Friday 11th September 2009
The rising sun shines through the bedrooms sheer curtains as Caroline, dressed in a light blue lace nighty, blearily opens her eyes. She smiles lightly as she hears the birds singing outside her window, only to gasp shooting up as last night hits her.
Carolina looks in the floor length mirror opposite her bed and hesitantly raises her hand to her bloody neck. He bit her! His face it- it changed! What the hell is he! She thinks frantically, her chest heaving.
Caroline clutches her hair and wearily glances to where Damon lays on her bed thankfully asleep. She bites her nails, starting to hyperventilate, what the hell should she do?! She breaths deeply and glances at Damon again before slowly turning on the bed and placing her feet quietly on the floor one at a time, she just needs to get out and get to her mum.
Caroline stands up and hesitantly tiptoes across the room, glancing at his sleeping form all the while. Rounding the bed she takes a small step only to freeze as the floor creaks, her head snaps around to look at Damon, only to release a breath seeing he's still asleep.
Seeing the door only a few steps in front of her, Caroline tip toes towards it determinedly, grasping the doorknob and turning it slowly breathing a sigh of relief. She glances behind her only to freeze in terror.
The bed is empty.
Caroline quickly spins around ready to run out the door, only to gasp as Damon stands in front of her.
"Good morning." Damon greets tilting his head and smiling as she quickly backs away, Damon following her casually.
"Please... don't..." Caroline whimpers terrified as she's backed into a corner. She bumps into the bedside table and nearly knocks over the lamp. Getting an idea she grasps the large lamp determinedly.
"Don't do that." Damon warns her only to grunt as she hits him around the head with it. His head snaps to the side but he's otherwise unfazed and looks at Caroline annoyed as she throws the lamp down and darts over the bed to the other side.
"Ah ah ah!" Damon warns her, pointing at Caroline as she sneers and grabs the alarm clock hurling it as his face, making him duck.
Caroline quickly tries to run to the door only for Damon to grab her by the arms and push her onto the bed.
"Get away from me!" She yells throwing any thing in reach at him, Damon grabs the pillow rolling his eyes, "No!" Caroline gasps terrified. What the hell is he!
"This could have gone a completely different way." Damon tells her mock pleasantly, before glancing at the pillow in hand and bringing it up to his face. Dark veins appear on Damon's face as he inhales the smell from the bloody patch on the pillow.
Caroline gasps trying to push back into the wicker headboard when she sees his face change. She screams as Damon throws the pillow behind him and lunges at her, his teeth bared.
Angelina wanders leisurely in the woods, the wind blowing gently through the trees and the birds singing sweetly in the trees. She loves spending time in the forest that surrounds her home it's so beautiful and its, thankfully, warded to the nines meaning no unwanted visitors can enter her territory.
Angelina tucks a stay curl behind her ear and looks around with a small smile. She spots a little mop of blonde and a wagging tail hiding in the bushes ahead, quite giggles reach her ears.
"Molly! Your tails sticking out." Oscar whispers quietly, peeking out of the bush only to frown. Where did mummy go?
"Mummy?" Oscar calls out, creeping out of the bush with Molly and Puppy following him excitedly.
Angelina watches Oscar from where she sits in the tree, having climbed up quickly whilst he wasn't looking.
"Mummy, you bette' no' be hiding fwom me!" Oscar shouts crossly, she ruined his trap! She was meant to pass him so that he could jump out and scare her.
Angelina, feeling mischievous, stealthily jumps to the tree above him and whispers a spell.
Oscar squeals in shock as a pile of leaves fall on top of him, he pops his head above the leaves and looks around. Trying to climb out of the pile, Oscar gasps, as the leaves lift from the ground and form shapes that begin dancing around them.
Oscar laughs in delight as a lion flies past him roaring and a small deer trots around just out of Puppy's reach as he determinedly chases it yipping playfully, only for Molly to jump on it. The many leaf figures twist and twirl through the air, morphing and changing as Oscar chases them around laughing joyfully.
