A/N: Not a chapter, sorry. Just an update, as a few people have wondered about this story.

The story is fine and will be completed. Life is just unbelievably packed right now. Work has had a few long-timers retire and is very busy with workload improving back to pre-pandemic levels at the same time, so those of us that haven't retired, especially those of us who have been around long enough to know the ropes on all the accounts, are more busy to compensate. Grass season has opened with a vengeance, and my yard takes eight hours to mow, spread around in hour increments on any available weather day since I never have eight unclaimed consecutive hours. My father continues his battle against stage IV cancer, and he is proving to be a very tough fighter indeed, although we've had multiple hospitalizations in the last year. Writing, while still perking along just fine mentally, has trouble finding time to write down.

Also, upcoming in another two months is the full trial for the murder of my family member, which occurred in February 2019 and on which we have been trudging through the legal system since. Hopefully postponements are almost over and we actually will get to a trial this time. We've had countless preliminary hearings and conferences; yet another occurs tomorrow. I can safely say that I have never read a murder mystery that came close to presenting accurately the sheer procedural steps of this process, and I've read a lot of murder mysteries. Anyway, pre hearings and conferences are picking up a bit as we approach the actual designated trial week. That is going to take a lot of emotional energy for the family.

I am going to attempt to start writing stuff down for 10 minutes at the end of each day, which hopefully will build chapters slowly but surely. Searching for longer windows of opportunity simply isn't having success. So have patience, and it will be completed. And thanks for the thoughts and well wishes.
