So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13
According to the Bible, faith, hope and love are three of the most important things to have. They are necessary in our walk as a Christian.
Faith is knowing that something is true, even if we don't have proof. It's knowing something will happen before it happens. Abraham believed in faith for twenty-five years. Faith is belief.
Hope means to expect something. It goes hand-in-hand with faith. Once we hope for something, then we have to believe in faith that it will come to pass.
According to the ancient Greeks, there are four main types of love. Eros is physical love. Storge is affection, such as a mother's love to her children. Philos is brotherly love, which is basically what Jesus spoke of in Matthew 5:46; loving those who love you. And agape (agapay) is unconditional love. It is the type of love God has for us. It's the type of love that made Jesus die for us. Agape loves no matter what. It's a choice we make, not a feeling. We, as Christians, ar called to have agape love for everyone around us, because that's how God loved us.
Faith, hope, and love are all important in our life as a Christian, but love is most important. Without love, we would not be able to have a relationship with Christ. We would not be as alive as we are today.
I'm not sure if I'll be able to post the next few days as things are really busy for me. I'll try my best, but may not update until Monday.
Until then, thanks for reading and may God bless you!