Angelina smiles and flicks her writs, the leaf figures suddenly explode into mini fireworks, making leaves rain down onto Oscar and the dogs.
Angelina laughs lightly, making Oscars look around quickly for where the noise came from. She jumps from the tree and lands lightly behind Oscar, ruffling his hair and making him squeak in shock, as Molly and Puppy bark at her.
"Mummy that was so coow! Again! Again!" Oscar demands elated, quickly spinning around to look at her.
"Maybe another time Oscar." Angelina concedes, as much as she loves that her magic brings him so much joy she refuses to do it constantly.
"Mummy!" Oscar whines with a pout, on the verge of a tantrum. He wants to see the magic again!
"Well I could." Angelina ponders aloud teasingly, watching Oscar light up.
"But then we would have to be late to see Ava and Thomas." Angelina adds with a light smirk, seeing Oscars scandalised expression.
"Quick mummy wets go! I want to see Ava and Tom!" Oscar exclaims, grabbing Angelina's hand and dragging her along. He can't be late to see his best friends, if he was late they might not want him at tonights sleepover anymore.
"Calm down, we have enough time. I'll make sure you're not late for nursery." Angelina assures him smiling slightly, this is what she always wanted for him. To not have the childhood she had.
Elena approaches the field where the cheerleaders are stretching, her brown hair up in a ponytail and dressed in sporty shorts and tank top.
Elena clears her throat to grab Bonnies attention as she walks up to her.
"Oh my god! You're here!" Bonnie exclaims jumping up from where she was doing her stretches and giving Elena a quick hug with a laugh.
"Yup, I can't be sad girl forever. The only way to get things back to the way they were, are to do things that were." Elena declares, dropping her water bottle to the ground and starting to do her stretches.
"Oh and your coming to dinner tonight!" Elena adds, remembering the idea she discussed with Stefan earlier.
"I am?" Bonnie questions smiling, quickly joining Elena onto floor to stretch.
"Mhm. You, me and Stefan." Elena quickly announces, moving into the splits.
Bonnie freezes and gives Elena a dirty look. Elena knows that she's not comfortable around Stefan, why on earth would she put her through that.
"You have to give him a chance!" Elena commands, seeing the look on her best friends face.
"Tonight's no good." Bonnie says weakly, she internally curses herself as Elena raises a disbelieving eyebrow at her, she's never been good at lying.
"Have you seen Caroline? I've messaged her live a thousand times." Bonnie asks, quickly changing the subject to something that's been worrying her all day, as she rummages through her bag.
"Don't change the subject Bonnie Bennet!" Elena rolls her eyes with with a small laugh at the pathetic attempt.
"You are going to be there." Elena insists, stretching into another pose as she give Bonnie a look.
"Fine! I'll go!" Bonnie exclaims pouting, maybe she can wrangle Angelina into coming? Angelina can never deny her puppy eyes.
"Good." Elena smiles, sitting up and stretching to reach her toes.
"Seriously though, where is Caroline?" Bonnie asks Elena, looking around her eyebrows furrowed.
"I don't know." Elena replies, after taking a long drink from her water, "It's not like her." She adds becoming concerned, Caroline is never late for practice she's the most punctual person Elena knows.
"I'll try her again." Bonnie sighs and quickly dials Caroline again, bringing her phone up to her ear.
Elena watches her, only to spot a blue car that's blaring music heading towards the field over Bonnies shoulder. As they come closer she can spot Caroline in the front passenger seat.
"Uhh." Elena starts confused, pointing behind Bonnie who quickly turns around.
"Oh my god!" Bonnie gasps, seeing Caroline in the passenger seat of the open top vanquish.
"That must be the mystery guy from the grill." Bonnie comments, seeing Caroline lean in to kiss the mysterious guy in the drivers seat.
