Paw Patrol X: A Paw Patrol Christmas Part Two
Marshall and the others were currently making snowmen in the front yard of the lookout. Chase was making one with a police hat that he managed to find some blue flower tips to put on. Rocky and Zuma were making one right next to it with an orange and green scarf pattern, and Skye helped them put the last one on top. As for Marshall and Everest, the latter was currently waiting for the former as she got the first ball in their snowman finished. She hoped there wasn't something dangerous keeping him. "It's been at least two minutes. You guys don't think Charm found the lookout and got to Marshall, do you?"
Chase was about to respond with Marshall suddenly coming towards them as he called out to them. "Guys; look out!" Everyone else got out of the way with Marshall yelling from the snowball he was rolling in as he then crashed it into the other snowmen, causing them all to fly upward. Miraculously, all of the snowmen balls piled up into one big tower, and Marshall was at the bottom of eight snowballs on the world's biggest snowman. Chase helped him get out as the Dalmatian smiled. "I'm okay!"
Chase helped Marshall get out as he then commented on his wipeout with a sly grin. "You weren't kidding when you said you loved Winter, Marshall. A project like this, takes dedication."
Marshall laughed a bit before apologizing about rolling in like that as the others came over. "Yeah, sorry about the entrance. I wasn't trying to bowl you over." Despite the timing of his pun, Everest was the only one to start laughing with Chase giving a shrug as the others remained unimpressed. Marshall then giggled a bit as he gave some more, which with the exception of Everest, got on their nerves. "Cmon; I promise I'll try harder to spare you the wipeout next time. And you gutter believe I'll keep it. And if I don't, then-"
"Marshall, stop."
Upon the command of everyone but Everest, who was still laughing, Marshall sighed and admitted defeat. "Fine." And then he pulled out his device to add his puns to the counter. "But I'm still counting that as three puns total." Marshall pressed the button three times, and he was now up to eight of the twelve puns he needed to win his bet.
Flare, Snow, and Wildcat were waiting in some kind of questioning room as they thought about what the cop was gonna tell them. Flare had never been interrogated before, but he tried to remain optimistic as he spoke up about what the cop wanted. "He wouldn't be a cop if he was a racist, right? Maybe he'll be nice."
Wildcat liked that confidence with Snow unable to help rolling her eyes while smiling at Flare's endless optimism. "Here's hoping he's not one of the ones stuck in the litter box."
"You won't have to worry about that." Flare, Snow, and Wildcat looked to find a slightly obese, but friendly looking blue cat enter the room. Flare and Snow looked at each other with smiles upon seeing this, since blue was the color of compassion, and they also liked that he shared Chase's uniform colors. As the cat sat down, he spoke up about the reason Flare and Snow came to Foggybottom. "My name is Clyde, or officer Kingpin, whichever one you prefer. I see you came here to look for the parents of your friend."
"That's right!" Flare exclaimed happily, hoping that Clyde would be able to help them. "I know it may sound kind of weird since they were known criminals, but it'd mean the world to Zuma if he could see them."
Wildcat then chimed in, knowing that a cat's word would increase their chances. "And from what they told me, Zuma's parents tried to turn their life around and atone."
Clyde had already looked at the reports, and he felt that perhaps, he could lend a paw. "Celeste and Gabe Throne, correct?" Flare, Snow, and Wildcat nodded their heads yes, which made Clyde's job a lot easier. "I remember that case. It's sad what happened to Zuma. And to think it was my profession that caused it." Clyde got up and left the room, giving a reassuring look to the trio. "I'll take you to them while I tell my boss about the situation and see what I can do."
"Let's hope 'what you can do' is what we want." Snow replied jokingly, making Clyde laugh a bit as he took the three to where Celeste and Gabe were.
Back at the lookout, Ryder was playing some kind of video game on his Pup-Pad as he got a call from Richie. He paused his game and answered, having a feeling it was about his patrol. "Merry Christmas Richie. How's the patrol going?"
