As the night over Veridian Town finally could come to a peaceful and tranquil environment, our heroes finally could enjoy their time of break after such a chaotic day. Enjoying a victory meal for each of them.

"Here comes a four-cheese pizza." The attendant came with her skaters as she gave the entire pizza fulfilled with cheese over a table with 3 people around. "A bit late for dinner, but I'm glad to serve everyone who comes to pay for a good meal."

The boy who gave her his poke card paid gladly as he enjoyed the look of his meal.

"Sorry once again about interrupting your closing time, but it was an emergency, and Poke Center was without supplies for a meal until they fix the energy cables from the delinquents. We will not take long." Josh said once again as he looked at the attendant who once again smiled at him, it was so surprisingly nice people around, it would be really difficult to imagine that Giovani, the gym leader of this city and the boss of Team Rocket actually stays as gym leader of this city.

"Sure. Thank you for the consideration." The attendant turned her back and went to the balcony, leaving the trio alone as they started digging into their slices.

"So…chump. I can't believe that you actually managed to defeat Team Rocket so easily." The young boy started talking with his mouth full, leaving both the girl and the teenager who paid for the food with an annoying expression on him.

Misty on her part used her fist to punch his back head to make him feel pain.

"Eat before you talk, you stupid. Have some manners over the table." Misty was almost having a migraine as she couldn't believe that she now had to deal with someone like Ash since now she decided to make one of the decisions she may regret the most part of her life.

After eating his slice, Josh actually waited a bit as Ash actually felt the pain and tried to remain quiet.

"So Misty, what are you going to do with him?" Josh who has been friends with Misty for hours, decided to ask the most important decision of her life.

Misty glanced sideways as she narrowed her eyes to him, as the boy gulped.

"Since he destroyed my entire bike, now he had to pay for a new bike for me, meaning that I will be stuck like glue to him until he has the money for it. I will be like a Shelder at a Slowpoke's tail." Misty narrowed her eyes to the boy who started cringing and trying to diminish himself to not be attacked by her.

"I said I was sorry." Ash tried to defend himself. "Pikachu was in problems, I had to save him, Pikachu help me out with this."

As Ash asked for the help of his partner, Pikachu was alone eating his own slice of pizza, as he ignored the pleas of his friend.

"I can't believe it." Ash smashed his face at the table.

"Well it always happens to the best friends, you wouldn't want to risk yourself being hurt again. Sorry dude but you messed up so hard that you have someone to stick with you until the end of your life if it was needed." Josh couldn't give comfort to the boy who was feeling already down. "Well sucks to be you. Good luck with her."

"What do you mean Josh? Aren't you going with us?" Misty asked as she looked a bit worried and almost upset.

"Misty, look at me. I'm a 16 years old boy and you are 11 years old, If people see me with you and without thinking that maybe I'm your older brother it would be troublesome to me since you just need to stay with people of your age, and now look at him." Josh pointed at himself as he didn't want to make people think that he was in a relationship with a kid 5 years younger than him, it would create a lot of problems. And as he looked at the cap trainer, rolled his eyes as the boy seemed so eager to keep eating the pizza. "He is an official trainer, meaning that he will actually go to try to win trainers and gym leaders in the same way as I do. And in the end, we will have pokemon league, meaning sooner or later I and him have to fight against each and other… Why should I go with him if he somehow learns all my tricks and uses them against me?"

Misty who kept herself silent, couldn't help but agreed with him, but the boy who was eating suddenly had his eyes wide open and looked at him in disbelief.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN I'M GOING TO LEARN YOU TRICKS?" Ash shouted in disbelief as Misty narrowed her eyes to him, and yet Josh remained with his eyes bored. "I already have my way to being a pokemon master, I don't need help. I will win against you, Gary, and everyone in front of me. Just you wait. I will have the badges before everyone. I will be the first to be at the pokemon league."

It would have been more intimidating if Ash actually had some morals before entering Veridian City, but since both boy and girl knew well what everything happened. Both of them just shook their heads.

"I can't believe that I will have to follow him wherever he goes," Misty complained disappointed, as Josh shrugged his head.