"That's no a mystery guy, that's Damon Salvatore." Elena sighs, climbing to her feet.
"Salvatore! As in Stefan?" Bonnie questions in disbelief, quickly standing.
"It's odd, I thought he had a thing for Angelina." Elena states, she remembers how Damon looked at Angelina what's he doing with Caroline?
"Angelina! What do you..." Bonnie exclaims only to be cut off as Caroline sashays up to them, a red scarf around her neck.
"I got the other brother, hope you don't mind!" Caroline practically sings brushing past them, causing Bonnie and Elena look at each other in disbelief.
"Alright girls! Sorry I'm late I was... busy." Caroline starts shamelessly, only for the purr of an engine to interrupt her.
A sleek black motorbike pulls up beside the field, the driver, obviously female, was clad in black leather trousers and a black leather jacket that was open to reveal a white cropped cami.
"Angie!" Bonnie exclaims heading towards her, as Angelina removes her black helmet shaking her red hair out.
"What are you doing here?" Bonnie asks giving Angelina a big hug after she gets off her bike.
Before Angelina can reply a deep mischievously voice interrupts her.
"Hey sexy Red!" Damon calls to her with a smirk, the demanding pull in his chest stronger than ever.
Angelina glances at Damon only to dismiss him with a raised eyebrow, as Caroline watches on with a glare.
"I came to pick something up." Angelina answers, ignoring the feel of Damon eyes on her.
Damon eyes widen slightly as he spots the tapestry of scars covering her exposed skin. His eyes darken in rage and he struggles to stop his face from transforming. Who dared to hurt his red?
"Hey Angelina! Me, Bonnie and Stefan are having dinner tonight do you want to come?" Elena offers in greeting, knowing it will make Bonnie feel better.
"Please Angie! I'll feel much better if you come!" Bonnie pleads, looking at Angelina with her puppy eyes and internally cheering when she's sees her go soft.
"I'll be there as long as I can cook, I don't want to be poisoned again." Angelina comments a small smirk on her face, knowing Elena and Jenna cannot cook for the life of them.
"You will not hear me complaining!" Elena laughs, Angelina's food is always delicious.
"Excuse me, this is a practice!" Caroline fumes, furious that Damon is still watching Angelina. Even with her scars on display Angelina's still drop dead gorgeous, she thinks to herself enviously.
"I... um... I mean..." Caroline stammers, quickly trying to back track at the cold look Angelina sends her.
"She meant, can you show us a new tumble!" Bonnie interjects, gaining a grateful look from Caroline.
"I'm sure she did." Angelina comments dryly, making no move to show them.
"Oh come on! It'll be just like old times!" Bonnie says excitedly, grabbing Angelina's hand and trying to pull her along. Key word: trying.
"Bonnie." Angelina warns her sternly, there is no way she is getting on that field.
Meanwhile the cheerleaders and Damon who had been watching the conversation intently, perked up slightly eager to see.
"Angelina!" A voice calls out and everyone turns to see Mr Tanner, dressed in his coaching uniform, quickly making his way towards them.
"That is my cue to leave." Angelina comments, turning back to her bike and swinging her leg over it smoothly.
"Angelina!" Tanner gasps stopping next to her bike, having ran over before she could leave.
"Mr Tanner." Angelina greets cooly, well aware of the cheerleaders, footballers, and Damon listening keenly to the conversation. Several of them videoing.
"Hey, I was wondering if you want to go on a date with me?" Tanner asks her confidently, all his attention on Angelina.
"No, thank you." Angelina replies raising an eyebrow at him incredulous, internally furious that he would have the nerve, then again she recalls him having a crush on her when they where in high school.
"Oh come on! It's just a date, what's the problem?" Tanner asks, quickly grabbing her arm as she goes to turn on her motorbike.