"Merry Christmas to you too Ryder." Richie responded, and then he showed Ryder what was going on and let him know how serious it was. "As for my patrol, there was a gas leak on the top floor at the veterinarian's office just now and it started a fire! I'll try to get as many people out as I can, but I think there might also be some people on the roof too!"
Ryder showed concern for everyone in the building, and he was quick to assure Richie that they'd be right there. "Don't worry Richie. No job is too big, no pup is too small!"
Katie then came on screen while holding Cali and told Ryder how grateful she was. "And that's why you're the best." Katie rubbed Cali's head and made her smile with Ryder getting on the case.
Zuma was showing off his new goldfish to the others, hoping they would like Doubloon as much as he and Rocky did. The others were certainly taking a liking to him so far, and Zuma was more than happy with his name. "Doubloon alweady captures the feeling of a piwate pewfectly. I can totally see him being a backup for pawwots."
Just then, Ryder called the Paw Patrol with all of their pup tags ringing as he spoke up. "Paw Patrol, to the Lookout!"
"Ryder needs us!"
The Paw Patrol then made their way to the elevator, and as they got there, Marshall bumped into a paint can he forgot to put away. "Whoa!" Marshall ended up rolling into the elevator, and he was covered in paint when the others caught up to him. "I'm okay!" He then got up and laughed it off and resorted to another infamous pun. "I'll admit though; my current look could paint a different picture."
"Marshall!"
The other pups started laughing as Marshall pressed the button on his device, leaving him at a total of nine puns. As the elevator rose, Chase and Everest helped wipe the paint off of Marshall before they began putting their suits on. As they progressed up the elevator, they changed into their suits and jumped out as soon as the elevator door opened. Once they jumped out, going in order from Chase, to Rocky, to Skye, to Zuma, to Marshall, and then Everest, Chase made the callout for the team. "Paw Patrol; ready for action Ryder sir!" Chase and the others then noticed that Flare and Snow weren't there. "Most of us anyway."
"Snow said she was busy doing something with Flare." Everest explained, hoping Snow wouldn't get in trouble. "Something about a surprise for Zuma. (Zuma gave an intrigued look) She didn't say what it was, but I doubt she was ignoring her duties on purpose."
Ryder took note of that and pressed a button on his Pup-Pad, which revealed what was going on to the team. "Either way, thanks for coming pups. A gas leak hit the local Veterinarian clinic, and a fire started not long before Richie called to inform me about it."
Chase took the time to comment on this while looking at Marshall when he did. "Get ready to feel nostalgic Marshall. We've all felt that when reliving our first type of rescue mission."
"I can see that." Marshall admitted, being more prepared than he was the first time, no question. "At least I'll be fully prepared this time."
"I like the sound of that." Ryder spoke up confidently, pressing the button on his Pup-Pad that led to Marshall being his first pick. "Cause I'm gonna need you to help get the people out of the top floor. That's where the fire started, and we'll also need you to put it out."
"I'm fired up!" Marshall called out, being far more confident for this mission than last time.
Ryder then called for Chase, knowing he would also be of great help. "Chase! I'll need you to keep people from getting close to the fire, and also get your landing pad ready."
Chase, as always, was as confident as he'd ever be. "Chase is on the case!"
Ryder then made his third call, which was revealed to be Skye. "Skye! Marshall will have to focus on putting the fire out once he gets into the building. We'll need your help getting people out of there."
Skye barked in response, and then made her callout. "Let's take to the (Does a backflip) sky!"
"The rest of you, stand by in case I need you for something later on." The other pups nodded and barked in response with Ryder and the others being ready to move out. "Alright! Paw Patrol, is on a roll!"
The called out pups then went for the slide as Ryder went down the pole and went down in their own ways. Marshall tripped and started going down the slide on his back, Chase went down confident while moving his head fur back, and Skye yipping as she ran over to slide, as well as doing a backflip right before she started going down. The three then went into their respective vehicles; Marshall's fire truck, Chase's police car, and Rocky's recycling truck. Once they were ready, the three followed Ryder, who started leading them to the trouble at the veterinarian clinic.
