A/N: My loves! This is it. This is the final update for 'Child of Dawn' and just how can we already be here! I'll gush more at the end notes, but I just wanted to say. You spoil me with all the love and encouragement, so I'll spoil you with all 3 epilogues.

Epilogue

9th May 2011

"Theodore, this is a five-year old's birthday dinner, not her bloody wedding." Hermione said holding up one of the crystal glasses that was sitting on one of the tables. "You do realize how completely over the top this is, right?"

She was looking at the back of his head as he froze and turned around shooting her a smirk and lifting his shoulders. "It's a matching dinnerware set, I couldn't exactly split it up just so you could try and sneak plastic in here."

Dropping her head into her hands, Hermione waved her hand above her head and walked away. He was never not going to be a nightmare.

"Still not a nightmare, just bringing some class to my princess!" He called as she walked back into her house.

"Draco! Aurora!" Hermione called out as she stepped into her house and almost ran into Jiji running around preparing the food for the dinner. "Oh, I'm sorry Jiji, having you seen Draco or Aurora wandering around anywhere?" She asked stepping aside as the elf pushed her out of the way.

"Master and little mistress are out with the livestock. Jiji is a very busy elf, mistress. Mistress needs to leave Jiji to work. Out." He commanded as he snapped his fingers as chicken nuggets dropped into a fryer that had not been there this morning when she had come down for her morning coffee.

Chicken nuggets, to be eaten off crystal dinnerware. If that didn't scream Narcissa and Theo meddling, well nothing else could.

"Narcissa?" Hermione turned just in time to see her mother entering off the porch looking around with a frown on her face. "Did Narcissa come through here?" She asked looking up at Hermione who shook her head.

"No, mother. What are you wearing?" Hermione asked as Jiji snapped his fingers and effectively pushed Hermione from the house and straight out the door with elf magic. "Cheeky little elf, isn't he." Hermione muttered looking over her shoulder as the door slammed shut on her.

"A dress, Hermione. Certainly, you recognize a dress when you see one." Helen scolded her daughter as she turned to descend the stairs and walk the short path towards her own house.

"That's not a dress, mother. That's a bloody ballgown." The emerald silk with a lace overlay was floor length with a cap sleeve and a high neckline. Helen Granger only turned around and sent her a smirk, clearly, she'd been spending too much time with Draco.

"Well, go on and get dressed yourself. Your gown is hanging in the guest room in our house. Our guest will be arriving soon, and you need to be presentable." Helen said turning back and walking away from where Hermione stood with her mouth hanging open.

"What the fuck is going on." Hermione muttered to herself walking towards her parents' house. She couldn't even put the outrageousness of this party past either Theo or Narcissa. At least when it was only Theo, she could reign him in a bit. It seemed, that Narcissa was her own unstoppable force and Hermione just had to hang on for dear life and hope for the best. "Bloody gown isn't even going to fit. Fucking bloated and stupid breasts already a whole cup size bigger." Hermione muttered walking into the guest room rolling her eyes at the silver A-Line sequin sleeveless ballgown. Small favors with the cut that it should be able to accommodate the slight changes in her body, because honestly, why wouldn't she think she' would be wearing a ballgown for Aurora's birthday. Hermione slipped into the dress and cast a few beauty charms for her hair and makeup, refusing to put too much effort into this whole affair, because it might encourage them to continue to do things like this in the future.

She'd spent the whole bloody day throwing up, her tits hurt, and Draco fucking Malfoy was off who knows where when she'd spent the whole day trying to get him alone so she could talk to him. Fucking wanker, she'd asked for a lowkey birthday dinner for their daughter and instead he, his mother, and Theo had insisted for a bloody production and Draco hadn't put a stop to his mother and best friend. Honestly, this was as much his fault as it was theirs, she decided. Irrational? Yes, but her hormones were all over the place, and since he'd caused the reason for that, Draco was being blamed for everything irritating her today.

After finishing up, Hermione squared her shoulders and marched outside. She was going to find Draco and she was going to find him before a single one of their friends showed up and she had to make an excuse behind why she wasn't indulging in the champagne along with all the other adults.

Yes, champagne, for a five-old's birthday dinner.