Damon growls lowly from where he sits in his car, glaring daggers at Tanner, as Stefan looks at him confused. How dare that pathetic worm ask Sexy Red out! No one should be able to ask his sexy red out! Damon freezes slightly as he finally registers his possessive thoughts.
"Tanner, if you don't take your hands of me in the next two seconds. You won't have hands." Angelina glares her voice sharp, who the hell does he think he is touching her.
"Ooohh!" Several people from the crowd hoot.
Eyes widening Tanner quickly lets go and steps back, spluttering excuses as
Angelina scoffs and leisurely puts on her helmet.
"I'll see you later Bonnie, Elena." Angelina tells them starting the engine and driving off, several wolf whistles following her.
Tanner gawped after her, as the students begin gossiping loudly. Quickly spinning around, Tanner shouts at everyone in embarrassment when he sees their phones out.
"Did that just happen?" Elena asks in slight disbelief, her eyes wide.
"Poor Angelina!" Bonnie giggles unable to help herself.
"I see what you mean about Damon and Angelina though." Bonnie comments finally getting her giggling under control and brushing one of her plaits out of her face.
"What do you mean?" Elena asks confused, she was so focused on Angelina and Tanner she paid no attention to Damon.
"Well if looks alone could kill, Tanner would be a hundred feet under!" Bonnie exclaims, gesturing to behind her.
Sitting in his car Damon was glaring at Tanner and a few boys furiously, his hands clenched tightly around the steer wheel.
"And the guys who wolf whistled at her by the looks of it. Jesus, could he look anymore jealous?" Elena whispers to Bonnie mischievously, honestly she ships it.
Damon hearing their whispers, quickly turns on his car and squeals down the road. What the hell is wrong with him. He's here for Katherine, the love of his life, not some red haired sexy witch! Damon groans, he can't even think of her without adding a prefix.
Stefan wanders into his room, pulling his shirt over his head only to freeze. Sitting with his feet on Stefan's dark wood desk is Damon.
"How were try-outs? Did you make the team?" Damon smiles mockingly, as Stefan looks at him stoically.
"Very Emerson, the way you reveal your soul with so many..." Damon begins waving around Stefan's journal that he was reading.
Stefan interrupts him by blurring over and snatching the journal out of his hands.
"Adjectives." Damon finishes with a light laugh.
"What are you doing here?" Stefan asks closing his journal, it really pisses him off that his brother continues to read his private thoughts.
"I've come to apologise." Damon states, taking his feet of the desk and looking up at Stefan earnestly.
"I've been doing some thinking, some... soul searching" Damon continues, hesitantly searching for the words, "And I want us to start over. We need to put the past behind us." He stands and makes his way around the desk to stand in front of Stefan.
"Your my little brother and if you wanna live a normal, happy, human life... then I want that for you." Damon explains looking into Stefan's eyes sincerely,
"Maybe I can do it too. If I can learn to be a... non... living person" Damon smiles sadly, his eyes shining with unshed tears.
"Maybe there's hope for both of us." He adds, internally laughing at the conflict he can see on Stefan's face.
Stefan looks at him his eyes shining with emotion. Can he trust Damon? This is Damon. The Damon that so loves to mess with his emotions. The Damon that tries to ruin his life at every turn and yet... it's also the same Damon he grew up with. His big brother. His idol and protector. The Damon he has had hope in for so long. The Damon that he's seen change, when he's around Angelina.
Damon smiles sadly at Stefan only to suddenly burst out laughing and walk past him, clapping him on the shoulder as Stefan looks away in disappointment.
"You know it doesn't have to be this way, Damon." Stefan beseeches, turning to him and gesturing around with journal in hand.
"Of course it does." Damon chides him, leaning over to pick a large quill off the desk.
"I saw Elena today BTW. That means by the way." Damon explains pointing at Stefan with the feather, "She was at cheerleading practice, she looked sooo... perky in her little short shorts. Just..." he goads, smirking lightly as he looks into the distance.
