Hi!

I know it's been awhile, sorry. I hope I will manage a routine of one chapter per week.

Read, review & enjoy!

Chapter 4: Can Your Alpha Be Your BFF?

It was a few weeks since Alex joined the pack. She already had her first and second full moons and she was quite well with her wolf.

Bran let her join the school, she didn't mind it was the middle of the year, she will finish that year, graduating a year early as she was supposed to.

Asil suggested her a room in his house, but she politely refused.

Charles checked her finance and as she told him, her parents made sure that at the moment something will happen to them, all the money in their bank accounts will transfer to her bank account, so she has more than enough money to live on her own in one of the empty houses in Aspen Creek.

It was after her first day at school.

She already bought the house she was living at, furniture included.

She also went to Portland to pack some of the things she wanted from her old house, the rest she decided to donate to charity and put the house for sale in the market. Charles promised he will make sure she will get good money for it.

Now she was unpacking her stuff.

The two-story house had a big office on the second floor with a big library, desk, chairs and a sitting place by the big window. It also has a fire place. Next to it were two bedrooms with adjoined bathrooms.

On the first floor were a living room with couches, coffee table, and fire place. Kitchen with a dining table with matching chairs and a bathroom. She also had a door in the kitchen that led to a storage room.

At the moment, she was unpacking books.

She had a lot of them around, some classics reading books and plays, some of biology and chemistry, martial art, math and physics too.

A knock on the door got her attention.

"Come in Bran," she called.

She heard the door opened and closed.

"Alex?"

"Upstairs in the office,"

Bran looked at all of the boxes full of books.

"Wow, your library is almost as big as mine,"

She smiled.

"I am brainy; I need to occupy my mind constantly,"

"So I have heard, miss 180 IQ," he smirked.

She rolled her eyes at him.

"If you are here, make yourself useful, Mr. Alpha," she said, shoving a box of books in to his hands.

He looked at her with a raised eyebrow, she flashed her stormy eyes at him and turned back to her shelf, biology and chemistry.

"What shelf is for classic?" asked Bran.

"The top one, you need to climb the ladder, please don't fall down," said Alex.

"I promise to try not to," he grinned at her, and climbed the ladder with his box.

"You're the oldest brat I ever met," said Alex, making him laugh.

After the books, came her clothes, shoes and school supplies, then some pictures on the walls, dishes and pans in the kitchen.

The pictures albums she kept for last. It was eleven p.m.

"Albums?" asked Bran.

She nodded.

"You don't have to open that box," he said softly.

"I have to. I don't want any more boxes in the house. Besides, I need to move on, and the only way to do that, is to face the past," said Alex and opened the box.

They were on one of her couches looking at her childhood memories.

"Ha, you were cute once," said Bran, pointing to a picture of a two years old Alex.

She smacked his head.

He growled at her and she growled back at him.

They passed trough all of the albums, all of her memories. By the time they finished it was one a.m. and Alex's face were covered with tears, her eyes red and puffy from crying.

Bran whipped her tears with his hand and pulled her to his lap and in to his arms.

They fell asleep, cuddled on the couch.

It was six thirty a.m. when her alarm went off.

She groaned and tried to release herself from Bran's hold.

She yelped when she crushed on the floor, making him jump in alarm.

"Sorry, you have an iron hold, it's already morning," said Alex.

"Oh, sorry. Good morning." He said and pulled her to her feet.

"Good morning, I need to get ready for school, but there is coffee in the kitchen, cocoa too," she smiled at him.

"Thanks," he said and watched her climbing up the stairs with her old cellphone that she took back from her former house, the disposal phone she threw away.

Bran was making some eggs and toasts for breakfast while Alex took a shower and got ready for school.

She came down the stairs forty-five minutes later, in black jeans, red long sleeves shirt, her leather jacket, legging and boots. Her school bag on one shoulder, her hair still damp from the shower.

She put just a little makeup, eyeliner and lipstick as usual.

"I made some breakfast, you still have some time to eat," he smiled.

"Thanks," she smiled back and started eating her breakfast.

"Need a ride to school?" asked Bran.

"No, I am good. It's not too far for a walk,"

"O.k. let me know if something is wrong or if you need anything," said Bran as he finished his cup of cocoa.

"Thanks," she kissed his cheek.

After cleaning the dishes Alex went to school and Bran went back home.

"You are smelling like that girl," said Leah as he walked in to his house.

"I was there, helping her unpack," said Bran heading to his bedroom.

Leah followed him.

"And the Moor couldn't do that? Or Sage?" asked Leah.