Flare, Snow, and Wildcat were currently following Cylde to Celeste and Gabe's cell with Snow feeling bad about what she just did. "Guess there's a first time for everything. I just hope it wasn't anything life threatening."
"Ryder will understand." Flare assured Snow, knowing that Ryder wouldn't take this personally. "I've known him long enough to know. We just have to explain what happened when we get back."
Clyde brought the three to Celeste and Gabe's cell as he finished talking to his boss. "Yes Chief. I'll be there in a bit." Clyde hung up as he then told Flare, Snow, and Wildcat what he had to do. "You can say hi if you want. I gotta talk to the Chief about your request face to face. (Looks into the cell) Celeste! Gabe! You have visitors!"
Clyde walked off with Flare, Snow, and Wildcat looking into the cell as two adult Chocolate Labradors looked at them in surprise. Flare smiled happily and waved to them, hoping the two were as friendly as Zuma said. "Hi!"
Celeste and Gabe walked up to the cell in confusion. They didn't expect any kids to be visiting them. Gabe chuckled softly as he commented on that. "One week after being transferred from Thief Cell Island and we've got ourselves a couple of surprise visitors! Didn't think any kids still knew of our existence."
Celeste then came to realization about what this meant and gained a look of joy as she spoke up. "That must mean you know our son! Is Zuma okay?"
Flare and Snow looked at each other with confident smiles with Flare being the one to start talking, glad to know they found the right canines. "Yeah, Zuma's doing great! From what he and the others told me, he's been living with the Paw Patrol for two and a half years now."
Celeste and Gabe were ecstatic to hear that with Snow then bringing up the other side of the coin. "We'd rather not bring up the other three and a half years though. That's something Zuma should tell you himself."
Celeste and Gabe felt that was reasonable as Flare brought up something he felt they'd like to hear. "We overheard Zuma say he doesn't like Christmas, and we felt that maybe he'd be more comfortable around this time if he could see you guys again. Hopefully Clyde can convince his boss to let you guys out of here."
"I can only hope so." Celeste admitted, unsure if things were going to go in his and Celeste's favor. "Ever since we got locked up, all we could think about is reuniting with Zuma again." Celeste then remembered something about when she and Gabe were taken away from Zuma. "Does Zuma still have his guitar? We gave it to him for his fourth birthday."
Flare was more than happy to answer that as he gave a thumbs up in response. "He plays it at least four times a week!"
Celeste and Gabe were glad to hear that Zuma's love for music lived on. Even with all that happened in the past six years, his passion never died. Gabe was quick to comment on that as he wrapped his arm around Celeste lovingly. "Of course, we'd expect nothing less from your musical aura."
Celeste gently nuzzled Gabe as Wildcat spoke up about how easy this was. "I don't wanna jinx this, but your friend might've gotten his big break." Flare and Snow did their signature hi five, glad to see that this was all going according to plan.
Marshall and the others had already made their way to the veterinarian's office, and he was as ready as ever along with Chase, Skye, and Ryder. Chase had already put down his landing pad with Skye ready to help the people out the best she could as Ryder waited down below so he and Richie could check for injuries. Marshall was making his way up his ladder when Ryder signaled him to go in, and as he climbed up, he could feel his anxiety rising. Thankfully, this time, he was able to breathe calmly and rise up the ladder calmly. He just remembered what Chase told him.
Never, ever give up.
He then remembered something that was told to him frequently that caught Chase's attention as he said it. "Do your best, and forget the rest!" Marshall rushed up the ladder with Chase watching as he jumped in and barked for his water cannon. "Water cannon!" Marshall then started putting out the fire, which was in the room he climbed into. It wasn't too big for him to move around in, and he made sure to cover as much of it as he can. Of course, what happened next did kind of help.
