Author's Note: Glad to finally continue.
You're all probably wondering about my plans for this story and the rest of my Marvel/Disney Channel shows crossover fics. Well, I came up with a system. I'll be doing a cycling order. such as the Owl Sanctum, the Black Panther of Amphibia, Iron Hero 7, The Ghost, the Trickster, and Molly McGee, Howard's Ducktales, Marvel Falls, and America and Star vs the Forces of Evil. Once I'm done with all that, I'll restart the system and go in the same order. So after this, I'll be moving onto the next chapter of The Ghost, the Trickster, and Molly McGee.
Hope you enjoy the chapter. Any and all comments are welcome.
Two weeks have passed since the fire at SFIT, and Tony was finally ready to step out of his house. When he woke up, he was greeted with a robotic voice echoing from the walls with a British accent.
"Good morning, sir."
Tony sighed as he struggled to get up. "Hey, JARVIS. What's on today's schedule?"
"Well, you did set today to be the first day you get out of the house with your arc reactor."
"Oh, yeah." Tony said looking down at his chest, where there was a glowing blue light emitting from the top center. "How's it look, JARVIS?"
"At top efficiency, sir."
"I know that. I'm not dead." Tony said. "I mean, is it presentable to the public? I don't want to look like a human flashlight."
"I see. Well, you'll be wearing a shirt which should cover up the light."
"Well, that's something." Tony said as he began to get dressed. "Anything else?"
"Yes, Obadiah Stane has been wanting to contact you as soon as you are able. Said he wanted to discuss the future of Stark Industries with you."
"That man is relentless." Tony said. "Fine. I'll call him during my car ride."
"All righty then, sir. Mr. Hogan will be waiting for you out front."
Tony continued getting dressed. He put on a red T-shirt and a pair of brown pants. He left his manor only to be swarmed by photographers and reporters.
"Tony Stark, how are you doing?"
"Any comment on what happened to your father?"
"Will you continue your education at SFIT?"
"Hey, hey, hey!" shouted a built man pushing the reporters away from Tony. "If you want to ambush somebody, join the military! Until then, this kid's off limits! Now, shoo before I break out the hoses!"
Though the reporters were insistent, they eventually broke off when Happy Hogan kept threatening them. When they were gone, he led Tony to the black limo.
"Thank you, Happy. Those guys are vultures."
"Nah. Vultures are relatively social, believe it or not."
"Really?"
"Oh, yeah. I read it in a biology book once."
"Hmm. You learn something new every day."
Tony got into the backseat while Happy went behind the steering wheel. When the car began to move, Tony pressed a button on his video seat and made his call.
A middle-aged man with a balding head and a business suit appeared on the screen behind an office desk. "Hello, Tony."
"Hey, Stane. Heard you wanted to talk to me?"
"Oh, yes. First of all, I'd like to express my condolences. What you went through was quite traumatic."
"Gee, thanks, Obie." Tony said rolling his eyes. "Now, you got something else?"
"Yes, I wanted to talk to you about Stark Industries. The board has named me temporary CEO until you come of age at your next birthday."
"You?" Tony asked. "No offense, Stane, but you're not a scientist. Do you even know what a optimal oscillator does?"
"Don't need to. I may not know science like you, Tony, but I'm a very successful businessman. Just let me keep this company afloat for a couple of months until you are old enough to inherit your father's seat like he wanted in your will."
Tony sighed. "Okay. Sure. Anything else?"
"No. That pretty much covers everything. See you in a couple of months, Tony." Obadiah Stane pushed his button and the screen blacked out.
"I don't know about you, sir," Happy said from his driver's seat, "But that guy's a bit of a snake."
"Tell me about it." Tony said. "So where to on my first day out the house?"
"Well, I was thinking I'd first take you to my favorite café." Happy said.
"A café?" Tony asked.
"Oh, sure. Soothing environment. Sweet cooking. And the hostess there is very customer friendly."
Tony shrugged. "I could do with café food."
Upon arriving at the Lucky Cat Café, Happy brought Tony inside and they were immediately greeted by the hostess there.
"Hey, Happy. How's it going?"
"Pretty okay, Cass. Just showing Tony here around."
Cass gasped with a smile over at Tony. "So you're Tony Stark?"
"Last I checked, yes."
"Nice to meet you." Cass said. "Would you like the usual, Happy?"
"Hit me." Happy said. "And Tony would like a…"
Tony went through the menu written behind Cass and made his order. "I guess a simple cup of coffee will do."
"Coming right up." Cass said beginning to whip up the orders. "Why don't you boys take your seats?"
"Sure thing." Happy said as he headed to a table.
Tony was about to follow his bodyguard, but something stopped him. Between him and Happy crossed a large, walking figure white and plushie like a marshmallow. Tony couldn't take his eyes away from the big, white creature that exited the café.
"What the…"
"EXCUSE ME!" cried out a younger boy who rap past Tony too.
"Wait, isn't that…" That's right. Tony was seeing Hiro Hamada.
Happy finally took his seat, but when he turned his head, he saw Tony leaving the café behind Hiro and the white creature. "Tony? Where are you going?"
Tony followed Hiro and the robot across the city, one street after another. Eventually, the white robot stopped at the front of a warehouse. So that's where Hiro stopped too followed by Tony.
