"Prove it!" Damon practically snarls into the phone.
"Hello to you too Damon." Angelina greets sarcastically, rolling her eyes unseen. Honestly, Men!
"I want proof." Damon demands, pacing back and forth in his trashed living room, holding his glass of bourbon in a white knuckled grip.
"I assumed you would." Angelina answers dryly, putting the phone on loud speaker as she carries on packing Oscars bag. Gently placing his folded blanket on the top of his folded clothes.
"Mummy!" A yell echos through the house followed by a little giggle, causing a smile to slide onto Angelina's face.
"Meet me at the tomb. 5pm. Don't be late." Angelina tells Damon curtly, zipping up Oscar's bag.
"Fine." Damon growls, hanging up he downs his drink and throws the empty glass across the room, watching in slight satisfaction as it shatters against the wall.
"Oscar! You ready to go?" Angelina calls out, swinging the bag on her shoulder and making her way downstairs.
"Yes." Oscar nods, sitting on the sofa and hugging his lion teddy tightly.
"What's wrong little deer?" Angelina frowns, dropping the bag and crouching down at Oscar's feet.
"I don't wan' you to go." Oscar sniffles, his eyes filling with tears.
Angelina sighs and brings Oscar into her arms as he bursts into tears. Angelina sits on the sofa and holds him tightly, her heart twinging painfully.
Angelina frowns slightly, she hates it when this happens. It makes her question everything. Is there a way she can stay? Could she take him with her? Is she doing the right thing? How can she leave him? Does that make her a bad mother? Does that make her like her father? Is there anyway she could stay?
Angelina's thoughts race so fast she feels dizzy before coming to the same conclusion as always, she has to go.
"I'll be back before you know it my little archer, just a few days and in the meantime you can have sleep overs with Remy and Aunt Jenna. I'm sure their planning on sneaking you extra ice cream after tea and will read your bed time book with you." Angelina explains gently, placing a kiss on his soft hair, her heart breaking at his little sniffles.
"Besides, I need you to make sure they look after Molly and Puppy properly." Angelina adds, knowing giving him a purpose will make him feel better.
"Weawy?" Oscar asks, leaning back so that he can see his mummy's face and rubbing his eyes.
"Really really! If your not there they might feed Molly and Puppy carrots!" Angelina exclaims quietly, watching as Oscar's eyes widen.
"They don eat cawots!" Oscar gasps, looking shocked.
"They don't know that." Angelina smiles, grabbing a hanky and wiping the snot and tears of his face, making a note to change her shirt before they leave as she feels the wet patch on her shoulder.
"Otay, I go to- to make sure dey don't feed them cawots!" Oscar nods firmly, he will miss his mummy but he needs to make sure they feed his doggy's properly.
"Yeah, and when we get back we can have a sleep over and movies." Angelina promises, booping Oscar's little nose as his eyes light up.
"Pinky pwomise?" Oscar says, holding out his little finger.
"I pinky promise." Angelina vows, hooking their fingers together.
"You're late." Damon snarls, narrowing his eyes at the figure emerging from the trees.
"I am not in the mood for your attitude." Angelina answers impassively, pulling her vibrant red hair into a pony tail as she makes her way to the tomb entrance.
"Does it look like I care!" Damon snarls again before chocking as Angelina holds her hand up.
"I have just had to deal with saying goodbye to my sobbing child. I have tried to be understanding but if I hear one more snarky comment from you I'll throw you into the tomb until I return." Angelina says coldly, her eyes hard and her patience thin as she releases her strangling spell.
"You wouldn't." Damon narrows his eyes at her, feeling wary. He's mad at himself for treating her that way but he can't help it. Since she told him about Katherine not being in the tomb his defences are at an all time high.
"Try me. I never make an empty threat." Angelina vows, staring him down until he looks away.
Damon stays silent as Angelina goes about pulling her ingredients out of her bag.
"Wait... why was Oscar crying?" Damon asks confused, finally realising what she said.
"I'm leaving for a few days for a job, I've just come from dropping him off with Jenna." Angelina explains tightly, pulling a knife out of her bag.
Damon winces slightly, seeing that he's hit a sore subject he elects to stay quite. Silently promising himself that he'll buy Oscar a new football for when he next sees him. Damon shakes his head quickly going back to focusing on the task at hand.