"He has 10 years old Misty, you should have patience with him, it actually normal for kids acts like that," Josh said as he started to use his cellphone and mostly ignore the rants of the boy. Noticed that it was almost 11 p.m and the pizza was almost over. He decided to give one more reason for why he shouldn't be with them until suddenly his cellphone started playing the tune. Which made the trio stop at their places. Josh knows that someone was calling him. "Hello?"

"Joshua? Is that you?" The familiar voice called which made Josh raise his eyebrow in surprise.

"Professor Oak? Are you awake at this hour?" The sounding question made not just his friend raises her eyebrows surprised, but the boy who wore the cap looked at him in disbelief.

"Is that Professor Oak? How are you talking to him?" Ash asked surprised as the teenager used his finger on his own mouth.

"Shushhhh." Josh shushed Ash as he made hear what his friend has to say.

"Yes. Actually, Rotom manual instruction inside the Pokedex looked rather useful and gave me a lot of features that I'm starting to enjoy my day. It's so amazing what this little equipment can do. I'm learning how to use it during this week, and next week I will try to use the next equipment called Tablet." The soft voice his friend said, made Josh starts to feel happy to learn something new about his friend. "Actually I want to talk about something important."

"What is it?" Josh asked as he looked around to see the face of Misty curious, and Ash who was over the table, which made Josh narrow his eyes.

"Sit down." He used his mouth without making a sound as he pointed at the sit the boy should go.

Ash had to sit in his place with a pout, leaving Josh to roll his eyes once again.

"Joshua I saw for the video screen of Poke Center your friend giving a kind of payback to him. And before you say something, I'm aware of what happened, and I don't condemn the results of causes and consequences of the said actions. But now I need you to do me a favor." Professor expressed his wisdom as he solemn looked like he accepted the ways as they should be. Ash couldn't escape from Misty.

"A favor?" Josh asked aloud as he started to eat one of the final slices.

"I know that this will be so much for you Joshua, but I need you to keep an eye on Ash for me…" The voice of Professor Oak was loud enough to make not just Josh hear, but even Misty try to hide her happiness, and Ash look at the cellphone in disbelief. Josh raised his eyebrows as he expected to hear something more. "I know that's too much to ask. I know that you and Ash will have all the badges and have to face each other at the pokemon league. Having someone experienced on his side, Ash can improve himself as a pokemon trainer."

"Professor, are you seriously asking me to babysit a kid?" Josh's voice didn't sound angry or cold, but some kind of between amused and annoyed at the same time. "Aren't you pushing our friendship too much to ask for all these favors?"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN I NEED A BABYSITTER?" Ash shouted in anger as Josh ignored him and Misty used her hand to close the mouth of the boy who seemed annoyed by the way they are talking to him.

"I know, I know. It's the second favor I asked you, and you already did too much for me. You giving your time to me replicate your equipment for my research and help me to develop my technology is something beyond many would do for me. But this question isn't from me actually." Professor Oak sighed as he understood that he was pushing a bit for his friend, they didn't actually pass an entire month and Josh didn't ask much, but the professor has been already asking too much for him, but he had a good reason for that.

"Then who…"

"Hello?" A female voice came from the cellphone which made Josh's mind confuse, but that voice kinda sounds familiar. "Are you Joshua that Professor Oak has been talking about?"

"Yes. I am…" Josh sounded confused as he tried to remember who the voice came from… until something clicked.

"I'm Delia Ketchum, if you found Ash, I'm his mother." Then the memories came to mind as the trainer remembered once again the voice of the woman who kept alone on Pallet as her son traveled around Kanto being a trainer. "I was around when I heard that Ash may have been in some problems, and from the look Professor Oak, he explained to me that Ash will need some kind of guidance for him to not be in too much trouble… So I asked him if he knows someone to keep an eye on him for a while… Until he doesn't get hurt too much."

The sweet voice as the tender tone of worries coming from her, was indeed what made Josh look at the boy who seemed pouting as Misty looked annoyed but kinda enjoying provoking since he was in silence.

Josh hummed for a few seconds and came to a decision.

"Well Miss Ketchum, I can keep an eye on him for a while. But Professor Oak will tell you how I'm planning my own journey… I cannot promise that I will be with him all the time since some parts of the journey we will go in separated ways." Josh didn't want to sound impolite but he didn't want to sound like a pushover, he wants to go on his own journey, and not be dragged by Ash and his friends all the time.