"I was free," said Bran.

"And you were unpacking all night?"

"We fell asleep on the couch," said Bran.

"Her scent is all over you, what do you think it makes me looks like when everyone can smell her on you?" she growled.

"No one will say anything, and they are free to think what they want,"

"I want you away from her," said Leah.

"I am her Alpha, I can't be away from her," by this point he was only half dressed, getting ready to take a shower.

"Then send her to another pack," said Leah.

"Not unless she asks me to,"

"Fine. But I don't want her in here and I don't want you in her house, if you need to meet, meet in the open."

"Or what?"

"Or you will need to look for a new mate,"

Bran growled at the threat. Leah turned around and walked out of his room, slamming the door behind her.

"Hi, you are Alex, right?" asked a boy.

Alex was sitting in the cafeteria at lunch, reading a new techniques book of martial art.

She looked up at a dark-haired blue-eyed boy from her English class… Tom? Ben?

"Yeah… ah…"

"Ben," he smiled.

"It was my second guess, I swear,"

He laughed.

"It's o.k. you are new. Listen, the Christmas ball is in two weeks, would you go with me?"

"I would love to, heads up, thought, I am the new werewolf in town,"

"Cool," he smiled, and she laughed, shaking her head.

The bell rang, and she picked up her stuff and gave back her lunch tray.

"Want a ride home later?" called Ben after her.

"Sure, thanks!"

"Meet me at the parking lot!"

"O.k.!" she called back before disappearing in to her next classroom.

"…thanks for the ride, Ben," smiled Alex as she climbed out of his car.

"You're welcome. See you in English,"

She waved, and he drove away.

"New friend?" asked Bran when she reached her front door.

"Yeah. You could have waited in side, it's freezing out here," said Alex, leading him in.

"Not my house," he explained.

Alex was dealing with the fireplace, lighting it up.

"Well, you have my permission. Now what's wrong?" said Alex, standing up as the fire grew stronger.

She put her school bag a side and went to make two cups of hot cocoa in the kitchen.

"What make you think something is wrong?"

"You look gloomy, now spill it," said Alex.

He growled at the order which made her roll her eyes at him.

She put a cup of cocoa in his hand and they sat down on her couch.

He sighed.

"Leah wants you out of my house, and me out of yours,"

"Leah can go and f-"

He cleared his throat and she shut up.

"She threatened to leave me,"

"Not my fault that she is jealous. You are my Alpha, and my friend, if she has a problem with that she can go and do what I almost said earlier,"

Bran gave her look.

"What? It's true. Besides, I have started dating Ben Blackly from my English class, I don't have time to steal you from her,"

"Ah… that's the reason you are not stealing me from Leah," he smirked, and she pinched his arm.

"Hey!"

"Then shut up, or I will pinch you again," promised Alex.

"So… you have a boyfriend?" he teased her.

"No, he just asked me to the Christmas ball today, we are hardly boyfriend-girlfriend,"

"Congrats," smiled Bran.

She blushed and cleared her throat.

He chuckled.

"Where can I shop for a dress and shoes?"

"Missoula; ask Anna and Sage, they love shopping," suggested Bran.

She shrugged, "what about you?"

"What about me?" asked Bran, confused.

"You can go with me,"

"No."

"Please?"

"No." he growled.

"Pretty please?" she practically begged.

He groaned. "Asil will never forget it,"

"You are my best friend," she pouted.

"Fine. Just because you are mine too," he smiled at her.

She grinned.

"What yours?" called Asil from behind the door.

"Come in Asil," she laughed.

Asil walked inside.

"What yours?" he asked again.

"My best friend," said Bran.

"Hey! What that makes me?"

"A pain in my side," said Bran.

Alex couldn't stop laughing.

"Nice. Can I get a cup?" he made a face.

"Help yourself," said Alex, still chuckling.

Asil went to the kitchen and came back with a cup of hot cocoa.

"There are rumors in town that there was a boy next to your house," said Asil.

She looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"So?"

"So… what's going on?" asked Asil.

"Asil!" hissed Bran.

"It's fine. His name is Ben, he is a boy from school, we are maybe starting to date," said Alex.

"Maybe?" asked Asil.

"It's new, started today, I don't know where it goes," said Alex with a sigh.

"O.k. just asking," said Asil.

She rolled her eyes at him.

"Let's go out Asil," said Bran pulling Asil with him to the door.

"Let me know about Missoula, little wolf," said Bran.

"Thanks," said Alex.

She could hear Asil from behind the door, "what's in Missoula?"

She laughed and went to do her homework.
