Authors Note: DAMN YOUUUUUU PORTUGUESE...
WHY? WHY DO PORTUGUESE HAVE THE CUSTOM OF ALWAYS WRITING THE POKEMON NAME AS PLURAL WITH S IN THE END? WHYYYYYYYY.
Okay, guys. Finally, I discovered the problems that everyone has been telling me about. I'm sooooooooooo sorry about the major problem between my writing over the fiction. Please. I hope you guys forgive me for this silly mistake, but to be honest it wasn't my fault. All Brazil talks about the names of pokemon in Plural, so please when you find Pokemon, Pokeball, or even their names with an S in the end. Please warn because I may have used the habit of always writing the plural names of the pokemon in the end.
Thank you guys for warning me.
The weather around Pallet on that afternoon was something that most people haven't used, as the villagers always had good days of rain, it was a long time since a rainstorm of that strength was able to hit the entire city.
Professor Samuel Oak was enjoying his afternoon with a good coffee as he examined the pokemon he was having in his lab, the equipment examining the pokeballs was what he needed to make a little pause from his day of work, even at the most time of his day, he used his time to enjoy the little things.
A good time admiring the rain over the town, he hoped that all the families remained safe inside of their houses. As he hoped that all pokemon found a way to protect themselves in the middle of forests, usually climates like that would follow with good destruction of the forests, which he hoped that isn't the case this time.
Looking at his garden. Oak noticed that soon the time of the new adventure for the kids of the town would start. As he imagined that his grandson even with his strong personality, would make it a quite difficult adventure for the boy who has been a good heart trainer from the start.
Samuel, remembered since the first day he meet the boy Ketchum, he had never seen someone with so great potential for being someone loved by their pokemon, he felt that the 2 boys of his town, would become great pokemon trainers, even if they soon had to leave the little town they live.
BLAM
A terrifying sound made above the roof from the pokemon professor, made him almost drop his coffee mug.
"Good gracious, what must have been this sound?" The professor who usually observed the window looked curiously above him... without hearing a reply or any other signal, he took his umbrella and went outside of his lab to observe what must have caused such sound.
The roaring sky was indeed a signal that the storm would get stronger with every minute passing, as the powerful winds were making the rain flow in all directions.
Still professor Oak managed to remain focused as his eyes looked into every corner of the roof until his eyes went wide open from such view, of a human body laying on the roof, with a suitcase on his arms, and wires around his body.
Professor Oak without thinking twice took out his Pokeball under his lab coat and pressed the button to release one of his friends.
"Exeggutor." A bipedal pokemon that resembles a palm tree appeared in front of the professor. Its body and legs are light browns with thin black rings and its legs are thick with two-toed feet. There is a light yellow paw pad on each foot's underside. The pokemon after being released in such a hurry looked surprised at the storm around the town, as he looked at his friend watched the tree pokemon looking at him.
"Exeggutor, I need your help somebody must have suffered an accident and is laying on the roof. Use Psychic to bring him down." Samuel who has withness many kinds of weird events knew that someone who fell on the roof under a tempest like that would mean that time is essential for him to treat the human.
"Exeggutor." The white simple eyes showed a glimpse of cyan blue color, as the light around the one above the roof became covered by the same cyan energy and began to float from the solid cracks of the roof as slowly floated until the professor opened the door to allow his pokemon directed carefully the body who seemed to appear to be a young man, almost passing his teenager years.
One part of the young boy who made the professor surprised it's the clothing he was using, and the suitcase which opened itself from the pressure of the psychic revealing what would be a black shirt with a lot of beautiful white and green flowers covering it. As a sign of an Alolan shirt which he always saw some of the professors who lived there using on their day-offs.
But the sportive signature jacket and the way it looked at the logo from the back, made the professor questions the origins of the teenager in front of him.
"Exeggutor." The alarming voice from his pokemon made professor Oak's eyes go wide open.