Marshall ended up slipping on some of his own hose water as he moved around, and he accidentally sprayed some of the people in the room. He also put out the rest of the fire however, since he landed on his pup pack and it spun him around on the ground. He barked to put his water cannon away when this ended, and he coudln't help himself after he barked to put his cannon away, starting up his pup tag and signalling Chase and Skye. "Looks like I was on fire this time."
Chase and Skye rolled their eyes while smiling as Marshall spoke up. After pressing the button for his tenth pun of course. "Skye will help you get down! You can also go down my ladder if you want! There's also Chase's landing pad!"
Marshall made his way to the ladder and started to go down, only to slip as soon as he touched the first step. This led to him falling down the ladder and hitting his butt on every step, making him laugh a bit as he rose up and rubbed his butt after falling onto his seat. "I'm okay!"
Chase ran over to Marshall as soon as he hopped out of his truck, being glad to see how far he's come from when he first joined the team. "You did it Marshall! I knew you had it in you!" Chase and Marshall did their signature handshake as they stood on two paws with Marshall's scarred paw being shown as they did. Marshall was beyond proud of himself. He went from almost blacking out and needing Flare to back him up, to successfully putting out a fire himself with little to no trouble. Chase did have a question for him though. "By the way, what was that thing you said when climbing your ladder?"
"It's something my mom always told me, Flare, and Margareth regarding our dreams in life." Marshall informed Chase, smiling as he thought fondly about how much his mother has done for him and his siblings. "Do your best and forget the rest. As soon as I said I wanted to be a hero like dad, that was the first thing she said to me."
Chase had to admit that he was a little envious of the fact that Marshall had a family like that. He was still more happy for him than envious however. And he made that clear as he spoke up. "That's a clear sign that you made the right call when coming here Marshall. I just know you mom can see your dad in you." Marshall beamed when he heard those words. He hoped that one day, he could be the spitting image of his father. Whether or not he would be would be proven in due time.
Flare, Snow, and Wildcat were waiting by Celeste and Gabe's cell as Clyde returned with the chief as Flare told Celeste and Gabe about something Zuma did. "And then he set his butt on fire, and we just couldn't help laughing at it."
Celeste and Gabe laughed at the childish antics of their son as the chief then coughed to get their attention. The chief was a Korat cat, and he was shown to be considerate towards Flare and Snow's wishes. "You two must be Flare and Snow. Clyde informed be about your intentions."
"So you're gonna let Celeste and Gabe out!?" Flare asked, and the Korat cat nodded his head no remorsefully, which led to Flare's face dropping.
Snow then spoke up, unable to understand why Zuma's parents couldn't be let out. "But Celeste and Gabe atoned for their crimes, right? At least before they were taken."
Wildcat then put his own two cents on the table to back Flare and Snow up, while also finding their predicament to be disgusting. "With all due respect Chief Steel, keeping Celeste and Gabe locked up for atoned crimes is wrong!"
"Believe me Wildcat. If I could help your friends, I would." Steel assured Wildcat, and then he explained the situation to the three of them. "It's our Mayor. He doesn't like dogs, and he requested that Celeste and Gabe be locked up here for as long as possible. My orders were specifically to keep them locked up." Wildcat started to feel bad for Flare and Snow, with Snow being annoyed by this and Flare showing concern. "I'm sorry. I can't help you."
Chief Steel went to leave with Clyde speaking up in an attempt to persuade him. "Perhaps if we could convince Mayor Humdinger that-"
"What if it was for their son!?" Flare blurted out, determined to help Zuma meet his parents again. This caught Chief Steel's attention, and Flare walked up to him as he told him about what Zuma went through. "Zuma Thorne. A ten year old Chocolate Labrador who the police took his parents from, which I can only assume was around Christmas. Celeste and Gabe are those parents." Chief Steel started to feel bad as Flare then gave him the details to let him know what the stakes were. "He spent at least a year in an orphanage that ignored a bully who called him 'retarded' for his speech impediment."
