The beautiful sunset was over the air, as the workers came back from their respective jobs from Pallet Town and the Pidgeys flying through the sky as a good way to find their nests to make a good night of sleep. The Pokémon and the human are going to their respective homes to rest after another day.
After a good bath and changes of clothing, using his traditional Galar jacket with the logo of his stream channel and the baggy pants, knowing that possibly the night will be colder, he decided to dress with something comfy and warm even in the afternoon.
Josh saw himself staring at a door from a house 7 houses away from the laboratory. In the game, the house located itself behind the lab, with Ash's house as a neighbor. Even if it was 6 houses away from the lab, that is still something that would have followed the game. Gary and Ash were neighbors, but the lab was a few houses away from them. Something that a new Pokémon remake would modify, but still didn't. Surprisingly not even Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu didn't fix it either.
At the moment he sighs to himself knowing how the day will go, he decides to knock on the door a few times. Hearing a few steps Josh has a few seconds to prepare himself for what would be his first impression from an anime that he hasn't watched in years. He always was used to the game characters instead of the show.
But at the moment the door was opened, he never thought he would see a young teenage girl with long brown hair, wearing a simple green dress and short sleeves shirt. She looked simple but a cute girl nonetheless.
"Oh hello, you must be Joshua. My grandpa told us a lot about you. Please, come in." The girl smiled sweetly as she opened the door for the boy to get inside.
"Sorry for my intrusion," Josh said aloud as a way to catch the attention of the people who live there. "Thank you for your reception."
"It's not a problem, our grandfather is taking a shower, while my brother and I are finishing making the table for dinner." The girl smiled as she led the trainer over the house until she stopped her tracks and gasped as she looked at the boy with both her hands on her mouth. "I forgot, I'm so sorry for not introducing myself. My name is Daisy, Daisy Oak."
Josh, surprised by her outburst, decided to wave his hands.
"That's okay, you don't need to worry about this. It happens with everyone. Actually, I forgot to ask so that may be my fault. But now that you introduced yourself, let me introduce myself. Call me Josh." Josh smiled as Daisy looked at him confused by the way he said his name.
"I thought your name was Joshua. My father calls you Joshua all the time." Daisy is trying to understand why both names weren't common for a person to use. Josh chuckled at her reaction.
"Actually Joshua is my birth name, but Josh is more informal and it's my nickname made by my friends. Professor Oak knows it and still remains to call me by my real name since that would bring a tone of reverence and respect between both parties. Even after I tell him to call me Josh many times, but well... I'm used to him calling me Joshua." Josh shrugged as he followed the granddaughter of the most famous researcher from Kanto, while he looked at everything possible at the house. He saw some old pictures which surprisingly was something that not every fan of pokemon had the chance to see.
He saw the family portrait of Professor Oak with his 2 grandchildren. From it, he saw a young man with a Nodorino on his side and a teenager with a Gengar on her side. Josh knows well from all the Pokémon Fire Red openings. Josh knows that it was both professor Oak and Agatha who were side by side. Old rivals and great friends it seems.
"Hmmm, now I see. Well I'm glad that you think we can be friends Josh." Daisy smiled as she received the request from the streamer who seemed more relaxed after looking at all the family portraits. "You seemed to be interested in looking around."
"Oh, it's not what you are thinking. I'm just enjoying seeing Professor Oak as a teenager and young man. Because you can see the differences between then and now." Josh heard that raised his guard before hearing the girl Oak giggled from his reaction.
"I was joking you silly, but now I see. So you think my grandpa is old and you wanted to see how he was in his prime in the past?" Daisy giggled as Josh chuckled nervously from her reaction, but relaxed after a few seconds.
"Well, you never know someone until you hear his story, his great achievements and his mistakes. Everyone has a story to tell." Josh shrugged his arms as he reminded some of his great friends and all the struggles they had. And while many haters have been cursing and even trying to make them sad. Josh knew well that nobody knows someone until he understands the story behind him or her.