"I understand, thank you so much for going to keep an eye on him." Delia once again gave thanks as she placed the cellphone to professor Oak.

"Joshua thank you again for accepting." Professor Oak sounded in relief as Josh nodded his head.

"I understand the reason behind everything. But Professor, I will not give to him my strategies or how much I know about Pokemon. I don't want to train someone who is going to defeat me… The only thing I can do most becomes a sparring partner all the time for him. If he wants to battle against me all the time to train his pokemon. Sure, but just that. I will not say things that me and you know." Josh gave the facts, he wasn't going to explain the way he uses his tactics, or even teach meaningful things over the Pokemon world. If Ash wants to become a pokemon master, he may need to do it alone.

"I understand completely Joshua, and you have the right to do it. But what Delia wants most is for her son to be protected… Both of us want it…" Professor Oak indeed sounded in concern about the boy, which made Josh actually feel touched, but he still looked annoyed by one fact.

"I understand Professor Oak, I really do. But sometimes it feels like I'm feeling like a pushover. I wanted to explore Kanto in my own peace. And train my pokemon carefully one by one." Josh explained as he was still intrigued by some problems that he may encounter when it comes to his pokemon. "I mean, who is going to train them when I capture more than the actual team I have?"

"Well, since this is the main problem you will find over the journey Joshua, why not let me take this responsibility? I already developed a reservation sanctuary for all your pokemon on the West side of my property. So if you let me help you to develop the training of your pokemon while you take your journey with Ash and the others. I will be glad to help you." Professor Oak noticing the tired look from the young teenager didn't realize his mistake until he noticed a shift on the face of the boy, he suddenly started to smile happily, and later he looked with an evil grin.

"Ohh really?" From the tone of his voice, Professor Oak suddenly had a bad feeling about the reaction. "I'm so glad Professor Oak because I was looking to let my pokemon into somewhere into a farm like a Pokemon Day Care, which days over there the pokemon would become far stronger, and with the schedule of training I'm developing for my own Pokemon? It would require a strict schedule and a lot of time. Thank you for offering yourself, professor Oak."

As the words came from the young trainer, Professor Oak noticed with his eyes wide open he did a terrible mistake.

"NO JOSHUA, I DIDN'T MEAN." Professor Oak tried to fix what he said.

"Thank you so much for doing me this favor by free professor Oak, I'm glad that I can let my pokemon train with your care, now I can take care of this journey calmly. Now I gotta go see yah." Josh smiled as he turn off his cellphone, leaving Professor Oak alone and looking at his own cellphone in shock.

"Is this how it feels like to make a deal with a Gengar? Because I felt cheated." Professor Oak asked himself as he had memories of his childhood friend who warned him about deals with the devil ghost pokemon.

After finishing the call, Josh chuckled as he ignored the stare of the duo looking at him.

"Well, it seems that Professor Oak wants me to do another favor. And since he helped me to get my poke trainer license, I'm willing to keep an eye on you on the journey. We will depart in 2 days." Josh hid his cellphone as he happily decided to give the schedule that he and the others will follow.

Not everyone was glad about that decision.

"What? Why can't we go tomorrow morning? We have to get quickly to the gym since the league will be in 9 months." Ash became anxious about knowing that they would stay another day in the city, and he wanted to be faster and keep pace with his rival Gary and the other 2 trainers from pallet town.

"9 months? Wow, I never thought I had all that time… Okay we will depart in 5 days then." Josh after hearing about how much time it would need to take for the pokemon League to start, it means that he was true with a lot of time sparing for the league, meaning that his team would be like a solid powerful team.

"WHAT? BUT WE HAVE TO HURRY." Ash shouted once more, which made both Josh and Misty roll their eyes as they got up from their seats.

"So you are in hurry. For what? Being a Pokemon league isn't about who got there first. But who is the strongest of them all." Josh decided to flick his finger making the boy feel a bit of pain in his forehead. "If you got there first, well good for you since there are people far ahead of you, and while you were running at the storm, destroying people's personal things, the others may already have a gym badge before you."

"But…but…Gary." Ash tried to argue with the boy who took his pokecredit card with him and went to pay for their meal.

"That's your problem boy. You are so anxious about focusing on just one scene, that you didn't actually capture the entire movie. You need to enjoy the beauty of being a pokemon trainer. I and Misty were not just going slow just to train a lot my Ditto, we were actually enjoying all the good experiences as we walked around nature. Heck, I bet that you even heard me and Misty enjoying our talk while we walked until here."

