-Konohagakure-
" KAKASHI!" A chair went flying out a the hokage's window. The pink haired kunoichi was livid.
"Now. Now. Sakura, I thought Tsuande taught you control." Her old sensi squatted on top of his desk with a small smirk on his face. Holding his Ica Ica Paradise book in one hand not evening caring to glance up at the furious woman he had just dodge the chair that has now crashed into pieces multiple stories below. "Plus, this will be like a vacation. Suna is beautiful with all its...sand."
"YOU PROMISED A MEDICAL TEAM!"
"Well, you are the equivalent of a entire team as a jonin. One of the best medical ninja of all time. You surpassed even Tsuande. Suna's people have a lot it could learn from you. " Kakashi turned a page of his porn book and blushed still not making eye contact.
This made Sakura pause. The compliment stroked her desire for his approval which ran deeper than she had thought. Mentally cursing herself she dropped the second chair that she had blindly picked up out of rage.
With the thud of the chair Kakashi looked up from his book. "This is needed for both of villages. The people need to see this bond, they have already felt it this is just to reiterate it."
"What about Naruto?" Sakura felt as if she was betraying him. She just fought to save him from the Akatsuki. She didn't want to lose him. As much as he annoyed her, she couldn't live without that goofy smile that made you want to knock him on the head.
"Naruto will be safe. There is no need to worry. He has a lot of training if he wants to take my spot as Hokage."
"How long?" It was a huffed response.
Kakashi that response as acceptance for the mission. "Three months and you leave tonight."
Kakashi did not expect the second chair as it hurtled to his face. Barely missing the chair turned canon ball, "Someone could take that as attempt of murder on the Hokage."
"When I return, I'll show YOU murder." Sakura turned on her heel and headed for the door.
Kakashi watched her leave and sighed in frustration. All he had wanted to do is read his Ica Ica Paradise in his free time. Why was being Hokage so demanding?
Darkness had accessed over the the village as sakura walked to the village's front gate to meet the sand ninja that would escort her back to Suna. The best time to travel would be at night through the desert so the heat would not slow her and her accompanying member down. Approaching the gate she recognized the woman standing there as Gaara's sister, Temari. Sakura kept to the shadows as another figure stood in the dark next to the woman. Temari was locked in a hold. The shadows arms gripped tightly around her. Sakura tensed adrenaline rushing to every part of her body. Could it be another ninja attacking her? She reached for her belt that she had just stocked with kunia knives covering her chakura energy. Silently she creeped closer wanting the element of surprise to help her overwhelm the enemy if necessary.
Right as she was about to jump out of the darkness. A fragile moan ripped through the nights air. Sakura straightened in her stance and fell back further into the shadows confused. She concentrated her chakra on her eyes to get a better look at the "attacker".
It was Shikamaru! She should have recognized him sooner with his black hair throw into a lazy standardized pony tail. The genius was always around the village. This time it looks like he was definitely getting around to something. His hand slipped under Temari's shirt and the other cradling her neck as their lips continued to meet. They hungrily devoured each other as Shikamaru rocked his hips forward and Temari met his rhythm, picking her up she wrapped her legs tightly around his waist.
Before Sakura could turn the other way Shikamaru had ripped the side of Temari's skirt in desperation to get it up and thrusted her against the gate wall. More moans which echoed off the gate wall chased Sakura as she decided to backtrack as quickly as possible and to come back later.
The blush on Sakuras checks would not die down, she tapped her cheeks lightly trying to reassure herself it was an accident to run into an intimate moment like that. She walked into the brisk night trying to cool down. After what she just witness she could not help but feel the tingle of desire. Her stomach twisted and hot. It has been so long since she has had affection that she couldn't even recognize it. She thought it was an attack. How silly.
Sakura walked a little further until she came to the bench all those years ago that Sasuke had left her on in his search for power. Her stomach that was only moments ago hot turned to cold stone. A lump in her stomach. Gingerly touching the stone bench she felt a hot tear streak down her face. After all this time, after all these years it was still the same. She was still alone and still felt as useless as before. Biting her lip she wiped the lone tear away and turned around to make her way back to the meeting place that had now been christen by the couple.
Sakura was almost to the gate when she heard a familiar voice. "Sakura! Sakuuura!!!" Naruto sprinted at full speed at the leaving kunoichi.
He wrapped his arms from behind her in a tight hug smooshing everything in her pack. "Why didn't you say goodbye?" He whispered into her pink hair. His disappointment soaked every word. Naruto had found out about Sakura's mission after pressing Kakashi about the broken chair outside of the Hokage's window. Concerned about the Hokage safety Kakashi explained Sakura's outburst shocking Naruto into a race to catch her before she was headed off.
"Naruto, you make it hard to leave." Sakura spoke softly.
"I can just come with you! I know I can probably talk Kakashi into it! Give me an hour and I-" Sakura broke out of his embrace gently. She needed him to stay. She had become overly possessive of him on the last months following the war. In fear of another attack she would lay awake obsessing over if he was still alright. When you almost see a best friend die multiple times it takes a toll on you. Your brain starts to reply only the scenes that have shocked you the most and those are the ones that keep you awake at night. Just as she had done with Sasauke.
"No, I can do this. Take care of yourself and come visit me. I'm sure the Kazekage would be enthralled to have you join me in the future. " Sakura shocked herself with her reassuring tone as she barely touched his whiskered cheeks. She needed this "vacation" as Kakashi stated it. It would be more like mental therapy and a distraction. "You have lots of training to do to become Hokage." She gulped down everything else she wanted to say.
"It's a promise. I'll be there in a month!"
After multiple promises and goodbyes with Naruto Sakura made her way to the gate once more. Temari this time stood by herself. Nothing seemed out of place or any indication of what Sakura has just witnessed just an hour prior. The only thing different was a small tear in her skirt that she was unable to repair. Greeting Sakura with a slight nod.
"Ready for a three day trip to the land of sand?" Temari snickered.
"Are you ready to travel with ripped clothing?" Sakura returned her tone. Shocked Temari fiddled with the edge of her skirt where the rip was. Suspiciously looking at Sakura, her eyes prying to find out if she had seem anything. Both women stared at each other and agreed not to move forward with the conversation. They had a long trip ahead of them.