Stepping back outside Hermione was stopped in her tracks. The sun was setting and above her were fairy lights, making the entire outdoor setting of her yard glow in the low light. On either side of the path towards her small pond were rose petals, signaling for her to follow it.

Lifting the dress, Hermione slowly began to walk, looking around noticing that there was no longer any house elves, parents, or Theo hurrying around the property setting things up. All was silent besides a softly playing violin that Hermione had no idea where the music was coming from.

Continuing on, it was becoming clearer to Hermione that this was more than just a simple over the top birthday dinner. The nervous butterflies for what she was going to find at the dock were becoming stronger until standing hand in hand were Draco and Aurora, waiting for her to join them. Draco was wearing a charcoal suit, complete with a silver bow tie the same colour as her dress, while Aurora's dress was just a miniature version of the one that Hermione herself was wearing. Looking between them, Hermione couldn't stop the smile that was forming over her face as she shook her head taking the last few steps before she reached them.

Draco was stood stiff and ridged with his shoulder back and a wide nervous smile playing on his lips. Aurora, on the other hand, was trying to imitate her father's pose, but was failing. The little girl was bouncing on her heels and kept lifting the hand not holding her dad's to wave at Hermione or blow her kisses. Her blonde curls were piled on the top of her head with a few strands left down framing her adorable little face, coming just a bit more undone and loose with each bounce she took. Her smile was missing the front two teeth, just making the picture even more precious to Hermione.

"What's all this." Hermione asked giving a coy wink to Aurora, who let out a giggle.

"Daddy has a question for you mummy. He asked if he could share my birthday with you and I told him yes." Aurora said twisting slightly so the material twirled around her legs.

"Oh, is that so?" Hermione said, finally meeting Draco's nervous eyes. "And what question might that be?" Hermione asked her daughter, but still looking at Draco.

After a pause, Aurora nudged her father and gestured towards her mother, "well go on. Ask her already." The girl loudly whispered.

With the slight encouragement, Draco looked down at Aurora and flashed her a bright smile before looking back to Hermione. Taking her hand in his free one, Hermione reached out to hold Aurora's other hand as well, so that they were all united in this moment.

"Hermione," Draco breathed looking her up and down, "from the moment we reconnected all those years ago, I knew you were someone special that I craved to have in my life, not matter how that looked. While we've had moments that tested us and tried to break us, somehow, against all odds, we're still here. I'm standing taller with you, than I ever could apart from you. You are my sun when the clouds are too thick and I struggle to see the light. You are my strength when I feel weak. There is no one else in this life who could bring me even an ounce of the life that you've already given me, and I want to see what else we can build, together."

Draco released both her hand and Aurora's while reaching into his pocket and pulling out a small velvet box. A smirk on his face, he looked to Aurora and gave her a wink and it was his turn to gestured his head towards Hermione.

"Mummy, will you marry my daddy?" The young Veela asked as Draco snapped the box open. Inside it sat a round sapphire accented by diamonds on a white gold band, and it was the perfect ring for Hermione. It wasn't too much for her taste, but it was enough that it still sang of class. Hermione's hand few to her face as her jaw dropped at the beauty of the ring. Shaking her head yes, Hermione held out a shaky hand to allow Draco to slip the ring onto her finger while a few tears ran down her face.

As Draco stood, he cupped her face in his hands and pulled her in for a long kiss. His tongue gently brushing against her lower lip with the promise of what was to come later, when they didn't have their five-year-old daughter watching them. However, as he went to pull away, Hermione pulled him back to her lips so that they were still touching so only he could hear what she murmured to his next.

"I've been trying to find you all day, there's something I've been wanting to tell you." Pulling back, he raised a brow in a silent question, making Hermione smirk. Leaning forward so that her lips were against his ear, she whispered "we're having a baby."

12th January 2012

There were a lot of words that could describe Draco Malfoy. Arrogant, wealthy, ridged, and totally and utterly mad for his wife. If he thought he loved Hermione before, nothing compared to the feelings that swelled in him as he watched her bring their child into the world. She was his queen, and he would do anything for her after watching her birth their ten-pound baby in the early hours of the day.

Now, that Hermione and the baby had been settled in, however, he had another task that he needed to tend to that day. He had to retrieve his little princess so that she could take up the new title of 'big sister' that she'd been so excited for since they day they had told her that they were having a baby.