Celeste and Gabe started to become horrified at what their son went through with Snow then going into more detail as she stood beside Flare. "He escaped at age five, and spent almost two years with a gang he tried to survive with, only to get kicked out right before his seventh birthday. Then he spends half a month on the run, failing to find a home, until he finally arrives in Adventure Bay. All of this happened, because some corrupt officers in Zuma's birth town wanted to create their own justice!"
Wildcat smiled at the sight of Flare and Snow standing up for their friend as Flare finished what he had to say. "Listen dude. We know your duties are important to you. Our friend Chase feels the same way. But he also showed undying loyalty to my brother when he joined the Paw Patrol, and I can sense that kind of vibe deep down within you too." Chief Steel looked at Flare directly as he showed his compassion as the puppy finished what he had to say. "And if you let his parents out, then Zuma might finally be able to believe in miracles again."
Chief Steel contemplated the outcomes of both scenarios, and then he considered what Flare and Snow had to say. He saw that the two were being genuine about this, and that Zuma did mean a lot to them. He then decided after breathing in through his nose, and out from his mouth, that Zuma had to be worth it. He unlocked the cell after walking over to it, and Celeste thanked him as they left with grateful smiles. "Thank you so much Chief Steel!"
"You can thank me by giving your son the best Christmas present a kid can ask for." Chief Steel replied as he tipped his hat off to Flare and Snow, who smiled and nodded to each other as they left the station with Wildcat, Celeste, and Gabe.
Flare and the others made their way to the entrance of Foggybottom and stopped so they could say goodbye to Wildcat. Flare and Snow were grateful for the help, and as they hopped out of Everest's snowmobile, they made it clear with Flare speaking first. "Thanks for your help Wildcat. I know we did most of the work, but with how this place is, if you hadn't come to help us, it probably would've gotten ugly."
"Hehe, yeah. Glad I could help!" Wildcat responded, hoping to see Flare and Snow again one day. "Maybe someday I can visit the Paw Patrol in Adventure Bay. It'd be a dream of mine to meet Marshall Munroe himself."
"A good dream to have if you ask me." Flare replied, making Wildcat glad to see that his desire to meet Marshall was validated.
Snow then chimed in, knowing that Zuma's show was gonna start in a couple hours. "We've got a couple hours before Zuma's performance. Where are we gonna hide Celeste and Gabe until then?"
Flare tried to think about a good hiding spot, and he came up with one that he felt just might work. "I've got something! Let's head back to the Lookout!" Snow had to admit that she was confused, hopping back into Everest's snowmobile as she thought about how the Lookout was the last place they'd wanna hide something from a Paw Patrol member at. "Bye Wildcat! Thanks again!"
"Not a problem Flare! You and Snow have a good Christmas!" Flare and Snow took off as they waved goodbye to Wildcat, who waved goodbye as well. His smile made it clear that he was glad he could spread some Christmas cheer. And yes; that rhyme was intentional.
Zuma was just finishing up his song with Rocky listening in the Lookout living room, and it seemed to have a bit of a fast pace to it as he finished it up. He was still a little nervous about it though, so he asked Rocky for his opinion. "So what do you think?"
Rocky tried to convey his thoughts on the song, feeling that it could work if given the right direction. "I can definitely see the uniqueness of the song. And with the right pup singing it, the potential could really spark."
Flare and Snow looked through the lookout door and saw Rocky and Zuma talking, just as Celeste and Gabe were shown to be in robot disguises. As they looked in, Celeste got excited when she saw that Zuma kept his guitar. "He still has the guitar!"
"He does, but you'll have to wait until after his show to talk to him about it." Flare informed Celeste, still wanting this to be a surprise. "If we wanna surprise Zuma, then you have to hide in my room before he finds out. Don't worry; the only other person who goes in there frequently is my brother Marshall, and he's busy I think."
Celeste and Gabe took note of that and went into the Lookout with Flare and Snow, making sure to stay quiet as Rocky and Zuma noticed with the latter addressing them. "Oh, hi Flawe; hi Snow. Back fwom your little adventuwe?"