"The Eihwaz rune for strength and stability and The Sowilo rune for success." Angelina explains carving the two runes into the ground.
"And the plants?" Damon dares to ask, taking her speaking as the invitation it is.
"The plants are an offering for the Bennet ancestors." Angelina admits, "Fern for Magic, Enchantment and sincerity, Purple orchid for respect and admiration and Black tulip for power and strength." Angelina explains, tying said bouquet together with a black ribbon to symbolise power and strength.
"Your paying respects to the dead witches." Damon deadpans, pinching the bridge of his nose before flinching at the look Angelina sends him.
"I am not a Bennet witch, I could do the spell without their permission however I would rather work without resistance regardless." Angelina turns away from the infuriating man, and lifts the bouquet into the air watching as it floats into the air and disappears in a burst of flames.
"Great now you've pissed off the dead witches." Damon scowls, groaning as the pain in his head sends him to his knees.
"I think you'll find they accepted the gift." Angelina smirks amused, watching as Damon groans in pain on the floor. "That fire was them accepting the gift, if the bouquet had dropped back to the ground untouched then they would have rejected the gift and if the plants came back down dead then you know their pissed off." Angelina adds, watching as Damon heaves himself up from the floor.
Damon glares at Angelina but says nothing remembering her threat from earlier.
Angelina completely ignores him, her patience slightly restored by the witches display on him.
Angelina holds her arms out and starts chanting her voice staying calm and steady as a wind picks up around her and the pressure around them increases.
Damon watches the tomb walls intently only for his eyes to widen as he sees the walls disappear. He rushes forward eager to search the tomb and prove Angelina wrong only to slam into a wall. Shocked Damon turns to Angelina only to see her lips twitching in amusement as she carries on chanting.
Scowling Damon uses his vampire sight to look in the tomb through the apparently invisible walls.
Damons scowls fades and a frown takes its place as he becomes more and more frantic when there is no sign of Katherine.
"Show me more of the tomb!" Damon demands, only for Angelina to ignore him.
"No! No! No!" Damon roars as the walls start to become solid again blocking his sight of the tomb.
"Show me more of the tomb!" Damon snarls, spinning around to glare at her.
"That was all of the tomb." Angelina answers evenly, preparing herself for the fall out.
"You lie!" Damon snarls ferociously, charging towards Angelina only to be sent flying through the air, Angelina's patience finally snapping.
"I warned you, I never make an empty threat." Angelina says coldly, using her foot to scuff out the runes on the floor and turning away.
Damon just snarls getting to his feet only to freeze, panic building in his chest.
He's in the tomb.

Location: Unknown
"I'll be home soon Oscar." Angelina soothes her son, absently keeping an eye on the terrified man tied to the chair.
"Okay mummy, wove you." Oscar chirps, watching as Remy finishes setting up their blanket fort.
"Love you too." Angelina smiles slightly before hanging up and removing the silencing ward.
Pocketing her phone Angelina strides up to him and removes the gag she had put on him whilst she had her call.
"Who are you?!" The man snarls hoarsely, immediately after the gag is removed glaring up at the dark clothed woman with fear.
Angelina ignores him, a smirk painting her lips behind her mask. Flicking her glowing blue hand the man screams as lightning courses over his body, causing him to spasm violently in the chair.
"What are you?" The man whispers, looking up at the woman in terror.
"Your worst nightmare." Angelina states coldly, her face impassive as she reaches out and stabs another dagger into his knee, ripping another ragged scream out of the man.
"Now, where is the boy." Angelina demands, leaning into the man's face and revelling in his fear.
Sunday 27th September 2009
"I'm home." Angelina calls, dumping her bag in the door way as she slips of her boots.
"Mummy!" Oscar cheers, racing to the doorway and being scooped into her arms, giggling as Angelina rains kisses all over his face.
"AJ! Thank god! Jenna's been cooking!" Jeremy runs over wrapping her into a bear hug, his voice filled with genuine distress.
"Hey! I'm not that bad!" Jenna's yell echos through the house.
"We had to move into AJ's house because you've destroyed the kitchen at home!" Jeremy calls back incredulously.
"Jenna step out of the kitchen." Angelina calls out, calm in the face of the total chaos that has greeted her.
"I just need to-" Jenna starts, Jeremy and Angelina share a look as they hear pots rattling in the kitchen.
"Jenna." Angelina warns, watching Oscar's eyes widen.