Stefan takes a threatening step towards Damon, a snarl on his lips.
"Simmer down, I didn't even go near her." Damon mock appeases, "I've got my own cheerleader now." He adds with a smirk.
"Ooh! That reminds me, I gotta run! I have a date." Damon suddenly exclaims, quickly placing the quill down and backing away.
"Sweaty palms. Wish me look!" Damon claims, rubbing his hands together and blowing on then.
"What about Angelina?" Stefan calls after him tauntingly, causing Damon to freeze.
"What about her?" Damon questions, tilting his head.
"Well, one you've gone against her rule and two..." Stefan suddenly smirks, knowing just how to get under his brothers skin "I would have thought you would have taken a page out of Tanners book."
Damon growls deeply before he can stop himself, causing Stefan's smirk to widen.
Taking a deep breath Damon strides out of the room without answering, he really needs to get himself under control. Whatever this... roar and... incessant pulling inside his chest is, it needs to go.
"So you had a weird feeling from Stefan when you touched him?" Angelina asks, turning over the cheese and broccoli stuffed chicken breasts in the pan.
"I'm sure it's nothing!" Elena laughs, setting out the plates and cutlery on the side.
"You explain it. Last night I'm watching nine o and the commercial break comes on and I'm like, 'I bet it's that phone commercial'! And sure enough! It's the guy and the girl with the bench, he flies to Paris and he flies back." Bonnie rants, annoyed that she's not being taken seriously, it's making her feel crazy.
Elena looks at Bonnie confused, as Angelina laughs lightly placing the cooked chicken breasts on a platter.
"They take a picture." Bonnie prompts Elena, seeing she's a little lost.
"Oh god! That commercials on a constant loop." Elena laughs placing the salad in a serving bowl, the only thing Angelina trusted her to help with.
"Fine. Well, how about this? Today, I'm obsessed with numbers. Three numbers. I keep seeing eight, fourteen and twenty two. How weird is that?" Bonnie challenges, dumping the rice from the pan into a big blue bowl.
"Maybe we should play the lottery." Elena suggests mock seriously, laughing at the deadpanned look Bonnie gives her.
"Have you talked to your grams?" Elena asks, throwing the chopped tomatoes in the salad bowl.
"She's just gonna say it's because I'm a witch. I don't wanna be a witch, do you wanna be a witch?" Bonnie complains, turning to Elena.
"I don't wanna be a witch!" Elena objects, scrunching up her nose.
"I would love to be a witch, I doubt they melt when waters thrown at them." Angelina comments, checking on the chocolate cheesecake in the fridge.
"What do you think about the numbers Angelina?" Bonnie asks, turning to her desperately.
"I think there's a reason you're getting those numbers and you should keep them in mind." Angelina muses choosing her words carefully and placing all the dishes in the dishwasher.
"You believe in witches?" Elena asks Angelina in disbelief, surely she's pulling their leg.
"Where are the damn serving spoons?" Elena suddenly curses unable to find them
"Middle draw on your left." Bonnie and Angelina suddenly claim, Bonnie pointing to said draw.
Elena looks at them warily and Bonnie shrugs in response. Hesitantly Elena opens the draw, and pulls out the serving spoons.
"Okay, so you've both been in this kitchen like a thousand times." Elena concludes not sure what to think. Witches are not real.
"Sure." Bonnie retorts rolling her eyes, that might apply to Angelina but not to her.
Suddenly the chime of the door bell echos through the house and Elena quickly smiles.
"Okay, he's here. Don't be nervous just be your normal, loving self!" Elena assures Bonnie and quickly makes her way to the entryway.
"You believe me right?" Bonnie asks Angelina quietly, afraid that she's going mad.
"Of course I do, I went through something similar although I was significantly younger." Angelina comforts her, being more open now that Elena isn't there and giving Bonnie a tight hug.
"You went through this?" Bonnie asks incredulously, how come she had never heard of this until now.