Daisy's eyes went wide open as she looked in contemplation of the words the teenager had said to her. Nodding in silence, Daisy smiled warmly at the boy who gave her good advice.
"It's really deep words you have said Josh. Now I see why my grandpa says you are a mature person... oh we are here," Daisy said as they finally got to the kitchen. The talk looked so short but so meaningful to her, that she even sounded disappointed after she got in the kitchen.
Josh sighed in relief inside his mind. He knew that Daisy maybe was looking like an innocent girl, but she is sharp as a knife. Her question got him off guard, but now that he is in the kitchen he could just sit there and wait for the professor to come as they eat with another topic in mind.
"So are you the guy my grandpa told me about? You don't seem that great." Then another voice could be heard from the kitchen, which took the attention of both teenagers.
"Gary! Have some manners." Daisy chided while she narrowed her eyes at the pretentious boy wearing a purple blouse and black pants.
"Wow. His character was indeed like from the games. Even his voice fits his attitude well, at least he isn't Begge." Josh thought with himself as he contemplated the boy in silence.
He then looked at Daisy who seemed disappointed in her brother.
"Sorry about him. He may sound arrogant, but believe me that deep inside of him, he has a good heart." Daisy looked apologetic to the young man in front of her, which Josh doubted immensely.
"Well if you say so." Josh immediately knew how arrogant Gary was... he was Blue, the future champion from Kanto, but following the anime. Josh doesn't remember if Gary or Ash actually had the chance to become champion from the league. Ash of course isn't... but did Gary? Questions crossed his mind, but after seeing the boy in front of him, he knew that Ash would have his hands full on his rivalry. "So you are the grandchildren that Professor Oak told me today."
Gary and Daisy nodded their heads, as they became in silence observing Josh's first impression of them.
At the moment Josh was going to open his mouth, a familiar voice came from behind him.
"Oh, Joshua! It's good that you are here. It seems that you have met my treasures, Daisy and Gary Oak." Professor Oak, after dressing himself more comfortably while using some straps over his face and his body, seemed to be recovering from the events of that morning.
"I'm glad that you are feeling better professor." Josh brushed aside his thoughts and focused on the professor who came to greet him. "And they seemed to be good kids."
"I'm glad that you seem to like them. Kids, I hope you are treating Josh well. He has been helping me with the research in the lab until his registration is ready in 3 days before his journey." Professor Oak walked to his table where the banquet and silverware were. Professor moved his chair as he gestured to the boy to come and follow his example. "Please kids, let's eat while the dinner is served."
Like good children, both Gary and Daisy walked over to their seats and prepared their plates to eat, leaving Josh walking slowly at the table and acting in silence, following their examples.
It was mostly rice, curry, crab, fish, and even a stake over the table; it indeed looked like a banquet. Josh was used to having to eat prepared food brought by Professor Oak at the lab and he was grateful to receive such hospitality from the professor. Still, it had been a long time since he saw crab meat and now he was interested to enjoy the time eating something good.

"So how has been your training with Ditto, Joshua?" Professor Oak as he started eating and using his napkin he decided to make a conversation with the boy who came to have dinner with his family. "Ever since the incident over this morning, I forgot to ask how your training sessions have been."
"It's been solid, slow pace but solid. Now that Ditto can manage to use techniques from the transformed pokemon, now he can have battle experience against Pokémon in our journey. But I gave him restrictions and explained to him our next step of training." Josh cleaned his face and smiled at the professor who seemed satisfied with the results of his own training. "Ditto trained himself to the core during these 6 days. I want him to know that this time we will not have a time limit of 3 days to do another stunt."
"I'm glad that you think that way Joshua, because most trainers don't know the word limit or resting and overusing a Pokémon may cause it to have exhaustion. Pokémon Centers aren't very receptive to trainers who abuse their pokemon in that way." Professor Oak warned Josh as he received a nod from the trainer who understood the consequences of such actions.
