel green. Why?" Belle asked.

The young woman gasped, before covering her mouth.

"Why?" Belle asked again, but this time she sounded a little more aggravated.

"The man who picked up Melody had blue eyes," she said. "And very dark hair."

Belle's heart started to race. There was only one person who would fit the description and only one person with those descriptions who had a connection to Melody. She quickly pulled her phone out and dialed Mal's number.

"Hey, Belle," Mal said as she answered the phone.

"Mal! Harry took Melody from dance class!" she said abruptly.

"What?!" Mal asked in shock. "How?!"

"He pretended to be Ben," she said as she started to cry. "He pretended to be Ben so that he could get her!"

Mal was silent. Her biggest fear was coming true. Harry had her baby, and she didn't know where they were, or how she was going to get her back. Evie and Mal had just gotten to her and Ben's apartment, and she fell to her knees and started to sob.

"Mal!" Evie said as she rushed over to her best friend. "What happened? What's wrong?"

"HE HAS MY BABY!" she screamed. "HE TOOK MY BABY!"

"What? What are you talking about?" Evie asked. "Who has Melody?"

"H… H… Harry!"

"What?" Evie asked in shock.

"I need my dad," Mal said as she scrambled to get her phone that was laying on the ground. "Belle," she said as she brought her phone to her ear.

"Mally, I am so…"

"Can you pick up Jackson and then come over here?" she asked as she tried to control her sobs. "I need to call my dad. He'll know what to do, and then we need to get a hold of Ben and Adam."

"Okay," Belle said as she took deep breaths. "I'll be over in 45 minutes, and I'll try to get a hold of Ben."

Mal hung up the phone and dialed her dad, while Evie tried to get a hold of Ben.

"Mally!" Haden answered. "What are…"

"Dad! Harry took Melody from dance class!" she said, cutting him off.

"I'm on my way," he said before he hung up on Mal.

Evie was still trying to get a hold of Ben when she told her to call Carlos. Mal dialed Ben's number a couple of times before he finally answered.

"Mal?" he said. "What's going on? My dad, Jay, and I have about 50 missed calls from…"

"Ben! Harry took Melody from dance class," she said crying and making Ben go completely silent. "I don't know where they are!" she continued. "He pretended to be you, and he took her. He took my baby!" she sobbed into the phone.

"Mal, call the police," he said with a lump in his throat. "Tell them that she was kidnapped and they need to be looking for him."

"I called my dad, and he's on his way," she said, making Ben understand that he was a part of some type of law enforcement.

"Okay," he said as he nodded his head. "I'll be home in 20 minutes," he said before he hung up and walked back into one of the conference rooms. "Dad, we have to go," he said as he started to pile up his papers.

"Ben, we're in the middle…"

"Harry took Melody from her dance class," he said, making Adam pale.

"I'm sorry, but we're going to have to continue this meeting at a different time," Adam said, making everyone in the room nod their heads.

Ben and Adam practically ran out of the room, with Jay following on their heels.

"How the hell did he get her?" Jay asked as they got into Ben's car.

Ben pulled out of the parking spot and sped out of the garage before answering Jay's question.

"He pretended to be me," he said. "I never picked her up from dance, but I am on her pick up list," he said as he hit his steering wheel.

"Ben, you need to stay calm," Adam said.

"How the fuck am I supposed to stay calm, when that fucker took one of my kids," he shouted.

"Because Mal is probably a wreck right now," he said. "I know how much you love Melody and Mal, but you need to be calm for Mal."

Ben gripped the steering wheel as tight as he could, not knowing what to think. He wanted to kill Harry for taking Melody. The rest of the car ride was silent, and Ben didn't even park correctly before parking the car and running past all of the cop cars that were in the parking garage. Adam and Jay were hot on his heels. They rode up the elevator, and when it opened the entire living room was covered in cops.

"I don't give a flying fuck how long you say it takes," Haden said as he shouted through the phone. "I want an APB out on the fucker now, and I want my granddaughter back today!" he shouted.

