Alan and Ellie got out of the car. Alan put his hat on and swung his bag over his shoulder. Ellie glanced at Alan and smiled. Ellie then looked away. She thought to herself, she knew she hadn't told Alan the actual truth about her life. In some cases she wasn't sure she would but now being near him she felt awful.

She came to see over time that she should have chosen Alan all those years ago but she didn't. At the time she was happy, she did love Mark. But when Alan asked her about him she bluffed and just said it over.

She knew that Alan saw right through her and was grateful to him he didn't push her, but she also knew there wasn't a chance he would let it lie for long. She knew she needed to be honest but she had to choose her moment and that wasn't right now.

"Here we are." Ellie looked at Alan

"What's next?"

Alan was intrigued, he wasn't sure what to expect but he wanted to support Ellie.

"Follow me" Ellie nodded towards the entrance.

Walking through the entrance Ellie greeted the staff and escorted Alan through to an area full of paddocks. Alan felt a strange nervous feeling come over him. He remembered the last time he met Dinosaurs. Didn't end well. He smiled though as he realised what was in the paddocks.

"Don't worry it's a carnivore free zone. This is my work. I am in charge of the treatment for the herbivores around the area."

Ellie smiled watching Alan's relief. She suddenly saw the saw look on his face. The look where he saw the Brachiosaurus for the first time.

"Wow! Ellie, this is great." Alan was surprisingly amazed by this.

" Yeah. When everything happened and the DInosaurs were taken from the island I had to get involved. Somehow I felt a responsibility to them after the first park...Don't you look at me like that Alan Grant."

Ellie looked over at Alan raising his eyebrows giving her a smirk. She knew he was doing this because of the hard time she gave him after Isla Sorna.

"Hey I'm not exactly risking my life here am I?" Ellie pulled a face at Alan.

Alan laughed. He put his hands up

"Ok ok, you got me there. But seriously this really is great."

Ellie smiled at his approval.

"Dr. Sattler, you're here."

Ellie turned and saw a DPW worker walk up to her smiling. She looked at Alan and nodded to greet him.

"Sandy? Yes I'm here. Is everything ok?"

"Yes we just had a new capture arrive, would you mind giving her a look?" Sandy pointed down to the end of the paddocks.

"Lead the way" Ellie smilled. She was excited to show Alan the Dinosaurs they had.

As they approached a low fenced open area. Ellie walked up to the fence and lowered herself down to the baby Nasutoceratops .

"You know this takes me back to the Triceratops I treated back on Isla Nublar." Ellie looked back at Alan.

"You know that feeling you get when you see them looking at you...You never quite forget" Ellie said as she took the baby's face in her hand to examine her.

Alan smiled at Ellie working; he was so pleased to see her in her element.

"That's true I will agree" Alan replied looking around.

This part of the sanctuary was busy. Staff were herding different dinosaurs from their paddocks into containers ready to be moved and released into the open area of the sanctuary. Alan turned and looked behind him he saw Parasaurlophus being moved and a Stegosaur being treated. He was amazed at how well this place was doing. He had truly forgotten the beauty of these animals after being nearly eaten a few times in the past.

"Right shall we? My office is over here."

Alan followed Ellie up to her office. Walking in he was surprised to see there were only a couple of pictures of her kids on the wall. Walking further into the room as Ellie was removing her coat and hanging it up, he noticed her desk and there was a small frame. He smiled as he saw it was an old picture of them similar to the one he had in his tent next to the frame was the amber ring he had given her.

Alan sat at the desk waiting for Ellie.

"Right, I just need to check something before we can do this. I do have a confession to make though" Ellie looked at Alan.

"What confession?" Alan was a little taken aback by how secretive she was being.

"Well, I actually agreed to visit the BioSyn facility...They asked me to do a guest speech and well they asked me and you...I said yes for us both." Ellie quickly looked at her screen checking her emails.

"Why am I not surprised? Ellie I agreed to be here. I'm here. I'm coming. Can you just please stop thinking I'm going to be mad everytime you drop something please. Just tell me I'm not going anywhere ok? I promise." Alan wasn't sure why he felt the need to reassure Ellie. He put it down to the fact they hadn't seen each other in 20 years.

"I know. I'm sorry. I don't know why really. One more thing. Ian Malcolm will be there too, I've been keeping in touch with him for a while about this. He is excited to see you. He has been keeping me in the loop about what's been going on with BioSyn. We met yesterday and he told me he had his suspicions, he got the feeling BioSyn were up to something."

Ellie felt awful. Here she was not being herself. She knew she could always count on Alan to back her up; she didn't know why she felt she had to be a bit secretive about everything.

"Ian Malcolm? I wonder how he has been after all these years?" Alan smiled

"No...You wanna know how many more Ex Mrs's Malcolms he has now." Ellie laughed seeing right through Alan.

"What? As long as he doesn't….you know...putting the charm on you, I will be fine." Alan stopped himself realising what he just said.

"Really?...Well we wouldn't want that would we?" Ellie smiled, flirting a little with Alan.

Alan went red. He cleared his throat and asked.

"What's the plan then?"

"Well BioSyn has a hotel booked for us near the airport. The plane arrives at 12pm tomorrow to take us to the facility. The flight will take a few hours."

Ellie stood up and grabbed her bag. Alan noticed she also grabbed the ring and put it in her bag. He smiled. She may not be wearing it but he was glad she kept it with her.

"Right shall we then?" Alan grabbed his things and stood by the door waiting for Ellie.

"Yes, right, are we actually doing this? You were right." Ellie said smiling

"I was?" Alan said confused

"Yeah...Exciting times"

"Huh...Guess I was. I am all knowing you know" Alan Smiled as she walked past him.

Ellie turned.

"Don't let that go to your head now"

"No promises"

And with that they left for the hotel.