"What do you mean that he is drowning?" Professor questioned his friend, but the panicked look in his eyes, made the professor act quickly and touch the neck of the boy in front of him. "He is not breathing."
Using his hands to make chest compression and Exeggutor using Psychic to focus on the liquid on the lungs, both worked together as the sound of the cough was heard as the splash of water was launched from the throat of the boy who coughed as he breathed with all the strengths of his life.
The boy inhaled with all he could, and his eyes opened quickly as he looked around, looking like he just found himself in the middle of the room, his eyes looked disturbed from all the seawater that made him try to take a better look, but then the fatigue has hitten him strongly, making him lose the energy to remain awake.
It has happen so quickly, that the professor didn't even have time to react as the boy fell down on the floor.
The scene made the professor take the young boy who seemed to be around 16 years almost 17, which made him question where was or the life he even pokemon with him, as he looked curiously at what would be 3 types of equipment, one felt from his pocket who seemed a slightly compact Pokedex without open-close mechanics, a lighter version of a laptop without a mouse on it, and a screen who seemed to have the same size of the laptop, maybe it was a backup screen.
Firstly, he needs to make the body of the young man dry and warm and help him to stay in the bed as he recovers from such an event.
As the eyes of the boy who was sleeping opened slowly, revealing for him what would be a view of a clean laboratory. Nothing more than an ordinary table, books, test tubes, and many big machines around the room which looked like old technology. But that wouldn't be less confusing than the fact that everything looked like a cartoonish show.
The boy sat in the corner of the bed he was in. Looked around and said that he was in fact somewhere he wasn't used to since it was something not from the real world.
"Where am I?" The voice from the boy made him snap his eyes wide open since the voice of the boy sounded less mature and more childish. "What the..."
"Ah good you're awake, you had me worried there for a bit." The voice of the professor made the boy turn his head as his eyes went wide open in shock, the man who looked almost in his fifties, with his greying hair, as he showed his traditional red short-sleeved polo shirt covered with his white lab coat and his brown pants, he approached at the boy who was on the bed, looking at him in disbelief.
"Professor... Oak?" The tired voice but at his grunt, it seemed that he looked uncomfortable for all the circumstances he was in at the moment.
"Oh, so you know my name?" Professor walked beside him and went down to his knees as he looked closely at the boy pressing his hand to his forehead to check the temperature. "Hmm... you seem burning. Well, I wouldn't be surprised, you went outside from the middle of the storm and landed on my roof."
"I what?" The confused young man showed the signals as he was indeed showing genuine surprise from what must have been the cause of his situation at the moment. "But that's impossible, there was no way I should be here."
"Well, why not you explain to me everything that happened to you." Professor Oak who seemed to create a comfortable environment for his visitor seemed that he has the same quantity of questions as the boy who looked around in disbelief.
"There is no way that this is real. Pokemon it's just a show, a videogame. And looking at this. This is all an anime graphic, there is no way..." The young man thought as his eyes moved around trying to prove that everything was just a prank of his imagination until he raised his hand as he looked at the animated hand in front of him, he opened and closed his hands feeling every fiber of his body. "It's real... I'm in Pokemon..."
"That's impossible." The weak voice of the young man made him show that he was in fact trying to get used to the real shock. "I was on a cruise vacation trip in the middle of the ocean, how did I manage to land over the roof of the pokemon laboratory of Kanto?"
As the question made not just look at the circumstances in disbelief, Professor Samuel Oak hummed as he had the same confused thoughts the boy had.
"Well, why not tell me from the start? Mr..." Professor Oak wanted to find a way to resolve the puzzle inside of the mind of both their heads and help the poor boy find a way for his home if possible.
The young man's eyes went cloudy as he tried to find a way to say it.
"Dammit. I cannot explain to Oak that I'm from another universe, that would be too complicated and stupid in my opinion... I need to cover everything..." The mind of the boy was forcing in such strength as he felt the headache forming. Which made the professor look at him in concern.