"Yes I did. Now try it again." Angelina answers, gesturing to the draw in front of them.
"Birthday candles." Bonnie mutters and opens the draw in front of them to reveal a box of multi coloured birthday candles.
Bonnie looks at Angelina in disbelief, only for Angelina to give her a proud smile.
After sitting down at the table, Stefan at the head and Bonnie and Elena on either side of him, an awkward silence lingers.
Stefan sends Angelina a pleading look, only to revive an amused smirk.
"This is delicious Elena." Stefan praises, trying to break the tension seeing as he's not going to get any help from Angelina.
"Oh no, I can't cook to save my life. This was made by Angelina. I'm afraid if she hadn't cooked you would have been served with takeout in nice bowls." Elena admits sheepishly, she wouldn't have risked burning the house down to cook a meal.
"I'm sure you're not that bad." Stefan counters with a smile, making a mental not not to let her near the kitchen.
"Oh no she is, she once burnt water." Angelina interjects with a light smirk from where she's sitting next to Bonnie. She still remembers when Jeremy rang and managed to explain, between his hysterical laughter, that Elena had nearly set the house on fire with water.
"There was something stuck to the pan!" Elena protests with a slight pout, it wasn't her fault it was the old pans fault.
"Mhm, whatever helps you sleep at night." Angelina concedes, an eyebrow raised in disbelief.
"Did Tanner give you a hard time today?" Elena asks Stefan after a lull of silence, trying to keep the conversation going.
"Well he let me on the team, so I must have done something right." Stefan chuckles, glancing around the table.
"Bonnie you should have seen Stefan today, Tyler threw a ball right at him-" Elena starts to explain excitedly, only to be cut off.
"Yeah, I heard." Bonnie interrupts, with a strained smile causing another awkward silence,
"Well isn't this awkward." Angelina drawls teasingly with a slight smirk, taking a sip of her red wine. Thankfully the rest of them have coke, she doesn't want to have to deal with three tipsy teenagers, even if one of them is over a hundred years old.
"Angelina!" Elena gasps embarrassed, as Bonnie giggles lightly and Stefan grins.
"Why don't you tell Stefan about your family?" Elena suggests to Bonnie abruptly, trying to get her to engage more.
"Um, parents divorced, no mum, live with my dad, I've got a crazy grams and Angelina is basically my big sister." Bonnie lists out awkwardly, confused as to why Stefan needs to know about her family.
"I think she meant about the witches Bonnie." Angelina tells her amused, this dinner is turning out to be quite entertaining.
"Yeah, Bonnies family has a lineage of witches, it's really cool." Elena elaborates exasperated, she loves Bonnie but does she have to be so stubborn. Elena blames Angelina for that, it must be where Bonnie get it from.
"Cool isn't the word I'd use." Bonnie denies with a frown, she doesn't want to be a so called devil worshipper that boils children.
"I think witches are awesome." Angelina comments, smirking lightly as she sees Stefan trying not to laugh.
"Well it's certainly interesting. I'm not too versed, but I do know there's a history of Celtic druids that migrated over here in the eighteen hundreds." Stefan makes known, looking at Bonnie with a small smile seeing how self conscious she is.
"My family made their way of Salem." Bonnie corrects gently, warming up to him.
"Really?" Stefan questions in disbelief, glancing at Angelina only to receive a small nod.
"Salem witches. I'd say that's pretty cool." Stefan reiterates with a smile. So the Bennett's are witches, that explains so much.
"Really? Why?" Bonnie asks a slight frown on her light brown face as she glances at Angelina for reassurance.
"Salem witches are... heroic examples of... individualism and... nonconformity." Stefan explains earnestly, he knows that witches are incredibly powerful beings that should be respected. You do not want to get on the bad side of a witch.
"Yeah they are." Bonnie agrees finally, Stefan's point of view finally softening her to the idea.