"I can imagine that. I wouldn't like to receive an awful look from a Nurse Joy. I heard that it's a bad omen." Josh remembered how some famous YouTubers lost their pokemon because of awful advice from a friend, sending an Onix to a Jinx would make Nurse Joy's twitch and her teeth gritted in anger. "Yeah, sending an Onix to a Jinx and expecting that a Nurse Joy wouldn't try to kill me?... I don't want to be in this position."
Both Gary and Daisy looked at each other trying to understand the meaning of his words, but Professor Oak seemed to get used to the boy's antics and started chuckling.
"Yes, yes. Reminds me one day about the boy whose friends almost made his Onix die by freezing to death. I think Nurse Joy would like to see their names." Professor Oak smiled, but behind his smile was something sinister that could be seen from it, which made Josh rethink what he was going to say.
"Oh yeah, someday I will, but until then let's talk about the journey. I know that Steph and Eric would be the ones to start in 3 days. I know for a fact that there is a Poké Ball remaining if they choose each one. So there is another boy going on a journey in a few days?" Josh, after taking a glass of water, noticed that Professor Oak looked at the boy surprised, as both Daisy and Gary's eyes went wide open.
"And once again your deductions seemed correct. Well, why not say for yourself, Gary?" Professor Oak glanced at the boy who seemed to huff himself as he stuffed his chest.
Josh raised his eyebrow and glanced at the boy who seemed so full of himself but indeed a good rival for Red from the Pokémon game.
"You know it. I will be defeating all the gym leaders in no time and registering at the Pokémon League Championship to become the new champion! Maybe you can see me win the championship." Gary scratched his nose proud of himself, as Josh looked at professor Oak and Daisy with his eyes giving a blank stare.
Both Professor and the elder granddaughter noticed what his eyes were saying, as they looked away nervously. Making Josh sigh in disappointment.
"Well, at least I'm glad that you seem to focus on being in the league and being champion. I just hope you don't waste your time and get lazy or worse, depending on luck on all Pokémon battles you go in." Joshua usually likes a good trash-talking with friends, but to someone who passed all his life trash-talking and winning to Red and Ash? Nah, he wouldn't want to have this burden on him. Gary isn't worth it to be his rival.
The eyes of Gary narrowed as he huffed himself.
"What are you talking about? Just stupid boys would waste time instead of getting strong and train and just lurk around to depend on luck to impress gym trainers to receive a gym badge." Gary knew that it wasn't him that Josh was talking about, but he felt insulted by being compared to someone of that caliber.
This actually made Josh smile.
"Finally, someone understands the concept of training. But I have to advise you something, Gary... Sometimes trainers would depend on luck to make a good attack to hit a faster Pokémon and there are other things that luck can turn tables into a poke battle." Josh actually understands well the concept of training, but there is one thing that mostly Pokémon streamers and poketubers prayed during their lives and nuzlockes. One of the most important concepts of luck that all of them prayed so much about. All nuzlockers were destroyed because they were too cocky to forget such a simple fact.
"Such as?" Gary still didn't understand why luck would be so important, but from the tone of voice of the older boy he seemed to be quite interested, but he didn't expect anything that he was going to hear.
"Critical hits." Josh finished, as he glanced not just at the boy confused but the elder girl and professor himself tilting their heads confused. "Hehehe. That's why luck is much more important when used, right? Because you never understand such a simple but most dangerous concept."
"I don't seem to understand Josh, can you explain?" Daisy, who remained quiet, asked as Josh nodded his head.
"Okay, let me tell you this. Imagine a Charmander, a great fire pokemon and he is against an Oddish, which is a pretty basic grass pokemon. Which one of you on the normal concepts of Pokémon battle would win?" Josh smiled as both Gary and Daisy answered without thinking.
"Charmander." Both said in unison which made Josh nod to them.
"Right answer, but now let's focus on the concept of luck. Imagine that a Charmander was ready to use a flamethrower to the Oddish, which in panic launched Acid to Charmander's tail before even having the chance to receive the attack." Josh gave the second scene, which in that minute, the Professor's eyes went wide open by a sudden realization.