"Boy, are you okay?" Professor Oak approached as the recovering boy shook his head.
"I'm fine, sorry to worry you. I've been trying to find the pieces of my memory together... My name is Joshua Leonidas Angelo. And I was taking a vacation trip back to Alola." Josh took a deep breath and finally decided to help to tell his story with some lies as fundaments to be believable. "I was on a cruise having a video conference with my friends who were from Galar and Hoenn region and at the time I was talking to them, the rainstorm happened in the middle of the ocean, and with all the waves strongly hitting the cruise, it was so strong that the cruise itself went upside down."
Little by little, the details as the boy seemed to tell the researcher, his eyes went from belief to middle concern then from the middle concern to extreme worry.
"And then in my final moments, I knew I was stuck in the wires of my equipment and unable to swim. I knew it was my death, until I saw a creature like a mix of dragon and bird, with scales in silver-white color, but it has blue undersides with slightly varying tones. It has a ridged mouth similar to a beak, although it has pointed teeth on its lower jaw. Its head has a point to the back, and its eyes have pointed blue or black spikes on them." Josh remembered all the details of what would have been an imagination from that time, but now that he looked where he is... He isn't imagining things... he knew it was a pokemon who watched him in the deep of the ocean. "A..."
"Lugia." Professor Oak placed both his arms behind his back, as he straightened his back and walked around in deep silence, humming what would be his thoughts processing the information at such speed. "What you must have seen Joshua is a legendary pokemon from Kanto. Lugia its name."
"But how is that possible? How did a legendary pokemon from Kanto find me in the middle of the ocean?" As Josh tried to see by his memories, he never thought that a pokemon like Lugia would be in the real world... Many pokemon streamers and YouTubers would get crazy from the news. Then his eyes went wide open, as the worst thoughts crossed his mind... "MY EQUIPMENT."
As the professor saw the young man try to get up from the bed, he looked at the outburst of the young Josh be quickly disarmed as the moment he was on his foot, he saw the weakness of the young boy as his palms went over his head and placed as tried to hold his head.
"You shouldn't move quickly like that, you are too sick to make abrupt movements. You must lay to recover yourself first." Professor Oak knows how stubborn young boys can be, but the authority in his voice, made Josh look at him in silence, before going back to the bed and laying his head on the pillow. "If you want to hear about what happened to your laptop and your Pokedex and the screen you had with you. They've been found with you on the roof, and they were wet. So I placed them on the rice to take the humidity over the equipment. I don't know if this will work, but it was the least I could do to try to see if would work."
Josh heard that felt that part of his own heart was destroyed, his cellphone, his tablet, and his laptop was everything he had to be around the technology and his only way to create content and receive money... Until a new thought crossed his mind... the world he lives in... it was a world separated from he was...meaning that all the content he created, all the internet and online streams he did and could do was now unable to do it anymore. It was a punch in his gut, like all the work he did was now inaccessible...
"Dammit." Josh tightened his pillow with such aggressive force, that he was shaking, he tried to calm himself as he looked at the professor who seemed in concern about him. Sighing in defeat he calmed himself. "Thank you for trying your best professor... I think there is nothing more you could do."
The professor gave him a weak smile as he took from his pocket a pill and the Exeggutor came from the kitchen with a floating glass of water approaching the boy who looked at the walking tree surprised.
"Here, take this medicine and rest for a while. Let's focus on your recovery first, and with the time the humidity will be out, and with luck, your equipment will be fine and you may have not lost something important." Professor Oak as he gave the optimist smile made the pokemon streamer has a genuine smile on him.
"I hope you are the right professor. Thank you for taking care of me." Josh said after taking the medicine and drinking the cartoonish water, as he glanced at the pokemon near him. "Thanks, Exeggutor for the water."
"Exeggutor." The palm tree pokemon smiled as he walked back to the kitchen.
