Keen and her Padawan make their way back to Alderaan. Halfway through the flight, the Jedi pulls out her comm. "Hey, Kanan," she says, sounding casual.

"Keen," comes his reply.

"I need to speak with you, and Hera."

"I'm here too," the Twi'lek says.

"Good. So...what would you say if I were to come back?"

"What about Leia? Doesn't she need a Master?"

"And that's the thing. She wants to join the crew. I told her I'd talk to you," she sighs. "She's talked with Viceroy and Queen Organa, and neither have anything against it. It's up to the two of you."

The silence from the other side of the line causes panic to spread across Leia's face. Keen can practically see the two having one of their silent conversations. Finally, after a few minutes, a response comes. "Kanan and I talked it over. We don't see an issue with her joining the crew. We're looking forward to seeing you again."

"Same to you two."

Not long after the conversation with the two rebels, the Imperial shuttle lands on Alderaan. The two disembark, to find Bail standing out in the docking bay. "How was it?" he asks, as Leia walks up to him.

"It was amazing! Thank you for letting me stay with them!"

Bail smiles at the Princess, before drawing his eyes up to the Jedi. Keen smiles at him, thanking him with a nod of her head. "Your mother is waiting with the ship."

The three move across the docking port, where Bail leads them to the Corundrum, and Breha. The queen smiles when her eyes land on Leia, and she pulls her daughter into a hug. She looks over at Keen, letting go of Leia to pull her into a hug as well. "You take good care of her, Ari."

"You have my sincerest word, Breha."

As soon as Breha let's go of the Jedi, Bail takes her place. "And take care of yourself, as well," he orders.

"I'll do my best."

The viceroy pulls away from Keen, gathering Leia into his arms. He places a kiss to her hair, before letting go. He gestures the two aboard the shuttle, smiling at them. Keen fires up the engines, the Alderaanian royal family waving them off.

The Jedi Master lands her shuttle on the Phoenix Squadron ship. Disembarking, the two are met by Kanan, Hera, and Ahsoka.

Leia looks at them, smiling. She offers a wave, to which Hera returns. Kanan looks at them with a smile as well.

Ahsoka smiles at the Princess, before gesturing with her head for Keen to follow her. The Jedi rolls her eyes, following the Togruta down some corridors. She can sense Leia, Kanan, and Hera following close behind.

Ahsoka grabs Keen's arm, dragging her into a small office-like room. "What the kriff were you thinking?"

"Soka, I dont need this from you. I'm fine, you're fine, we're all fine."

*Leia*

From the corridor outside, Leia can hear the two arguing about something. She notices a wistful grin on Kanan's face. "Are they always like that?"

Hera looks over at her, "I've not been around the both of them much, but, from what I have seen, I'd say yes."

"Your ship isn't looking that good."

"Yeah," Kanan responds. Leia gets the feeling that he isn't too happy about being here in the first place. "The Empire hasn't been that kind to us recently."

"I dont think the Empire is ever kind, except to themselves. Especially not to those who fight for freedom."

"You're pretty wise for a kid."

The shouting from the Jedi and Togruta once again echoes through the corridor, filling the comfortable silence the three rebels had been sitting in.

"Isn't anger against the 'Jedi Code'?" Leia asks, addressing the Knight.

"Yep," he responds, as he sits on the floor. "You're Keen's Padawan, right? What all have you learned?"

"Not a lot," she shrugs. "We've been pretty busy."

*Keen*

The Jedi directs a glare at Ahsoka. "Listen, Soka. The Force sent me to train her, she's strong, you know that. I've been lectured by Bail, and Breha. I am fine, and I'll be careful."

"Good, now, c'mon. Commander Sato wants to speak with us."

The two Force-sensitives exit the room, walking past the Knight, Captain, and Princess. They make their way to a control room. Ahsoka walks over, leaning against the wall opposite the holotable. Keen stands next the door, while Leia goes and sits down on the stairs.

Hera activates the table, from which arises a hologram of Jun Sato, "The destruction of our command ship has severely limited our ability to fight the Empire in this sector."

Ezra slides into the room, his eyes gliding over Keen, and Leia, as he states, "So maybe we don't fight-Uh, Commander Sato, sir. When things got tough for me on Lothal, I'd go find some place to hide."

"You are never shy with your opinions, Ezra Bridger, but establishing a base is a good idea."

"Problem is," Hera adds, "none of the potential bases we know of have the tactical advantage we need to protect what's left of our fleet."

"Or aid the nearby systems suffering from Imperial oppression," Kanan grumbles.

"We can't help others if we can't help ourselves, Kanan."

Thinking out loud, Ar'iabel says, "If only we had more allies."

"I know someone who might be able to help us." All eyes turn and fixate on the Togruta, "A great military commander with a vast knowledge of the Outer Rim. He could assist us in finding a base, and his experienced leadership would make him a powerful ally."

"How do we recruit this leader?" Sato asks.

"That's the problem. I lost track of him a long time ago, and all my transmissions have gone unanswered."

Almost under her breath, Keen breathes out a name of an old friend, of which only Ahsoka hears.

"We can find him," Ezra enthuses, "Let us try."

"Well, there is one option I've not yet attempted."

The Ghost crew all leave the room a few moments later, leaving Leia and Keen in the room. "I know you want to come with us, Princess," she starts.

"I understand, Ari. I think I'd like to get better acquainted with the ship, and the rebels. Maybe I can help out in some way."

A smile crosses Keen's face. "Okay. Don't do anything stupid...at least not until I get back."

The Alderannian princess meets her eyes, "How can I? You're taking all the stupid with you."

"Oi," she says, faking anger, "I'm the Master, and you're the apprentice."

Leia grins, "Of course, Master," she says, sounding sarcastic.

The Jedi Master rolls her eyes, leaving the room.

Ahsoka enters the cockpit of the Ghost, an odd shape bundle in her arms. When Ar'iabel's eyes rest on the shape, she tosses the Togruta a confused look, "The head of a tactical droid, really?"

"These droids were great at finding things, calculating. Found my master and I a few times when we didn't want to be found."

"Maybe they did, but Anakin was always poodoo at hiding in the first place. I'm sure this 'Great Military Leader' is better at hiding than Skywalker could've dreamed."

"You may be surprised."

"How in all the galaxy is that droid gonna find your friend?" Ezra questions, pulling the conversation back on track.

"Well, I heard he was last seen in the Seelos system. You can start there."

"You're not coming with us?"

"I have something else to attend to," comes her smooth response.

"The Sith Lord," the Knight says, surely.

"What about Vader?"

"There are questions, questions that need answering."

"You may not like the answers you receive, Soka."

The Ghost crew, and Ahsoka all look at her, Ezra breaking the silence by saying, "I wish we could go with you."

"You have your own mission, Ezra. And, Kanan, if you find my friend, you must trust him."

"If he's all the things you say, we can't afford not to," he states, sounding confident.

The Togruta stares him straight in the eyes, "Trust him." The doors close in front of her, and she swiftly leaves the Ghost.

"What was that about?" Ezra inquires of his Master.

"I have no idea."

If this great military leader is who Keen believes him to be, then Ahsoka has reason to be worried about Kanan and his trust. The clones betrayed their Jedi, whether they wanted to, or not, and it'll be difficult to forgive. Difficult, but not impossible.