"Then Oddish may have won against a Charmander." At that moment the professor said that both his grandchildren looked at the professor surprised. "Since Charmander's flame on its tail is vital to his health, hitting water or rock on the flames could be fatal."
"Exactly. Sometimes a Pokémon can use a technique that will hit one sensitive spot of the pokemon which is battling, like us humans have a sensitive spot into our jaws. If someone knows how to punch, he can land a critical attack on us by hitting exactly at our jaws." Josh gave another analogy that made Gary and Daisy's minds understand what he says, which made them open their mouths in understanding.
"It's great to train, but never underestimate the skills of a Pokémon, which could by luck land a critical hit, and in a gym battle, many trainers would pray for a critical hit to land a really stronger Pokémon and defeat the Pokémon with 1 hit." Josh relaxed as he explained one of the greatest reasons why the critical hit was so amazing.
"ONE HIT!?" Both Daisy and Gary shouted in surprise, as Professor Oak remained quiet making mental notes about the conversation.
"Yep. Imagine an experienced trainer, who has trained his entire team with ice-type pokemon, going against a gym leader with a full dragon team squad. It would be a Pokémon battle of 1 hit K.O. Luck would be needed all the time since ice type is strong against dragons, but a flamethrower would be fatal, and to win against mostly dragons with a good defense, some ice-type Pokémon would need to make a critical hit and trust me... if you think that an Oddish giving a crit to Charmander was amazing, wait until you see what a Pokémon which have an advantage over others can do when he crits. It's unbelievable." Josh remembered himself from such events of good nuzlockes that a good crit would have made not just the player crazy, but all the watchers hyped as well... He remembered that every time he crits and defeats the Pokémon, he gets crazy with excitement.
The professor watched the young man talking about some good examples of how luck could be a good factor in the journey, yet he explained the concept of how training is essential. Professor Oak always had an instinct inside of his gut and a few weeks ago he always thought about Gary or even Ash being capable of becoming a Pokémon master, but after the storm and passing time with the teenager who fell from the sky? Professor Oak knew that Josh was in fact a trainer between 1 and a million, someone who will be champion if he wants. Ash and Gary can become later champions in the future since the gap of experience between them it's 6 years old from the trainer in front of him.
"If there is someone who is capable of doing the impossible Josh, this one is you... what future will bring us because of you?" Professor Oak whispered to himself, as he chuckled at Gary, who seemed to pay attention to even calculus that Joshua was given to him and his granddaughter, who was paying attention to every detail and absorbing all the knowledge that the boy was offering to them.
Knowing that in 3 days would be the last time that he will be in Pallet Town, it would be best to enjoy every moment of it.
"So where are you heading after you receive your registration, Josh?" Daisy, who seemed curious about the plan of the young trainer who will leave the town soon asked as both Professor and Gary glanced at Josh who seemed secure about his plans.
"I know where my starting point is. I'm going to Pewter city to catch my first badge, but first I will need a solid team to help me with my late game. I think I will need something from you professor." Josh knew that there was one important Pokémon which he would need its help in the future and training and creating a connection with the said Pokémon early would be an important decision for him to have. "I need a fishing rod."
Surprised by the request, Professor Oak raised one eyebrow.
"A fishing rod?" Professor Oak said slowly as he received a nod as an answer from the boy on the table.
"I'm convinced that the first Pokémon I should catch... is a Magikarp." At the moment Josh said that Gary looked at Josh in disbelief.
"What? A Magikarp? Why would you try to fish a Magikarp? Since they are easy to find around, there are even people who sell their Magikarp at a fish price." Gary's tone sounded true like he was not understanding the concept of someone wanting a fish pokemon at the beginning.
"Well, you don't have to believe me. I just want to capture a Magikarp and maybe a Tentacool." Josh didn't want to give Gary his ideas to make it possible for him to use. He already had a good team at the game and in the anime and he already said too much about the Critical Hit. Giving more info for Gary would be like giving a weapon to his enemy to use against him. He actually liked to let him think about the flaws of Magikarp ignoring the main reason why many Pokémon nuzlockers always like to use Magikarp at the beginning.