Professor looked at them both boy and the pokemon interaction with good eyes, as he looked at Josh turning his body covered with blankets and taking a rest. Leaving him alone with his thoughts as he once again walked to the kitchen and managed to get another mug of coffee... As he looked at the tempest which seemed to be strong as for one more day. The pokemon researcher looked at the sky trying to answer not just his questions, but the questions of his new visitor, a Lugia saw a sank cruise which found the young man under the water. And using its strength managed to use what would be a movement to make him launch away from the deep of the seas and launch to the sky...
"It seems that Lugia must have used a Twister on the young Joshua, and by miracle, he lands over my roof... Is that what would be? Fate? Luck? Who knows? And this young man seemed to be deeply worried about his equipment... I just hope that the rice would be enough to recover it from being wet and don't have been overcharged with the seawater." The professor monologue as he walked beside the corner of his lab, looking at the pile of rice covering what would be the objects of such importance to the boy. "Tomorrow will be another day, and hopefully a new sunlight to clear the air from the tempest which appeared in this town."
After hours of rain, Weddle, Caterpie, and even Ratata used the rain to a refugee in the corner of the houses. As many pokemon would use the opportunity to ride in holes and corners of the walls, one little slime pokemon crawled in the time of panic and used the corner of a window to hold itself against the rain.
Thankfully the window was slightly open and used to get inside what would be an open laboratory. The slimy pokemon crawled slowly as it finally gave a sigh of relief.
"Ditto." The pokemon said as it looked like the rain as the pokemon felt such cold temperature over its body, and looking around found nobody who could be aware of its presence at the laboratory. So crawling around he found what would be a bed with someone sleeping on it.
The desire of having a blanket around it made Ditto crawl slowly to the corner of the bed.
"Ditto." As the pokemon slowly managed to crawl to the bed, it used the slimy body to move until above the bed, which is thought the stealth was successful, since the human who was sleeping didn't actually was...
Until Ditto found itself staring at the blank face of the human who was staring at it with his face looking at it.
"DITTO." The alarming cry from the pokemon made its body to fell down from the bed, which made Josh release his blankets as he sat down on the bed looking at the slimy pokemon on the floor.
"Hehe, sorry to startle you, but wasn't rude to crow on the bed of someone who was sleeping on it?" Josh who still felt fever, chuckled at the pokemon which was splashed on the floor. "Here, let me help you."
Josh for the first time managed to lower his body to catch the pokemon which went above his hand and with his help managed to stay where it wanted to be.
Feeling the cold slime on his hands, Josh remembered the slime videos from Tik Tok that one of his friends does when he lost a try not to laugh challenge, but in comparison to what usually slime would feel in his hands, he felt that Ditto was actually freezing.
"I don't think that this is actually your temperature." As the streamer who was actually so fanatic about pokemon gaming was the first time he ever felt an actual exchange of experience, as feeling the touch and looking it so near to himself. It was so amazing that a simple cartoonish slime actually would make the boy smile as the little pokemon shake its head and its slimy body trembled. "Alright, here use this."
Taking the blanket he covered the little Ditto which seemed to smile as it started to feel the body be warmed by the blanket.
Leaving the pokemon on the blanket, Josh started to weakly explore around the laboratory, looking at the empty place just for the technology and experiments, Josh guessed that mostly pokemon must be resting in the pokeballs and the backyard which was mostly where the trainers would leave their pokemon would be empty as well. Trying to see if Professor Oak was around, the lights off from the laboratory must have made him guess that the researcher actually went to his house near to the laboratory. Maybe it's because he lives with his grandson Gary Oak or Blue, depending on which place he is...
"Is this the game or the anime?" Josh asked he approached the sink to wash his face and drink the water from it... The gulps never felt so refreshing from how much Josh must have sweated after having a fever, slowly he felt his energy getting back, as he felt the dryness of his throat being refreshed from the water, something that the pokemon streamer wished so much at the moment.
