Chapter 1: Achtung Baby

The Speedwagon foundation headquarters, Washington DC. Midnight.

An elevator slowly travels down deep under the building, to the heavily secured bottom floors. As the elevator opens at the last floor, two hundred meters underground, a tall figure steps out of the elevator. Lying behind him is the lifeless body of a security guard.

This figure avoids the cameras and security lasers effortlessly, and eventually reaches a giant vault. The creature scoffs, raises its arm, and in a flash a gash appears in the vault. Pools of molten iron have formed on the floor.

The creature steps into the room behind the vault, where a small golden shard lays behind a panel of glass.

The robber pushed Grace up against the wall and put his knife against her throat. In a dark, threatening voice he muttered "Give me your money and your phone now, you little bitch!"

Grace stuttered through her tears "I-i dont have my phone on me right now!"

The robber snarled back "Well then, how about you give me one of your parents' numbers, so we can see what they will pay for your life!"

The robber felt someone knock him on the shoulder. He turned and stared down on a young girl, about college age, looking up on him.

She was dressed in sunglasses and a pink hoodie, and she seemed very relaxed about the situation. She was twirling a cigarette through her fingers.

"Excuse me, but could you let that girl go? I have been meaning to rob her myself and it would be unfair of you to take all the loot."

The robber was extremely confused about what to do with the situation, so he turned the knife from Grace to this girl.

"Didn't your mother tell you not to point at strangers?"
The robber was extremely stressed out so in a fit of rage he thrusted the knife towards the girl.

Instead of implanting itself in her shoulder, the knife went straight through the girl as if she wasn't there, as if she was an illusion.

The robber screamed out of surprise and fear.

Suddenly he felt something being pushed up his nose. It burned and he had trouble breathing. He grabbed his nose and felt something stuck inside it. He pulled and the girl's cigarette came out.

As he was distracted Grace took this moment to escape from the alley and run as far away as she could. Shizuka Joestar walked down the street with a satisfied smile on her lips before remembering something, and stopping quickly to look at her phone.

She went through her new messages, and found one by her mom. It was a restaurant and it was a time, 18:30. Shizuka remembered that they had decided to have dinner together that day and she had to be there in forty five minutes. Quickly she called for a cab and set off.

After being delayed by a traffic jam she finally made it.

As she was walking to the restaurant entrance, a pretty large dog appeared out of a nearby alleyway. It had red, sick eyes and froth flowing out of its jaw. It pretty clearly had rabies.

The dog lunged towards Shizuka. Without a second thought Achtung kicked the dog in the face. It winced and ran back into the alley.

She sent out Achtung Baby to grab some flowers from a nearby balcony, and entered the restaurant.

Too late she realized that maybe she wasn't supposed to show up in a dirty hoodie to a fine restaurant like this, but she just ignored the looks and went over to her mom's table.

"Shizu! How's my little girl?" Suzie nearly yelled out.

Shizuka gave her a nervous smile. "Oh, I'm fine, I'm fine! Look, there is something I've been meaning to talk to you about."

Suzie smiled even wider. "Please tell me!"

Shizuka lowered her voice. "What did Dad do up in Washington? He just left a note on his table and I haven't been able to reach him!"

Suzie visibly tensed up. "Well, as I understand the situation, there has been an incident up at the Foundations headquarters, and your dad had to make his way up there immediately. It…"

She looked around the restaurant, as if to make sure no one was listening in. "It may have something to do with the Pillar men."

Shizuka knew Joseph's adventure inside and out, having heard them as bedtime stories. She had always been jealous of her father, the same way a child is jealous of a wizard or a knight. The thought of meeting a vampire was actually quite exciting to her.

Suzie went back to a normal tone of voice. "But it probably isn't anything. Your father has gotten worried about the smallest things ever since he got back from Egypt."

Shizuka nodded in agreement.

The waiter brought both of them glasses of water. Shizuka took the glass straight from the tray and started slowly bringing it to her mouth. As she had it in her line of sight for a second she noticed something at the bottom of the glass.

A small red circle, barely visible through the transparent water. Shizuka quickly put the glass down on the table. As she did the red shape floated up through the glass and looked up over the edge. It looked like a little creature with small eyes and limbs.

Shizuka recognized this type of creature. "Do you see that?" Shizuka asked her mother while pointing at the glass.

"What?" she answered.

That was all Shizuka needed to hear. Achtung Baby grabbed the little thing and threw it. But unfortunately it landed on her mom. Suzie gasped and grabbed her arm. "It-it burns. My arm is burning!" She was sweating bullets and looked down at her arm with sheer fear in her eyes. She started screaming a hellish scream.

Achtung reached out and pulled off the red thing. This time, it punched through the restaurant's glass window and dropped the red thing on the sidewalk. Shizuka stood up so quickly the table nearly fell to the side. She said "Mom, give me a minute." and turned invisible.

The stand seemed to be a long range colony, judging from its size, so the user would probably send more, so it was a matter of figuring out where the user was and where the stands were coming from.