Ash looked at the girl who glared hatefully at him, before sighing.

"Yeah, you made your threats really scary as you walked here. But can't we just go tomorrow? It's a forest we can pass through on the first day." Ash shrove after he remembered the pain he felt under his pants. But looked hopefully at the boy who was paying the cashier.

Josh glanced at the boy once again, this time in a more contemplative manner…

"Well, we could. But there is a huge problem with this idea Ash." Josh used his reason as a pokemon streamer than an anime character would think. "If your pokemon gets hurt, how are you going to treat him? Since in the middle of the forest we don't know what kind of pokemon we would see."

Ash was going to protest by raising his head, but Josh shook his head.

"And no, it would be stupid that if you just hurt your pokemon, you would just try to run back to here, since in the middle of the forest we could get lost and we couldn't be prepared if one of us rush the things up. I said we would stay 5 days here because here have more resources for us to prepare ourselves." Josh raised his palm and one of his fingers he was going to use as an example. "We need pokeballs, potions, antidotes, maps, a compass, a tent, food for us and for the pokemon, tips on how to travel over the woods, a rope and a repel in case there are strong pokemon and we want to sleep."

With every point he was giving over the talk, the better view Misty was having from her recent friend. Someone who got on the journey on the first day, and he already was planning on the concept of survival.

"We don't know if the forest was indeed a 1-day trip, it could be 20 days if we get lost. And trust me, if I get lost in the forest because someone rushed me and didn't give me time to prepare myself. I would lose my mind." Josh pointed a finger at the kid in front of him and didn't say any hurtful thing, just stating the facts. "Ash, I know you are a good kid. But please, don't rush me. You can be at a race and try to ignore my point. But I know that even I in a slow pace. I can win what you kids have been trying to do since you decided to run for the entire day."

Ash remained in silence, as he saw Josh wave to the attendant for the last time before leaving the pizzeria.

After seeing him leave, Ash looked at the girl who had just beaten him up a few hours early, as she tried to remain quiet as well.

"And what do you think Misty?" The boy looked disappointed that he couldn't leave the city the next day, and he made the one who should be taking care of them decide for them to be even later than they would be, he planned to go the next morning and pass to Pewter city the quickest as possible.

Misty nodded her head.

"Josh is right Ash, going inside of a forest without the right equipment, would be like asking fate to decide our journey, Josh always wanted to make his travel the most solid as possible. And preparing to pass through a forest with a map, a compass, and even directions? I wouldn't be surprised if we would take half of the days we should instead of going there on day one without resources." Misty thought about the points Josh has explained, if she got lost inside of the forest, without food, water, or something to make her prepared against pokemon, she would be terrified, especially if that forest has insect type pokemon… Thinking about it, if Ash had made them cross the forest and get them lost with insect pokemon, she would have killed him at some point. "I've been talking with Josh this morning. I have to say, he knows what he is doing. And I would be glad to follow his advice. Why not get sleep at Pokemon Center? We had an entire morning with so many problems. I think passing 5 days here would make us mentally prepared for the journey… Good night Ash."

After the water pokemon trainer give her thanks to the attendant, she went back to the pokemon center and prepare herself to sleep. It's been a long day, and she felt that a shower was the only thing she needed at the moment.

While the boy was left alone at the pizzeria, wondering about the words of his new companions… Making him sigh and accept that now he doesn't have any kind of way to object since the entire day has been a mess because of him and his Pikachu.

After a good shower, Josh finally felt how much he needed to be clean at that moment, walking for hours, and then battling against a low kind of gang for the first time. It was indeed a big day for him, his first day on the journey.

"Man, today was the best. Who knew screech would deal damage as well." Josh has been reflecting on how Onix using screech was overpowering in a way that nobody could have expected. "Man. I need to tell this Jack, maybe he is awake now. He will freak out when I tell him…oh…"

Josh was so excited to explain the new mechanics of pokemon skills, that he forgot one single detail… neither his cellphone and notebook couldn't connect to the internet and his cellphone didn't actually have the signal to call his friends…

"How many days has been?" Josh asked himself as he sighed and walked to his bed. Reflecting on how was difficult to enjoy his every day, living the dream of himself and his friends since their childhood. But now, the friends he had couldn't actually get in contact with him… "Do they think I'm dead?"