It had been agreed upon that Aurora would be the first person that they brought into their room at St. Mungo's fallowing the birth of the baby. Helen and his mother had argued for a moment, but quickly decided that infuriating a swollen and grumpy pregnant Hermione wasn't the best road to take. Draco agreed very much on that front, especially since Hermione had been very vocal that his shit ability at casting contraceptive charms had made her 'the size of Missy'.

"Is the baby cute?" Aurora asked as Draco carried her through the halls of St. Mungo's towards the maternity ward.

"Very cute." Draco informed his oldest as she clutched her dragon to her chest.

"Do you think the baby is going to like me?" She asked her father, looking up at him with her silver eyes that perfectly matched his own.

"Without a doubt, my love. Your mother and I were both only children, that means we didn't have a sibling. So, you get to teach us how great it is to be a big sister. Do you think you can do that?" Draco asked taking a glance at his daughter, who had snuggled her face into the crook of his neck.

"Yes, I believe I can. Louie isn't the big brother, he's the little brother. So, I'll have to teach him too. Ms. Fleur has a younger sister, did you know?" She asked looking back up at him. Draco nodded his response that he did indeed know of Fleur's younger sister. "Maybe she might include that in my curriculum."

Draco couldn't hide his chuckle. So much like her mother, his sweet and wonderful Aurora. "I think Ms. Fleur would love to do that for you." He concluded as they approached the room with the banner across the door that said 'Welcome Baby' with little teddies and hearts on either end.

"Are you ready?" Draco asked before he pushed the door open.

Aurora took a deep breath and shook her head no, holding his face in her tiny hands, she looked up at him with tears swelling in her eyes. "Do you have enough love for both me and the new baby?" She whispered to him.

"Oh, my sweet princess." Draco said hugging his daughter close to his chest, as she admitted the fear she'd been living with for the last few weeks. He'd seen her becoming more withdrawn and clinging tighter to his leg as her mother's belly continued to swell in the final stages of her pregnancy. "My love for you can only continue to grow. It doesn't get taken away, only added to. Just like I have all that love for you, I also have all this new love bursting from me for the new baby too. And, can I tell you a secret?" He said the final bit lowering his voice watching the blonde curls fly around Aurora's face as she leaned in closer to him.

"I think my love for you and the baby will grow even more when I see you two together. So, do you think you're ready to meet your new baby now?" Draco asked whispering in his daughter's ear.

They sat there for a few moments as Aurora studied the still closed door, before she took a deep breath and shook her head. "Yes, daddy. I'm ready." Aurora murmured into his neck as he situated her back onto his hip and pushed open the door revealing his wife laying on the bed with a little bundle tucked in her arms.

Hermione's grin split across her face at the sight of her oldest daughter, opening her free arm, inviting her to join mother and baby in the hospital bed. "Hello my love. Come here, there's someone I want you to meet." Hermione said as Draco set his daughter down on the floor and she ran to the bed before climbing in next to her mother.

"Aurora Jean, I'd like you to meet Lyra Jade, your little sister." Hermione whispered reviling the little pink heart shape face like her mother, but the pin straight white blonde Malfoy hair on the top of her head.

Aurora let out a gasp with wide eyes as she looked at her mother and then behind her at her father. "She's like me." His oldest whispered gazing back down at her baby sister.

With this, Hermione's head snapped up at Draco with wide chocolate eyes "another Veela." It wasn't a question, and Draco could only smile and nod his head.

Of course, he'd sensed as soon as Lyra entered the world that she was a Veela, but he'd decided it would mean more to Hermione to hear the confirmation from Aurora instead of him. "Another Veela."

1st September 2021

"Mum! I can't find my jumper!" Aurora yelled as she threw all her last-minute items into her trunk. Getting down on her hands and knees, Aurora pulled all the books, shoes, and summer clothes that she wouldn't be taking to Hogwarts with her.

"IS IT UNDER YOUR BED?" Her mother called from down the hall, making Aurora huff with annoyance.

"NO!" She called back as she heard footsteps enter her room. Looking up over her shoulder, Aurora narrowed her eyes at the sight of her nine-year-old sister, Lyra, wearing her yellow jumper that she'd been searching for. "Honestly, can I have that back? I'm going to need that while I'm at school. It gets rather cold in my dorm." She said holding her hand out for her sister.