"Well, I have a fishing Rod and a fishnet if you want to try after receiving the Poké Balls since you will start early. Maybe you should be the first to receive your registration before leaving the lab." Professor Oak knowing that Josh actually didn't interact much with Stephanie and Eric made him choose to travel alone on his journey and he couldn't ask him to go with Gary, since at the moment he can see that both of them didn't seem to act like friends, but neither rivals. It was more like colleagues at maximum and Joshua wouldn't want to have the responsibility to take care of someone else.
"That's all I ask, professor." Josh smiled happily with his plan in mind. He noticed that Gary was looking at him, not the same air of snob as before, but someone wary of his existence and a bit of respect?
That's something Josh never thought to see so soon. But after finishing eating, Josh cleaned himself and gave his goodbyes to the family.
.
.
.
"I'm back." Josh walked inside of the lab and looked at Ditto sleeping on his bed. Chuckling from the view, Josh carefully placed the blanket on the floor as he used another one to sleep on the bed. "3 days and the journey started. Good Night Ditto... Good night Pikachu." Josh finally closed his eyes, praying for the start of his adventure to begin sooner.
3 days later:
At 5 a.m the Pallet Town was quiet, but not for that long since it was the most important day for some kids over that town. All the town would wait for the young trainers to take their starters and leave for the most important day of their lives.
After his final day of sleep on Pallet Town, Josh started his day like usual, waking up with a loud yawn and a stretch before exchanging his clothes. After leaving the back part of the lab, he looked at the Professor who seemed to be smiling proudly at him.
At the moment Josh came there, both researcher and teenager shared a comfortable silence as they looked at each other like they have been good friends for years of friendship.
"It's finally the day Joshua. To tell you the truth, I wished that this day could have taken longer just to talk more with you and share our knowledge together. However, knowing how excited you were, I know that you aren't sharing the same feelings as me." Professor Oak chuckled as Josh looked so excited that he was with his legs trembling, but still smiling at the good times he passed with the professor. It was an experience he will never forget.
Professor Oak went to his cabinet and from there he brought something which made Josh's eyes go wide open. A black backpack.
"Here in this backpack, I placed a few supplies for water and food for 2 days on your trip to the next city if you camp over the forest so you will not need to rush. There is also a sleeping bag and a map for you to not get lost as well and most importantly…" At that moment, Professor Oak opened the backpack. Josh's eyes almost salted from his face. His tablet and his laptop were there. And they got exchanged to another color, a bronze-red color with sharing light on its back. "Rotom finally made a duplicate of your equipment and these changes that your equipment will have and you have personal assistance inside there which is one of Rotom's features."
As he looked at his tablet and laptop, Josh smiled happily at the professor, who seemed to be so careful to accomplish his promise and it seems that everything was correct. However, there was one thing missing and from the look of the young boy, Professor Oak smiled at him.
"I didn't forget it. Here is your new Pokédex." At that moment, Professor Oak then grabbed from his pocket a cellphone that looked exactly like a combination of a cellphone with Rotom colors on it. The square shape with a lightning gradient shape on the back made Josh look in awe at his new cellphone. "This is the first Pokédex that I have ever seen capable of making phone calls and other features that I will take a good time to enjoy learning about since Rotom can help me figure out the features of this creation. Thank you for collaborating with me Joshua."
Offering a hand, Josh didn't waste time to give him a handshake.
"The pleasure was mine, Professor. It's been a good experience I had during these weeks and I will be sure that whenever I get time, I will call you directly and talk to you about my journey." Josh smiled as he glanced at the professor and moved his head to lead him to the table.
Following Professor Oak, he then found over the table what he was looking for during all these days. A badge case and 6 Poké Balls and a belt to place the Poké Balls.
"The registration is already completed by the council and you are approved to start your journey. Also the fishing rod is at the door." After pointing at the door, Josh wore his backpack and placed his cellphone in his pocket, like where it always should be and added the Poké Balls on the belt and placed it on his tights. Josh couldn't help but show a tiny smile.