Taking a few seconds of gulping water, a satisfied sigh was released from him, as the young man looked around to see if he could find what he was looking for... Until he found a pile of rice on the corner of the laboratory. Slowly, Josh digs the rice until he felt his hands touching a familiar object. Which he carefully took off from the pile. A tablet.
Walking to the bed, Josh looked at the DItto which seemed to be enjoying so much the comfy blankets which were warming it. Sitting beside the pokemon, Josh closed his eyes and pressed the button.
"Please...please..." Josh gave a silent prayer, as soon felt his hands vibrate as the light appeared on the screen. "YES."
The tablet showed the logo of the company as it appeared to turn on and appear all the apps on the tablet. Which made Josh sigh in relief.
"One okay, two to go," Josh said as part of him still felt anxious about waiting for the next morning to see if his other equipment will work fine the same way as his tablet did. Shrugging off his thoughts, he decided to take a look at his signal... "No signal found, I should have guessed... I don't think Kanto has wifi or other kinds of wireless internet to help me to connect the browser."
Noticing that he still has his download files from bulbapedia, serebii, and other pokemon wikis, he was thankful that night he was out of energy while he was doing nuzlock, he would have lost his stream if wasn't for the fact he was using his cellphone to stream the rest of the video, and making as an objective download of the important info after that day as a backup for making calculations and knowing which levels the pokemon would evolve and learn the attacks, if that would happen again to him he would be ready to use his tablet to help him to calculate the statistics and skills of all pokemon as his battles.
And with his download having more than 15 gigabytes of memories, nothing was useless to him... He always prided himself in saying that even in the worst cases he would have the files from the sites in case of the sites would receive maintenance in the middle of nuzlock games, heck, even some of his friends asked him to send the files when they were playing some times. It was a great way to avoid using internet data.
And now he had on his hands... From Kanto to Galar region, all the data he could use on this world...
With a smile, Josh decided to hide all the data inside a folder and hide it with a password. Named it with a password that just he and his friends from the pokemon stream would ever know this secret.
Looking at the Ditto on his side, Josh decided to open one of his favorite programs, the clipstudio, and with a pen inside of a hidden compartment, he managed to sketch little by little, the pokemon which was on his side. The purple slime raised its head to look at the careful hand moves by the human on its side. As the streamer used the curves to make the smooth lines as showing what would be a cute confused look slime creature that the pokemon looked so curious about.
deciding to make some background by making grass on the floor, some trees and even adding a circle to represent the moon in the sky, all the lines created the sketch which he was going to work on for his next art.
Making some smooth lines and even better details on the ground, the grass itself looked as if it was fair natural in the environment, making the Ditto look in awe as the details are being made on the art which the human was doing at the moment.
Then after making the line art, Josh decided to use the paint bucket to already place the colors on the grass and the night sky. Making Ditto even more awe from the drawing.
"Ditto." Ditto said as it looked excited to see the art gaining life as the streamer chuckled from the pokemon reaction.
"Yeah, it's amazing, but it's not done yet." Then looking carefully at the new friend he had on his side, he looked at all the colors from the palette, and using the most similar placed the color on Ditto, making the pokemon on his side exclaim happily. "Yeah, it's you, just wait a few seconds, because I'm not done yet."
Then like an artist who makes good art, he placed all the good details in his painting, placing the shadow, the light from the moon, and the effects around the area. Josh managed to make a lightly light of green lurk around the art, as a mysterious light of fireflies around the pokemon which made the expression of the pokemon inside the art like a creature admiring the new place he was.
After making such final art, Ditto opened its mouth like a kid who had candy for the first time, the Ditto was moving its body up and down like it was very happy.
"Ditto, Ditto, Ditto." Ditto didn't stop saying as it admired the art which looked so similar to itself or an ever better portrait that the little pokemon never imagined seeing itself be.