"She'z using the mummy voice." Oscar gasps quietly, pulling on Jeremy's arm who nods wide eyed.
"I'm coming!" Jenna squeaks, finally exciting the kitchen.
Angelina rolls her eyes as Jeremy snickers and Oscar giggles.
"How about I make some food and you tell me about what you've been up to?" Angelina offers as Jenna comes around the corner sheepishly.
"Toma'o soup!" Oscar cheers, looking up at his mummy with puppy eyes.
"Pwease!" He adds on quickly seeing his mummy raise an eyebrow at him.
"Tomato soup it is." Angelina smiles, kissing his forehead gently and carrying him into the kitchen, she doesn't feel ready to let him go yet. She found the boy and reunited him with his parents, but his blonde hair made it all too easy to imagine it was Oscar in that situation. Holding Oscar that bit tighter, Angelina shifts him onto her hip as she sets about getting all the ingredients out.
"How did your work go?" Jenna asks, seating herself on a bar stool at the kitchen island, Jeremy following her lead.
"It went okay." Angelina throws her a light smile over her shoulder before seating Oscar on the counter and beginning to chop up all the ingredients.
"Yeah?" Jenna asks, looking at her searchingly.
"Yes." Angelina replies firmly, turning to look at her.
"Good." Jenna smiles, Jeremy and Oscar looking between the confused.
"Guess what mummy?!" Oscar asks, looking at his mummy excitedly from where he sits on the counter swinging his legs.
"What?" Angelina asks, grabbing the blender out of the cupboard.
"Me and Wemy biwt a bwanket fort!" Oscar gushes, wriggling excitedly.
"Did you?" Angelina lifts Oscar up and places him on the bar stool next to Jeremy, not wanting his to fall of the counter in his excitement.
"Yeah! It was hooge!" Oscar explains, flaring his arms dramatically.
"We'll have to make an even bigger one next time." Jeremy promises, watching as Oscar's face lights up.
"Bigger?!" Oscar gasps, turning to Remy wide eyed.
"Well that's them lost." Jenna says dryly, watching as the boys begin to natter about how to build the fort bigger next time.
"Thank you for looking after him." Angelina thanks, scraping all the chopped food into the blender.
"Don't thank me, it wasn't a problem at all." Jenna says, waving a dismissive hand and getting up to help her clean up.
"I'm sure you won't mind me fixing your kitchen as repayment though." Angelina says lowly with a mischievous smirk.
"We both know it's more for your benefit than mine." Jenna scoffs, giving her a smirk.
"A-ha." Angelina drawls, pouring the vegetable stock into the blender and placing the lid on top.
"Although as my repayment you could let me watch." Jenna says nonchalantly, grinning at Angelina's sharp look.
"Oh I see, you just want a show." Angelina teases her lowly, her eyes full of amusement.
"Oh come on I barely get to see you use your magic." Jenna whispers with a pout.
"I can't exactly use it in front of Jeremy and Elena." Angelina rolls her eyes, turning on the blender unexpectedly and watching as Jenna jumps.
"Angie!" Jenna scolds, hitting her with the tea towel.
Angelina smirks and turns around just in time to see the dogs skidding around the corner, having woken up at the sound of the loud blender.
"Molly! Puppy!" Angelina calls crouching down as they speed towards her and managing to stay steady as they plough into her.
"Oh I have missed you so much." Angelina coos, wrapping her arms around Molly as Puppy races around her barking.
"AJ! Your phones ringing!" Jeremy announces, picking up the phone and bringing it over seeing that Angelina is busy with the dogs.
"Thanks Remy." Angelina flashes him a smile, dodging the wagging tail heading towards her face, before standing and answering the phone.
"Angelina Astaseul speaking." Angelina answers formally, turning off the blender and leaning against the counter.
"Is Damon with you?!" Stefan demands, pacing back and forth in his living room.
"You Salvatore's have no manners." Angelina comments idly, watching with a smirk as both Jeremy and Jenna's heads snap towards her with narrowed eyes.
"My apologies Angelina, I'm just concerned he's been missing for six days." Stefan apologises, running a hand through his hair.
"He's fine Stefan, I've just taught him a lesson. He'll be back to annoying you by tomorrow." Angelina explains, pouring the soup from the blender into a cooking pot and turning up the heat.
"Lesson?" Stefan repeats concerned, no matter how much of a pain in the arse he his, Damon is his brother.
