Eda looked at Luz, clearly seeing the worry in her. Eda kneeled down and looked at Luz.
"Hey, don't worry, you're brave, strong, and, if I'm being honest, I think Grom should be afraid of you instead."
"Yeah, thanks, Eda." Luz said, "I... I'm going to go for a walk."
Luz walked away from them, Eda looking upset at how nervous Luz was. Eda looked in the mirror, trying to understand how to help Luz.
"Hey, are you okay?" King asked.
"Not really, Luz will be having a hard time with this, Grom is dangerous and I don't want her to get hurt."
"Awe, look at you act all motherly." King said.
Eda picked him up by the scruff of his neck and dropped him on the floor. Outside, Luz was walking in the woods trying to clear her head. She doesn't know why this is so hard for her, it shouldn't be that bad, she's already fought more dangerous things then some simple monster.
"Maybe it's because of what Willow and Amity told me?"
Earlier, at the School, Willow and Amity were showing Luz Grometheus.
"That's what I have to fight? It doesn't look that bad."
"Looks can be deceiving." Willow said, "Grom is the most dangerous creature on the Boiling Isles."
"What?"
"It's the reason no one ever looks forward to being the Grom Royalty. Grom is capable of shapeshifting into your worst fear, if you fail to beat Grom, the entire Isles will have to battle their worst fear." Amity said.
Luz swallowed a lump that formed in her throat. She doesn't know if she can face her fear, she wasn't able to face it before, and she definitely couldn't face it now.
"I'm sure you'll be good." Willow said, "You're the Avatar, Master of the Four elements, you'll be fine."
"Yeah... I'll be fine." Luz said, staring at Grom.
Luz sat on a stump and drew in the mud with a stick. This was going to be hard, she may not show it, but she's had several fears as of late, all of them she has pushed out of her mind until today. Tomorrow night, they would come out, and she doesn't think she'll be able to beat them all. She let out a sigh and looked at the dirt.
"What am I going to do?" She asked out loud, "I wish I was fearless, like Amity. She's strong, fearless, powerful... pretty."
Luz blushed a little at the thought of Amity, realizing she's never had a feeling like this before.
"What's going on with me? Why does thinking about Amity make me feel all nervous and sweaty?" Luz asked, before realizing, "Oh my god... I like Amity."
Luz got a big smiled at the thought, why wouldn't she like Amity, she was the coolest girl she knew. Her smile started to fade when she realized something else.
"Who am I kidding? Why would Amity like me?" Luz asked, "She's way too cool to like me."
At Blight Manor, Amity looked at her note. She could've given it to Luz, but she was too cowardly to. Also, because Luz was chosen to be Grom Queen.
"She's really cute when she's scared." Amity said before shaking her head, "No, bad lesbian, now is not the time."
Amity got up from her desk and laid on her bed. Luz is going to need her tomorrow, and she had to give her note to Luz tomorrow.
"I'm going to do it."
(She ain't going to do it.)
The next day, Luz was getting ready for Grom, trying to see what would be good for fighting, dancing, and most importantly, looking good.
"Hey, Kid, you good?" Eda asked.
"Yeah, I just have to face my worst fear, I'm just peachy." Luz said, "What am I going to do Eda?"
"Be strong." Eda said, "That's what I did when I was Grom Queen. When I fought Grom, I thought it was the hardest thing I ever had to do, but I did it."
"I think I'm just going to focus on my outfit. Unfortunately, nothing I have is really meant for fighting like this."
Eda thought for a minute before snapping her fingers.
"I got it." Eda said, "I have an entire room of old clothes from the Human Realm, I'm sure you could find something there. Come on, I'll show you."
Luz got up and followed Eda. Eda led her to a door and opening it. Inside, Luz saw hundreds of outfits from the Human Realm, some modern, some old. Luz walked in and looked at some of them. She went through the piles before she found something she likes.
"Eda, when did you get this?"
"Oh, that old thing? I stole, I mean, borrowed from a big building in the Human Realm."
"Wait, that was you that robbed the museum!?" Luz asked.
"I wouldn't say robbed, it's more like... borrowed without permission." Eda said, "If you need, I have an old sewing machine to help fit it."
Luz looked at the outfit and smiled, this was perfect.
Next chapter is the fight between Luz and Grom, and then there's the... well, I won't go into detail, but you'll enjoy it... probably... not. Follow, Favorite, and Review for more.