"I'm glad you liked it," Josh said, after finishing his art using his watermark and then saving the art inside the tablet.
After closing the program, Ditto looked disappointed as the human decided to turn off his tablet after having recovered his equipment.
"I know you look disappointed, but my tablet doesn't have much battery, so I will turn it off for when I have more, I will draw more arts, I promise," Josh said as the pokemon looked at him with his usual little eyes. But the nod from its head made Josh smile and then place the tablet on the table beside him. Josh took the blanket with the Ditto from the bed and placed it a place on the floor. "Now, let's go to sleep. Tomorrow will be a new day. You can have one blanket while I will use this other one. See you tomorrow Ditto."
"Ditto." The slime pokemon said before turning its head and turning into jelly as it became one with the blanket.
Josh looked at the ceiling, as he imagined if everything was all a dream, but from the sickness inside of his body, he knew that it wasn't the case... Since he wasn't dead, and that was the proof he needed to keep walking forward... He survived... that's what it's matters. And now he must think about tomorrow. What the future will bring to him.
In the middle of the night, the silence spread over the entire town, not a signal of any drop of water in the air, the calm after the storm finally was around. As many pokemon finally got out of their covered trees and watched the beautiful moonlight on the sky. The rain has stopped, and tomorrow would be a new day for everyone.
As the sun raised in the sky, professor Oak left his house early, knowing that the week he would spend at the lab and exploring the around Palet Town would be consuming, since the rain has a high possibility of destroying the environment of the wild pokemon.
What he expected would be letting his visitor rest as he used his lab to make a lot of research and find ways to help the homeless pokemon to recover their habitat, as having some to use in his research... What he wasn't expecting was to see the same sick boy who was sleeping a day before, sitting over the bed and using a screen in front of a Ditto.
"Now make a good pose," Josh said as aimed his tablet at Ditto who raised both slimy arms and turned its head to the side.
"Ditto." The pokemon said as soon the boon pressed the screen, making a clicking sound.
"And done. Here, take a look." Josh after looking at his own screen, turned his tablet and showed it to the little Pokemon who became awe at the picture that Josh has taken a second ago. The quality of the photo was something that Professor Oak never thought it was possible to see.
Ditto admiring the picture was moving its own body up and down, as a signal of his own happiness at the moment.
"Impressive." The professor's voice went over the room, which made both Pokemon and person look at the researcher who seemed too interested to know about it. "I never saw such interesting technology before."
"Oh, yeah, it's one great technology, it's called Tablet, it's like a c... big Pokedex which you can use its many features like, taking photos, rec and watch videos, read documents, books, draw pictures, play music and many other features." Josh after knowing that he was busted, decided to be selective on what kind of information he should give to the professor in front of him.
Hearing the features as he approached the young Joshua, made his eyes sparkle as he got even more interested.
"That's amazing, that even with the features of a Pokedex would make a good tool for all the professors and researchers, it's indeed a good technology to have. How much memory must have to use all these features? 50 Megabytes? 100 Megabytes?" Professor knew that usually, a Pokedex from Kanto would have 10 Megabytes, he expected the technology would be something beyond his expectations.
"Megabyte? Professor this tablet is 64 Gigabytes with a Sandisk Card of 128 Gigabytes." Then the bomb was dropped, making the professor slip himself in surprise. "Professor Oak"
The professor ignored the shout from the boy in front of him, he ignored his bruises as he proceed to pale from the information at the moment.
"Gi..Gi..Gi..GIGABYTES?" Professor Oak shouted in disbelief as he got up quickly as walked near the boy who was still looking at him in concern. "192 Gigabytes? That's something impossible, Joshua. My best machines in the lab have a maximum of 2 Gigabytes of memory and you are telling me that this little technology has more than 190 Gigabytes inside of it?"
"I don't know if I should say this but my laptop has 1 Terabyte of Memory." At the moment the boy said that Professor Oak fainted in shock and in disbelief. Leaving the young boy shaking his head and facepalming himself. "Well, I should have expected... But it was worth the risk."