"Bye Stefan." Angelina rolls her eyes and hangs up.
"What was that about?" Jeremy asks, Oscar having run off to fetch his toy cars.
"Stefan was just asking after Damon, apparently he's been missing the past six days." Angelina shrugs, Jenna taking the blender out of her hands to clean.
"It sounded like you had something to do with it?" Jeremy says looking at her curiously.
"Did it?" Angelina muses, feeling amused at the narrowed eyed look Jeremy is sending her.
"Got the cars!" Oscar announces, cutting off whatever Jeremy was going to say.
"You'll tell me later?" Jenna says grinning at Jeremy, her face practically screaming that she knows something he doesn't.
"Definitely." Angelina smirks at her watching as Jeremy looks between them both before rolling his eyes.
Bonnie feels herself finally relax as she breathes in the smell of home, slipping off her shoes and hanging her scarf on her coat hook.
Making her way into the kitchen Bonnies eyes light up as she sees her favourite chocolate chip muffins cooling on the side. Quickly getting a small plate she grabs a muffin and takes a bite out of it moaning in bliss at the taste. Eyeing the other muffins she quickly puts another on her plate and heads towards the living room grabbing a can of lemonade out of the fridge on her way.
"Hi AJ." Bonnie greets her voice muffled from her mouthful of muffin.
"Bunny." Angelina acknowledges throwing her a small smile from where she's sprawled on her huge sofa, turning back to rapidly writing in her book.
"Hi Molly." Bonnie coos scratching under her chin from where she sits at her feet, staring at her muffins intently her tail wagging.
Rolling her eyes Bonnie breaks of a small piece of muffin gently giving in it to Molly before sitting on the sofa and turning on the TV, knowing better than to interrupt AJ when she's in the zone.
After finishing watching the latest episode of Merlin which she recorded, Bonnie sees that Angelina had finally closed her book and turns to her.
"Will I be able to do any of that?" Bonnie exclaims excitedly, looking at Angelina with wide eyes.
"Well I can certainly reach you to throw someone across the room and how to start a fire." Angelina raises an eyebrow amused, watching as Bonnie lights up in excitement.
"Really!"
"Really really." Angelina chuckles as Bonnie beams at her.
"Oh oh! I have to tell you what happened today!" Bonnie exclaims, "we had the sexy car wash today and I might of accidentally set someone's car on fire and caused a hose to go out of control and soak someone." Bonnie admits sheepishly, twiddling with her hands.
"Did anybody see?" Angelina asks, quickly straightening up and looking at her seriously.
"No, just Stefan. I mean everybody saw the hose but they assumed someone turned the tap on and nobody saw the car only Stefan. I mean he snapped me out of it, I just got so mad and next thing I know..." Bonnie trails off wringing her hands together.
"Hey, it's alright. As long as nobody saw, but in the future if that happens you need to tell me straight away so that I can alter peoples memories If they saw okay?" Angelina says comfortingly, getting up and crouching in front of Bonnie. Pulling her hands apart and holding them gently.
"Okay." Bonnie nods, "I can do that."
"I'm sorry it took so long for us to have our first lesson, I had a job that overran." Angelina apologises, feeling guilty that she hadn't helped as much as she would have liked.
"No, it's okay. Grams has been trying to teach me control but it's not going too well." Bonnie quickly assures her, knowing that she has a lot going on. She's just thankful that AJ tells her the truth and helps as much as she can.
"Okay, so tonight we'll work on control." Angelina decides, getting up and pulling Bonnie with her.
"Okay." Bonnie breaths, setting her shoulders only to start as Angelina pulls her.
"Outside." Angelina smirks, "Just in case anything goes boom."
"That's probably for the best." Bonnie admits sheepishly, before she suddenly perks up with a smirk.
"What's that look for?" Angelina asks slightly wary, not liking the teasing look on her face.
"Caroline was asking after your boyfriend today." Bonnie smirks, waiting for Angelina's reaction.
"Damon is not my boyfriend." Angelina says dryly, opening the back door.
"I didn't say Damon." Bonnies smirk widens as Angelina rolls her eyes.
"Who else would you be talking about? I know you, Jeremy and Jenna have been gossiping." Angelina shakes her head, leading Bonnie to a clearing in the garden.