The three saw cops standing at the dining table that was covered in maps. Other cops were standing at other tables that had a bunch of scanners on them. He looked at the couch and saw his mom, Evie, Doug, Carlos, and a distraught Mal holding Jackson as close to her as possible. He walked over and quickly sat down next to Mal who didn't move.

"Hey," he said as he wrapped an arm around her. "What's happening? Did they find anything?" he asked.

Mal didn't respond. She was frozen, like a ghost.

"She hasn't said anything since Jackson got here," Doug said.

"When we got here. Haden and everyone were setting things up, and when she saw Jackson, she picked him up and hasn't let go since," Belle said as she stroked Mal's hair.

"I just want her back," Mal whispered as she started to rock back and forth, holding Jackson close to her.

"Hey," Ben said as he brought her close to him. "We are going to get her back."

"How the fuck am I suppose to track them when he ditched his fucking phone in a trash can?" Haden asked, making Ben look up at him.

"Does Melody have her dance bag?" Ben asked.

"I brought it home," Belle said. "The lady at the studio gave it to me, and said that Melody forgot to take it."

"Fuck," he said.

"Dad?" Jackson called, making Ben look at him. "Why did someone take Melody?"

"Melody's dad took her, but we are going to get her back. Okay?" he said.

"We're going to get Melody back, Mally," Jackson said as he hugged Mal around her neck. "Dad is going to get her back to us."

Mal hugged onto Jackson, as she started to cry into his hair. A couple of hours passed and Haden had cops, and other forms of law enforcement scouring the streets of New York looking for Harry and Melody. Ben saw Melody's dance bag sitting in the corner of the room.

"I'm going to take Melody's bag to her room," he said before getting up and grabbing the lavender bag.

He walked into Melody's room, and sighed when he saw her room. He had seen her this morning, but knowing that she was taken by Harry, made everything slow down. He felt like she had been gone for weeks, now. He put her bag on her bed, and almost started to cry. He was about to leave when he saw a small bag and a handmade card that was on her table, and it had his name on it. He picked up the card, and saw that it was a father's day card from her.

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

Thank you for being the best!

Love you!

From, Melody

He had completely forgotten that Father's Day was coming up this weekend, and he cried when he read that Melody referred to him as daddy. He sat on the edge of the bed, holding the card in his hand. He wanted nothing more than to get Melody back, but he didn't even know where she was.

"Gods," Ben said as he hung his head.

Ben's phone vibrated in his pocket, and when he pulled it out and unlocked it he saw that the Find My app was still open on his phone. He saw that Jackosn's apple tag was located in the house, but Melody's was not. He grabbed her bag and saw it wasn't on her bag, making him go into shock.

"Shit!" he exclaimed.

"What?" Jay said as he stood in the doorway.

Ben grabbed his phone again, but this time he located Melody's tag. It said she wasn't far away, maybe a couple of blocks.

"I know where Melody is," he said.

"What?" Jay exclaimed. "We have to go and tell them."

"Jay, I don't want Harry to hear sirens and run," Ben said, "I want him caught. And I want to beat his ass to a pulp."

"What do you want to do?"

"We're going to get her," he said as he stood up and walked toward his room. "Come on. You're coming with me."

Ben and Jay changed quickly, and walked out to where everyone was sitting.

"Hey," Ben said as he walked up to Mal. "Jay and I are going to the dance studio to see if they know which way they went," he said.

"My dad already said that they talked to them, and no one saw anything," Mal said.

"I know, but I just want to double check," he said as he kissed the top of her head. "I'll be back in a little while."

Mal nodded her head, before he got up and he and Jay left the apartment. They followed to where the tag said they were, and it led them to an apartment complex. They walked inside and found a management desk.

"Excuse me," Ben said in a huff, making the girl behind the counter look up at him.

"Hi," she said in surprise. "What can I help you with?"

"Can you please tell me what floor and apartment Harrison Hook lives in?" He asked.

