(From the Rooftop Above Juan's Kitchen. Minutes Later Rattata and the Juan sprite look down through the Skylight into Juan's kitchen. Rattata watches, captivated as the Chefs scurry about, preparing the gourmet meals).

Rattata: I cannot believe it. A real gourmet kitchen and I get to watch.

Juan: You have read my book. Let us see how greatly you know. Which is the Chef? (Rattata points out Guzma, who is berating another cook).

Rattata: That guy.

Juan: Incredibly good. Who is next in command?

Rattata: The Sous Chef... there. (Rattata Points out Ulu). The Sous is the reason for the kitchen when the Chef's not there.Saucier; in charge of sauces, especially important. Chef de Partie, DemiChef de Partie- both important... (Rattata says Pointing). Commis, Commis, Commis... theyare cooks. Especially important.

Juan: You are a clever Rattata. Now- who is that? (Juan is pointing at the garbage boy Sieboldwho is clumsily steering a mop and bucket through the kitchen).

Rattata: Oh... him? He is nobody.

Juan: Not nobody. He is part of the kitchen. (Rattata says Dismissive).

Rattata: He is a Plongeur or something. Washes dishes or takes out the garbage. He does not cook.

Juan: But he could. (Below, Sieboldaccidentally knocks over the pot of soup, spilling it. Rattata gives Juan a patronizing chuckle).

Rattata: No. (What We See, but Rattata does not desperate that no one notices his mistake, Siebold quickly replaces the pot on the burner, and mops up the floor).

Juan: How do you know? What do I always say? "Anyone can cook".

Rattata: Well, yes. Anyone can. That does not mean that anyone should.

Juan: Well, that is not stopping him. See? (Rattata watches aghast as Siebold quickly chums the water from another pot into the soup to refill it to its former level, haphazardly throws in A Couple of spices and Berries).

Rattata: No! This is terrible! He is ruining the soup! And nobody's noticing?! It is your restaurant! Do something!

Juan: What can I do? For I am a figment of your imagination.

Rattata: But He's Ruining the Soup! Weneed to tell someone that he's Ruin... (The skylight suddenly gives way, and Rattata Plunges down- Juan's Kitchen with a Splash Rattata lands in a sink filled with soapy dishwater. Rattata paddles to the surface, climbs onto the counter and tumbles over the edge, hitting the floor with a Splat. Then On the Kitchen Floor, Under the Counter Rattata Hides. Giant Feet (belonging to busy Cooks) boom by on either side. Surrounded by the enemies of Pokémon kind, Rattata is extremely Near death. From Rattata's perspective the kitchen is a terrifying place, full of Fire and Noise. Rattata runs out from under the counter. The door to the walk-in Opens, knocking Rattata across the floor and under the stove. Above him rows of burners Ignite. Rattata races across a walkway, under another counter and out the other side, nearly run over by a Dining Cart. Rattata dives underneath it, using it to cross the kitchen camouflaged, sticking his head out, Rattata spots an Open Window on the far wall a way out! He runs for it, climbing up a dish rack to the counter. He is close to the Open Window. He scrambles up onto a copper pot toward it, but the lid slips and he fall inside. Rattata Looks Up and realizes the window is Moving Away and thinks to Himself. "What is happening?!" The Pot is in the hands of the Cooks and is going away. The chef sets the pot down near a stove and exits. As Rattata heads back toward the window, a wonderful Scent hits his nose. Rattata Sniffs, following it to a Pan filled with Berries. Enticed, he crawls inside, and it is only then that he notices the Large Turkey, moments before a Cook picks up the pan and slides it into the oven! Rattata barely escapes before the oven door Closes, Springing from the oven to another passing trolley, which bursts into... The Dining Room. Rattata is wheeling into the plush hush of the restaurant and pulls up to a table of well-dressed Diners. A Waiters Hand reaches down for a peppermill, grabbing Rattata instead- which startles them both. The Hand instantly Releases Rattata, who quickly leaps on to another passing trolley, the one heading back to the kitchen. Juan's Kitchen - Rattata jumps off the trolley and hides. Rattata looks up at the window – a Chef Closes the Window and he no longer open! Siebold comes to the Soup pot and tastes the soup. It is horrible, so horrible that- he runs to the window, opens it, Spits the soup out into the alley and walks away groaning from the horrible taste- Leaving the Window Open. Rattata now sees his opening and runs for it, climbing a broom handle to a shelf above the stove that leads to the Open Window. Dodging jars of spices he runs through the steam from the soup bubbling directly below. It is so disgusting that- without thinking, he grabs a spice from the counter, throws a Dash in. Rattata starts for the window- thinks better of it, adds a couple of leeks, adds a little bit of pepper, starts back to the window- and stops. Rattata's gaze returns to the boiling pot. Rattata looks back at the kitchen: the cooks have not noticed him yet. Rattata looks at the window: it is still open, and the path to it is clear. The Juan SpriteAppears).

Juan: Rattata! For What are you waiting?

Rattata: Is this going to become a regular thing with you?

Juan: You know how to fix it. This is your chance... (Rattata considers this. Then, filled with purpose, he jumps to the stove top, turns the burner down, hops up to the "spigot" to add water to the soup. Quickly losing himself, Rattata proceeds to remake the soup, alternately smelling, tasting, and adding ingredients to it. He grabs a pawful of spices to toss in and Suddenly Sees... Siebold wide-eyed and brandishing a ladle. They Stare at each other for a long moment, deer caught in each other's headlights. Rattata drops the spices into the soup. Rattata Has Been DISCOVERED!).