"Not boyfriend my ass, I saw you both at the party dancing. That kiss seemed to make him a little... flustered." Bonnie wriggles her eyebrows ridiculously causing Angelina to laugh.
"Yeah, no. I currently have him locked in a tomb." Angelina admits, "which I should probably let him out of tonight" she adds after a pause.
"You locked him in a tomb?!" Bonnies exclaims, looking at her wide eyes.
"He was being an asshole." Angelina shrugs, not looking at all remorseful.
"That I can believe." Bonnie snorts, "I can stay the night and watch Oscar?" She offers, it doesn't hurt that Angelina makes the best breakfasts.
"That would be great, thanks Bonnie. But you weren't going anywhere tonight anyway, your going to be exhausted after the lesson." Angelina states, "Speaking of lessons. Are you ready to start?" She asks feeling proud as Bonnie nods with a smile her face determined.
"Then let's begin."
Damon sits, staring blankly at the wall. She's not here. She's not here. She's not here.
"She's not here." Damon tells Angelina hoarsely, not even glancing at her as she stands in the tomb entrance.
"I know." Angelina says calmly, entering the tomb and sitting next to him on the ground.
"I have searched every inch of this place. She's not here. Over a hundred years searching for a way to get her out and she's been out all along." Damon croaks, a single tear trailing down his face.
Angelina says nothing, knowing that he needs to get this all out.
"I didn't even want to be with her anymore, but I did. I did for the last hundred years. We had so many plans, she was going to turn me and we were going to spend our immortal lives travelling the world together. So many promises." Damon whispers, his heart hurting at the thought.
"And they were all lies." He adds bitterly, trying to get angry. Angers better then crying on the floor. But he finds he can't muster up the strength to be angry right now.
Angelina says nothing, simply handing him the blood bag she brought with her and leaning slightly against his side.
Damon stares at the blood bag blankly for a moment before slowly taking it from her.
"I was such a fool" Damon whispers, absently moving the blood bag from hand to hand.
"You were not a fool." Angelina says firmly, watching as he slowly turns to look at her for the first time since she entered.
Damon's breath catches at the sight of her, despite the agony gripping his chest and the betrayal running through his veins, she still manages to take his breath away with just a glance.
"Katherine is a master manipulator, she has done the same thing to others and is probably doing the same thing now." Angelina says quietly, "She's the kind of woman that at the end of the day will always choose herself over anybody else."
Angelina reaches over and grabs one of his hands lightly from where it was absently cutting into his arm, causing blood to run down his arm.
Damon looks down startled as his entire being seems to flow with warmth from where her hand holds his, chasing away the betrayal and pain with a single touch. Replacing the pain with an unfamiliar but comforting warmth.
Damon slowly turns his hand over and gently holds Angelina's hand in his, marvelling in the way they fit together perfectly. He can imagine doing this everyday for the rest of eternity and never getting sick of the feeling of her hand in his.
"Come on, let's get out of here." Angelina says gently, standing and turning to help Damon up with their still linked hand.
Damon keeps hold of her hand like a lifeline as she they walk towards the entrance.
"I'm going to cocoon you in my magic, it might be a little uncomfortable." Angelina explains, closing her eyes and concentrating on wrapping her magic around him.
Damon gasps, closing his eyes at the overwhelming feel of rightness that flows through his very soul. The power should feel intimidating, overwhelming with how much of it there is but instead there is a feeling of home and belonging that he has never experienced.
Angelia bites her lip trying to ignore the way her magic rejoices at being wrapped around this man. The feeling heading straight to her heart and soul, lighting her up from the inside out.
Taking a steadying breath, Angelina walks out not noticing the slight resistance as she walks through and pulls Damon out behind her.
Angelina and Damon stand there breathing heavily as they look at each other wide eyed. Angelina battles to get her magic under control and Damon reluctantly starts to back away fighting to settle his vampire down.
With one last look at each other Damon disappears into the trees.
"What are you?!"

theChancla - I am so glad that you like the story and Angelina! My goal was that she would be the calm to Damon's impulsiveness whilst not taking away who he is. I'm doing well thank you! :)

vampireshadowhunter - I'm glad your excited when you see I've updated, that's my goal! Just to reassure I do not plan to have Damon cheat on Angelina or have any flings with Angie, Sage etc. It won't even be a temptation for him! I know sometimes I need confirmation there's no cheating before reading a book, It makes me sad too :)!