"So this is it..." Josh had imagined so many things to say at this right moment, but it was difficult to say goodbye to someone who gave him a place to sleep and food to eat and helped him with the basics of caring for the Pokémon. Gratitude was everything passing on his mind, as the old professor smiled tiredly at the young man.
"It seems so. Joshua, these 10 days must have been an experience for both of us. I wish you a safe journey and all your dreams becoming true." Professor placed his hand over the boy's shoulder as he smiled one last time before giving him a tap on his back. "Now, go. I hope to hear about your journey in the future."
Smiling at him, Josh nodded to the professor as he went to the door and took the fishing rod before leaving the Lab.
Noticing that just 2 people were over there, he waved to them before leaving for his journey. Not many people from the town knew about Josh, but some were friendly enough to shout good luck to him before leaving the town.
.
.
.
"So this is the river I was looking for." Josh smiled at the look of the river which crossed the forest. Still, the sun was rising slowly and good fishermen would work early. Including himself, since he had this mentality he decided to start fishing that day. Finding a good rock at the other side of the river, Josh smiled as he finally placed his fish hook on the water. "Now it's time for my favorite time of the day. Music time.~"
Inside his jacket pocket, there was a little black case which Josh waited so long to finally open. Revealed from inside are 2 earbuds from a company whose friend sponsored a lot of his videos, a pair of Raycon earbuds which he happily placed on his ears and took from his pocket his cellphone he waited 9 days to use.
Opening his files, he noticed that everything was in its right place and Professor Oak fulfilled his promise, making him sigh in relief. Now going to his music file, Josh decided to place some of his favorite pokemon music to enjoy the environment around him.
.
.
.
"Pa pan pa pa pan paraparararan, pararara parararaara paaaararaaaraarararaaaaaa paaaararaaaraarararaaaaaa " Josh was humming one of his favorite gym leaders songs from all generations as he waited patiently for a Pokémon bite, not noticing that there was a girl who used a bicycle to go near to a rock a few meters away from him. The tomboyish girl with orange hair watched at the streamer smiling as he was fishing.
"Hey." The girl tried to call the boy but he didn't seem to not notice her, which made her pout angrily and move beside him screaming. "HEY."
The shouting didn't seem to affect him, as he smiled at the fishing rod and nodded his head at the rhythm.
The girl stomped her foot angrily.
"ARE YOU LISTENING TO ME?" The girl shouted furiously but then she noticed that there was something on his ears, then she decided to do something different. He was staring at the fishing rod, so she decided to place her head in front of him. "HEY."
That got an instant reaction.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH." Josh screamed as the person who placed her head in front of him got scared as she jumped from her place and fell on the floor.
Josh immediately pressed stop from his earbuds as he breathed rapidly and checked his chest. As the girl who seemed to fall down was scratched from the hit, she looked with bloodshot eyes.
"WHAT'S THE BIG IDEA?" The girl was furious as the boy was pressing his chest to recover his breath.
"That's my question. Didn't you know that showing your head in front of others like that suddenly can make people have a heart-attack?" Josh looked annoyed at the girl, but noticing that she was indeed furious, he decided to not raise his voice.
"THAT'S BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T LISTEN TO ME. I WAS CALLING YOU AND YOU WEREN'T ANSWERING, IT'S RUDE TO NOT GREET OTHER PEOPLE WHO WHEN THEY CALL YOU." The orange-haired girl wanted so much to strangle the boy in front of her, that she shouted like a furious dragon wanting to kill something.
That moment Josh noticed what she meant, as he touched his earbuds.
"Ohhhhhh. That explains it." Josh noticed that he was being rude after the girl was indeed trying to be polite but was now furious at him. "Sorry about it. I wasn't hearing you. I was hearing music aloud and I couldn't hear you."
At the moment Josh noticed it was his fault, he decided to give an honest apology, which made the girl raise her eyebrow surprised.