"But what am I going to have to remember you by?" Lyra asked fluttering her eyelashes, only making Aurora roll her eyes.

Lyra, unlike Aurora, was the spitting image of their mother with her heart shaped face and her large round eyes. The only difference was that she did have their father's pin straight white blonde hair and his silver eyes. Both sisters had inherited their mother's smaller frame, and at fifteen it annoyed Aurora to no end that she would be still be struggling to see over the tops of the other student's heads.

Normally, Aurora would entertain Lyra's antics a bit longer, but not this year. Aurora and her boyfriend, Louie Weasley, had been selected as house prefects for their fifth year. It was because of this, that Aurora was wanting to get to King's Cross early so that she could help any of the younger student struggling, even if it was technically before she had to start her duties.

"Fine, but if I forget who you are while you're gone, you'll have no one to blame but yourself." Her sister said taking off the jumper and tossing it so Aurora could snatch it out of the air. Spinning out of the room in a mess of the white blonde hair, Aurora just rolled her eyes and went back to double checking the contents of her trunk.

"I couldn't find it in the bin, oh did you find it?" Hermione asked as she stepped into Aurora's room with a warm smile on her face, noticing the jumper on Aurora's bed.

"Lyra had it, said she'd forget me if she didn't keep it." Aurora commented with a playful eyeroll that her made her mother laugh.

"Alright, let's go find your father. He was attempting to clean up after breakfast. Do you have Kiki in her cage?" Hermione asked making sure that Aurora had her familiar, a white cat she'd found at the muggle animal shelter.

"Yes, though Nana Cissy got her a new carrying case that looks like a purse. I'm going to go say bye to Gran and Papa before we leave." With a nod from her mother that she'd heard her, Aurora rushed out of the room and out of the house to the yard where the rest of her family was already gathered and waiting to see her off.

Throwing her arms around her grandparents, Aurora held them both tightly to her. "I'm going to miss you both, so much." She murmured against her grandfather's neck as he pulled back and gave her a warm smile.

"We'll see you at Christmas, write us whenever you want." Her gran whispered as she pulled back from their embrace.

Stepping back from them, Aurora took ahold of her father's hand once her mother had joined them, with her trunk shrunk down to make Apparition easier. With a final wave at grandparents, the Malfoy family popped out of existence and landed at platform 9 3/4.

"Nana Cissy!" Lyra called waving at their other grandmother as soon as they spotted her coming towards them from the other side of the station. "You know, I'm her favorite because we share a middle name." Her sister whispered into her ear making Aurora roll her eyes at the how outrageous her sister always way.

"That, or the two of you have the same favorite pastime. Scheme and meddling in other people's business." Aurora retorted at their sister, just in time to see their uncles Harry and Theo approaching with the grandmother.

"UNCLE HARRY!" The two sisters heard from behind them, not able to move fast enough, their youngest sister bounced off Aurora's legs before hoping up to take a running leap at the two men walking their way.

"Yes, well if we're following the name theory, then Fawn James is Uncle Harry's favorite since they share a middle name as well." Aurora whispered watching as Fawn's curly hair color change from the normal lilac that she tended to sport to the same messy raven hair of Harry's and a lightning bolt scar on her forehead. She'd even changed her chocolate brown eyes to the same sapphire blue that Theo had, making Fawn look like she could easily be their child.

Aurora's seven-year-old sister, Fawn James being a Metamorphmagus had been a shock to the entire family when she was born. The youngest Malfoy, their parents along with Healer Ella had all been anticipating another Veela when they'd found out that Fawn was on her way since both Aurora and Lyra had turned out to be Veela. When she was born, however, and she had a mess of brown curls and the darkest eyes they'd known right away that she wasn't a Veela. It was later in the day, when their father had brought the sisters to meet Fawn, that they'd discovered her abilities. Snuggling into the lilac sweater that Aurora had been wearing, the baby had sneezed and with that changed her hair so that it was same colour as the sweater.