Flare and Snow nodded their heads yes with Snow then explaining what the two things in disguise were. "Don't mind our souvenirs from the adventure either. Just some robots we found and decided to take home. Thankfully there was a sale that could help us get them cheap."
"Yep! We're just gonna take them to my room until we have a way to use them." Flare added, and then he and Snow took the 'robots' to his room, with Zuma shrugging as he and Rocky got back to their discussion about his song for the show.
Flare and Snow arrived in Flare and Marshall's room, glad to find that Marshall wasn't in there as Flare directed Celeste and Gabe to under Marshall's bunk. "You can hide under Marshall's bunk. That should leave you out of sight long enough to surprise Zuma at his performance."
"Haha. I don't remember the last time Zuma tried that trick." Gabe admitted, having missed his son a lot longer than he could've originally thought.
"Still, just imagine how exciting it'll be when we see our son again." Celeste was starting to get super giddy about seeing Zuma again "And to see him on stage for the first time in our lives is going to make it even more of a spectacle to watch!", only for...
PFFFFFFFFFFT
...Celeste to release a loud and bassy five second fart, one that caused a green cloud of gruel to enter Flare Marshall's room. Gabe started laughing while wafting the fart away with Flare and Snow covering their noses as Celeste sheepishly wafted her fart away and apologized. "Sorry about that."
"If it helps, mine can be way worse." Flare responded with a smile in an attempt to cheer Celeste up.
"Gee; I never noticed." Snow chimed in sarcastically. It was clear that by this point, she was familiar with Flare's farts.
Chase and Skye were at the festival together again, and the two were currently watching Marshall and Everest chat it up. The two hoped that they would get together one day, as they would make such a cute couple. Skye then expressed the fact that she couldn't hear them from the distance they were at. "I only wish we could make out what they were saying."
"I think I have an idea or two." Skye looked at her slyly grinning boyfriend, who then started jokingly acting out what could be what the two were saying. "Ten puns down, two to go Everest. Then you'll have to be the one to let Chase fart on you the next time his hot butt gets explosive gas."
Skye couldn't help but laugh at what Chase was saying, deciding to join in herself and play as Everest. "But Marshall; he's YOUR best friend. It's only fair that you intentionally lose the bet so you can be the one to get farted on, and then I can kiss your stinky mouth." Chase and Skye continued laughing with Marshall and Everest wondering what that was all about. The two noticed and started whistling casually to hide the fact that they were teasing them.
Marshall and Everest shrugged before going back to what they were actually talking about with Everest speaking up. "So you really think Snow will like it Marshall? My memory became a little fuzzy on some of her hobbies at least a year into my time living in Charm's Prison City base."
"I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it Everest!" Marshall said happily, and then he let Everest in on a little secret about himself. "Also, I fart when I lie, so it'd be a real gas if I didn't." Everest laughed at the pun with Marshall pressing the button on his device, which tallied his pun count for the day up to eleven.
The night was young in Adventure Bay, and everyone in town was getting ready to watch Zuma perform his new song on stage. While this was going on, Flare and Snow were sneaking into the crowd with Celeste and Gabe, making sure the two of them were disguised as they brought them into the crowd. Once they got into the crowd, Celeste and Gabe saw the stage that Zuma was performing on. Celeste couldn't help but squee at the sight of this, and Gabe made sure to calm her down. They didn't need another excitement fart to blow their cover for the surprise.
Chase and Skye were also in the crowd, and the two of them were sitting next to each other lovingly with their tails wrapped around each other. As the two of them embraced one another, they looked at the stage and thought about how far Zuma had come since he arrived in Adventure Bay. They both saw him as their little brother, and that led to them being even prouder for him. The two also shared a kiss to fill themselves with each other's love before the performance began.
Marshall and Everest were also in the crowd, and the two of them were talking about their bet with Everest speaking up. "You still have one more pun to make Marshall. Let's hope you can find something fitting to make it with soon enough to win the bet."