.
.
.
"So you are telling me, that Kanto is left behind from all the technologies and research from all the regions so far?" Professor Oak, after having a stroke of such shocking news, managed to make himself a good tea to calm himself down, as the young boy talked calmy of the news.
"Exactly, Galar is making research about making giant pokemon which could make the poke battles like a giant even which would make everyone shout and scream excited. Alola is making research on new technologies which could make battle techniques be the interaction of Pokemon and poketrainer use their friendship and synchronism to power up the attack in ways you would never expect. I think their machines already have Terabytes of memories. And Kanto was left behind from all the new discovery." Josh placed his hand at the professor who felt so down after knowing that everything he researched before was being left behind by the technologies of other regions.
"All of this, and I still thought that the research of my life would be discovering all the 150 pokemon from the Kanto region. Now I feel like all the professors would be far on their researches and would make an old man stuck on his time." Professor Oak didn't actually take the news about him being the professor behind the others really well. "I just don't understand how much everyone advanced thought 1997."
"Wait... 1997?" Josh's eyes went wide open as he heard the news from the professor who seemed to look at him curiously.
"What? Yeah, we are on March 14th of 1997." Professor Oak looked curiously at the boy who seemed to think well on his thoughts. "Joshua are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, that something must have made me realize something... You are not that far behind Professor Oak... If you make the right research at this moment, you may be actually ahead of most of the professors from all the regions." Josh smiled as he looked at the professor spark of hope appeared in his eyes.
"Do you mean it?" The professor always had a good heart, and even treated the boy by letting him inside of his lab and even giving him medicine, he didn't know how much the boy in front of him knew and how much impact he would do on that day.
"Yes. I believe you are capable of that." Josh saying that made the professor breathe as he looked at the boy with such interest... As he thought some ideas in his mind.
"Tell me, Joshua, do you mind if I do some research on your equipment?" Professor Oak looked solemn at the boy and his eyes went wide open.
"Woa, woa, woa. Calm down, professor. I said I believe in you, but I don't want to give one of the best things of my life in your hands." Josh is a good boy, but there is a philosophy that he always taught himself, never let others touch his cellphone or his tablet, or his computer. It's a bad omen.
But the boy didn't expect the professor to be on his knees and with his two hands raised together as a form of begging, the young streamer never thought to see someone willing to beg in front of him.
"Please Joshua, for the future of my research, I just need the best equipment and yours seem that will be the discovery of the entire century. I promise that I will find my way to replicate everything without destroying it. Or if I destroy it. I will find a way to compensate you 100 times the damages you have." The professor closed his eyes, as the young man didn't know what to do at that moment.
Leaving in the middle of silence, he looked at the Ditto which turned its head in confusion, which didn't help him at all. Making the man sigh in sadness.
"Alright. I can borrow my equipment. But bear in mind that I don't know if they are working on it, but I think you can find a way to make it work... But please... I don't mind much about the equipment... But the memories and archives that are inside of them that are most important to me... They are my memories of me and my friends and this is what I treasure most. Promise me that you will not mess this up, professor." Josh's most important archives were his games files, the videos he had of himself and his friends, the music inside of his cellphone, and all the pictures and drawings that he had of the pokemon he had.
This was his treasure, and from the tone of voice Professor Oak knew that he was seriously giving him a request which he solemn nodded to him.
"I promise that I guarantee that I will find a way to replicate this technology without damaging the memories of your equipment. I will not tempt fate and I will do my best to make it work. I promise." The professor in a serious tone got up from his place and looked at Josh who was with his hand showing a handshake, he nodded as they both came into an agreement.
"Okay professor, I trust you," Josh said as the professor gave him a good handshake.
That morning was a signal of a new beginning for them. New research for a professor, and a new life for the boy who came from the deeps of the sea.