They would probably send more stands to find her now that she was invisible, so it was best to just let them come to her.

A waiter passed by carrying a brick of champagne, of course without noticing her.

Through the corner of her eye Shizuka saw the red little stands hiding between the glasses. They jumped off the brick towards her shoulder. Driven by pure instinct, Acthung Baby leaped out, grabbed a bowl of soup from a neighboring table, and threw it towards the stands. They were caught by the avalanche of tomato soup and were thrown to the ground, creating a huge orange stain on the carpet.

Shizuka was shocked, but quickly got a hold of herself and started calculating. How did the enemy know where she was, to the point where they could aim for her with the waiter? Something she was doing was giving away her location. She looked down at the stain on the carpet, and realized it! When she stood on the soft carpet, you could see the outline of her feet.

Using Achtung Baby she turned the floor around her invisible, and waited a few seconds. No attacks. She had been right! Now, the user must have had a direct line of sight to her feet, so they were probably sitting at one of the tables close to her.

Suddenly, a man stood up at the table just behind Suize. He raised his closed hand, and with a violent movement scattered maybe fifteen of the small towards them. Most of them landed on the floor, but a few landed on Shizuka.

She felt a ringing sound in her ear, a burning all over her face, and the feeling of blood pouring out of her hand. She emptied the glasses of water over her head and slammed her hand towards the table until they were all off.

The man who had thrown the stands escaped into the kitchen.

She was just about to leave when Suzie said "Wait!" Shizuka turned to see her mom, holding out a can of pepper spray. "Be careful." Shizuka smiled and grabbed the can with her invisible hand, before chasing after him.

Shizuka slammed the door open to the kitchen and swept her sight over the room. Just as she entered the door to the back alley was slammed shut. She started walking as fast as possible in the cramped kitchen towards the door.

As she was leaving she accidentally bumped into a bucket of water that a cleaner had left on the floor. As the water flew out a lump of the enemy stand flowed with it, spreading out all over the floor. Shizuka realized she had been lured in a trap. The stressy and narrow environment of a kitchen would be perfect for a trap.

The small army started running towards her. She turned on her heel and started to run as fast as she could. She bumped and pushed herself through the kitchen, ruining many meals in the process. But the small army with their nimble bodies were constantly at her heels. The pressure was rising and she was panicking. Everything was a haze and her heartbeat sounded like gunfire.

She then remembered something her father had said. "In order to beat a stronger opponent, you need to use your cunning and strategy to close the gap between you and them." Well, he had phrased it like "Kick them in the balls."

She kicked the door open to escape the kitchen and gain more space.

Then she stopped in her tracks. The stands crashed into her heels, eager to attack. She then summoned her stand in full. Acthung Baby was one meter tall, thin and sported pink sunglasses and a pink sash. Its entire body was covered in black and white binding.

"Achtung Baby: What I'm Looking For"

A perfect illusion of her appeared where she was standing. Then, she prepared herself and jumped over the enemy stands. While they were busy with her illusion she ran full speed through the kitchen out the back door.

As she did she felt an indescribable pain spread through her body. She felt as if she couldn't breath, black dots danced before her eyes and as if her entire body was freezing cold.

The man she had been following appeared before her, holding a syringe with transparent content. "What you are feeling right now is the pain of someone who was just saved from drowning. I do not want to kill you, all I want is to get you to sleep, okay? I'm a doctor, I won't hurt you."

He spoke in a soft, but cold voice. His movements were quick and clean. Shizuka smiled, even though every muscle in her body felt like it was about to burst.

"So, ev-ven f-fancy do-doctors play d-dirty somet-times?" The man didn't respond, just continued to slowly bring the syringe closer and closer. Shizuka steeled herself. With a flash of movement she pulled the can of pepper spray out of her hoodie and blasted the man in the face. When the spray hit him in the face he didn't react, but one of his stands jumped out of his skin.

"My stand absorbs all pain, so the spray isn't going to have any effect on me. Please just let this end peacefully."

"Well, it-t was a long-g shot-t your-r next-t line i-is `What-t's that sound-d?´"

A deep growling echoed through the alley. Shizuka had turned the rabies dog invisible as one last gamble. The man figured out what was going on. He kicked some trash off the ground. A lone banana peel landed on the dog, allowing him to locate it. Quickly he grabbed one of his stands out of his pocket and threw it. As it landed the dog winced and tried to scratch it off.

But when the man did that he accidentally dropped the syringe. Shizuka managed to grab it before it hit the ground and without hesitation, she plunged it into his legs. He looked down with shock, before falling unconscious to the ground. The pain disappeared, and the dog once again tried attacking her, but got yet another discouraging punch in the face.

Shizuka rose up to look down on the unconscious man who was laying in a small pyramid of trash bags, and with a cold stare she defiantly pointed two fingers at him.

"Jesus, let me have dinner with my mom."

Thus begins the story of Shizukas fight against her fathers legacy.