"Oh I will." Marshall assured Everest confidently, and then he taunted Everest about what would happen when she lost. "And the next time Chase gets bloated with gas, you're gonna be smelling it that entire night!" Just then, Flare and Snow came over to Marshall and Everest with both of them noticing the disguised Celeste and Gabe. Marshall was quick to wonder if Flare and Snow were safe around them. "Um..."
"I know them." Flare assured Marshall and Everest, who were unsure of what to think about the situation. At least Flare looked as happy as he normally did. And struggling to contain his excitement, as usual.
Zuma was behind the curtain as he finished one last reread of his song lyrics in the hopes that it would go well. It was far from your traditional Christmas song, despite it not being outright punk rock, and he wasn't sure if it would go well with a town as friendly as Adventure Bay. Rocky was also behind the stage, and when he saw him, he told him how much better the show would be in the audience. "You should head to your fwont row seat Wocky. It'll look bettew fwom there."
"I know. I just saw you looking worried and thought I'd help you feel better before the show." Rocky informed Zuma, and he put a paw on Zuma's shoulder as he reminded him of how talented he was. "Your talent alone is gonna make this song work Zuma. We've gone over it a bunch of times, and I haven't found any reason Adventure Bay would dislike it that makes sense." Rocky was certain that the town would like Zuma's song, and Zuma could tell that he was being genuine. "I'm no musician myself, but I hope my word at least counts for something."
Zuma was always glad to hear Rocky's words of encouragement. Those moments always seemed to make him feel more confident about himself. "You pwomise?"
Rocky laughed a bit, knowing that he wasn't gonna get out of this one. "If they hate it, you can fart on my pillow for the next week." Zuma laughed a bit upon hearing that offer, and Rocky then started making his way to his seat. "Anyway, I'm gonna head to my seat now. Break a leg Zuma."
"You got it Wocky dude." Zuma responded, and as Rocky hopped off the stage and over to his seat, which was next to Richie, and two seats away from Ryder, he smiled at how many people showed up. He did have one issue with the timing of his performance though. 'It's times like this I wish I liked Chwistmas more."
Zuma started to make absolutely sure he was ready behind the stage as Gabe and Celeste saw how many people were in Adventure Bay. They were both impressed by how populated a suburban seaside town could get, and Gabe was quick to point it out as he was observing. "I'm still not against living the tropical island life, but I can definitely see us settling down in a place like this."
Celeste then came up with an idea for how she and Gabe could spend their freetime. "Well I think Zuma would be okay with keeping in touch remotely, since he's made himself at home here. Maybe we could travel to find out where we wanna live after so long!" Gabe did like the sound of that, even though he was more reserved than his wife. Zuma then came out on stage with Celeste starting to get giddy when she saw him with his guitar. "There he is honey; he's using the same guitar!"
"Yeah, I see it sweetie. Try not to blow our cover, please." Gabe reminded Celeste, who calmed herself so she and Gabe could still give their son his Christmas surprise.
Zuma cleared his throat as he spoke to the people of Adventure Bay, hoping that Rocky was right about his song being good. "Hello evewyone in Adventuwe Bay! Thank you for coming to my Chwistmas pewformance! It means a lot!" Everyone started cheering with Zuma being glad to find everyone so excited for his show. "Just a faiw wawning that this isn't your twaditional Chwistmas song. It's... pwetty blunt, and some would awgue cynical." The crowd started to become intrigued as Zuma gave a sheepish grin. "Just wanted to let you know befowehand."
Celeste and Gabe held each other's paws as Zuma gave his final message before he was ready to start his song. "Sowwy if this sucks!" Zuma breathed in through his nose and out with his mouth as he held his guitar tightly, making sure to hold his pick the best he could. As he looked at the crowd and thought about how much he loved it in Adventure Bay, he was ready to give them a performance to remember. He just hoped it didn't kill the Christmas spirit.