Josh took his cellphone from the charger and looked and the old photograph that he did with all poketubers and some who were his friends: Jaden (JadenAnimations), Tom (Moxxie2D), John (Alpharad), Yong, Jack (Purplecliff), Mikey (Mandjtv), John (pokemen7), Jan (Pokemon Challenges), Wolfe (WolfeyVGC), Tanner (SmallAnt) many others, and himself. All the group together as one them holding their own drawn version of themselves. It was a crazy pokemon event in the town, and everyone was happy to meet each other.

Josh smiled in melancholy as he went into one of his archives. And played one of his friend's videos and watched as he smiled.

"I know Mickey knows what operation Pudding is."
No, I don't, what operation pudding is?"

"Pudding these nuts into your mouth. HA GOT HIM"

"I can't believe I fallen for that, I should turn back my college degree."

Josh chuckled as he remembered that day when he watched his friends challenge each other to see who catch the strongest pokemon with one master ball challenge. Jack made Mickey regret living in that time since his face was so uncomfortable in pain, it was priceless to see Mickey falling into such an obvious trap.

"Man, it didn't pass 12 days, and I'm really missing these days." Josh sighed, as he looked at the window. A moonlight passed through the sky, as the silence was around the entire city. Josh let out a tear, as he thought about the life he had prior to where he was now. "Man… I just wish I could tell you guys that I'm fine… I hope you guys are taking care of my fandom… they were the best support I had… and they may need it right now. I miss you guys…"

Josh went to his bed, as he turned off his cellphone and closed his eyes to get one trip to the dreamland once again.

As the night passed through a peaceful environment after hours of chaos, Veridian finally was in peace. As the sunrise gave a sign of new hope for all the residents of the town. Making a new beginning for the trio who arrived the day before.

"Yawnnnnn." The boy wearing green pajamas yawned as he scratched his back he made sounds after sleeping like a rock. Looking at the Pokemon Center still trashed after the duo of criminals named Team Rocket destroyed some of the corridors and rooms, the boy gave a disappointing sigh, as he thought about everything that happened on the last day.

He wanted so much to be in the lead, but now he was stuck to being babysat by someone older than him, being chased by the ogre who beat him up the last day, and worse, he had to pay her up after he destroyed her bike by accident.

He remembered that everything happened just because he launched a rock on a Spearow.

"Stupid rock." If Ash knew that everything that happened was because of his stupidity of launching a rock, he may have captured another pokemon and maybe he wasn't stuck in Veridian for a few more days. "Well, at least I'm not going to be alone now."

Ash looked at the corner of his bed, as the little Pikachu was still recovering from the exciting day he had on the day prior, Ash decided to walk around the Pokemon Center to see if there was a movement around, but after seeing such roles around, maybe it was closed for a few days before coming back to business.

As he wandered around, he could have imagined many outcomes about what was going to happen. But he never could imagine seeing the girl Misty holding tightly a slime Pokemon as he recalled the name Ditto, and its trainer was holding what would be a big Pokedex in their direction.

"Okay. Here goes." The trainer said as the sound of click appeared from the big Pokedex, making the girl give a cheer smile, and the slime smile the same way. "Okay, perfect."

The trainer walked holding the big square in his hands until he moved the square in front of Misty and the pokemon.

"WOW, it was a perfect picture, I never see any camera being capable of such resolution and the picture will be saved inside of this equipment?" Misty gasped in surprise as her eyes sparkled in admiration after seeing such Pokedex capable of such a thing. "I loved everything about this picture, and I'm not full of myself but I have to confess that this is the perfect trait for me."

"As if." Ash rolled his eyes as he murmured quietly. Not wanting to rage against the beast once again, he already felt sore about all the attacks he suffered on the last day.

"Well it's one of the features, and maybe in the future, I can show you more about it. But now I have your picture, I can add some filters, add some sparkles and even give more effects around the camera. Here, check this out." Josh touched the big screen as he moved his finger in such a way that Ash couldn't see what he was doing, but with each movement, the girl behind him got more impressed.