"Hang on, AJ didn't you use to tell me stories about Salem witches!" Bonnie suddenly exclaims turning to Angelina her eyes wide.
"Yeah, my ancestors where Salem migrates, I like to think I take after them." Angelina smirks playfully, causing them all to laugh.
"I can definitely see it." Stefan jokes, well aware that she is in actuality a witch.
"By the prickling of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes." Angelina comments nonchalantly gesturing with her wine to the front door, her magic having sensed who's approaching.
They look at her confused only for the their eyes to widen in shock as the door bell rings.
"That was totally a coincidence." Bonnie hesitantly claims, looking between a smirking Angelina and the door. There is no way witches and magic is real. Absolutely no way.
"Wonder who that can be?" Elena muses, choosing to ignore what just happened and raising from her chair to answer the door.
Entering the entryway Elena pushes her hair behind her ear and hesitantly opens the door, Angelina's words ringing in her head. Elena breaths a sigh of relief, even as her eyes widen in surprise, when she sees it's just an unexpected visit from Caroline and Damon.
"Surprise! Bonnie said Angelina was in charge of dinner, so we bought desert." Caroline exclaims as large smile on her face, as she hold out the pudding.
"Hope you don't mind?" Damon asks, as Caroline barges through the door and passes Elena the pudding with a smile.
"What are you doing here!" Stefan demands, having made his excuses and raced to the door as soon as he heard Damon's voice.
"Waiting for Elena to invite me in." Damon smirks, swaggering closer to the door, his dark hair a mess.
"Yeah, yeah come-" Elena starts, her checks going red at her lack of manners.
"No, no, no, he can't um... he can't stay." Stefan hastens to interrupt, looking between Elena and Damon in panic. Where is Angelina when you need her.
"Can you Damon." Stefan adds forcefully, looking his brother stoically in the eyes.
"What are you doing? Get in here." Caroline demands petulantly, she doesn't know what all the fuss is about.
"What's with the commotion?" Angelina asks cooly walking around the corner, her curly red hair swaying behind her.
"Hey sexy red." Damon greets with a smirk, he'd known from the moment he pulled up that she was there. That damn pulling in his chest made sure of that.
"Why am I not surprised it's you. Wicked indeed." Angelina comments dryly, leaning against the stairs. She had known he would show up at some point, he was there when Elena asked for her to come.
A surprised giggle slips out of Elena and Stefan snorts highly amused.
"Oh, I'm hurt. I'm only waiting for Elena to invite me in." Damon pouts, ignoring the glare he's getting from Caroline.
"Just invite him in Elena, I want pudding." Angelina says exasperated with a roll of her jade eyes.
"Angelina!" Stefan hisses betrayed, what the hell is she thinking. They can't let Damon in the house. He'll have unlimited access to Elena. Maybe Angelina doesn't know?
"It's fine Stefan." Angelina mutters under her breath, too low for humans to hear.
"Come on in." Elena invites with a confused smile. What was all that about?
Damon looks at Stefan as he crosses the threshold with a smirk. He would never harm anyone in this house for fear of Angelina's wrath, but Stefan doesn't have to know that. He does love winding up his brother.
"You have a beautiful home Elena." Damon compliments her after glancing around the house, straitening his leather jacket.
"Thank you." Elena acknowledges, she really is proud of her home. Her mum put her heart and soul into the place.
"It's lovely to see you again red." Damon smirks lightly, kissing Angelina on the hand gently.
"I'm sure." Angelina states dryly barely resisting to roll her eyes, she seems to do that a lot around Damon.
You hurt them, you'll find your heart across the room. Angelina sends to Damon mentally with a small smirk, causing him to start slightly and gaze up at her with wide blue eyes.
Damon suddenly smirks lightly and straitens, giving her a nearly imperceivably nod as he reluctantly lets go of her hand.
Stefan and Elena watch the exchange curiously, as Elena squeals internally.