As it stood, any child that was born with the Black family gene who had a muggle-born parent had some sort of special ability. Even though Nana Cissy had suggested (begged) for her parents to try for a little boy, saying maybe her parents would get their little Scorpius, Aurora's parents had said no way after Fawn. Lyra had on more than one occasion said that Fawn was not only a Metamorphmagus, but also an Imp. Her mother always said that Aurora and Lyra should be happy that Fawn was the last, because if she'd been the first, she would have been an only child.

"My little Fawn is not am Imp, Lyra Jade. She's precious and all things good." Uncle Theo chided the middle sister, who was standing and rolling her eyes at him with a smirk on her face as he pinched her ear.

"Well, tell me that next time you come over and she send your shoes to the bottom of the pond." Lyra countered putting her hands on her hips, looking exactly like their mother.

"Accidental magic," he tutted, "the sweet thing can't help herself." Waving his hand in the air dismissing the entire incident with a smirk on his face, knowing that Fawn had been annoyed with Lyra and purposefully send her new shoes into the pond.

Shaking her head, Aurora walked away from the still bickering pair and went to find her parents as she'd caught a glimpse of Louie's red-hair and knew that once she met up with him that they would get pulled into their new prefect duties.

"Come here," her mother said pulling her in for a hug and straightening out the cardigan that Aurora had thrown on. "I'm so proud of you. You're going to do great with your OWLs, if you need anything don't hesitate to write." She finished by cupping her daughter's face and giving her a kiss on the cheek before releasing her to talk to her father.

Stepping into her his open arms, Aurora dived right into his firm chest. Even though she hadn't met her father until she was four and she had memories of a time in her life when she didn't know him, it didn't seem to matter at all. He loved her so easily, even when she feared that he might love Lyra or Fawn more because he got to know them from birth. He never wavered; she was always his princess and she held one of the keys to his heart.

"I still can't believe there's a Hufflepuff Malfoy." He said looking her over laughing at his own joke. When she'd first been sorted and wrote home, he'd thought she was joking and it wasn't until her second letter home that he realized that she really had been sorted into Hufflepuff. "First you're a puff and then you date a Weasley." Wrapping his arms around her and pulling her into the air, just like he had when she was little.

Laughing at him, Aurora just shook her head. "You say that every year, now put me down before people start thinking that you should have been in my house." She said as he mocked surprise while setting her on her feet.

"Be safe, stay focused on your school, and we'll see you at Christmas, yeah?" He whispered into her ear as she felt a few warm tears begin to dampen her hair.

Pulling back, she looked up into the eyes that she had inherited from him and smile. "I love you, dad" she whispered as Aurora took hold of her trunk and began to back away towards the train. "I'll write you" she called out as she turned and ran towards Louie, who was standing and waiting for her.

Looking back over her shoulder, Aurora couldn't help but smile at her family. The way they started might have been a bit out of order, but the magic in the love they shared shined brighter than the dawn.

The End

A/N: THAT'S IT!

Are we surprised Aurora is a Hufflepuff? Well, you shouldn't be. None of the other houses seemed to fit her loving and loyal personality (the kid adopted a cow when she thought it was going to be going to a slaughter house, come on!)

FUN FACTS:

The three Malfoy sisters' names are all inspired by a friend of mine's 3 daughters (I won't actually list their real names, but yes, they are all similar to what the Malfoy sisters are named including their middle names *besides Jean*).

May 9th was my due date with my second baby, who I happened to find out I was pregnant with on his sister's 5th birthday. This was also my 10-pound baby. January 12th is my daughter's gotcha day (day she was adopted)

IF YOU LIKED THIS STORY:

Go ahead and check out my other works! I'm currently working on another Dramione where Draco wasn't aware of his children, but it's COMPLETELY different from this story. It's a WIP called 'If Only' and is regularly updated.

I'm considering (if there's enough interest) a sequel of sorts to this story. It would include; Aurora becoming a full fledged Veela, finding her mate, reconnecting with Lucius, getting to know Lyra and Fawn better and more. So, if that's something you would like to read, let me know!

Thank you for joining me on this wild ride. This story along with your love and support have helped me through a rough time in my life, and for that I appreciate each and every one of you more than words can express.

So, as my mother always told me, 'be good to each other and I'll talk to you later.'

In Loving Memory; my beloved mother, Lynda. Your name means beautiful and that is the life you lived.