"I'm sorry, but I am not allowed…"

"He kidnapped my daughter and her apple tag says she is in this building," he growled through his teeth. "And if you don't, I will break down every door until I find them."

The girl looked scared now. She quickly nodded her head, before checking her computer.

"He is on floor 4 apartment 17," she said.

"Thank you. Now call the police," he demanded. "Tell them that we found Melody Drakos, and tell them where we are," Ben said before he and Jay ran toward the stairs.

They ran until they were almost there, and then they heard Melody yell.

"I want to go home!" She yelled as they ran up to the door. "I want my mommy and daddy!"

"You are home," They heard Harry shout back. "I am your dad!"

"No!" She yelled back. "Benny is more of my daddy than you!"

"He's not your dad!" Harry yelled before there was a loud smack and Melody started crying, making Ben see red.

"I'm going to knock," Ben said to Jay. "Hide so he can't see you through the peephole, and when he opens the door we are going to push it in," Ben said, making Jay nod his head. "You hold him back while I get Melody."

They both pushed themselves against the wall so that they couldn't be seen from the side. Ben lightly knocked on the door, but knocked loud enough so that they could hear his shush Melody.

"Be quiet," he said. "I'm going to get the door, and if you yell or cry you will never see your mom again," he threatened.

They heard Harry's footsteps getting closer to the door. They heard whimpering, and then they heard him shush Melody again before the locks started to turn. When Harry slightly opened the door, Ben and Jay threw their bodies into it, making the door come off its hinges.

"Melody!" Ben yelled as Jay pushed Harry to the ground.

"Benny!" Melody yelled as she Ran into Ben's open arms.

"Get your hands off my daughter!" Harry yelled.

"She's not your daughter," Ben said with a scowl as he looked down at Harry.

He was lying on the floor on his stomach. Jay was kneeling on Harry's back, and had his hands pinned behind his back.

"Well, she's not yours," Harry said as he tried to get out of Jay's hold. "She has my blood. Not yours."

"Blood doesn't make a family," Ben said as Melody held on tighter to Ben. "She is my daughter, and you are NEVER going to see her again let alone breathe the same air as her. I'll have your ass in prison for this."

"I want to go home," Melody said as she kept her head in the crook on Ben's neck. "I want mommy, Jackson, and you. I want to go home, daddy," she said as she continued to cry.

Ben heard the sirens from downstairs, letting him know that the cops were going to be here soon.

"Melody, can I see your face?" he asked.

Melody pulled away from him and looked at him. There was a handprint on her cheek that was slowly forming into a bruise, but because her face was so little it covered part of her eye and went down to her jaw.

"Did he hit you?" Ben asked as he touched her cheek, and made Melody nod her head. "Did he hit you or hurt you anywhere else?" he asked, and she shook her head. "Does your cheek hurt?"

"Yeah," she said. "Can we go home?"

"Yes, baby," Ben said as he held her head. "We can go home."

"She is… Ah!" he screamed as Jay tightened his hold on Harry's arms.

"Lay your head on my shoulder and cover your eyes, Melody," Ben said as he lightly pushed her head against his shoulder. "I don't want you to see this."

Melody closed her eyes, and turned her head into Ben's shoulder, before Ben kicked Harry in his face, knocking him out cold.

"Stay the fuck away from my family," Ben said before walking out of the apartment just as the cops came in.

"Mr Jabara," one of the cops said. "We can take it from here." Jay let go of Harry's arms, letting the cops get Harry. "There is an ambulance outside if you want to get her checked over," one of the cops said as he held on to one of Harry's arms.

"I want to go home," Melody said.

"I'm going to take her home," he said.

"Okay," he told them. "We haven't had the chance to report to Haden yet."

"I'll tell them," Ben said, making the cop nod and smile before leaving with an unconscious Harry.

Ben and Jay left the apartment complex, with Melody holding onto Ben so tightly. They had gotten a ride home from one of the police officers, and when they got to the penthouse Ben heard Haden yelling on the phone.

"Is papa mad at me?" Melody asked.