"Wow, wait, what the… Oh, it's wonderful." The smile Misty couldn't be wider, as she watched Josh making the picture on the screen more beautiful with a cyan light and with some stars around them. "Awwww. It's perfect. And all of this came from the same hometown you were from?"

"Nah, it's from a friend of mine in Galar, he created these prototypes and managed to give them to our group of friends and me." Josh thought for a few seconds, before replying to her. Thinking about the lore of Mystery Dungeon, they actually never had the technology, so it would make strange if he says that he came from a place like that and have people curious about visiting an island that never existed in the first place.

"Well, it makes sense." Misty nodded her head as almost every time she tried to ask further, Josh avoided giving all the details, of the fact that they aren't known each other as much, so all the kinds of answer the trainer who came from far away was enough for her. But as soon as she looked around, she found the trainer who burned her bicycle as he was dressed in gree pajamas. "Oh, look who is awake."

Josh turned his head to the left and found Ash a bit confuse as trying to understand what they were talking about, but smiled at soon he found the trainer with his Pikachu on his side.

"Good morning. I'm glad you woke up. We planned to take a look around the city and then go to the market to ask for information and have some supplies with us before going to the forest." Josh smiled as he explained at young Ash, who still looked a bit grumpy as he couldn't be any faster to go at the journey.

"Yeah, whatever. I and Pikachu will eat something, Have any of you had to breakfast?" Ash carried his pokemon over his arms, as both Misty and Josh nodded their heads to him.

"We did. If you want there is a sandwich over the table, Josh paid for the groceries, since we are going to be at the store again, you can have some." Misty smiled as she could see the hungry stomach of both trainer and pokemon snitched them away. Leaving the young boy to blush.

"Okay, thanks." Ash without making any further embarrassing moments, decided to leave quickly, as making both Josh and Misty laugh happily as well it turns out.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch. Be careful, it still hurts." The tall and muscular man. He has long black hair, tied in a thick ponytail, which dangles down his back to his shoulder blades, and longish thick sideburns. He has small dark eyes with prominent eyebrows, a small nose, and a square jaw. He wears white trousers with a tattered waist and ankles that are held up by a black belt, shirtless and black wristbands on his wrists.

"Well, do you still want to be treated or not Bruno?" The woman wearing glasses asked as she used another lotion to help the burn marks around his body. "You are just lucky that Nurse Joy didn't go further after you got knocked out."

"That woman is crazy, I'm telling you, Lorelei. I just said I wanted to make a check-up with my pokemon, and when she got to see my Onix, she called all Chansey on the Poke Center, and all of them launched Eggbombs on me. WHY THAT CRAZY WOMAN WOULD DO THAT TO ME?" Bruno shouted frustrated as he didn't understand why. "She remained screaming it was me, it was me. I don't know what I did."

Lorelei raised her hand to tell him about what she has listened to yesterday until suddenly the door was open behind her.

"Oh, Lorelei, Bruno… Oh, I'm surprised that you are still alive." Lance, the leader of the elite 4 walked inside as he looked at the hurt trainer, who seemed frustrated.

"It's not funny Lance, that woman is crazy. She needs therapy." Bruno grumbled, as Lance chuckled from his reaction, he walked as he looked at the girl who wanted to say something, but looking at his mischievous face, she understood what he was saying…

To let Bruno discovers it by himself because it would be more entertaining to them if Bruno remains in the dark.

Lorelei gave an exasperated sigh, as she awaited the last member of elite 4 to appear.

And at that moment Agatha walked slowly from the door, as she glanced around at the trio who just kept looking at her. She looked sternly at all of them until she left a grin on her face.

"Oh Bruno, you are alive… I thought you have died from all the explosions yesterday." Agatha could see the annoying face Bruno was giving to her, as she smiled at the group. "Well, it seems that we are together. What do you want to discuss with us, Lance."

"Well, I receive a report from Veridian City, it seems a gang tried to steal the pokemon from Pokemon Center, and they create such devastation." Lance took some papers with him and gave them directly to the trio around him. "It seems that it was team Rocket once again. But gladly there were some new trainers who were at the Pokemon Center yesterday and dealt with the problems easily, without any further destruction… Just a few pieces of equipment destroyed and some shattered windows."