"Where were you going, Baymax?" Hiro asked.
"Your tiny robot was trying to come here." The white robot said.
"Tiny robot?" Tony asked. "What's going on?"
"Whoa!" Hiro said in response to seeing Tony. "How long have you been following us?"
"Since the café." Tony said. "Hey, aren't you that kid at the showcase with the microbots?"
"Uh, yeah." Hiro said. "How'd you know?"
"I was there. I'm Tony Stark."
"Stark?" Hiro asked in surprise. "As in Stark Industries?"
"The same."
"Tony Stark appears to be suffering some kind of cardial injury which is being treated repeatedly by an energy-powered, artificial heart." Baymax said. Tony stared right at him.
"Okay. What's which this thing?"
"Uh, this is Baymax, my brother's last project." Hiro introduced. "He's basically a robotic nurse. And clearly, he's on the fritz if he's following a malfunctioning microbot."
The conversation was halted for a minute the very minute that Happy Hogan caught up to them. He had been running for a while and was completely out of breath.
"Don't… Don't move." Happy said in between very deep breaths. He gave one last deep breath that was very long. Once he was done, he was able to speak normally. "Tony, what was that? Why did you leave?"
"Don't blame me, Happy." Tony said. "I was just following Hiro here."
"And I was following Baymax here."
"And I was following this tiny robot here."
"Baymax, there's nothing here." Hiro said taking a glass cannister with the shifting microbot inside. "It's just…" That's when he noticed something about the microbot in his hand. No matter where he turned the glass, it kept trying to shift toward the warehouse. "Wait. I think… it really is trying to go here."
"That's impossible." Tony said. "Hiro, at the showcase, didn't you say that microbots only respond to a neurotransmitter?"
"I did, and it was supposedly destroyed in the fire." Hiro said. "I think we need to get in there."
"In there?" Happy asked. "Oh, no. I don't think so. We could be trespassing on someone else's property."
"Didn't read the sign? This place is condemned." Tony said. "Come on, Happy. Where's your sense of adventure?"
Happy reluctantly decided to come along. He, along with Hiro and Tony, climbed on top of Baymax to reach an open window. Once Happy made it through, he helped Tony and Hiro get through successfully. Baymax, on the other hand, was stuck in the window.
"Oh, no. Excuse me while I let out some air." Baymax said. His body then gave a loud, long hissing sound letting the air leave his body. Hiro and Tony together pulled him through the window. "It will take me a moment to re-inflate."
"Fine, but keep it down." Hiro said. He, Tony, and Happy continued their exploration into the dark warehouse.
"I don't know about you guys, but this is really freaky." Happy said. "Maybe we should leave now and it won't haunt us. I'm pretty sure Cass is done with our orders by now."
"Wait, I found something." Hiro said grabbing a broom and approaching a large machine that seemed to be automatically making something and placing it on a line. Tiny, black, metal pellets were sent down into a metal barrel along with a large pile of more.
Tony scooped up a handful and examined them. "Hey, Hiro, these little tablets are more of your microbots."
"That's not it." Hiro said pointing more ahead of them. What laid before them were hundreds of other barrels that seemed to be full. "Someone's making more."
"But why?" Tony asked.
"Uh… maybe this is a clue." Happy said. He pointed at a dry erase board with pictures taped to it. These pictured depicted either a circle or a sparrow. They were connected by red thread along with newspaper clippings and a map of San Fransokyo.
"Hiro."
"AAH!" Hiro gasped before turning and finding Baymax behind them. "You gave me a heart attack!"
"My hands are equipped with defibrillators." Baymax said rubbing his hands together. "Clear."
"STOP!" Hiro yelled. "It's just an expression."
"Uh… kid." Tony said pointing back at the hundred barrels. Everyone looked how microbots began flying out of them and looked ready to attack them.
"Oh, no." Baymax said.
"RUN!" Happy yelled out beginning to run with the others.
"BAYMAX!" Hiro yelled at his robotic companion who was only going at a very slow rate.
"I am not fast."
"YEAH, NO KIDDING, PANDA MAN!" Tony said grabbing Baymax by his hand and pulling him away from the wave of microbots heading toward them.
The four of them kept going through narrow spaces and ventilation shafts to be able to escape. They escaped the floor grates, but were then flung over to the overhead scaffolding. That's where they found him.
A figure in black was commanding the microbots. He wore a white kabuki mask with red lines and yellow eyes. At the center of his forehead was a blue light that was very familiar to Tony.
"Wait a minute. Is that… my arc reactor?"
"THE WINDOW!" Hiro said as he pushed Baymax toward an open window. Unfortunately, like before, he couldn't get through.
Everyone tried their best to push Baymax through, but nothing was working. Suddenly, everyone got pushed out at once when the masked man used the microbots to force them through the window. Thankfully, Baymax caught everyone helping them make a harmless landing. Everyone stood back up nearly scared out of their wits.
"Okay, that guy was scary!" Happy yelled.
"Those were my microbots!" Hiro said.
"And my arc reactor!" Tony said. "How does he have them? And how is he building all this?"
"I don't know!" Hiro shouted. "We got to get the police!"