"Music? How?" The girl never heard about the possibility of someone listening to music without a radio since she didn't hear anything around the area. If there was a radio she would have known. "Are you messing with me?"
Josh noticed that the girl seemed suspicious; he chuckled at her reaction and decided to take one of his earbuds and offer it to her.
"Just use one of these in your ear and you will see what I mean." Josh offered a black object which the girl seemed to glance at, before shrugging her arms and accepting it. Josh placed the play button as she was almost pressing the earbud on her ear. Noticing that before her ear was touched, she noticed the music flowing through the black object on her hand.
The girl's eyes went wide open as she saw the boy smiling at her like he was telling her that he knew what her reaction would be.
After placing it on her ear, the music was flowing perfectly without any interference. It was like an entire orchestra playing something so exciting and so ferocious. The girl closed her eyes, and she saw herself at her city, as she watched many challengers, and her using her entire water team to defeat them without mercy. The girl was shaking her body with the flow of the music.
Josh chuckled as he watched the fish rod remain still and nothing was biting. Still was a good moment to enjoy music and now with someone, he knows full well who was. The second gym leader of the entire Kanto. Misty.
As the music went on and on, both trainers enjoyed the flow of music as they hummed happily at the song of the gym battle from Pokemon Ruby.
"PAAAAAARARARARAARAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARARAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA." Both sang around at the rhythm of the music before finally the music's over.
"Wow. This was amazing." The girl felt like it was a treasure hidden and now she had it in her hands, but she had to give it back to the boy. "Thank you for sharing."
"No problem. It's the minimum I should do after scaring you and being rude. Name's Josh by the way." After almost suffering a heart attack, Josh knew well that it was his fault for forgetting that he wouldn't be alone since most trainers would find themselves eventually.
"Misty." The girl replied with a smile, after finally calming down from 10 minutes ago. "I came here, hoping that you wouldn't mind if I go fishing here too?"
"Oh, nah, you can fish here as well. Since I just got here a few minutes ago I didn't know that another trainer would come here this early in the morning to fish for Pokémon." Josh smiled as Misty sat beside him prepared her fish rook to catch a pokemon. While both remain in silence Josh decides to talk. "So which Pokemon are you trying to catch?"
"A Horsea." Misty smiled happily as she imagined herself holding such cute Pokémon.
"Hmmm... Aren't they localized in Cinnabar Island?" Josh's question made Misty's cute dream shatter at the moment he asked aloud.
"ARE THEY!?" Misty shouted as her face showed broken dreams, which from the grim smile he had, made Misty sigh in disappointment. "Maybe that's why I didn't find it from the last 3 cities. Well, now that I know where to go it seems that I don't know what to do today."
"Well, you could help me to capture one or 2 Pokémon since what I'm needing is a good backup for them," Josh asked as Misty glanced at him suspiciously.
"Back up? What do... Oh no... please tell me you aren't going to." Misty face became pale as Josh nodded his head.
"That's right. I'm going to catch a Magikarp and a Tentacool," Josh said firmly, and at the moment Misty was going to get angry and refuse and even rebuke that the boy was a crazy suicidal.
Misty stopped her track and looked at him confused.
"A Magikarp and a Tentacool?" Misty fear slowly went away when Josh nodded firmly to her. "Stupid! I thought you wanted to do something crazy like trying to catch a Gyrados."
"HELL NO," Josh shouted out loud, making Misty jump from her place. "That's the reason I want to catch a Magikarp. I prefer that my Pokémon and I would be on great terms before the power of hatred overcomes his old shell and makes him one of the strongest pokemon in Kanto."
After looking at him in silence, Misty started giggling.
"Okay, nice analogy. I will use it." After taking another interest in knowing about the boy on her side, Misty smiled as she placed her fish rod as well. "Alright, you convinced me to help you. If any of them bite up we can catch them quickly."
"Thanks." Josh smiled at the girl, who seemed to keep looking at him as she waited for something. That made him sigh and take his Raycon earbuds and give one to Misty who punched in the air like a winner.