"Oh, do tell… I'm surprised that someone would have the guts to try to attack at the same place as Victory Road. Maybe they knew we are on Johto." Agatha deducted as she tapped her scepter on the floor, as she glanced at the group who seemed annoyed with someone who did that into the town they were protecting.

"Giovani wasn't supposed to be protecting the city as a gym leader of the place?" Lorelei asked as she checked the details over the destruction of the Pocket Center.

"From what I searched, it seems that he left Veridian a few weeks ago as he is doing another research for his company," Lance said as he still felt uncomfortable with an idea on his mind. "I don't know why, but Giovani seems more suspecting day after day. I don't know why, but he always kept away from his work. But at least when he finishes his research he comes back to Veridian and deals with all the poke trainers."

"Well, that's the minimum he should do," Bruno grumbled as he got up from his seat, and looked at them. "Well, I'm surprised at the group of kids who defeated team Rocket grunts. Do you have any names?"

"Well from the registers of Poket Center, there are 2 boys and one girl, the names are Ash, Joshua and Misty were the kids who seemed to be registered yesterday." Agatha after identifying the names on the papers, then raised her eyebrow as she identified one familiar name. "Misty… isn't that the girl who we heard from our Pokedex yesterday?"

Agatha's question made Lorelei's eyes go wide open, as Lance nodded his head to her.

"It seems so, identifying from the name, Josh seems a nickname for the boy named Joshua and this Ash… must be another kid… but from the story yesterday, maybe he was the one who stole the bicycle from her," Lance answered the question which made Bruno confused, but made Agatha has an evil grin on her face.

"Oh, do tell… I just hope these kids had given him a beat-up like they said they would." Agatha sighed in satisfaction while Bruno and Lorelei looked at her confused, not knowing really well about the conversation which was about.

"Who knows?" Lance shrugged as he took the papers and turned his back to them. "It seems that this year we will have new potential trainers to become the next Pokemon master."

"Yeah, since the last master wanted to retire himself, it becomes our job to judge and withness the next pokemon league. Are you sure that this year we will have great names?" Bruno asked as he cracked his neck side to side, curious as he didn't seem to enjoy not trying to just decide one of them to be the next Pokemon master over Kanto, but it seems that they will have to witness new talented trainers around.

"Well, before yesterday, I would have said I wasn't sure. But after what me and Agatha and possibly Lorelei have listened to yesterday, we found a boy who has experience from Galar walking around Veridian." Lance could see the smirking face of the eldest elite 4 members, as both Lorelei and Bruno started to stutter in shock.

"G..GALAR?" Both 2 members of elite 4 became surprised to see someone from so far away be in Kanto as most people who live overseas remain in that area and never trip around without making a major event over the countries.

"And he seemed to have some knowledge of bicycles that we never thought about it. From what he told, Galar developed an electric bicycle and now they are or they already developed a bicycle with could cross pounds with their floors on their wheels." Agatha always found it amusing to see how the brats advanced in technologies since most of her time she never thought that would have been possible, something simple like a bicycle would actually be a tool to cross rivers wasn't something she ever imagined heard about before.

"And before you ask. No, we are not taking a quick trip of 3 weeks to Galar just to buy their bicycles. Dragonite couldn't take the stress of flying for 1 entire week just to go to Galar, it was too far away. It would be best if we use 3 boats, so it would take longer." Lance already cut their thoughts, making Lorelei pout and Bruno huff away their thoughts. "We have a lot of work to do. Since Veridian is almost part of Victory Road, is our obligation to help the pocket center to fix the malfunctions after such vandalism."

"Okay, we got it. But we must find a way to deal with these maggots. They have been annoying by lurking around Kanto Lance, do you have an idea on how they are hiding under our noses?" Bruno was getting annoyed by the gang named Team Rocket as they went around the cities and captured pokemon, and something inside of him just makes him want to punch them in the face… And the explosion burns over his skin making his drive for their capture even more savage.

"Well. I'm still working on it. I don't know why, but they seemed to know who am I, and all the time I'm approaching them, they seemed to find a way to disguise themselves and leave the town. It's becoming repetitive." Lance sighed as he decided to give a glance over the door. "I just hope the new pokemon league will inspire us to become better trainers and show us how a champion takes dealing with pokemon against their opponents. I pray that this year the pokemon league will be peaceful and not a war zone because of gangs."

From an inner prayer… that's all the elite 4 wished for that year…