"No," Jay said, making Melody peek up at him. "He doesn't know we found you yet, so he is trying to find you."

"Is mommy mad at me?"

"No," Ben said. "Mommy is very worried about you. She is going to cry when she sees you, but she isn't going to be sad, she's going to be happy," he told her, making her nod her head. "Are you ready?"

"Yeah," she said as she nodded her head.

Ben and Jay walked through the front door, not being noticed by anyone in the room. Haden was yelling at someone on the phone, and everyone else was on the couch trying to comfort Mal.

"Mommy?" Melody said, making Mal snap her head up.

Mal looked and saw Ben standing there with Melody in his arms, and Jay standing behind them. She sprang up from her seat, putting Jackson on his feet, and sprinting over to Melody.

"Oh my god," she said as she took the 6-year-old into her arms and sobbed.

She fell to her knees, holding melody in her arms. She had never been this scared in her entire life.

"You're okay," she said as she pulled away from Melody and then noticed her cheek.

"What happened?" Haden asked as he walked up behind Mal, and picked Melody up and out of Mal's arms.

"My dad hit my face because I said Benny was my dad," she said. "It doesn't hurt a lot, but he told me if I cried he wouldn't let me see you ever again, and then Benny and uncle Jay broke the door down and found me," she said.

Mal shot up and threw herself at Ben, before crushing her lips to his. She didn't think that Ben would go out and actually find Melody, but he did. She had never been with someone who would do anything for her, but Ben did. He did it all of the time, and she loved him.

"Papa," Melody said, making Haden look at her. "Benny also kicked my dad in the face."

"He is not your dad," Haden said. "Daddy's don't hurt their fairy princesses or their little superheros," he said. "Daddy's don't hurt their kids."

"Benny doesn't hurt me," she said, making Ben smile as he heard the words.

"That's a very good thing," Haden said as he kissed the top of her head.

"Melody," Belle said as she walked up to Haden. "Why don't you come with Auntie Evie and I so that you can clean up and change?"

"Mommy?" Melody called, making Mal break her and Ben's kiss to look at her. "Can I go with grandma Belle and Auntie Evie?"

"Yes, baby," she said.

The three of them walked down the hall and to Melody's room before Jackson walked up to them.

"Dad? Mally? I'm happy that Melody is back," he said as he started to cry.

Mal bent down and picked him up, and whipped his tears from his face.

"Were you scared?" She asked, making Jackson nod his head.

"Hey," Adam said as he poked Jackson's side. "Why don't I help you clean up and change. I think Grammy, Papa Haden, and I are going to stay in a hotel across the street tonight."

"Can Melody and me sleep with you?" He asked as he looked at Mal and Ben.

"You and Melody are going to be sleeping with us until you have kids," Mal said as she hugged Jackson tightly. "Now go and change, so we can all relax," she said.

"Okay, mom," he said, unknowingly before he walked off with Adam.

"I'm going to get all this crap out of here," Haden said as he pointed to all of the stuff around the room. "But I have a question," he said as he turned to Ben. "How did you find where she was?"

Ben pulled out Melody's apple tag from his pocket.

"She always takes it off her bags," he said. "I didn't even think about it until I opened my phone and saw that only Jackson's was here in the building."

"Smart," Haden said.

Jay, Carlos, and Doug helped Haden take all of the equipment out of the apartment and into the black vans that were in the parking garage. After everything was said and done everyone came over to the apartment and stayed the night. Carlos slept in Melody's bed, Jay slept in Jackson's, Evie and Doug slept in Mal's, Adam and Haden had stayed across the street in a hotel, while Ben and Mal slept in their bed with the kids. Ben was laying on his back with one arm under Mal's head, and the other was wrapped around Melody. Jackson was on the other side of Mal and he was curled into her side.

"Thank you," Mal said, making Ben look at her. "Thank you for bringing her back home."

"I was going to do anything to get her back," he said. "I would do anything for my family. I love you and them so much," he said, making Mal smile.

"I love you too," she said as she gave him a kiss.
